Only one came to Creamland's defense?
Hearing Joker mention the idea that someone was collecting titans, made his hair stand up on the back of his neck. The fact that there were others like Eon made him both excited, and nervous. But that was not good news. The fact that someone could collect a titan alone, was difficult to believe. But considering Eon...
Then there was Aeon and his creator. Another person with powers of the generational running around too, besides the one standing before him. Great. Granted, Warrior had managed to gain abilities related to time, so it wasn't that farfetched to believe.
He nodded towards Joker when discussing how he believed they others could be manipulated. The way that Rosso had been, it's possible that the sword he was after was also something related to a titan's powers? Unfortunately, the Black Knight had it last he knew, and that was some time ago.
In a way, he sympathized with Joker's plight. All he wanted was to survive, and there were many beings out there who didn't want him to, for one reason or another. From fear to misunderstanding,Merrill understood. This wasn't just a case of black and white anymore.
His anger began fading again. However, he facepalmed himself, and sighed.
"So, if I understand, you effectively are a computer database, at least, emotionally. So... Does that mean we are all just ones and zeros to you? At least, logically?"
Clearly Joker was lacking emotionally, which made it harder to justify blaming him completely. As ]Warrior had put it, he was in essence, a tool. Not by his own will however, but since Joker had little understanding of these feelings on his own.
"I will be understanding. Maybe interacting with us or others would help you learn. You have already started, and in time, maybe we won't just be numbers."
As he turned to face Warrior, he left Joker with one more piece of advice.
"Power comes from many places. While your satellite may have been the most precious thing to you, you might find that you have power that your satellite can't give."
With Joker's story fairly well told, it still complicated matters. They had to be cautious with every move now. At the same time, they had to start making plans and acting themselves, as clearly the other powerful entities at large were making moves.
It was a lot harder to judge on what moves to make though.
"So, If Element city is going to be a bloodbath, should we go there now, possibly ahead of what is being planned, or go somewhere else? From what you said before, it sounds like Gigamerica is the only place that hasn't fallen. Could that be the next target? You know more about that land than I do, Warrior.. Or should we go to a different area? If they really are collecting titan-level entities like Eon..."
He trailed off, turning to Lalonia
"A Titan is an entity that is considered to be at a pinnacle of power. They are considered to be the strongest entities on the net. And you make a very valid point. Could one be here? Or maybe a relic of one, like that sword I stupidly lost?"
"Whatever you all decide, we should probably get moving. We don't want to be idle in the remains of the aftermath here. it makes us look like targets."
Merrill admitted that he had a point.
"For once... I agree... Just, make safe decisions. I pray we don't run into that man again though for a while..."
Merrill understood her sentiment.
"... Hmph."
Merrill crossed his arms, waiting for others to make suggestions or add input of their own.

"What a mess."
*Suffice to say his landing point wasn't quite as clean as it was when he left it last. He had spawned at the island first, to note that rather than an island it was just an irradiated wasteland that had apparently been blasted by some intense force. His first thought was this was typical of Creamland. His second was about who decided to do it this time. He expected Jax to hang around here if he got lost on the instructions, but with it gone he had to scour the place faster and made his way for where that would be easier... until he saw that this place wasn't in any better shape for once. That led up to where he was now, landing down in a burst of darkness not that far from the ground zero and the others with his familiar silver form to some. He gave them a cursory glance at first, looking to the hole in the ground first. This at least looked like somewhat familiar handiwork, but he knew his guy had no business blowing the place up at the time. So he would have to ask a few questions about it first.*
"So who did the drive-by this time? It's still looking fancier than when pumpkin-head did it at least."

#s://i~imgur~com/dk4CQm0~png " Xion. "
A new arrival showed up before the scene was able to progress much further: the Silver Tyrant himself. While he and Warrior were never formally introduced, they did cross paths during the Autumnal Assault -- an incident whose closure never sat well with Warrior. Xion was appointed governor of the Dark Colony after Samhain... "won"... dominion over Creamland. A year later, a new governor came to challenge the seat, but Warrior didn't get too involved that time.
" It wasn't Samhain, you can be certain of that. What brings you to these parts? "
Dark Colony was missing, last Warrior was aware, courtesy of Vinyl and Eon. He also didn't connect the dot that this was the "black knight" that Merrill had mentioned earlier, as the title was ambiguous enough to describe anybody and Xion didn't necessarily default to black armor.
But if the New Forces were collecting Titans, as Joker had said, then there was no doubt Samhain would be somewhere on their list. No better person to reach him than through Xion, too. Now was seeing where the pieces fell exactly before putting them together: in an ideal situation, they could deny the New Forces access to Samhain while also getting the sweet taste of revenge in one fell swoop, but that would be determined by how much Xion already knew.

"Yeah, Autumn has had its last Fall when it comes to him. I made certain of that not too long ago."
*Samhain wasn't exactly the most pleasant of folks to recall, more for others than himself. He wasn't quite satisfied with how that ended either as it cut his own fights short multiple times while he was having at it. But this was a surprise: one of them knew him by his actual name for once. He looked to see who it was and... he had a bit of a recollection of him. He changed a bit from time to time, but this one was the one that was putting in the most work against Samhain back during that scramble those years back. Everyone thought he was a pushover since that knight guy walked over him real fast, but you never knew what someone was made of until the chips were on the table. He remembered him more from that one time way back in Electopia though, but he might have been mixing him up for a look-alike. He didn't seem the sort to take a sword to a bomb.*
"I was looking for Jax. Big guy, manipulates the earth, mute as can be. A real Kingdom for his Hearts kind of guy."
*He held out his hand as the shadows started to move, pooling to him to amass into a shape. 7'5, middle eastern tan, fine, unbound grey hair that stretched to shoulder length with eyes of golden brown. A build that was incredibly stocky but very muscular and in a cloak that he would label after a game series that no one here had any idea about.*

#s://i~imgur~com/dk4CQm0~png " Huh... "
Not the answer he was expecting, but one he could respect at least. If Samhain was put down, that aligned their interests more than Warrior initially predicted. Or at least it may have.
" ... "
Warrior nodded side-to-side at Xion's description of Jax, indicating he'd not seen that one. Joker had already confirmed that nobody challenged him prior to his eradication of Creamland, so they could at least be certain he wasn't caught up in that scene either.
" I may be able to help you search though, depending on where all needs checking. But first I'm curious now what your angle is on what's going on in the bigger scheme. "
It didn't necessarily give away that he was human, but there was a clear hint that he either wasn't a Navi or that he could just access places that most couldn't. In terms of grand scheme: if the New Forces were indeed after Samhain and Xion had already denied them of him, he may have been a step ahead of where Warrior and the gang here were at.
" Rosso, Var, Deav. Any of these names have any meaning to you? "

Post by Genesis on Aug 19, 2020 22:13:17 GMT -8
*Depending on where needed to be searched? Well he supposed it could mean that there were some places he just didn't want to visit. He knew a lot of people who stayed clear of the Undernet because they were always wary of things going south when you went down there to check it out. Well, the place he needed to go to next was...*
"The only other lead I have on where he is if he wasn't caught up in this fiasco would be Gigamerica. I don't feel like taking the long way there like Empty did though, so if you're coming with we'll be heading there in a flash."
*The long way would mean going all the way back through that cavern like Hollow did. That would be too much of a hassle if Jax got held up in Gigamerica, as it meant that either he was too slow to just go back the way he came. Possible, but unlikely. Someone might have closed it up instead. Other than that there was the possibility that just like he had, especially given the name that came up, that Jax had an encounter with the people he was trying to tell the lug to not have an encounter with.*
"Two of those just sound like a foreigner trying to speak the names in a foreign tongue instead of just saying it in their native one. I don't know a Var or a Deav personally, though they probably work under Rosso. Bumped into him four times now even: twice in Electopia and twice in Netopia."
*The chronological order of these meetings would actually be Electopia, Netopia, Electopia, and then Netopia again. He was doing his... well, that much didn't matter. All that mattered was that he was putting in the leg work and as a result he was the one who kept engaging the mad fire lad by another name. As for why he thought they worked with Rosso, that was related to his most recent discovery at a place he'd rather leave the name out of the pot about given the implications it possessed.*
"Can't say I know what their plans are at the moment aside from collecting some bothersome antiques. Haven't been able to put a dent in him these past fights, but you can confirm something for me too actually. Have you been having any difficulties with your vision lately?"

#s://i~imgur~com/dk4CQm0~png Warrior raised an eyebrow at the notion of a backdoor to Gigamerica existing. To say that it was troubling was an understatement, but to hitch a ride through it would provide very valuable information for his nation's cybersecurity going forward at least. That front was one of never ending battles, after all.
His understanding of Rosso wasn't much better than theirs, but his stance on the matter seemed clear enough by what he said. Truth be told, Xion was synonymous to Warrior in a way that he could very easily be considered neutral by the way he spoke, but opposite him in the sense that his independent decision making was certainly a step or ten ahead of Jake's.
He nodded his head at the question concerning his vision.
" Only correlation seems to be in the vicinity of Reaverbots, but frankly that's more of a shot in the dark at the moment. "
It certainly wasn't location based, as it had happened in both Sharo and here in Creamland rather than just in one or the other. If he were omniscient though, he would have known that Faith never experienced this dilemma during her contact with Deav, much less Vanguard with Vamin. His limited scope deprived him of that awareness, however.
Warrior pointed his eyes to Merrill to direct Xion's attention before looking back to him as he continued.
" Collecting antiques checks out with what he's seen. Apparently they were after a sword of some sort, but another person made off with it instead. "
He made the same gesture toward Joker next, distilling their combined information in a small digestible chunk for the new guest.
" Depending on your definition of antiques, my new friend's informed me they've got more than a few of the big and powerful ones in their goody-bags by now. The type that make me feel much better knowing Samhain is off the table, lest he end up in the bag as well -- among other, probably more evident reasons. "
The salt in his voice would have been hard to miss.
" Gigamerica is my point of origin. There wasn't any activity there before I left, but with the eastern continents done with, I'm certainly concerned that it'd be next on their agenda, so thinking about it now, I've got more reasons than not to come along. "
Merrill had made the same speculation just moments prior, and it was more sound than any other alternative they had. Without Xion, it would have taken probably a full day to cross the continents by using Jacob Rayner's method, but the backdoor would prove beneficial despite it being a sort of violation to security protocols.
Warrior addressed Merrill, Joker, and Lalonia now -- unintentionally hogging Xion's attention and only just now noticing that he had done so.
" Floor's open to you guys; I still think it's best that we stick together, but let your own discretion lead you from here. I've got a feeling that we're still a few losses away from a win, pessimistic as it sounds, but we don't choose where we start. "

As Xion and Warrior began talking, he remained silent at first. While Xion looked different, he recognized his voice, as Death did too. And that required his attention first...
"Let me out. I want to talk with him."
"No. I do not want to deal with the added mess of having you appear right now."
"But the difference is, I'm more on friendly terms. He likes me better."
"And your point is? That poses more questions that take time away from the task at hand. Besides, I have no doubt that you'll get a chance to talk with him. So long as you don't pick a fight over the sword."
"Don't plan on it anyway. We both know your body is too weak to handle the power needed to combat him. Especially as is. And since I can't use my full potential without screwing us all --"
"Boys, please stop fighting. It isn't going to get us anywhere. If at all, compromise and work together. We all know we are capable of it."
Both of them sighed internally at the same time. Life giggled, earning a frown from the both of them.
However, Merrill complied, allowing his eyes to change with the hues to appear around his irises.
As Xion and Warrior finished and Warrior addressing the group, he stepped forward.
"He's the one who I was with in Netopia. He was the one who ended up with the sword."
He looked over Xion, a slight bow coming out. His eye with the crimson hue almost glowing.
"The fact that Rosso has been roaming around collecting these antiques as well... I take it those can turn the tides of whatever battles are being planned."
Turning back to Warrior, he nodded.
"I agree. I believe sticking together is the best play right now. I also think that maybe Gigamerica is the place to be, since it's the only one that hasn't been attacked that we know of on such a grand scale yet."

*He gave a nod to Warrior's confirmation on the vision. That was good enough for him to be able to draw the line that it was connected. It would be difficult to have a legitimate answer to the problem as it stood, but for now he could at least say that he knew what bag that had ended up landing in now.*
"It doesn't need to be frequent: just that it happened is good enough evidence for me. No reason to utilize it constantly after all, just enough times to keep folks unaware. That one's an antique more bothersome than bird-is-the-word, that annoying little rock man."
*He hadn't exactly played along with that ridiculous contest over paradise back then, but he had seen the message as well. And he didn't have a lot of experience in dealing with it either, he just happened to draw the right straw to save himself from a lot of potential headaches. He looked over at Merrill to hear about the sword fiasco again, not even trying to prevent the chuckle he let out after. Oh, there was a fight over a sword alright, wasn't there? He must have described him a bit wrong to Warrior here for why he didn't recognize that he was the one who made off with the sword when all was said and done on that subject. The next one was Joker, who upon notice they would see the orbs that shone as Xion's eyes narrow slightly, as if a scowl had come upon his face if one could see it.*
"I'd love to let you rematch the loincloth, but you'll sadly have to settle for another owner of annoying fingers on the way. Speaking of fingers, Goliath, your sticky fingers came back to bite you, huh? What sort of David did your little insecurities unleash?"
*He imagined that the difference in his demeanor compared to the last time he met the Crimson Titan was enough to let him put together the puzzling circumstances there. He had a fair number of things to say to him about several things that mattered to him at least more than it really did to everyone else here, but that was how things were. It would line up well enough with that one annoying liar for them to be after bigger fish like Samhain and the like, which they wouldn't have had any issues in securing. The biggest weakness the bigger fish had was a pretty glaring one in his opinion and has been properly used likely, but he didn't know if the one Joker likely handed out was an antique or a fresh new batch of unknown problems. He looked to Merrill and then to Joker to show who he was about to refer to here.*
"To clarify for the Pixie's tale, Turbine's sword should be with this big guy. Unless of course someone walked up to him, asked for it nicely, and let another person toss out insults as they pleased at the time in the three-way."

The two of them that Joker could now tell with certainty were closer to his own level of power were very quick to inform him exactly what they felt of his own honesty, a trait he, too, could respect. The insights into his new attempts at handling his thoughts, even his attempt at emotion, were helpful, if not a little redundant.
He knew he was built differently from them. He knew he was capable of much without his satellite in the sky, but knew he was capable of far more while it hung in the air. He also knew that attempting to rebuild the satellite, to return to him his purpose, would require a satellite of the exact same specifications; not to mention the man's note of their assailants rising up to stop him, again.
No; he knew all of that. The issue was what to do with it, now, and how to move forward. His search for a new way would be taxing, but, he didn't believe they were entirely wrong: Even now he realized more of his power, as the nuclear generator at his core continued to sustain his power despite having lost its previous sources.
An amazing power. A power unknown. Was this the might of the Joker program? Was this his own hand to deal back at them, to wield this power and try to find a way through?
He took time considering their answers, and the questions that followed, from both them and his own thoughts. When the black knight from earlier appeared, Joker was caught off guard, though.
The power he emitted was all wrong. The previous entity was powerful, no doubt, but radiated a sense of passivity and wielded a different kind of power. The previous power was like a font that sprung forth from nothingness, a cascading rise in power that knew no master but him.
This power was something on a whole other level. What had happened in such a short timespan that his power had eclipsed so much? Not to mention the complete change in personality; he seemed more confident, wittier, and much less . . . well, bland.
It would seem that the two gathered knew of him, and knew him by name; a pleasure Joker did not get during their last meeting. Something told him that the circumstances from before would not stand true again. Had he felt so off by his defeat at his hands that he raced to collect power, just as Joker had?
If that was the case, only had one question to ask What was he capable of that Joker wasn't? It was these moments, staring at Xion, as Xion narrowed his eyes at him and directed his questions, that Joker remembered he did understand at least one emotion.
Rage. Fury. The kind of ferocity that enabled him the strength to attack the Reality Monger out of spite and passion, to simply prove that he could. The kind of burning resolve that melted away all other desires and set within their place a focus that enabled controlled savagery. It was that willingness to break out, that desire to prove his worth, that need to destroy what was in his way, that enabled him to escape the Animus, to stand against Aeon, to destroy Element City and Creamland . . .
. . . he felt that boiling up here, now. But, the logical answer was quite obvious, and his systems, much as the elemental swordsman had stated, put that together quickly, as well.
This power and change in persona, alongside Xion's words on the matter, lead to the logical conclusion that this Xion and the last Xion were two entirely different beings. How, then, did he still know of their transactions? There must've been another line connecting the two, somehow. The other had been a diversion.
It didn't stop his rage from building, but it did stop him from showing it. His seemingly permanent scowl did not shift as he became the center of the conversation again.
"I had a portion of the Eternal Endgame within my core when I collected the sword. A short time after, I absorbed another Navi's essence so that he could turn it into a mind for his programming to execute. With two-thirds of his original form collected, he used the sword to solidify his form and returned himself into being as Parallax." He answered the question from Xion, but then turned his attention back to Merrill and Warrior. "That was what he did to collect the opposing force's attention, and turned all of Electopia into a bloodbath."
Joker paused, here, considering his next words carefully. It was true that Electopia was a bloodbath, but, there were a few things he wished to reclaim from what started that bloodbath. If nothing else, those things still gave him purpose - a tarnished and stained pride that he had to rebuild. From what he remembered of his last conversation with Aeon, he could potentially benefit from a visit to Gigamerica. If heading there to see what problems arose from their fighting instead of going to Element City would eventually lead him back to Parallax, he surely had a score to settle, and a point to prove.
"They are collecting Titans. They ordered me to destroy Creamland as they were searching for something - I assume they were looking for Networks where a being of incredible power could be housed within, but, they got the Crimson Dragon out of my satellite instead.
"Tearing apart Networks could potentially awaken some beast . . . something I think by the name of Alzate. Parallax used an OEL Code and some red W sign to activate it, and it felt like a being of incredible size and power; as if the whole of Electopia was alive. They may have been searching for it in other Networks that they were destroying, and ended up finding it through Parallax in Electopia, which is what started all of this."
He paused at his own words, remembering that suddenly - Aeon needed the OEL as well. Why was an OEL Code used to activate the Electopian Titan? A being the size of a network . . . he had an interesting way to handle the OEL before, but, that potential tree has yet to bear fruits, and he could not wait around expecting it to.
No, he needed to be precise now. If Aeon's power still resided in him through the Seal of the Generational, perhaps he still had the power that it took to command those files and absorb them before Aeon could be released from the meeting with his maker. The team seemed bent on traveling to Gigamerica, and he needed something from there. Logically, traveling as a group and potentially seeing where this trail went alongside collecting that energy was the most beneficial plan.
"Going to Gigamerica seems highly beneficial to me, as well, and traveling as a group is optimal. For now, our goals and destinations align, even if for different reasons and understandings. I will join you, if you will accept me."

*It was pretty clear that one of his eyes were lifted quizzically at the mention of the moniker. Eternal Endgame? ...Who was that again? Two-thirds of himself? Relating to the sword of that overgrown Generator... oh. He might have heard about that guy now that he thought about it. The only ones who would know about the rest of the intricacies of that sword would be the ones who lived around it, of which he met a net number of zero of them. He knew of them by hearsay, and since two of those other goons were gone, it must have meant their boss in Eon. Who he also had no direct clues about as he was taking care of other important business during his time in the spotlight. The last time he was around he made Electopia the battlefield too so the man didn't even take history lessons... honestly, they really were too predictable, weren't they? While he was largely in the dark about it, the lines at least were pretty darn bright for him to spot them still.*
"Most losers don't try again, but he probably just thought he needed to pull the trigger faster this time to win. At least he knew that when you fall you can always stand up again, but still... what a simple-minded fool. At least Turbine's off the table now."
*He would give him credit for not being a quitter, but that was that. The minuses tagged on to that credit didn't outweigh the credit that was being given. It didn't change the look he was giving Joker however, so whatever had him irked with Joker might not have been related to the fact that Polaris had changed hands three too many times at this point. From his end he didn't plan to pursue the sword anyway once it left his hands, as he passed the responsibility over to keep the person he gave it to preoccupied and out of the limelight. They all had a rather mutually destination to go to next at least, so that was decided. First thing's first though as he set aside his personal qualms for now, addressing a concern likely.*
"To rectify a misunderstanding, I doubt they asked you to tear apart Creamland to pick up a Titan. The one that was sleeping here, possibly even the same one given what you said, got uprooted thanks to Samhain a long while ago. Better to bet money on it being to get that Crimson Dragon you mentioned instead. The OEL and our only friends who fancy the letter W being connected is something that is good for the others here to keep in mind."
*After all, most would just assume the two were mutually exclusive of each other. It would let them know where to start their grapevine for the event of him not being around to do it for them. As is stood he wasn't in their way because one of his own had mentioned they should veer away from it, so he did as he was asked until further notice. That meant it would be up to the others to bark up that tree when the inevitable future arrived that they had to. Likewise that strange Titan had emerged as a result of the foundation used being Creamland last time for the Dark Colony, meaning it was sitting underneath it at the time. It must have just grown bigger due to how long it had been since it was resting here before it was moved to another secure location. That didn't deny that they were looking for it elsewhere, just that they knew it wouldn't be here at least. After all, the Knight had been there to witness its departure. He took a few moments to send a message out to someone else, another knight who was likened to an executioner who at the very least would want to witness some things. Showing was better than telling with that guy.*
"But before we head to the next stop, we have to take a detour. As I said, there's another guy with a lot of fingers who I need to take care. Unless no one here cares if Nebula Grey does whatever it wants for a while."
*He held out his hand in a scene that Jax would say ripped him off as a swirling black hole opened up in front of him, walking through it without missing a beat. It didn't close behind him, leaving it up to the others on whether or not they would entertain what he was about to take care of.*

Joker looked back at Merrill and Warrior as Xion made a few corrections, figuring that they hadn't found the titan they were looking for but did get the Crimson Dragon out of his endeavors in Creamland. As for the connection of the letter W with the OEL, this would be another thing that Joker did not have enough information on due to his lack of time in this world, and it would not serve him to try accessing it - his satellite was not present to give him the information as it had once before.
That said, it seemed that Xion was preoccupied with another being Joker did not recognize. Uncertain, he looked to Merrill and Warrior. Were they content with allowing Xion to handle this fight alone, or were they to go and assist in defeating it?
Joker knew which answer he preferred, but, he had just agreed to travel as a group. If Xion was able to bypass the long way to Gigamerica and just get straight there, then he would be the best bet to travel there. Logically speaking, the correct answer was to follow him.
With everyone content on following after Xion, Joker followed behind, not one to be left out of a proper brawl. The eagerness of the little one, and the camaraderie of the two he had first met upon arriving, were unknown to him - the only thing he could be eager for was the opportunity to once again test his strength, and to see just how much of it had left him. Having direction again was also helpful - purpose would have to come after.

"Well.."
After all the information was shared, Lalonia held a fist to her chest with determination.
"I don't like the sound of any of this.. to be honest I am quite lost listening to this all and I'm still new to this net. But, I want to help in anyway I can, I want as peaceful as a resolution as possible. Xi-- uh Xion, if I may call you by name, I imagine that Nebula Gray must be a difficult adversary. If the others want to head to Giga..Gigamerica first then I will join alongside you to help out. That way we can all make sure to meet back up in Gigamerica-- AH wait!! That's dangerous!!"
To ensure he'd be okay, Lalonia hurried through as well.
"If you guys decide not to come, I'll see you at Gigamerica!"
With that, she was through.

Well, another person to add to their band of merry misfits. Taking the dig from Xion, Merrill rolled his eyes slightly. Why did everyone call him Pixie or fairy boy or some form of that?
But learning the truth about that sword, that it had been Turbine's, he felt a pang of guilt. That he had forgotten the blade and name of someone he admired, who had saved his life during the Eternal Endgame more than once. He had been honored to hold that blade in his hand, but sad to have done so little to honor or defend it.
He didn't rebut Xion's remark though. He didn't really need to fill in the gap of his own butt getting handed to him so quickly, with Death taking over and aiding Xion. But with confirmation that collecting Titans was everyone's main focus, best to get started now. Better late than never. Since Xion kept his word back then, he admitted he owed him some help at the very least, although it was likely his help would only be so useful.
Turning towards Joker, he nodded. With Joker's confirmation of everyone going after titans, as well as his understanding/agreement with going to Gigamerica, it made since for him to join them.
"Let's follow. You have been accepted to this group, Joker..."
With Xion mentioning Nebula Grey, a name he had heard of before, but knew little about. But it sounded like one of these titans up for grabs. So, he was curious to see this one.
He turned listened to Lalonia, a small smile appearing on his face at her determination, dispute her fears. As she hurried through, Merrill took a step forward, next to Warrior. He placed his hand on his shoulder.
"... Working together again... Honestly, I'm glad..."
He was quiet for a moment.
"Let's both not screw up this time."
He walked forward through the dark portal, following Xion and Lalonia.

There was a lot to take in, but nobody left to discuss it with. The notion to combat Nebula Grey sounded good on the front of eliminating its threat from the equation (both as a potential adversary, and as a potential asset of the New Forces). Jake had heard stories of its relationship to Soul Net, though -- something that could infect the minds of humans and navis alike (but particularly humans) when not protected by MagnoMetal. Faith offered to give him a piece she had found some time ago, but he declined it; a decision he was worried he would regret.
Fortunately, he had also fought Nebula Grey once in the past and there was no presence of Soul Net at the time. Ideally, this would go the same way, then.
Moving forward, he entered the portal next. Pieces of the puzzle were rapidly revealing themselves now, it was simply a matter of putting them together at this point.
