::Grizzly Resort::
Owned by the Glendale Family, the Frozen North's Grizzly Resort is a massive first-class feature provided to those with the means to afford it. Set up next to the famous Frozen Mountain, the yellow Grizzly Resort is outfitted with an international food court on its roof, which has a series of snow-ramps carved down its side to allow less adventurous tourists to ski down the side of the hotel, rather than take the gondola up to the top of the mountain. Crystal clear glass windows peak out behind the snow covering the roof, and evergreen trees are planted around the front of the hotel and the side of the mountains to attract tourists looking for a little bit of greenery within the otherwise wintry attractions. The hotel grounds also have water fountains despite the snow, a red carpet experience between the water fountains available to perspective guests. The inside of the hotel is a massive three-story affair, with the lower level dominated by the lobby, check-in center, and an indoor restaurant. The second floor has plenty of suite-style rooms but also houses the hotel's custodial storerooms, employee lodging, and basic services such as laundry or kitchen appliances. The third floor has the most rooms available for general, day-to-day guests, and also houses the suite that the owners of the Grizzly Resort use to call their home. A large waterfall runs from the top of the third floor down to the basin on the first floor, the blue interior of the hotel highlighted by yellow lines and green plantings, with lavish elevators placed at strategic intervals to make traveling between the floors - and the roof above - as easy as possible.
At the top of the frozen mountain for which the Grizzly Peaks is famous is a large weather generator, which keeps the wintry seasons running at all times.

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/295395168230703105/732255591359184916/Solo~png Solo took his step off of the liner that transported him and Feint to the Grizzly Peaks Resort, looking around at the slight differences to the area without the wave technology. Real trees replaced real wave trees, Net-based technology kept the water for the fountain warm enough despite the snow, and, perhaps the easiest to notice, the little yeti-shaped footprints in the ground looked comedically small in comparison to the Yeti he knew to stomp around this area during his time.
That meant nothing had disturbed its slumber, yet, and that the Murian Soldier would still be adhering to its old vigil. He turned to look back at Feint, wondering how the cold was faring on her, and also wondering how they were going to get up to the mountainside. Were it his world, they could just Wave Change, bypass the hotel altogether, and go for what they needed. Now, it seemed, he would have to get creative, with a completely human answer.
"The artifact we're looking for is embedded within its tomb in that mountain," Solo explained, pointing past the resort to the large, snow-covered mountain that the gondolas led up, for aspiring skiers to then ski down. "I'm going to be blunt in saying that I'm entirely unsure how all of this is going to work. I know what the ruins look like and how they responded from my world, but, my world also had a much more advanced EM Technology base than yours does.
"The inside of the ruins are Murian holy grounds, which means that they should be suffused with enough EM Energy for me to Wave Change once inside, but that will be the extent of my wave form. Given murian tech, there is no telling how it may interact with the Cyberworld surrounding it."
He made his understanding of the situation very plain to her, careful to speak lowly due to the number of individuals around them, but also speaking carefully as he paced his way through the snow and up to the red carpet of the front entrance.

#s://i~imgur~com/U4Xclbh~png Cherish had a bit of an affinity for mountains, but cold weather wasn't her preferred environment. The jacket did its job good enough for now, her suit having its own warmth features, but neither were necessarily designed for more intense weather conditions if they were to worsen.
She listened to Solo's explanation, scanning the location as he described the situation.
" Well, I've got my 'spandex' and my gun; they haven't failed me yet. Up the lift from the top of the hotel is our way there, I guess. We can figure out the rest once we put eyes on it -- anything between now and then is just speculation anyway, by the sounds. "
She followed him forward to make their way up, provided with little other options for now.

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/295395168230703105/732255591359184916/Solo~png Solo made his way into the front door, into a building that looked very familiar from his own world. The large hotel entry foyer had the check-in desk that he recognized, which he slowly walked towards, tailing Feint behind him.
After a quick conversation with the woman behind the reception desk - who seemed to be having a very difficult time maintaining a happy visage while conversing with Solo - he pulled up his arm and poked at a device at his wrist, swiping up on a screen to send up what, if Feint had looked over his shoulder to see, was an absolutely ludicrous amount of zenny. The woman looked between the teenage boy and Feint, obviously wondering if Feint therefore had even more money than he did.
The two got a set of visitors passes and were even loaned a set of skiing gear for their time there, given to them in the form of a compact red box with the hotel family's crest on the front. Solo passed on Feint her box, before heading up to the elevator to get them to the roof of the hotel that they had seen from the outside.
"A lot of this trip was speculation, but, I am more and more pleased to find that not too much is different. Even my technology is still compatible with yours." It was all he had to say on the matter of their brief trip into the hotel, before the elevator opened up and dispensed them out on the snowy rooftop. On one side, the awning that showed them where they had just arrived. On the other, the entrance to the international food court, with the lifts that would take them to the top of the mountain.
"I will warn you that the artifact is protected," he said simply, tredging up the snow-cleared path towards the food court. If she had been here for any other reason, getting an all-expense-paid trip to the expensive Grizzly Peaks Resort may have been much more enjoyable. In their case, however, it was clear she would have little time for sight seeing. "The Murian Soldier will guard the ruins, as has been its charge. I will have to defeat it to get to my goal. Ensure you just don't get in the way."

#s://i~imgur~com/U4Xclbh~png Cherish followed him through the building, not really bothering to shoulder-surf during his transaction with the receptionist. The food court was certainly a temptation, given how long it'd been since her last meal, but she never let hunger side track her before so it was easy to deny the distraction for the sake of consistency if nothing else.
" You said earlier you could handle yourself, so I'll leave you to it. Don't expect any favors if you lose your grip on the situation, but if it swings at me, I can take a hit or two. "
The artifact didn't mean anything to her. She was no coward either though: if it picked a fight, she'd return the challenge, but Solo could at least be certain that it'd take her some time to ever actually swing back at it, if their own little duel was anything to go by.
" I assume we'll be able to tell that we're close when your Wave Form starts working, then? "

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/295395168230703105/732255591359184916/Solo~png Solo responded to her question simply by nodding. "I plan on ending the encounter quickly, however, so as to attract as little attention as possible. The Murian Soldier will have an impact on the environment of the mountain, and I don't feel like dealing with that for very long."
He trudged onward, past the food court, and up onto the first lift that would take them up the mountain side. It seemed that there were a series of four lifts total, due to the steepness of the mountain, and Solo pointedly chose the set that was geared to take them straight to the top. Feint would notice, as Solo got into the lift, he didn't take any special efforts to put on the seat belt that was provided, and instead waited until they were just about to crest over the final edge of the mountain -
- and climbed up over the bar holding them in place, jumping out of the lift, and plummeting towards the mountain side below.
"Hmph!" Sure enough, as he landed on the side of the mountain, he felt the familiar surge, as he grasped out at a nearby rock to catch his balance, making a careful landing as he rolled against the snow a bit to soften his fall. Whatever this kid was, he certainly wasn't an amateur, his physical strength nothing to gawk at as he pulled himself across the edge of the mountain he lept onto from thirty feet up. He didn't look back to see if Feint was following him, nor did he much care, as he prodded his hand into the snow until he felt a portion of the mountain that wasn't entirely solid beneath his touch.
The only signs he left of his ever being there was a vaguely human-shaped hole in the snow as he fell into it, purposefully. Within a few seconds, the extreme snow fall covered that hole up, making the mountain looking as though no human from another timeline had just forced their way into it.

The dastardly kind, he was, to just jump from the lift like that with no protective gear or anything. He stuck the landing and all (well, for the most part), but Cherish simpy remained in the lift as she watched it unfold.
' Have fun on your own, kid. '
She mumbled to herself just then, making it certain enough to nobody in particular that she was staying with the ship this time. She gave a deep sigh as she saw him descend into the snow though, knowing she'd better hop out and follow him as well.
' If a friend jumps off a bridge, guess this means I'd be doing it too, so take that for your old metaphor, dad. '
Not exactly a synomous circumstance here, but close enough. She made her leap of faith a bit after the fact, so the fall was a bit further, but she'd handled enough daredevil-stunts in the Cyber World that this shouldn't have fazed her (even if the gravity in the Real World was a bit different, much less the stakes). It went along without too much trouble at least, though her landing wasn't a graceful one. She caught her bearing was what counted, then maneuvered her way into the same snow-covered opening Solo had went inside just moments prior.

"BRRRRRRRRGH!"
Feint had barely entered after Solo before it was evident that Solo had only just caught his bearings while inside, and Solo had quickly got up and darted to one side as a massive snow ball was tossed through the air at him by what Feint could only describe as a massive yeti - the abominable snowman, a living myth right before her eyes.
A surge of energy surrounded Solo as he caught his bearings in the room, his human body surrounded by the ambient energy in the air as, right before Feint's eyes, he took on his Wave Form once again.
The Murian Soldier let out another massive bellow as it jumped away from Burai's show of force, an incredible weight smashing onto the ground of the mountain causing the entire area to quake. As if with a mind of its own, ambient energy in the air rapidly froze and took form, as massive snow balls appeared in the air and dropped down, one directly above Burai's head and the other right above Feint's.
Burai was as fast on his feet as ever, and, for once, seemed in his element, easily side-stepping the massive snow ball and igniting his verniers to come down upon the Murian Soldier. "Why is it awake?" he said aloud, knowing Feint wouldn't be able to answer him, as he looked past her towards the back of the temple -
- and it was at this time that Feint may have had the chance to get her bearings, as well.
The floor below them was chiseled out of a beautiful slab of grey stone, every corner and circle carved out with incredible precision. Massive grey pillars, smooth and without blemish, rose from the ground alongside the indented pathway carved from the front of the temple to the back. Stone carvings of strange looking soldiers laid on the ground, as if awaiting orders, and large, tiki-like faces fashioned from bronze had fires burning over their heads to provide lighting to the area. Over almost every surface that was large enough for it, a massive depiction of the same symbol on Burai's chest was carved, and almost every other surface had some sort of symbolic language etched into it, very much alike the symbols that surrounded Burai's unique defense.
Some of the pillars that Feint saw had strange lights emitting from them, and every now and again a massive fire flew out of those lights and bounced around the room, to another pillar, and completed a circuit around the pillars before returning to its starting place. While it was a straight room, with a single staircase separating the ground floor to the temple's altar above, the massive structure - some of which had collapsed away, with broken doorways and caved in stairwells - made it clear that this was once a gigantic temple with much more than just an entry way and the artifact on display in the back.
Right now, however, they had little time to take in the beauty of the futuristic temple in ruins, although it was clear that whatever Burai wanted was still present. The temple's protector, the massive yeti, held up its hand as the ambient energy floating around in the air - so dense even Feint could see it, like lines of data from the cyberworld, but pure energy, in every color imaginable, radiating off of every surface - swirling around its palm and created yet another massive snow ball, which it chucked right at her.
Burai was left looking around the room as he dodged his own set of snowballs, far more curious about why the protector was active despite the artifact obviously still resting; it shouldn't be awake if the artifact was untouched, and, yet, here they were. As he looked around, he saw some interesting ghost waves lingering in the air, as though some other wave being had been here - but that didn't make any sense. He couldn't think of any wave being that would be here alongside him, the time was all off, but, sure enough, the signs of a wave battle littered the room - Yeti Blizzard looked wounded and spiteful, some of the pillars had obvious signs of energy blasts fired haphazardly, the ground was scratched up as though by some missed sword strikes, and the air was charged with someone else's wave data.
He didn't have the time to look into it too closely; right now, he had to worry about Yeti Blizzard, and he did not look very pleased at all.
As Yeti Blizzard continued to throw about snow balls, Burai skirted around them, the ball smashing uselessly against the unique barrier that Burai possessed, and his speed sufficient to get him out of the way of the rampant flurry that the crushed snowball whipped up as he got out of the way. Rolling past Yeti Blizzard's feet, Burai held out his hand, just as he had when he first appeared before Feint, and an absolutely crushing pressure dropped into the temple's wave space as his sword, the legendary laplace blade, appeared in his hand. The curved, strange blade emanated an intense energy as Burai held it, a myriad of power flashing through it as what looked like leaping flames began curling around its edge.
Meanwhile, as soon as Feint entered the ruins, she felt a certain potential in the air - as uncertain and as superstitious she may be, this temple was obviously a place where fantasy and science met some sort of happy marriage, as a full on battle much like what she could have seen in the Net was unfolding before her very eyes, these two individuals able to interact with the real world around them. For herself, she felt that the boundaries between the Cyberworld and the real world were some how thinner, here, and the ambient energy in the air seemed to curl around her and lick at her body, as if hinting that, if she just knew how to will it into being, she, too, could join the fray.

[Isolation Zone] A broken history paved his road to conquest, and all that stand against him must fight in the depths of his isolation. - Burai has no allies. Burai does not benefit from any effect reliant on allies. Burai cannot be intercepted for.
[Combat Arts] A skillful and capable combatant, Burai performs fluid movements that allow him to strategically chain attacks together in a way that leaves his enemies confounded. - Burai only ever requires a 1-Turn Charge for any Avoid Separately Attack, and he decides how many hits the attack has on use. Each hit of Avoid Separately strikes at full damage, but must be made as a part of a separate attack slot. - Being struck by any hit of an attack with avoid separately makes any hit that the opponent could not reduce to 0 Damage impossible to avoid. - If all hits of an attack chain in a turn successfully deal damage, Burai applies 1 immediate charge to that attack chain.
[Wave Ride Boosters] Burai’s boots are equipped with a set of verniers that can shoot bursts of EM Energy, allowing him to move freely in all directions. These boosters take advantage of his already advanced senses and capabilities, enabling a wide variety of high-impact attacks and agile maneuvers, making his movements and attacks near impossible to respond to. - Burai evades attacks in any order. Burai is unaffected by effects that require him to avoid multiple times. Burai does not trigger any opposing effects that would trigger from him avoiding his opponent’s attack. - Burai does not trigger any opposing effects that would trigger from an opponent avoiding his attacks. An opponent may not augment their avoids to respond to his attacks. - Burai may spend an additional attack slot alongside any attack to double its damage on use. - Burai may spend an additional attack slot alongside any attack to increase its total number of required avoidances by 1. Has no effect on Avoid Separately.
[Frequency Shift] Accustomed to his wave form, Burai is capable of modulating his frequency in order to become intangible, even to other beings like him. Using this control, he can move through attacks, defenses, and even modulate his frequency to escape restraints or move through physical barriers. - Burai may sacrifice one attack slot to Triune Avoid one attack aimed against him. - Burai is immune to any effect that would reduce his damage, attack slots, or impact his ability to avoid. Burai is immune to panel effects. ?
[Wave Predictor] His visor detects ambient energy flowing from his enemies and displays information about EM Energy present in his surroundings. By tracking the flow of energy, this allows him to predict an opponent’s movement. In this world, he must first flood some of his own energy into an opponent to force them to emit EM energy as they move. - ? - When avoiding the same attack in a turn, each sacrificed Attack Slot allows him to evade one additional instance of that attack.
[Mu Rejection Barrier] Even without his Isolation Darkness in full effect, Burai has an invisible EM Wave Barrier that blocks attacks that would otherwise injure him. Seemingly with a mind of its own, this transparent, circular disc appears before him as his ultimate defense mechanism. While his defense mechanism is up, aiming attacks directly at him seems to jam and disrupt a navi’s targeting systems, making attacks fly off without hitting their mark. - The Mu Rejection Barrier negates one full attack made against him each turn. - This number increases per attack slot sacrificed to use an attack with avoid separately across multiple slots, and per attack slot not used to attack at all. Each attack slot used to release a unique attack decreases this number for the next turn. - If Burai has any negates left with this barrier during a turn, he automatically ignores any C-Range Attack, as well as any attack with ?, without losing negates from the barrier.
[Burai has 0 Armor]
[Blizzard Ball] - Negated via [Mu Rejection Barrier]. Burai avoids Freeze by sacrificing an Attack Slot. [Blizzard Ball] - Negated via [Mu Rejection Barrier]. Burai avoids Freeze by sacrificing an Attack Slot. Also avoids the 3rd Blizzard Ball. [Blizzard Ball] - Avoids freeze effect by sacrificing an Attack Slot.
[1 Preemptive Charge - Applied to Murian Combat]
[3 AS Sacrificed - ? remaining]
[Laplace] Burai summons forth his most powerful weapon, and his only accepted ally: Laplace, a sentient blade, and an ancient artifact of the Murian people. The Laplace Blade has the ability to absorb the energy of the EM Beings created by Mu, as well as many other murian artifacts, making Laplace his most powerful tool. - Burai gains access to his attacks that specify Laplace’s use. Grants the skills Blade Fury, Wave Arc, and Divine Edge. Burai gains the Divine Blade Element.
[Divine Edge] The Laplace Blade has absorbed the power of the Murian Divinities, as shown by the glowing motes of energy along its blade. At a moment’s notice, Burai can change the affinity the Laplace Blade is attuned to, allowing him access to new abilities and the divine elements. - After responding to all attacks aimed against him in a turn, Burai can sacrifice all remaining attack slots to change the Divine Element Laplace is attuned to.

It was a bit much to take in at first, but there was plenty going on to distract her from the scenery anyway. Her suit normally had its own properties in the real world, but she could detect its Cyber World properties coming online just by being in vicinity of these ruins. This had interesting implications behind it, but none the she had time to explore as the barrage of snowballs came at her.
First from above, then two head on.
~*Splat-Splat-Splat!*~
" ... "
Admittedly, they had much more density than she predicted, but she was sturdy enough to still resist being blown away or crushed by them, at least when she properly poised herself beforehand. Using her arms to cover her head from the one from above, then her face from the two head on did the job. Some of the residual snow got stuck in her hair and weighed it down, causing her bangs to cover her eyes for a moment rather than remaining brushed to the side as they normally were. A gentle sweep to the side took care of that for now, but she missed her opportunity to fight back.
As before, when she fought Burai, she noticed that her suit did a rather poor job of absorbing any energy from these "Wave" attacks, which was most unfortunate. Speaking of Burai, turns out he had a whole extra weapon that she didn't get to see before. So he was holding back after all. As for the Yeti: she felt a little less affinity for mountains now, simply put. Burai did say there would be a guardian, but judging by his words just a moment ago, it shouldn't have been posing a problem for them in the moment.

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/340189121500938240/733116292160290876/150~png Burai watched as the snowballs pelted against Feint's suit, but immediately noticed that her capabilities from within the Cyberworld seemed accessible here. That further confirmed his theory that humans utilizing whatever technology she is using would fair very similarly in the Wave World as most wave warriors do. He decided for himself that the Yeti's strength was something he did not care to deal with head on, nor something he cared to deal with at all.
Yeti Blizzard roared to assert its place in its dominion, crouching down on its powerful legs to suddenly leap into the air, aiming one of its gigantic feet directly for Feint.
As his foot smashed down, the mountain quaked again, releasing yet another flurry of snowballs that fell from the air. Burai's unique shield rose against what was sent at him, and he activated his verniers yet again to get out of the way of the snow storm that came from it smashing apart. Meanwhile, the Yeti jumped away from Feint, reaching out with both hands as it created another set of snow balls to pelt; the Yeti stayed in the air long enough to pelt three more snow balls directly at the pair.
At the end of his jump, Yeti Blizzard raised up both hands and brought them crashing down onto the ground, releasing a massive shockwave of snow from the impact, and another fury of snowballs came crashing down alongside the impact.
Burai once again allowed his defensive measure to raise against the Yeti's attacks, his speed being continuously taxed as he avoided the flurries that came raining down from each strike, but, his speed maintaining all the same. As he dodged around, he allowed Laplace to take flight from his hand, the sentient blade whirling around the battlefield to slash at the Yeti as Burai dashed about. All the while, the flames licking around the edge of the Laplace sword raised in strength,
Raising the blade, Burai swung the sword around him, creating an intense flame around his body, an oppressive heat that immediately caused some of the snow in the air to melt. "I know this beast; formidable it may be, it will still melt before my blood's pride."
The intense heat that followed was nigh unbearable, as though a solar flare were unleashed at point-blank for Burai's body. As his energy peaked and he prepared the rest of his assault against the massive yeti. "It is just going to take me a moment; I'm still adapting to the new power stored within the Laplace blade."

As the first snowball fell, Feint raised a single hand to catch it, abruptly stopping its decent. Despite its enormous size, she crushed it between her fingers as her blue eyes locked with the Yeti's that was leaping toward her; the swirling residual data around her body being the last in a series of signifiers that this was precisely what she wanted.
She pivotted just slightly to evade the stomp, then dealt with the rest of the snowballs the same as before -- just letting them collide with her defensively poised body.
Burai's sword seemed to have a will of its own as he dealt with the attacks himself, then he began to be preparing his own retaliation, for what it appeared. The light show was impressive as well, but Feint's focus remained primarily on the abominable snow creature.
" Do what you need to, I'm just here to buy time at this point. "
If it could fluctuate its state of tangibility like Burai had shown he was able to do before, she'd may as well strike while she still could.
Burai knew this thing better than she did: if he was going to attack with fire, then it'd be best if she did as well. The residual data of the Blizzard Ball she had absorbed still swirled around her as she knelt down, almost as if preparing to sprint. She timed it so that the fire that flew out of the pillars, the one that made a circuit around the room, would be in her path before she made her strike.
*Vroosh!*
She made the motion as if taking a large leap, but rather than travelling anywhere, she vanished from sight in that moment.
*Whop!*
Reappearing again, this time ablaze with the fire she had made her ligthspeed dash through, Feint kicked at the Yeti from head on, only to disappear with another "Vroosh!" a moment later. The whopping sound didn't come from the impact of the kick, but rather from the split air that was caused by the force behind the kick, each one causing the area to shake even when it whiffed.
*Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!* *Whop!*
There were at least a dozen more kicks, each coming from a different angle as she appeared to warp around the creature to her heart's content, finding whatever blindside she could during the assault.
It all happened in only instant before she came skidding back to her original spot after the waltz. It was a far more impressive display of speed than she had shown before, but it was clear that it was very taxing on her, especially in the Real World's gravity where the G-Force would be lethal if not mingled with the Cyber World's right now. She had to be very selective when she chose to utilize it, but if it kept the creature busy long enough for Burai to finish it off, then she deemed that a worthy expenditure.
" It's all you from here on out. "

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/340189121500938240/733116292160290876/150~png The Yeti stomped its foot down and glided effortlessly around the battlefield, sliding around and effortlessly evading each of the individual slashes from the Laplace blade. As a few of the slashes end up landing their mark anyways, the yeti's thick skin seems to make the blade simply bounce of uselessly. As Burai skirted too close to the yeti, the raging storm around it seemed to seep away some of his vitality, his attempted punch only serving to get him too close to the yeti for comfort. His speed saved him from any dangerous feedback, but, it was evident that up front combat with the yeti would be as dangerous as letting the yeti fight from afar.
Burai, however, was far more intrigued by the sudden change in disposition by Feint - Her speed and intensity of force alone allowed her to continuously pepper the beast, coming at him from all angles, his ability to slide across the battlefield only so effective against her ability to come at him so quickly, her body afire as she crashed against his snow-sheen pelt, but, even after her relentless assault, the Yeti yet stood tall. However, the licking flames coating his form did not dissipate, and the Yeti found it difficult to so much as move without feeling the intensity of their heat.
Feint's fiery apparitions seemed to linger in the air after her travel, each burst leaving a trail in the air, her silhouette burned into blizzard around them. Burai capitalized on this, raising his sword into the air and focusing. The power of Apollon Flame was within his grasp, and what the Murian god of fire was capable of, so, too, was he. Twirling Laplace around in the air, the flaming silhouettes of Feint's onslaught moved about with his command, each careful swing of the blade through the air bringing the intense flames to surround his person. As the flames grew closer to him, he carefully opened and closed his hand, the fires in the room surrounding him as an overwhelmingly hot ring of flames coursed over his body.
"Your flames were ineffective. Let's see how he responds to my use of them."
Burai jumped up from his spot on the ground, the power of Feint's flames dancing around his body as he rose the Laplace blade. Swinging with the sword, it left a phantom of its swing in the air, first as though an after image of the speed of the blade, but, then, the afterimage caught fire, a searing prominence released time after time after time within an instant across the edge of the blade.

[Yeti Blizzard - Defeated]
As the final strike of the unending solar flare radiating from the edge of Burai's blade caused the Yeti before them to melt, Burai reached out his hand and curled it over his blade, commanding Laplace to consume Yeti Blizzard's essence. As a defender of the holy grounds, if this were the original Yeti Blizzard, as it should be, Laplace should be able to consume it.
If it weren't, Laplace would reject it, and its essence would die within his pyre, instead.

Well she wasn't reknown for packing a strong punch (much to her dismay), but it kept the monster busy which was the point of it.
" It seems to be a theme among your types. I'll admit, I'm not entirely accustomed still. "
This being wasn't necessarily from Burai's timeline (it existed naturally right here in her's, too), but whatever technology they used was certainly a complication for what she was used to. So there'd be plenty more observations to be made along the way before she could properly square up with any of them, and she was well aware of the fact.
Burai knew just what to do, though, and went to town on the yeti without much in the way of mercy. It made things easier for Cherish at least, since the brute was tough enough that she'd have started to crack herself if it went on for too much longer.
" I guess that'll about do it, then. All that's left now is your relic, right? "

#s://cdn~discordapp~com/attachments/340189121500938240/733116292160290876/150~png Sure enough, the massive Yeti Blizzard condensed itself into a whirling blizzard that spread itself across the edge of the Laplace Blade and was absorbed into its blade. He felt Laplace humming ever so slightly as the Yeti was taken into it, but Burai couldn't help but frown at the edge of the blade that almost smiled up at him as it was fed.
"Normally, yes," Burai said, turning to look in Feint's direction. He released his hold on the Laplace blade, and the ancient Unidentified Mythical Animal unfurled itself from its blade from to rest next to Burai, floating just next to him as little more than an animated cloud of black wave matter with eyes.
He turned his attention to the signs of a fight before theirs, just now, and found himself constantly checking back with the energy he could now study within the Laplace blade, since they weren't mid fight. What kind of energy readings were these? The pure intensity of power was something that felt familiar, and, yet, the wave energy was just off enough that it wasn't quite easy to place.
This Yeti's energies were charged enough that there was no doubt that it was the true Yeti Blizzard, but, it had gone through three iterations, just from what he could see of the ghost data in the air. The intensity of the Yeti's yells, and the force of his blows, hung in the dense clouds of Noise left behind in his wake, the holy grounds inevitably unaffected by its presence. It had been reconstructed - once, by some foreign force. Burai walked up to the remnants, his eyes able to see what Feint could not, the twisted visage of the angry Yeti fighting something that Burai could only just make out, but the symbol on the Yeti's forehead was all wrong. Whoever had tried to recreate the Yeti failed the first time, and it wasn't available to properly protect the shrine for the second invasion.
The second resurrection seemed more proper, but still rushed and unnatural - the only being capable of such a rebirth in such a short time span, based on the waves he could see, was Le Mu. He felt that he would be aware if Le Mu were active, though; it was, after all, the entire point of his trip. The presence of Le Mu made no sense.
The third resurrection was truly proper; a passage of time that allowed the Yeti to naturally rebuild itself from the ghost data in left in the air. That, however . . . would've taken years. Who on this side would've known about the Holy lands to not only attack it multiple times, but to attack it spaced out within a few years?
As he gazed up the stairs to the altar, he wondered whether or not he would find just a fake of the sword, like the first Yeti Blizzard he sensed was also a fake. Frowning to himself, he marched up the stairwell and reached out his hand to take grasp of the sword.
Instantly, the surge of energy from the blade resonated within his very being, as the lightning began crackling across its edge. Surely, no other thing in existence could replicate this overwhelming power.
"Someone has attacked the Murian holy grounds," Burai said simply from the top of the stairs, as he turned back towards Feint, carrying the Thunder Berserker Sword in his hands. "The Yeti should not have been awake when we arrived. While the sword was still where it belonged, there are signs of multiple fights here - and other things that do not make any sense with what I know of the historical differences between your side and mine.
"The other locations will likely have very similar situations. All things considered, my plans go unchanged, but, their is a new goal on the agenda. Whoever is doing this must pay. I will not forgive their transgressions."

Feint gave Laplace a strange look as it took on its new form, clearly trying to piece together in her head what it even was. It made sense now how the sword fought on its own, earlier: it really did have a will of its own. Burai went on to claim his prize as she continued observing the creature, though he had returned before she could really make anything else out of it.
" Well they didn't get what they came here for -- or at least not what you came here for. But it sounds like there's less time to waste. "
The sword was of no import to her, other than it being one of the relics she had been tasked to help Burai collect. She had no questions on what it was or what it did -- her only concern being that the objective here was finished and that four more still lied ahead of her. A business-oriented mindset through and through.
" Where will we be fighting our next pissed-off monster, then? "
