The ACDC network; perhaps the most simplistic and old-fashioned networks of all time. Pathways and platforms still encompass the entire network and bring out that perfect, old-fashioned feel. It's like picking up a game from your childhood. It's hard to imagine how important this little neighborhood actually has been, but it definitely is one of the reasons that the world as we know it still exists.

*Things had gotten pretty crazy in what could be considered an inconsequential amount of time. It all took off at Netopia with that weird short kid... then several attacks on various fronts that hardly ever happened before. Then a raid on one of their labs and now this. He was surprised at how intense everyone was these days. It wasn't good for the health at all, not in the least. And yet they were going to be completely gungho about it, weren't they?*
"Well, a job is a job. But I don't get how they're so willing to risk their lives over things like this. What a big old mess this all turned out to be..."

It was peaceful as it should be... but to say this was but the calm before the storm would be all too well. As it was here that a tear opened in both the sky above and on the ground level below, revealing from the sky one of the fleet ships not unlike what had appeared when New Life itself was under attack. From the ground tear came Preons of various make and designs, the sky tear having one figure that flew out like a jet before changing shape into a more familiar, yet unknown one.
Standing at 9 feet tall was a large being by design in all forms. Gold in form and trimmed with a duller hue of the same, he had elongated shoulders that point upward, having a straight and narrow head akin to a spear, much like his two shoulders. He has a protrusion from the side of both wrists as well as an opening in his back, scarlet orbs that may have represented eyes looking over the area. It was as if he wasn't looking at just the area that was before him, but something else altogether.
"It's only fitting that one of the central areas to go after was this one here. We'll wipe the slate clean before they can finish their part."
From the sky would rain the first bombardment as the bombs were dropped from on high, aiming to set the ground below ablaze in the bombing run as the golden one moved toward a more specific destination with an all too clear target in mind.

*They certainly were in a hurry now weren't they? Like their encounter with Vile, the orange barrier that they'd seen twist and warp about the Undefeatable Hero of Villains was present about him as well. An orb of energy began to pulse through his hand as he proceeded to slam it into the ground, several pillars of energy erupting upward to meet with the bombardment before it would reach the ground, detonating them in the air above to coat the sky in a fiery blaze. This one was about getting right to business so while he would love to beat around the bush, he would have to do so while in the thick of it. He didn't want this to end up like his last engagement with them after all, several blades spinning in the air and hovering about ready to be cut loose.*
"Just got no respect for the fine arts, huh?"
*And so they were sent loose, a majority of them aiming to make way for the one that looked not unlike the other one that had barged in uninvited last time as some of the others were left to deal with the foot soldiers that were brought along as well.*

Steve the navi that had been mostly a good boy during all of the dire, nitty gritty and possibly traumatic events that would stack on top of each other like an increasingly unstable Jenga stack, would be wandering around as per the norm as he still had no clue what had been going on. He would never know what was going on, being completely oblivious to the chainlink of events that would make this peaceful day suddenly not so peaceful any more. But as fate would have it, all it took for things to come falling down was a player to make a single wrong decision- which was a more literal case in this instance.
Steve looked up, and saw what many would easily agree, looked like the sky was falling. Oh no! The sky was falling! Regardless of whether or not what was coming down screamed explosive doom, it'd probably do some damage- one might even land on Steve! But Steve panicked and ran around with no clear direction for a moment and tripped. But then pillars of energy would shoot up and stop the sky from falling, also presumably making quite the fireworks display that made Steve feel much better about his situation.
Then there was a Shadow Steve- or rather Steve's Shadow Clone which smacked him. Steve protested Stevely about being smacked. What was that for? It was obvious the crisis was averted by someone who wasn't Steve! The Shadow Steve pointed a nub toward what was clearly an army. Oh. That was bad wasn't it? SMACK.
Shadow Steve was now armed with a newspaper that he totally DIDN'T "borrow" from any conveniently placed newspaper stands. Shadow Steve pointed a nub and started making Scolding Shadow Steve Sounds. What? SURELY this meant absolutely nothing, and even if it did mean something, Steve was sure that there would likewise be someone to handle them. Right?
A tumbleweed conveniently rolled by. SMACK. Steve was getting tired of being smacked! Steve retaliated with Steve Slapping Shadow Steve- falling through his clone instead and onto his face. Oh... right. Funny how clones worked. In any case, Steve would take this chance to Steve Scurry away and hide, and see what happened first before contemplating risking his Steve life against an entire army- they were scary!

A beam of light descends from above not far from Steve's coordinates as another newcomer enters the area. His tangerine-colored eyes skim the area for a moment, taking note of the hard-to-miss ship in the skies above.
The navi brings a white-gloved hand to his lowcut hair, rubbing it as he assembles his thoughts for but a moment.
"If there's this much going on, why isn't the media talking about this...?" he asked no-one in particular. The scene didn't appear to have become a full-on battlefield yet...but the two tears in the area helped the orange-eyed navi realize this might be only the early wave of this assault. If this was it, he'd be happily incorrect.
Stealing a glance at the two huge heavyweights he made a mental note to try and stay out of their way, returning his attention to the crowd that were emerging from the ground-tear.
He had no idea what the creatures were, but as far as he could tell they were definitely the invaders.
Attempting to find a better vantage point, Glassman broke into a run and took a leap onto a higher platform, getting a better view of the army...and it surely seemed like quite an army, even at this early moment in time.
'I'll test these waters out first.' he thought to himself.
Materializing a large shuriken forged from glass on his left and an orb of light in his right-hand, Glassman gripped the orb tightly and hurled it...to the right of the army?
Before the orb could make contact, Glassman sent the shuriken on a curved path in midair as it spun continuously. The glass shuriken then deflected the light orb, changing its course so that it would explode into the front of the army. The shuriken itself was then sent on a low path through a portion of the army, attempting to cut through a fair number of them like a blade across one's legs.
Watching the army closely, Glassman focused a bit of energy inwards, preparing to continue if the time proved right.

Steve would've found himself a similar, elevated hiding position when he saw another beam of light- this one coming FROM the sky. Once the momentary panic of the sky falling again passed, Steve relaxed upon seeing someone else in the area. He had no idea who it was though, not that he knew who pretty much anyone or anything around here was. Holy crap! He could super-jump and stuff! At least in Steve's mind that seemed quite a feat, given his short stature.
Steve and Shadow Steve watched as he seemed to ready an attack- another ninja? Sweet! That was just barely enough reason for Steve to want to help. But first, Steve wanted to see what kind of effect the attack had on these... whatever they were. Who threw glass at people anyway? It'd probably just break or something, if Steve's prior experience with throwing stuff at glass windows was any indication.

Coldjoe would arrive on the scene to see what all the fuss was about. "Well that ain't good." he spoke surprised as his singular Red eye scanned the army below. "yeah no that definitely isn't good". Noticing the Navi with the shuriken to trickshot the army from above him before following up with a glass shuriken?
"Hey Glassy mind if i cut-in?" IceJoe said with a chuckle as he pulled out an orb with frosted smoke rising off of it holding it behind himself it began to glow as his eye scanned for the best possible trajectory before he pitched it. "ice Granade!"
inwardly sighing he thought *that sounded a lot better in my head.*
as it flew threw the air it flew over a good portion of what was left in the front before detonating with a blinding effect and flurry of snow. "time for those guys to chill-out." If cold joe was capable of facial expressions hed be grinning from his bad pun as he looked around *given how big this army is were gonna need all the help we can get.*

Glassman kept his attention trained on the army of creatures, watching for any sort of retaliation on their part. In fact, he was almost too focused on them perhaps - barely, noticing the newcomer until he heard 'Glassy'.
He whipped his head toward the source of the voice, unsure if this was...someone he knew? A long-forgotten acquaintance? The dark-skinned navi scratched at his low-cut, brown hair as he pondered for a second how the navi possibly knew him. But for now, if the navi was there to assist that was the more important matter.
"No request needed here. Looks like there's plenty to go around!" Glassman said, welcoming the red-eyed navi to the 'party'.
His tangerine-colored irises watched as the navi threw his own projectile into the army's numbers, delivering a well-placed pun too.
"They seem pretty 'chill' right now. It's if or when they start attacking that things might heat up." the white-gloved navi said aloud.
But something bothered him about an army of such a large number...along with not exactly knowing what any of these strange creatures were.
"...why are they all here though?"
