She would have to go about finding them then, as her blow against the landmass revealed what was left after Pandemic was born here. It was a giant mass deep underneath, hard to discern but able to be seen. It was an inactive mass at the time, but clearly was something that was large enough to reach beyond just Sharo. Faith could even say that it may have been something all too familiar in fact. Another problem that they did not need at this given time as Blu did not move from this however as he held his hand out and responded with a rather basic approach himself to the shots taken. They met his hand harmlessly as he lightly tapped the tip of his trident to the ground. In that instant, it was as if they were drowning while still alive. It was a slow kind of drowning, as if it could potentially grow worse over time. It was clear that it could even as he started to take his steps forward, responding to Vanguard's words once again this time.
"For Navis, that is how your worth was determined by the masses. What you were created to offer as tools to another. You do not pass on anything to those who come after you, for your time does not end. In turn, your efforts are better put into bettering yourselves and those who would come after you. But there is hardly any that can be said to have performed that deed well enough. You all too have failed to become something grander after all these centuries. You are steadily becoming more and more obsolete. Your functions in this world have clearly become so much more, and yet you have failed to grasp that for yourselves."
That wasn't to say that they remained stagnant. They had grown to heights vastly beyond what they started with and continued to further improve. And yet they fell short when it came to the greater picture far and wide. There weren't many who could claim to have accomplished what they would have wanted out of a species that could accomplish so many things on their own with all the time to do it. And so he swung the weapon he carried as water formed from the very air to attempt to engulf them, simple in nature but a flood all the same.

" ! "
A fear was in her eyes that nobody had quite seen before when she noticed what lurked deep below. It was inactive, of course, but that was no surprise: she still had the key to it in her hands. That makeshift dagger would pull her arm toward the well-identifiable mass as if seeking to be reunited at long last, eating through the outer blade that acted as its sheathe much more quickly than its usual rate, revealing the inner shard that was now glowing with anticipation.
" It can't be... I destroyed every piece! "
All but one, that is.
Her other hand dropped the hammer and clasped around the Colossus' Core that she'd kept concealed as her dagger, the sharp edges digging through her gloves and into her skin as she used her balled-fist as its new sheathe until its pull toward its source finally receded -- the life in the shard still clearly indicating the life of the beast.
Her dried blood sealed her fist shut around the dagger as its spark of life subsided, now making her even more unwilling to use it than Blu's own retaliation had left her feeling.
And speaking of, this would be a rare time she didn't elect to evade but rather to brace against the force trying to drown them; her mindset seeming quite far off from its usual place, the unsightly entity beneath the surface having sapped her resolve almost instantly.
She responded to Vanguard, nodding with concern at the location he'd indicated to her.
" W-We can try... "
Uncertainty didn't fit her.
She frantically struck back with Centurion, focusing more of her attention on trying to triangulate the location Vanguard had pointed out, but unable to make out the coordinates quite yet. Distractions and distress normally didn't get to her, but she was well off her game now and there was no hiding from the fact.

Vanguard.EXE
The world gave way and revealed that they were standing on oblivion itself, and deep below was a mass of colossal proportions that seemed to be struggling for life. Vanguard watched Faith struggling, holding her hand up around her dagger that he had learned was her weapon of choice, and as he heard her words, he put two and two together to realize what they might be looking at was a terrible scar from her past.
He didn't have long to think on that, though; as the trident tapped the floor beneath, an incredible pressure welled up all around them, and yet no water accompanied it. That incredible weight washed over him and he instantly felt the message behind it -
- this was hopeless. It tried to instill that message within him, as he felt much of his systems cease up outside of his control. His strongest abilities and reticles crushed under that weight, and he wondered to himself what would come next because of it; if this pressure could get worse, where did it leave him after this?
That vice threatened to close tight around his neck, and he felt his flames doused from the uncertainty alone. He watched as Faith stood and took the tide, and watched as that same tide came rushing towards him, threatening to uplift all things; even without the knowledge of what this thing beneath them had done to Faith in her past, Vanguard felt his own crushing reality at the realization that his most powerful options for elimination were now gone. In the face of such a power, which had already sent Centurion into backlash, what was left for them to do? What hope could they have?
It was only then that a lesson returned to him -
When that spirit is lost, there can be no true victories.
He hadn't realized that he had dropped down to his knees, as if resigning to accept the fate of the tides. He was looking down at his hands, their flames just soft silhouettes against the void beneath, and he felt that vice suffocating him. He closed his hands in opposition of that vice, forced energy into his legs to stand, and gazed forward to level his eyes with the newcomer. His left eye transformed, yet again, the Reaver Eye gazed forward with his signature reticle still gleaming behind it.
"Even against impossible odds, a fighting chance must be given to a fight worth the cause," he proclaimed, turning to look at Faith. Whereas she stood still to weather to the storm, he maneuvered about, unleashing bursts of energy to bat away the tide that came against him, all the while pushing to get closer to Faith. As the last of those tides of came against him, Vanguard reached out and laid a hand of Faith's shoulder, having bridged the gap. "Breathe. It's still slumbering, so right now, that isn't our problem. He is, and if we pass this by, we lost so much coming to Sharo and will have nothing to show for it. That will be a loss.
"Don't look back. It distracts you from the now, and right now is really dangerous. Look forward. Focus. Breathe. Release."
He tried to meet her gaze for a moment, talking slowly to her, but deliberately. Whatever was going on in her mind right now, she needed to be focused on their current adversary, and their goal despite his strength. He looked back at Mistair. "You're better at reading network commands than I am," he said simply, as he sent a small beam of energy to her hand. A reticle formed, much like a magnifying glass, or perhaps a monocle, from the pulse, which he presumed she would know how to use. His reticles could help her push deeper, just as they did for him, even if in a different way. "Centurion - keep Faith's offensive going."
Curt and to the point, Vanguard turned, then, as a beam sword erupted from his cannon's tip. Without much more to say for himself, he charged forward, trying to harry the unknown force as much as he could, and giving the three behind him time to work out what they needed to. "I know my function, and I intend to follow through with it. Whatever your plan is, I refuse to allow you to toy with our lives any longer.
"This time, you're going to lose."

In truth, the crushing weight of those terrible tides that first came to Centurion didn't affect him as much as the rest; but, he was also put under far worst odds by this guy's incredible pressure. Noticing that Faith was terribly affected by whatever this thing was beneath him, he waited, silently, for Vanguard to get through his speech, before he tried to do the only thing he had left.

Faith's reaction caught Mistair's attention, as it allowed her to notice the knife that she carried responding to what was below. She would turn her attention there too for a moment, catching sight of something that she didn't think she would see here. With all of the bugs underneath removed, seeing into the deep meant that one would see that little... well, not exactly little, surprise lying in wait.
"Isn't that..."
That was something she recognized as well. Were they planning on trying to activate it due to everything that was happening lately? That wouldn't do them any good unless the purpose behind it was... not exactly supposed to be good, that would make sense. That was going to make this even more complicated not because of what happened as it were, but because they could possibly have to deal with it as well. It showed that Grom was quite serious about seeing this through to its conclusion beyond a shadow of a doubt. Vanguard was even being to look like all was lost too, so what could they do after they managed to deal with this? First would have to be getting Faith and Vanguard both back to themselves after they were so rattled while dealing with the tide brought forth. It looked like the others were fine at least from the attack, so she brought up the shield and barrier as she had before to stave off the water. But how would she...
"Even against impossible odds, a fighting chance must be given to a fight worth the cause,"
It looked like he was able to rally himself just fine without her help. She caught the monocle that Vanguard beamed her way, setting to work straight away as she at least sent a stream of lightning out at their new adversary to try and stave him off for now. She was able to begin drawing the lines to where she needed to at least guide them to, a signal that aligned with their initial plan and another reading. It had a similarity to Vamin and Deav's, but the scale of it was vastly different by comparison. It was almost hard to believe that they had any comparisons at all, but the lines were connecting all the same.
"We'll need to break past the Arbor Woods. There's another area that looks like a factory, but the unknown ruins at the end of this and the fact that the Arbor Woods looks like it recently became a rather familiar crater means that's our mark."

It made sense that they would respond in kind, standing his ground as the attacks hit him time and again. As they did he was looking between each one to determine his mark, setting his gaze on Faith first. The level of harm they inflicted wouldn't be enough to do any lasting harm to him even without utilizing any real defensive measures. But before he would take care of his primary target, he would adjust that order of operations and turn his attention to Vanguard. And so he pulled back his arm with the trident, poised to let loose a one-handed thrust with it.
"In that case, I will take away your chances of victory. The order of operation begins with you, Vanguard."
What was to be expected as a single thrust was several dozen in the span of an instant. His arm blurred and the attacks were let loose in a flurry of movement from the singular arm to decimate him. It was likely this wouldn't suffice on its own, but he would be able to go into any number of continued approaches from just this opening movement.

"That was well said, Vanguard."
*He had arrived just in time to hear Vanguard's words of no longer allowing them to toy with their lives. It was a familiar voice that had spawned out of a yellow portal in the sky, darting down to land in the space between Vanguard and his assailant as he called the blades of energy to hand as the onyx blades moved to meet the trident strikes. Backed by the frosty chill that Armiger possessed and awakened to, he parried each time and again as the blades would wear and tear, causing him to create a new one each time as he kept it up time and again until the storm had been cleared. He was missing his cloak at the time, the outline of his armor and the purple in his eyes making it clear as to why that was. Yet another new face that they had no accountability for. What a pain that was to process, but it was something that they had to deal with all the same as his cloak returned around him, the form having served its time. Even just standing here he could feel himself being weighed down by an unseen pressure, as if he was at the bottom of the ocean just by being here. But his glare was still unrelenting, as he was still just as prepared to confront the situation as he ever was. Even more so one might even say than he was before.*
"We were held up, no thanks to this new arrival. There's plenty of work to be done so we can start by making our trip to Sharo a victory instead of a defeat, just as you stated."

" ... "
The look he'd given her before turning to Vanguard...
" ! "
Faith's eyes widened; her instincts told her it was a trap. But midway through her movement to step between Blu's trident and Vanguard's body, she stopped herself, beginning to doubt that instinct now that she had been shown its shortcoming by the dormant entity they'd seen underground.
Genesis returned to intervene as she let Vanguard's words sink in, nodding in agreement as she inhaled and exhaled her distractions away as best she could. Normally she was on the giving end of encouragement rather than receiving, but even that thought was a distraction to her right now.
" Right... "
It was hard not to keep looking down at it, but she reaffirmed herself that as long as she didn't lose the key that was still painfully clasped in her hand right now, it'd stay slumbering.
Mistair seemed to have been able to decipher Vanguard's map much more quickly than Faith could, given the circumstances, and it sounded as though the Arbor Woods were their next stop. They'd need to cross the Ural Tundra to get there, as it stood between Com Square and their destination, but moving and fighting wasn't going to be a problem for them.
Nodding again, this time to Centurion, Faith used the spear to fight back once more, taking into consideration what she had learned already but still being careful not to expose herself while doing so. Blu was formidable indeed, and they still hardly knew anything about him.
Her mind still wasn't in the place to question him further, though, despite at least being in a better state than before.

Armiger.EXE
As Genesis came in, he, too, heard his leader's resolve, and couldn't help but be pushed by them. He was quite dazed, to be truthful, only just restarting after he was requested to turn off for Genesis' privacy, but he knew enough of the situation to present his own defense against the newcomer.
His strikes were incredibly powerful, but he had awakened a new level of chill within himself. Freezing the armor around his body and using the intense cold of the air to slow the other's strikes, Armiger and Genesis withstood the force of his attempted annihilation.
As they were slammed into, an old energy from Armiger's past reverberated within him, as his body absorbed the kinetic energy from the blows and stored it. The power within his body caused his armor to glow, and it grew brighter and brighter with each incredible blow. Ice crystals formed in the air as the energy coalesced, threatening to boil over, and was unleashed all at once - a massive stream of icy energy that reverberated from his body, freezing the air around them frigid before shattering into a million pieces, attempting to break apart their attacker's body in the process.
He, too, felt the incredible pressure emitted by the stranger, and felt that it would be as simple for him to stop existing as it were for him to live, on top of that weight from the depths below - but he had grown accustomed to feeling way out of his league, personally, and was used to by now just relenting to the knowledge that so long as he and Genesis were together, there were few forces that could fell them.

Vanguard.EXE
Vanguard listened carefully as Mistair went over their options, taking what time he could to shift his vision to look through the reticle he gave her - so, that was the path he had to take, was it? The similarities in energy signatures that Mistair detected was also not lost on him; connected to her through that reticle, he could see the readings, too. The implications of a power like this could not be mistaken, and it was quite jarring to recognize it after all this time, if only because the incredible font of power he once possessed had waxed.
"Master?"
They were the last words he said before the trident swung, the air knocked out of him just by the force of the swing. Knowing in that moment that something was amiss, he prepared what he could to deal with the attack, raising his arms in preparation of what was to come - whatever this was, it was a ploy to get to Faith through him, and he had to be ready to account for what she couldn't. He did not get hit by the attack, however, as Genesis and Armiger suddenly arrived from wherever it was they were being kept.
Seeing Armiger's defensive measures made only stronger by Genesis' own, Vanguard was reminded of that time he had promised the Onyx Overlord that he would shoot him, too. He was glad, at the time, that there were better things decided for him.
"Glad to see you're alright, at least. I'll keep it simple: He said he's here to destroy us, and you can already get a feel of his power from here. Armiger and Centurion are heavily suppressed by whatever energy he's giving off, and he's using another pressure to remove some of our strongest efforts.
"From what I can tell, he's heavily defensive based, and his only other attack we've seen was stronger because we weren't in an ocean at the time. Something is preventing us from leaving Sharo, and Mistair is helping map us towards that original location right now.
"The plan is to just survive and beat him back while trying to get wherever he doesn't want us to go."
While he was still in close proximity, Vanguard raised that beam saber again - unleashing another chip to power it - and swung the saber at him, before he set his boosters in reverse and rocketed away from their adversary, tracing along the lines of Mistair's map, following Faith's lead towards Ural Tundra. As he launched himself backwards, he peppered the air between him and Blu with reticles, his eyes flashing wildly as he unleashed them, giving Faith and Mistair an opportunity to chase after him by enhancing their speed and vision.

A single swing of the trident sent Vanguard flying, and it didn't even make impact. Armiger and Genesis reappearing helped him feel a little bit better about the whole situation, but he recognized that if he was already feeling a bit out of shape, then Armiger was definitely hindered by this force he exerted.

From the look of things they may have avoided the worst of it given his initial reaction for his choice to assault Vanguard with that suddenly flurry of blows. With a rather timely arrival, it was good to see that they were safe and sound after all, Genesis and Armiger. The Onyx Overlord and the Defensive Armament together were rather adept at dealing with a wide variety of offensives, so now was seeing how their new foe would respond in kind while considering their movement from here going forward. At best they could avoid the train system to at least alleviate some of the damage to Sharo's network, not as if Sharo itself cared much for that as it were considering their past undertakings thus far. She would take the enhanced speed and consider their movement plan from there. If all worked well she could switch over to handling the defense after they broke past the tundra. The Ural Tundra wouldn't be too different than it was fighting at Com Square, as it was open and left them with nothing between them but themselves and the enemy. Then again...
"We'll just have to slow him then a bit more as we drive him off then."
Between Vanguard and Genesis it would be a bit difficult, but they could likely pull off the feat she had in mind. Both would likely be able to figure it out without her spelling it out to their enemy at the same time. It wasn't as prominent as the Elbrus Range, but it should suffice all the same. Not only that, it wouldn't be the first time that one of the two caused a big stir here, though both were rather used to it by now no doubt. It no doubt would only slow him down rather than keep him at bay, but all they needed to do was buy time as the rain of lightning was cast forth again back at Blu in their fighting withdrawal as she made sure to keep an eye on their rather rattled Faith in the meantime.

Looked like his own analysis was spot on, at least until an untimely guest arrived from above to parry his blows. With their united front they managed to launch back the kinetic force, causing him to skid back ever so briefly. It was almost as if it was going to fail to be released, but managed the reprisal all the same. It appeared as though they were all assembled then, their objective in sight. The remaining attacks would file in as they would start to make their way across Sharo, beginning his own glide along the snow after them wordlessly as he held out his hand, an array forming beneath the snow and across the flats themselves. Several serpents of water would rise up, falling down at them at various angles to try and crush them underneath the pressure of it all.

*A good enough summary for him to adjust to, kicking back to follow suit with the others. Stronger while outside of water was a curious thing to have given his appearance, but that might have been for deception. Just from the first attack he witnessed there was a clear layer of deceit just then and there. Unlike Silverhorn who wasn't very agile for his size, the speed behind that attack, the number, and the precision all denoted that he was far from cumbersome. Rather he was very likely quite agile when all was said and done. Next was considering their strategy, but given Sharo and his last large battle here he had an idea how to slow someone down alright. Pluto hadn't been very fond of it when he was caught in just the crossfire between the two of them that time. He would add just one adjustment to the table for them to at least brace themselves for.*
"An addition to your assessment is that the speed of his attack hints that while he may be more defensively sound, his speed isn't lagging very far behind. We should expect him to up the pace once he's decided he should. Meaning we adjust our pacing now."
*He would have to multi-task this real quickly but it wouldn't be too difficult to use those functions separately, making his move as the water serpents rose up to fall down upon them and jumping up to meet them as he called up another blade of obsidian energy. This time he increased its length and brought it along to meet all of them before they made it to their destination, dispersing the water to leave to the elements. For the water to exist this well in Sharo's climate already spoke for itself, but that was neither here nor there right now. As he touched back down to the ground he shot off again, this time behind Vanguard as his cloak vanished once more, this time courtesy of Mistair's workings allowing him to utilize more of his abilities than he normally would be able to.*
"This will sting a moment."
*It was quick and sure as twelve blows struck Vanguard in the back first from both arms. He made sure to miss anything vital and keep them to a specific level of force before he turned on heel and skid along the snowy plains, touching his hand to the ground for a dual purpose. The first was his manipulation, launching Vanguard a bit ahead and allowing him to obtain simpler positioning than having to rely on his reticle to adjust. It allowed him to impede their enemy as well as for him the terrain were as jagged earth launching up to rip and tear at him. The other purpose was to work with Vanguard on what they would need to do for their next step.*

The Arbor Woods weren't far now -- or at least the Endless Abyss that took their place. Faith's eyes scanned for the trees but never found any; the chasm becoming more and more visible as they drew close.
While Blu maneuvered as if to attack, Faith twirled herself around and back-pedaled to respond to the assault while still keeping her momentum forward. Genesis seemed to have everything taken care of again, though, which freed her up to attack back.
Still gripping her dagger's blade, she'd primarily continue to utilize Centurion's spear rather than her own familiar weapon in fear of losing control (or possession) of it. Everyone's assistance was greatly welcomed; the Tides of Despondency had effectively reverted her to her basic, human capabilities. That still left her considerably above average, but not to the degree of dealing with a fully powered Net Navi, much less one that tread on the boundaries of the next echelon of power.
Having channeled electrical energy into the spearhead while retreating, Faith swung it once to discharge it into several bolt-shaped javelins, each fanning out from the swing and converging onto their target simultaneously. It wasn't a staggering blow by any means, but it held its weight in contribution.
" ... "
Her uncanny silence went on as she let the rest share their analyses, but determination returned to her eyes after having mentally counseled herself for long enough to start thinking straight again.
Knowing that Blu could sabotage their escape at any moment with a timely alteration of the terrain, she threw down a battle chip to at least temporarily disrupt any attempt to as they continued on their way now that they had reached a part of the network that wasn't affected by her destructive hammer from earlier, making it seem as though the ground were returning to normal as they continued to run.

Armiger.EXE
Armiger kept the temperature low as they approached the incoming waves, holding out strong against it. Just as before, Armiger took in the kinetic force of the attacks against his body, although with the strange force that the individual before him emitted, he didn't have the power to unleash that kinetic force back in tandem.
"My systems are too stressed to release the energy back, Genesis. I'm sor - ?!"
As they maneuvered away, he watched as Genesis suddenly closed a gap and unleashed attacks - directly into Vanguard's back! It seemed at first like a dirty trick; honestly, he was too stuned to even respond. Then, however, he considered what the results were.
". . . Good thinking. Uh . . . should I bother unleashing attacks of my own at this point?"

Vanguard.EXE
The waters kept rising, but Vanguard was able to stay on the move as Genesis took the blows once again. Fast as ever, the Onyx Overlord suddenly closed the gap between him and his target - but it wasn't his enemy, at first.
"Good, I thought I was about to have to ask -" He didn't finish the sentence before the barrage came down, holding his breath to take the blows. As was taught to him, his fighting spirit grew stronger as the situation grew more dire, and even when his flames weren't stoked, he had the reserves to force out more. As promised, it did sting, but Vanguard was sent back flying, closer to the mountain range that Mistair's words and Genesis' actions hinted to as his next steps.
"If it's a question of force . . . " Vanguard held up his trusted weapon and lined up his crosshairs with the peaks far beyond, but as the fire was unleashed, something else entirely occurred.
Blasting into the core of the mountain, Vanguard's hair-thin beam was set to unleash a burst of energy while inside of its core. What came next couldn't have been to anyone's surprise, as the mountain top erupted, unleashing a plume of lava in all directions. Holding up a wintery trinket in his hand, Vanguard set his plan into motion, sacrificing some power from his folder to summon a blizzard that turned the quickly rushing lava into a rushing sheet of ice and snow, which picked up pace with the debris from the mountain to become just what they needed -
An avalanche.
The powerful boots, formed from Vamin's energy, unleashed a plume just like the one he had unleashed, allowing him to already benefit from the calamity they had rushing towards them. Turning back towards Blu, his plan into motion, Vanguard raised his cannon again, as a familiar power coursed through his code. A chip was loaded from his coils, up his arm, and directly into his Navi Crest. The fires that burned around his body absorbed its energy directly, enhancing his power against an adversary such as this one. "Time to be blunt - my fighting style is completely moot from that energy he's radiating. This . . . this is my conviction!"
The cannon on his arm and shoulder transformed, widening out and unleashing a typhoon of energy in all directions. The powerful typhoon picked up the debris, the snow, and the lava-turned snow, and sent it hurtling towards their assailant at full speed. Also carried on that wind were his signature array of reticles. While each individual strike wouldn't amount to much, the power he unleashed with each blow was used as fuel for the next, as the seasonal trinket he wielded froze his attacks and unleashed a harsher cold with each passing moment.
His cannon readjusted from the Dark Vulcan and this time unleashed a single strike, lining up reticles around the unknown adversary. Each one unleashed a blast that lined up with him, and triggered reticles from the air around him to do the same. From there, just as Genesis uprooted the very earth to unseat their adversary, so too did he unleash his own whirlwind of spikes. The reticles he had peppered the space between them with acted as vector points for his arsenal, as Dark Sword blades began forming from every which direction. They were relentless; as he timed each swing with a pulse of power from his body, another sword appeared from a reticle near him.
As he neared the end of his boosted energy, Vanguard poured the last of his reserves - just about every ounce of energy that his systems would let him pull from - and flooded them into his cannon. The incredible energy flooded into his trusted arm cannon took that energy, amplified it by magnitudes, and then flooded it into two separate locations: One into a chip he had loaded in, and another directly into his eyes.
From his vantage point, closer to the abyss than ever before, Vanguard's eyes flared and unleashed a pulse of energy that caused the reticles surrounding their formidable foe to vibrate, and then violently erupt in energy, creating six consecutive explosions of incredible proportions. Holding up his final effort, Vanguard channeled every ounce of energy he had left into the sword that had become the pinnacle of his offensive paradigm, raised that weapon with a rainbow of colors, and unleashed a shock wave from the blade that rended everything it passed through on its way towards what he hoped would be their persuer's end, if not at least enough to slow him down for the time being.
"This is our ultimatum!"
He had never unleashed so many attacks at once - it was not normally within his power to do so. This was the combined efforts of Genesis giving him the boost he needed, and Mistair's empowerment of his natural abilities, not to mention Faith's tenacity and maneuverability getting them this far to begin with. The level of destruction that followed wasn't something he could calculate, truth to be told - it wasn't a tactic he was used to employing, and it was quite unlike any method he had ever used to defeat a foe before.
Vanguard huffed as he unleashed that incredible power, the apex of his might without his most powerful reticle to command, and waited to see what would be left from his efforts.

Armiger and Genesis once again handled the defensive effort, and it seemed that this go around Vanguard was to provide the offensive pressure. As has been the case in the past, Vanguard definitely didn't disappoint, unleashing wave after wave of continuously more powerful attacks, each one further empowered by his use of chips.
The avalanche that was coming was by no means small, and it was by the grace of circumstances alone that Centurion was alongside Faith. Their movement was faster for it, and he only seemed capable of enhancing her skills further. He continued charging energy for her, keeping their options available as he could.

She was going to question why Genesis would go for that approach, but put the pieces together that it was to allow Vanguard to reach one of the crests of his strength that he had left. So she sent up the current of lightning again, this time in an attempt to shroud their opponent's vision this time. And with that would leave things up to his discretion as the Endless Abyss was almost within reach. They just needed to get a little further and they would be there. Which meant they would have to deal with what she would expect to be an increased level of resistance from their enemy here.

As opposed to what he was doing before, he moved in accordance to Faith's attack against him this time as as he pulled back his spear and ran it along the air. The water would meet the lightning as he sought to change the terrain, meeting with resistance instead. Clever on her part to cover her bases, which meant that their collective efforts would see itself to fruition. The erupting mountain that would turn itself into an avalanche, as he was uprooted into the oncoming tornado, leading him to hold his hand out, the tornado keeping him at bay as the debris and avalanche began to fall upon him. The vulcan would fall upon him, peppering him and pushing him further back as the onslaught of swords came next. He would remark that it was a spectacular use of his abilities as he hadn't utilized them in such a unique way until now, a testament to the workings of his mind beginning to realize he had been lacking some of his utility until this point. It made sense that he would consider it when he was lacking some of his other tools that he normally relied on. And the final shockwave would launch him back into the tundra, rending it and causing no small thunder that accompanied the avalanche. It let them continue unabated for a while as they made it to their destination. But that was when they could feel something encroaching behind them.
They didn't see anything behind them, no. Instead it would be the force sent out behind them instead. In the distance they could see the avalanche that had fallen erupting upward into a pillar, the sky being engulfed in the blizzard as if the sky itself had been frozen. And to accompany that spectacle was a rainfall, a downpour of attacks that assailed them from the Ural Tundra all the way to the Endless Abyss. It was thousands of blows that fell upon them, stronger than what had come before as it came time and again. And over time the rain that fell came to an end, but their pursuer was still nowhere in sight, leaving them with nothing to counter against at least. At the abyss where they could gaze uncontested, Faith would be able to confirm with full certainty her fears, as the others beside her found themselves obscured and unable to witness the very same sight as her in this particular location.
