Near the very edge of the undernet, a world unlike any other. Sealed away and lost to time, it hovers on the precipice of the Undernet proper and the fabled Secret Network. This is a network of twilight, forged in the rift between light and dark and lost to all but those with clearance to the absolute depths of the undernet's fabled voids.
The realm of untold power, and the realm of the kings of the net.
It is here that the Original Navi, Forte himself, now searches. His blood-red eyes look in silence through the realm, very much aware of his current trespass yet defiant in his stance. This task had within itself more worth than such foolish agreements, and such trivial matters soon wouldn't matter anyway. It takes him time, and it takes much effort, but eventually he discovers the hidden data that he'd searched for; the core of a Navi hidden away within the archives of the Secret Network. Yet, despite his victory, Forte scowls as he pulls it from the embedded code of the net and looks on it with a strange disgust.
The one that you chose to leave.
Forte's scowl deepens. He could feel the presence looming; the one being of darkness that could truly rival him. He glances over his shoulder while holding the core, clenching a fist shrouded in a yellow aura all the while.
Forte: It would be error to challenge my authority, S.
Serenade, who now stands a ways behind Forte, reaches his arms outwards as the raiments that adorne his very presence fly into place behind him. The dark-skinned king of the Undernet stands with a slight smile, radiating light and darkness alike.
Serenade: I am aware of what you have, Forte. I am aware of what you are, and what you seek to be. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say.
Serenade's expression darkens before he speaks, setting the unexpected shift in tone.
Serenade: I was aware of what you did with my counterpart, but did not stand in your way despite the fact that I still could have stopped you then. I have allowed you to find what I've kept of my old ally, and I accept what is going to come next.
Forte's monolithic glare holds as he listens to Serenade, knowing more of the undertones than what was said. It's at this point that the core in his hand turns to data and is absorbed into his palm, merging with his data and disappearing, cloaked by his own innate power.
Forte: You say that you're aware, S. Yet here you remain. Nothing remains in my path, and you lack the strength to resist my power.
Serenade doesn't change his expression, and stares into the blood red eyes of Forte defiantly. His hand rises and his palm extends as if he planned to attack, yet no retaliation comes against the original Navi.
Serenade: You know the truth as well as I do; one threat seeks to enslave us, and the other to render us obsolete. I fear that not even Giga Freeze can save the undernet from what is to come, but my continued presence buys you time that you so desperately need.
Forte's scowl deepens, angered yet begrudgingly in agreement with Serenade's assessment.
Serenade lowers his hand and turns away from Forte, facing the heart of the Secret Network while still looking over his shoulder to Forte.
Serenade: I'll not fall to them. Of this you can be assured
Serenade fades away, leaving behind Forte. His power is now far greater and far more chaotic than before, yet he has no issues harnessing it. With one last scoff in Serenade's general direction, he looks to the sky for a moment before flicking his cloak and teleporting away. Despite the titanic meeting of ages, the network itself stands timelessly silent, a lifeless witness to things to come...
