Somewhere at a water treatment plant computer network...
A server that was made up of a series of pipes and various looking machinery to carry along commands and operations to the real world machines and mechanisms responsible for purifying water for real life people. It was currently besieged by various viruses running amok at the behest of some unseen force, soon taking it over. They were not the only ones here as a red colored form seemed to glide through the air unnaturally, almost like a hologram or after image they were gliding so fast.
Kuwanger hadn't been sent here, and he was definitely not here to clean this mess up- though that could be entertaining for a short time. In fact, he had been the one to release them in the first place. With his accurate computation and analytical abilities, Kuwanger could spot and identify patterns to a final end point and beyond. He could also seemingly jump between different points of time. Indeed, with the wider world at large he had definitely noticed something of a reoccuring theme of sorts. So what was his reasoning for this then? Boredom. Why did anyone do anything? Being able to predict and see things in an almost 4th dimensional manner made everything else seem so... dull and boring. He needed something new to reinvigorate himself. Would this act of cyber terrorism do that? Not by itself, but typically when one caused an issue that affected many people, someone came to investigate and put a stop to it.
A sensor went off, and was soon followed by someone busting virii. As always, he had predicted accurately but the ony thing that one couldn't always predict with perfect accuracy, is WHO it was. Just like with the current event sof the world, he could accurately tell WHAT was going to happen, but there were far too many details and possibilities without data. Kuwanger's form once again seemed to blur as it broke the laws of space and time, gliding around to a vantage point above the action to see who it was that answered his call to action...
"I was wondering when you'd show up." Came a call from below, as what viruses remained seemed to scurry about, looking for a place to hide.
A hazy feminine figure was all that was immediately visible from above. However, as the smoke cleared, details emerged. A white, almost sliver, messy bob of hair. An eyepatch, a mechanical arm, a more well defined figure, and a smirk, as the navi in question looked up to greet the arrival.
"Whoever thought of this must be almost as bored as I am." The figure stated, having sensed Kuwanger's presence as he arrived. "In fact, I'd be willing to bet they're so bored, they'd love a good fight right about now."
The figure had an odd air about her. The way she moved, there was something inexplicably erratic about it. As if she had no set protocol for her movements.
There was a certain sort of electricity in the air, as what appeared to be a camera drone circled the room. "Do me a favor, try not to spoil the show for the folks at home." They said as if this were a work of some sort. It was almost as if they were doing this for sport.
This was the least likely outcome Kuwanger predicted, a brief hypothetical like all predictions were. He didn't recognize this navi, and he ruled out it being a case of her just not drawing attentiont to herself as that was precisely what she was doing when she revealed a recording drone. Kuwanger had strategically chosen this particular perch for a number of reasons, with some including obscuring his form. It was enough cover to get an idea of his body's shape, but enough to let the imagination fill in the gaps and to an untrained eye his 'horns' would strike a menacing visage.
"I would agree with you, however I've only seen you," Kuwanger admitted simply, not lying but also trying to deflect suspicion away from himself. Then the drone would suddenly be sliced in two so quickly, if you blinked you'd miss it as just as quickly, Kuwanger's form blurred from his perch to just above the drone where he took his horns off, and cut it down through the middle. Then he settled back down onto his perch in a crouched position, more light revealing a more stag-beetle like form. "Apologies, it would be better for me the less people saw what is about to happen. But you are correct..." Kuwanger admitted as he stood up and almost instantly glided to another location lower down. "I can tell you want to fight, and you dispatched so many viruses. But let's see how your specs stack up to mine..." Kuwanger's voice seemed to drift again as he moved around his would-be opponent, stopping on ground level before her...
There was a brief mix of bewilderment, irritation, and fascination visible on the navi's face as she watched her drone go down. "I'd complain about how expensive those are, but I'm sure you have every intention of paying for a replacement, right?"
A smile soon replaced the previous look. Her eyes were closed, and yet she radiated some malice while she waited for the rapid, barely traceable, movement to end.
Sure, he was quick, but he hadn't seen all of her abilities just yet. "So what else can you do? Or do you just rely on your speed to get you through everything?" She laughed a bit as she considered other quips.
"You know, we really should stop beating around the bush here. We both want a fight, and that's exactly what we're going to get." The air around her became charged, and at the same time, heated, as she bounced on her heels.
Who was this woman? It was a question that had yet to be answered, as she waited for something in her words, her aura, or even her mannerisms to bait her opponent into attacking. "That is, of course, unless you're scared. Maybe they should call you chicken-man?"
[201 words] [Blitz Intro post 2] (note: both colors are Blitz, just showing different sides of her personality.)
Kuwanger was less of a boaster, though his revealing some of his capabilities was in of itself part of a way to get an inkling of his opponent's specs. You could learn a lot by observing how someone reacts. Someone more agile like himself, for example would be able to better keep up with his movements and also not look as surprised. But her response did tell him that she was confident in her power, and with how many viruses he estimated were eliminated, that was enough to warrant a degree of caution. The lack of ranged weaponry and elemental display also told him enough.
"Just as much as you rely on brute force. But no sense in dragging out dialogue, let's get this party started!" Kuwanger quipped before reaching for one of his horns. It easily popped out and revealed a bladed boomerang-like weapon. He quickly wound up for a toss and let it loose, sending it hurling off to the side as it quickly started to veer back toward its intended target. This would be revealed to be a distraction, however as Kuwanger shifted closer- and clicked his boosters on as a verdant green energy blade emanated from his fore arm. He swung from low and upwards in a passing slash attack, trying to quickly get out of close range if his hunch about her was correct...
A navi with avoidance protocols would surely have gotten out of the way, or avoided damage by some means. Blitz, on the other hand, just stood there smiling. It was the type of smile that would unsettle most. "Well, well. Looks like I picked a good place to alleviate my boredom." She said, as the small cuts began to slowly knit back together.
"Though, don't go getting the wrong idea. Just because I took those attacks, doesn't mean you'll win this fight." The dual-elemental energy surrounding her seemed to intensify with each passing second, as she surged forward, trying to punch her opponent in his face. Her hand wrapped in the same elemental energy, as she did so. "I mean, after all, we've only just gotten started. It's way too early to call it just yet."
Kuwanger's attacks had definitely damaged her, but she wasn't about to let on. She couldn't let herself show even a moment of weakness in times like this, that was how otherwise strong navis like herself lost battles. "Besides, wouldn't want the fun to end so soon, would we?" She said with a wink, which may have appeared as a blink, though it internally made her sick to act that way.
As Kuwanger passed in the midst of his passing slash attack, his boomerange had made its mark which told him something else. It took a deal of processing power to be able to make the space-time jumps he did and even now time seemed to be flowing so slowly to him. His first attack hit, and the boomerang was trying to correct itself and return to him but it was the aftermath of the attack that interested him. Was she regenerating?
His second attack also hit, but he then had a fist coming his way before he could properly analyze the effects. So he delved into his speed once more, twisting and simply moving his body out of the way with an afterimage left in his wake before getting a distance away from her. "Interesting. Your power means little if you can never hit me though," Kuwanger pointed out as he caught his boomerang, not even arrogantly- this was fact. But he did notice that his attacks likewise had less effect than he had predicted. His boomerang had cut and moved on, and he didn't feel any noticeable resistance with his arm blade.
She used electricity which gave him an idea for later, given that they were in the network of a water treatment plant. But for now- regeneration seemed a likely possibility and one that needed to be dealt with. "Well, come on then if you think you can keep up," Kuwanger challenged her simply, the boomerange in his hand started to pulsate and seemed to be gathering power for something. He'd fix any regeneration real quick and given her nature, she'd walk right into it for him... if his predictions were right.
"Much as I'm enjoying this little exchange of barbs, I already know that I can't catch you, at least not as I am now. But then, I don't need to catch you in order to beat you." The navi admitted as much freely. She was simply that confident in her abilities. "And who knows, a well placed attack here and there? You might just catch yourself for me."
She smirked, waiting for him to attack. Sure, she could tell that her regenerative abilities were not enough, but that wasn't about to make her stop fighting, nor show the pain she was feeling. The affected areas seemed to glow a brilliant shade of gold, denoting where his previous attacks had landed, so it wasn't as if her opponent couldn't see how well he was doing against her. That didn't mean she had to give him the satisfaction of acknowledging his progress, though.
This time, rather than aiming for his face, she aimed her attack at the pipe behind him. She pulled her punch so that if all went as planned, she wouldn't destroy the structure. During this time, the energy she was channeling seemed to intensify once again, signaling that she was up to something.
His opponent continued to prove... predictable; something to stroke one's ego for sure. For Kuwanger however the fight thus far going generally as planned was quite dull, but he aimed to finish it at least. Through another moment of time dialation, Kuwanger noticed at her next attack looked like it was going to miss him- slow and inaccurate? It was hard to tell with how fast he was but not taking the risk, Kuwanger jumped again. But this time, his opponent would get more of a sneak peek into what she was actually dealing with due to her proximity to him.
"Heads up," Kuwanger said simply as his form seemed to just- blink out of existence and in his place, was her throwing the exact same attack back at her, but it was actually aimed at her. This 'doppleganger' looked confused and surprised but couldn't stop the attack, and it was only afterwards that the doppleganger would blink out of existence. This would be followed by a now fully charged attack in the form of a verdant, green glowing bladed boomerang aimed to cut through her- stopping her regeneration abilities on top of that. "You ever stop to think about what things would be like if you had made a different decision? Like if for example, I had chosen to be more aggressive from the start and pushed you back toward that pipe? I admire the consistency though, you have just as much spunk in that timeline as this one," Kuwanger remarked off-handedly from his higher vantage point as his horns popped back out of his head, the bladed boomerang being recalled. h\He took it off again and threw it down toward her... but it was aimed at the pipe she had originally been aiming at, and it would definitely cut through.
