~ Arbor Woods ~The Arbor Woods, a massive wilderness of evergreen boasting massive size and incredible beauty located around the base of the Northern Peaks. Just beyond the forest lies the Ural Tundra, also called "The Southern Flats": a seemingly boundless expanse of plains and the last barrier between the wilderness and Com Square, the single largest city in all of Sharo.
Despite the heralding of Pandemic, Sharo appears completely normal, as if the young Cybeast's awakening hadn't happened at all.-
" ... "
The Arbor Woods was a most nostalgic scene for Warrior to be revisiting again after all these years. Memories filled the air here, reminding him of his spars with Merrill, reunions with Mirrorman, and crossings with Iscon and Rikaru among other things. But most importantly, this was where he first found Remnant: the "original" Warrior -- or as he was more privately known: David Pele's reincarnation.
He was here now after quite a long detour in the catacombs underneath the mountains, cutting his search underground early in favor of the interests of a peculiar creature he'd found down there: Vestil. A Reaverking, no less, but his moral judgement had already made its decision and that led him to return to the surface and continue his original mission here: searching and investigation.
His search for Rikaru and Iscon proved fruitless other than the aforementioned detour, so now came his investigation on the state of Sharo. The country seemed quite peaceful thus far -- unsurprisingly, there wasn't too much social life going on outside of Com Square, just mostly basic creatures out here in the wild going about their natural lives. Those being the reaverbots under the mountains existing in a non-threatening state to the world around them, the "Peon"-esque miners doing some manual labor throughout the mountains, and the rather docile "bugs" that skittered about seemingly sporadically across the mountains themselves.
For the rest of his path toward Com Square -- through this forest and through the Southern Flats -- he'd expect more wildlife or potential detours, but he'd welcome the time to arrange his thoughts going forward. It'd probably be quite sometime before he ever came back here, so he'd at least bask in the reminiscence for now.

~Let Me Face My Fears~ [Watch Me Cry] All My Tears
This was perhaps not the most "idea" place for romanticism.
As usual, a certain Net Operator had been oblivious to ideas and passions. No matter how far she had gone to make a few adjustments to the graphics and twisting the details of every blush of her skin, ;it seemed to escape him to simply compliment one's looks. Yet, it was one of the things she adored adored about him! Pure untainted innocence and a simplistic heart like a child that seen simply black and white.
"Oh Xen!" She chimed even though he was probably preoccupied behind some desk. "Once again, I am not noticed as...they say...a woman, yes?"
Just the thought of him becoming flustered from her wearing the thick coating of white fur that contradicted her exposed knees. Her ankles slid right into the tall white boots that were purchased as a graphic override with some of the Zenny she had been given. Once again, the violet haired boy expected her to outfit herself with something she liked personally, but once again, he was unaware of her forward nature.
Well...she bought fur boots, coat, and ear muffs. She might as well wear it, right?
She almost blended in with the pristine white now. Fair skin and her accessories aside, she would have been mistaken for a backdrop of the environment if not for her slow and delicate steps sifting through the snow. With each gentle movement, there was a crispness instead of a crunch in the white slush. Her red lips would breath a hint of the mist. The environment simulating a warm breath in the cold reaches of Sharo's wild lands. She could still recall when the violet haired boy would explain the sights and sounds of the Arbor to her when she had the mind of a newborn babe.
Lest, there was something that was short of the scenery that Megami was not familiar with by scene, but by face. The Goddess stopping short as if the Arbor had been playing tricks on her, yet, she had certainty creep into her heart with a hint of joy the come with it. Her knitted gloves clasping together as she stood in the middle of the path with her back towards Sharo's towering structures that held little value next to what she seen: a friend.
"My Warrior!"
She chimed pressing the knitted gloves together. Blue orbs would happily gaze at the sight of the figure that was among the harbor. endearingly, her hands came to her chest while another breath would escape her lungs. A powerful rush that left her breathless before finally she found the strength to pick up her pace and approach the NetNavi.
"Such a beautiful world this is! Once again, we find each other by chance! Just as the wind sails a leaf into the unknown, it never knows where it lands or where it finds!" A giddy giggle escaped the lips of the goofy goddess who hoped with her feet together like an excited child. "So then, where does the winds take you, my Warrior?!" she chimed happily...curiously...still hanging onto the endearing, misinterpreted title she had given him.

#s://i~imgur~com/dk4CQm0~png " Oh Xen! "
" ? "
Warrior heard the familiar voice, but couldn't find where it came from at first. Truthfully, he'd spent all day dealing with non-lingual creatures that it came as quite the pleasure for this voice to be the first one he'd heard during this silent trek.
" My Warrior! "
His joy beamed through his face at the smiling of his lips when he and Megami finally caught sight of each other. But while his grin expressed happiness, his eyes expressed perplexity as Megami made her advance.
" Such a beautiful world this is! Once again, we find each other by chance! Just as the wind sails a leaf into the unknown, it never knows where it lands or what it finds! So then, where do the winds take you, my Warrior?! "
Not "Xen-kun"? "Warrior-san"? He was a tad offset by hearing her use plain names, but nonetheless, the figure approaching him wore Megami's face, so the thought was basically tossed in the wind as she drew near.
" I suppose I'm still trying to figure that out, my Goddess. "
He chuckled himself at her goofiness and referred back to her by the same endearing title that referenced probably their most awkward but memorable encounter.
" How'd you end up all the way out here? "
Sharo's Cyber World was on lockdown since the Juno incident -- no entering or leaving was permitted by standard means. Which meant the poor girl could have been stuck here for the past 6 months and been none the wiser to anything happening outside of its borders!
But then again, navigation through the Real World made it a bit easier to get around this network lock: Xenneth could have just been jacked in from any Real World location in Sharo for her to be here, which was actually was quite possibly the case. Warrior himself was able to get here by virtually the same method.
Or in the third case, the wind really could have just picked her up and dropped her off here! Which Warrior certainly wouldn't complain about either, fortune rarely favored him as much!

~Let Me Face My Fears~ [Watch Me Cry] All My Tears Things had changed about her, and that was not a lie. However, things remained the same. For instance, Megami still was oblivious of Warrior's expressions and just how dynamic of a link they had to his emotions. She seldom paid attention to those things when she was caught up in the jovial moments that excited her. Many of them had to do with her Net Operator, and others were like this moment she shared with the lone warrior. His presence after her tours had become something akin to a child seeing a long lost best friend.
One of many...
However, Megami had not let everything escape her blue eyes. One thing was Warrior's lips closing as he uttered the last word that would give her pause. Her wondrous child-like gaze halting as once again it had set upon the NetNavi before her. She had an eye for detail, when it mattered, and for this moment; she could swear something was off. Something was missing from Warrior that was as close to him as one's own...
...well...whatever it was...she would notice eventually.
"Oh?" The Goddess would forget everything so quickly as she acknowledged the Warrior's question. "Here? Well, Xen is here!" she piped happily. "Absent we have been for a while from Electopia. I-It is...only necessary. After so many things happened to us, Xen desired to be...'normal' for a while." Her hands folding into a bawl as her eyes would droop with a hint of sadness. The word no doubt had a thorn in her heart at that moment.
"B-but...things are well, nonetheless!" She beckoned with her trademark terrible lie and face to come with it. "Xen has been traveling abroad in order to learn more. He has certainly...become somewhat stronger. As one would say, I believe he is becoming a 'man' at this point. Which means..."
The Goddess had fallen silent. Her eyes had fallen to the crisp snow beneath her boots once more. A single finger would unfold from the bawl of her grasp and then follow as they traced along the air slightly in a limp manner. A small peep of a computer would indicate that she would must transmission with her P.E.T...if only for a moment.
"My Warrior..." Her voice was almost lowly and defeat. "...surely, we can walk and talk, yes?"
This seemed important to her.

#s://i~imgur~com/dk4CQm0~png Warrior's face remained glowing as the goddess went on with her explanation. It was more or less as he had presumed: she was just here with Xenneth. Not many Navis that he knew these days were still as close with their operator as these two were, so it was always inspiring to see how well humans and navis could get along, considering his regular company.
" ... "
His smile sank to back to a neutral expression with a raised eyebrow as she emphasized the word "normal" to describe Xen's desires. A hint of suspicion welled up within Warrior: this may have been the reason behind the '-kun's and the '-san's being absent, but he knew better than to jump to a conclusion like that. So like before, he set the blind assumption to the back of his mind instead and listened on.
And at the end of it all, she looked sad. He placed a hand on her shoulder -- physically requesting her eyes to come up off of the ground and meet back with his as he solemnly accepted her request to talk.
" Of course. "
The concern seemed to matter a lot to her, and if it was that important to her then it was that important to him, too. He initiated the walk, gently pulling her by the shoulder he still held as he started out with a slow enough pace that she could join him before putting his hand back at his side going forward.
" Tell me what's on your mind, Megami. "

~Let Me Face My Fears~ [Watch Me Cry] All My Tears A gentle tug? Yes. She needed that.
Megami had been spacy lately. More than usual. Often, she would go from her jovial self to just looking out into the cusp of cyberspace as if something was there. Worries filled her head where the thoughts would be, and she would not move the slightest of muscle as if her program had been stripped to nothing but a graphic’s frame. However, all she needed was a word, or in this case, a touch to bring her back. Her steps were like that of a zombie at first as she followed warrior, but would finally stop as he would sit.
A smile appeared. It was weak. Forced.
“Oh!” She shook her head, mirroring that violet haired child’s passive manner, “I-It is probably nothing. Perhaps it is something? Perhaps I am crazy? Perhaps I am not.” Her words were a tangle of confusion. It reflected perfectly what was going on in her head. Only when she would unravel the thread that were her thoughts, she would take a seat by a piece of thick arbor laying about. Her blue eyes gazing down to the crisp white crunchy snow as she would let out a warm breath. Once again, she would try.
“Warrior is not just a NetNavi, but a...person, yes?” Megami speaking with some hint of suspicion. Her eyes going upward to focus on him. “It is just, I noticed...things about Xen that I have noticed about you...things that are similar to Xen. It only makes sense to connect those things...that you too have desires, dreams, and you seem very tenacious. In some sense, it seems that Warrior is more man than program, yes?” Megami lips pressed as if she was trying to rethink this craziness that was going on in her head.
No! She was not crazy! She knew what she was saying this time.
“Xen is always focused...just like Warrior. He does not not indulge in things that I see others do: not selfish, very thoughtful, and...caring.” She clasped her lips before speaking once again, “Warrior…” Megami would begin to move her shoulders to her fur jacket. Her fingers slipping beneath the shoulders to peel it away to reveal flesh all the way to her bosom that was cuffed by her signature bustier. Her cheeks were fiery red as she would ask with a hysterical face.
“D-do you! Do you think I am desirable as a woman, Warrior?!” She cried desperately to know.
It made sense now. It was not so much of Warrior’s origin she was interested in, but rather an opinion. Whether he could get past her sorrow and the...well...jiggle...depended on him. “I-I...believe that I should be desirable as a woman to a man, yes? Even if I am just a program...but...Warrior and Xen...if you find me desirable, then surely he would as well, yes? I have never heard such a thing from him.”
It was apparent then that Megami shown something more than just her fancy bustier: rather her insecurities. She could only gaze deeply into his eyes, leaning close as if to give him a look at her. To REALLY be sure if she was indeed someone worth looking at.

Warrior tried not to show too much expression that she had pieced his origin together as she was saying it aloud. Though he did feel somewhat uneasy that he'd never told her about it, it seemed that she wasn't too upset even if she wasn't entirely convinced of it yet. It seemed as though she was seeking confirmation, and he'd thought about it for a while now that maybe she and a few others deserved to have that. So as she took her pause, he took a deep breathe and opened his mouth to respond.
" Warrior... "
" ... "
His lips closed as she continued, not realizing at first that there was more she wanted to say. He sort of knew what was coming next though: "Why didn't you just tell me sooner" or something of the like. When suddenly...
" ?!! "
... suddenly she was taking clothes off?!
" D-do you! Do you think I am desirable as a woman, Warrior?! "
" W-What?! "
That wasn't what he expected at all!
By some miracle he was able to keep his eyes on hers, but they felt like they had anchors attached to them, begging to gaze downward at what she was putting on display. They drifted down for just a second, as if to peek, but quickly met back with Megami's as she continued. He was probably blushing more than she was at first just due to the sudden change of pace here.
" I-I...believe that I should be desirable as a woman to a man, yes? Even if I am just a program...but...Warrior and Xen...if you find me desirable, then surely he would as well, yes? I have never heard such a thing from him. "
" I-I-- uhhh... "
To say that he was caught offguard was an understatement, but he let out a chuckle to diffuse the awkwardness of her forwardness as best he could in that moment, raising his countenance to go from "rather shocked" to a more amused expression. He figured it was better to answer quickly since hesitation was an answer in and of itself, as was blatantly dodging it altogether.
" I certainly don't find anything undesirable about you Megami, rest assured. I doubt Xenneth would either. "
Well, then again, there was a little doubt there, but he managed not to show it, hopefully. Warrior remembered Xenneth as being a bit... girly? And while he wasn't one to accuse him of "playing for the other team": if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
" Some people just don't say everything that's on their mind is all. Some people are afraid to admit what they find desirable, and some probably just accept that you're out of their league, honestly. There'll inevitably be a good number that never say it outloud, but most of them are probably thinking it anyway. "
Besides, she didn't have to be desirable to every man just because she was a woman -- there being some that she wouldn't appeal to was another inevitability at the end of the day. That much didn't really require Warrior announcing though, in this moment.
" And I mean... has Xenneth ever found any other girl desirable? He's probably the type just to keep it to himself, if nothing else. "
May as well get that cat out of the bag if it was in there. Otherwise, the later case was still just as likely, all things considered. And if nothing else, this delayed their previous topic a little longer even if he had soft-confirmed her theory by now.

Falling through the cracks...
--------------------------------- Tagging: Warrior Now Listening To: N/A Pretty Lil' Thoughts: Switching to something a little more simplistic. --------------------------------- Were those words? A new custom? Anything to describe the momentary lapses of silence that Warrior had given her along with the inadequate broken speech. Her cheeks flushed red, not due to the quick glance he given to her...but the fact he did not look any longer than that: just a glance! Was she that unfit?! Her shoulders screamed this as they tensed for a moment. Her arms flung to her body as she covered her flesh slightly.
“A-ah! A-am I that horrible?!” She asked herself.
Ugh! This was beyond frustrating to her! Her thoughts drifted so wildly as they went on to a hundred possibilities. She was a Goddess and she was a programmed one, but she was still a woman at heart. “Perhaps this is why, Xenneth does not look at me?!” She thought about the stolen glance. “He did just like Warrior had!” Yes! She remembered her last attempt to get him to give her a glance over. It was a little more aggressive, falling on her legs in a bathing suit that a shop vendor said should had been sold on the reaches of the Undernet with how its design was.
Warrior’s words would stop it all.
As if to derail her train track of thoughts, the NetNavi would give attention to Megami once more. Her mind inserting the new bit of information once more. “Out of...their league?” She uttered to herself as the blue orbs rolled upwards. Once again, they were searching something that flew over her head and beyond her reach as she tried to grasp it. “As in…’It is not my body is not good enough for Xenneth...but perhaps...too good for him to see,’ is what you are saying in terms of ‘league’, yes?” It was such a strange concept, but yet, as usual...the Goddess tried to wrestle with it. She could master over twenty arts in the natural world of data, why not this?
“Then, by definition that is,” she began. Stopping, only to proofread her knowledge, she would nod and then turn to look at Warrior with a certain expression. Her index finger pointing heavensward as she spoke like a professor, “If Warrior has the same League as Xenneth, which is noble, honest, kind, and strong, then you must share the same league and be able to relate! A matter of fact, Warrior sounded almost like Xenneth in trying to explain things. It was...all so...familiar.” Her eyes drifting in wonder about such a thing.
But, quickly, she cleared her throat as her sapphire gaze landed back on the Navi.
“Which means this is perfect!” She chimed happily, “Warrior! What can I do, u-uh...as a woman...to give the impression that my body is indeed acceptable to be gazed upon by someone like you, who share this same...uh...league...as Xenneth?” she had declared. Her right hand lifting with her hind. The clothing she wore draped, but they were corrected to rest upon her shoulder. Her right hand would go to a nearby panel that appeared at her fingertips as she seemed to be actively scrolling through an array of items. Her back to Warrior as she was swiping, sweeping, and punching the digits with her fingers.
...falling down into the darkness.

Warrior was silent for a moment, not completely sure how to address her concern. The silence probably felt like an eternity for Megami, two months and 25 days to be exact, but she seemed occupied enough with what she was doing for it not to be too concerning.
" How about this... "
He broke the quietness at last, a daft solution coming to his mind finally, but one that wasn't so daft after he had thought it through to himself during the silence.
" Like you said, I'm a person just like Xenneth, yet I'm able to come into the Cyber World and interact with you. "
The notion was starting to become more obvious now. After all, there was another reason Xenneth could have been ignoring her: he could have just accepted the fact that the barrier between their worlds was impassable.
" Sharo seems pretty docile based on everything I've seen so far -- perhaps even the most peaceful place in the cyber world at the moment. I think this would be a good spot for you two to see each other face to face. "
Whether or not they had done so before on the likes of the OEL Campus didn't really cross his mind, but there was no doubt that the two of them have never been able to interact in a manner that he was offering.
" I'm able to be here via some technology called 'Pulse Transmission'. It's nothing new to the world, but only people with certain privileges can get access to it these days. If you'd like, I can let Xenneth use it to meet you here. Maybe it'd change the situation a bit for the two of you. "
The Cyber World could be a dangerous place, but there didn't seem to be any of that around here. Up until now, everything that Warrior had interacted with was mostly docile if left undisturbed, so there didn't seem to be any harm in the notion that he had offered her.
" What do you say, Megami? "

"If you were looking for a good spot to meet up, I'm surprised you didn't just recommend Gigamerica."
It was difficult to discern where the voice had come from. It sounded like it had emanated from all around them, carried by the very wind itself. Perhaps that was why the pair would be able to discern where it had come from in the end: from above. And hovering down was one in all green armor and a flowing cape, a golden jeweled rod adorned with a crimson gem at the tip of the scepter as all that could be seen from his face, masked by what looked like a pointy hat of a helmet, were an eerie yellow gleam focused on Warrior here. It was as if the floating one wasn't even there from those looking on him, like a specter that wasn't real at all.
"...But you have quite the uncanny habit of being in the wrong place at the right time, don't you? Quite unfortunate for those around you, of course."

A voice came from above from a figure Warrior didn't quite recognize. There was an air of hostility, but he was long past the type to jump to conclusions. After all, what the individual said wasn't entirely false either.
" It's my curse. "
He began to realize that perhaps this wasn't the best time nor place for his previously offer to Megami. Still, it'd remain on the table if the future allowed it, but for now it seemed it was time for the scene to transition.
" What misfortune have I found myself in this time? "

"As the saying goes; actions have consequences. So this time you could say you have a bit of fortune this time in part to your own recent endeavor."
It likely wouldn't be difficult for him to discern what he had done recently that could have led to this. While it no doubt had left him with questions to answer still, it led to its own kind of enlightenment one could say. So the curse he carried might yet yield something else after all.
"And so you're allowed to ask a question of your own for this predicament you're in. And perhaps, if fortune further allows, you may gain knowledge that you might be able to use."

The most relevant thing he had done recently would probably have had to been his peaceful resolution with Vestil, likely meaning that these two had some sort of relationship; a positive one by the implications.
" I feel I'm pretty lacking in knowledge all around at the moment, only learning pieces of information for what's going on in the world at large. That said, I can't say I'd know what to ask that would benefit us most in that regard, but I imagine knowing Sharo's place in all of this would be most useful for now. "
The country seemed more quiet than ever -- docile and peaceful at first glance. But empty and absent as well. Outside of Megami and this new comer, he hadn't run into any seemingly intelligent life here, which was certainly out of the norm compared to the past, even for a country on lockdown since at least the residents would be out and about.
" I felt a strange presence when I came here and a few times since; essentially the surrounding area becoming blurry for a moment before returning to normal. Ran into unfamiliar entities on the mountain, and unexpected ones in the caves, but nothing really sociable until just recently. I guess I'm just curious on what's going on over on this side of the world and whether it has any relation to the events in Electopia. It's a bit particular though -- no worries if it's too particular for you to have an answer for. "

"The things taking place in Sharo are unrelated to Electopia, so there's no cause for concern there. They're all rather isolated incidents that just so happen to paint quite the overarching picture. Because Electopia is already finished. As is Sharo and Netopia with Creamland's on its way out."
It was strange to hear perhaps. There was no news of anything as bad as New Life's fall in any of those. Though with how desolate Sharo appeared to be right now, could it be farfetched? But if he wasn't lying, then it was some rather dark implications all the same.
"All results of so many hands in one pot, you could say. Even now, they try to stir it again and again while lacking a proper view of the big picture. But that's a lovely thing, to me anyway."
Every time they did simply resulted in quite the gains thus far. In fact, even now it was about the same. It was something that made him understand a bit better why this was the approach that had been chosen rather than a simple application of brute force. Well, it was his preferred take on the subject all the same given how that always went their way all the same. Especially so since they all were together this time instead of splitting up and doing it on their own like usual. But that wasn't the current reality, so he would live with what they had instead.

" Too many hands in the pot, huh... "
It was almost as if that statement stood out more than the rest -- it felt far too catered to Warrior for it to have gone overlooked. He was known as one of the premier "pot stirrers", coming and going to invigorate change and improvement with a seemingly endless stamina for the hard work that came with.
But this identity didn't come from his own past; it came from something that transcended his own character. Hints of it were in Feint, Faith, and Remnant as well, because there was a specific trait about them all that they had in common, other than just all being human.
It may not have been in his own ability to piece it all together, but there was one thing he could do to give himself a start.
" All hands can't be taken out at once; then the pot would just stagnate. There's no easy way to take them out orderly, either, so sometimes it's a price that has to be accepted and paid. "
It was just one democracy quote away from being confirmation of an allusion, but such a parallel would be hard not to appreciate.
" The big picture certainly interests me, but I've got a feeling there's concern for whether I'm able to see it at all. I'm always open to make the attempt, but my values will determine the way I view it all at the end of the day -- it goes for us all really. We can't lie to ourselves on the matter, but we can try to see through our differences and connect the dots where they fit. "
For the matter at hand, the state of Sharo could be the state of everywhere else when they were done, from what it sounded like. Empty and largely uneventful, but at least full of good memories and bad alike. An end to a story, a closing of the book. It wasn't bad really, for a place to reach its conclusion, but it was worth sticking it out in places that life still existed, even if it was in only small sums. Silence and Reminiscence would be the end no matter the means, but that didn't make the means purposeless.
" The differences won't always see eye to eye, and some of the hands may voice their complaints on the matter from time to time. The big picture is what they all create, even if each one's own varies from the others. "
It could be a lovely thing that sometimes didn't receive the appreciation it deserved, it could also be a dangerous thing that destroyed the pot as a whole. Without there being the spectrum though, there'd be no beauty in the balance of it all -- cogs grind and scream, but they still need each other to spin, and even the noisiest of them knows that.
" I suppose this all puts Creamland on my radar to visit next, but even if you stood aside and let me go, I still wouldn't know what happened here in Sharo. What cornerstone fell here that was unheard by the world? "
