Now that the fighting was over, a sense of dread was lingering in the air. It wasn't emananating from the defeated knight, but rather it seemed to be from the entirety of the city and Citadel itself. In the time that they had managed to continue their adventure, something else managed to arrive for the mystery to become ever deeper. Their options to do from here were at least easily plain to them: now came what they would do with them next.
Still no movement from their knight, and now a new presence could be detected in this gloomy town. The options left were indeed plain, though.
" Yeah, I think we should get him outta here before whatever else is out there finds him, right? "
They could revisit it later with less on their shoulders, since at least there was more to explore. They'd definitely learned enough for one day, too.
" But if you're down to go exploring deeper, or have another idea of how to deal with our friend, don't let me stop you! "
It was going pretty well so far, so if Regis didn't feel like he was done yet then she'd might as well keep accompanying him further, just was a matter of handling what was in their hands first, of course.
There was still the sense of... something in the air. Not from the one they downed, but... Someone, or something new? Regis frowned, listening to Shine. It was tempting to stay, one to explore, but two to contest whatever new thing had shown up. But discretion was likely the better part of valor for right now, given how these past few fights had gone. Especially that last one... "Normally I would want to, but we're not exactly in peak condition anymore." He did look like he really want to keep going, a frown on his face before sighing.
"You have anywhere we can rest at?" He asked, moving forward to pick up the Navi's arm, as well as the knight himself, leaning the Navi on his shoulder for a carry.
Shine collected her mysterious-object-transporter -- the windbox -- and assisted Regis with carrying the knight.
" Sure do! NIA HQ will took good care of him and us, no doubt. My commander there should also be happy to learn about the stuff we found here, too. Since Creamland's and island though, and I'm not touching this here object, getting there will take us quite a minute, but I'm sure if we keep walking we'll make it in no time! "
Well, it was optimistic to say the least, but the truth nonetheless. From the citadel to the shore to a boat to the Netopian Network continent, then a long walk to NIA HQ -- it was definitely another journey ahead of them, but a mostly uneventful one aside from the awkward glances Shine would catch for the way she chose to transport her prize.
