Finale arrived in the Aftermath of New Life's destruction.
An orange light swept across the ground, and gathered into Finale's vision. A corrosive acid of orange-yellow light, that ate everything it came into contact with. The corpses numbered in the hundreds at this point, perhaps just over a thousand, their data washed and purified into Finale's own. It was visible from even kilometers away - an orange-red wave of disintegration.
If they couldn't revive, their was no point in having mercy. Their deaths would not go to waste. Though weak and defeated, the individual navis power would come together, integrated in the code of the virus, and become cohesive.
A vampire drawn to bloodbath, Finale grew only stronger.

Embera could feel the rumbling as Finale's wave overtook the deceased of New life's wreckage. A flame to the moth, Embera investigated using her keen intellect and her ability to see things. As she climbed to ground level, she could see the orb of light condensing down into Finale. As she looked around, she could see no bodies around. Embera was hardly able to fathom what was going on.*
Embera: Did....DID YOU JUST EAT THOSE DUDES?! Eugh I think I'm gonna...
*And she did...all over the ground. Smoldering like napalm, the fumes only made her retch more. She didn't even know she could vomit, but Finale had a way of making Embera learn things about herself, like how tangible fire could have a functioning digestive system, at least in reverse. As she regained her breath and composure. She made eye contact with Finale, mostly to keep from looking back down, and tried her best to look confrontational.*

Even the data from Embera's vomit turned to a reddish-yellowish hue, being reduced to simple bits and drawing into the orb reflected in Finale's vision.
The viral being covered their eye with their hand as it looked to Embera, liquid data bursting from their eye. They smiled a rabid, fanged smile, a certain instability in their eyes.
"I'm searching. These undead, no longer living yet forbidden from death - in a way, I'm doing them a favour. Each unliving memory now lives within me. Perhaps soon I will see what they saw in the minutes before their death."
Finale crossed his arms nonchalantly, taking an uncomfortable comfort in his friend's presence.
"Perhaps you could save me having to feast any more, if you could tell me about what - or who, caused this wreckage."

*Embera watches as Finale continues to absorb the data around her, even the bit from her. Strengthening her stomach, she wipes her mouth and just stares quizzically at the viral thing in front of her. *
Embera: ....What? You don't have to talk so fancifully Finale. It's just the two of us here, my guy. No, This place was trashed when I got here. The reaverbot chaos in Element City? now that I got knowledge of. Keep eating things up if you want, it's more cleanup than the Officials are doing here. It's just....can you use a different color than that sickly orange? Try cyan. Most things don't look so slushy in cyan.
*Embera's face gently contorted in disgust remembering the reddish bits almost dissolving away from the downed navis.*

"Forgive me, perhaps undeath has left me unsociable."
Finale found themself a rock amongst the rubble upon which to sit. Brushing their cape back, the humanesque virus sat daintily, careful not to get themselves dirty amongst the rubble. With dexterity, she applied a bandage to her bleeding eye and looked back towards the living fire.
"Has so little really happened in the time I was gone? I remember the Reaver crisis just as well as you.
How pitiful I was then.
No, what I'm looking for is... newer. A red navi commanding the power of a titan.
I'm also looking for something far older, but... I'll save you having to hear about my World 3 affairs."
Finale looked at his friend with the same level of disgust as she had had only moments ago. Only this was aimed inwardly, a self-loathing at the very thought of working with Gate-sama.
But it had to be done.

*Embera found an uneasy relief as Finale closed up that darn eye...thing. "That ain't right...." She thought to herself. Listening to Finale muse about the reaver event reminded Embera of those strange times. She never cared for them, but her friends were by her side. As Finale mentioned the Red Navi, Embera instinctively reached for Purgatory, its presence a bitter sting to her psyche.*
Embera: Yeah, I lost him in Element City. Apparently, he has some connection with the Reaverbots too. As for the other thing...I should probably not pry into your mission. Though chances are, if my needs cross paths with your mission....I don't want to have to fight any more of my friends Finale. Please, please tell me we will not have to come to blows on the battlefield like we nearly had to in Bayside...
*The thought of nearly decimating Finale back in Bayside stung. It was clear that the constant state of turmoil Embera was in was taking a toll. The once goliath firebrand looked tired, almost helpless, and no longer had her once brilliantly scorching aura about her. *

"Do you think I enjoy it? Wearing this brand?"
Finale turned and tossed their cape aside, leaving the Mark of World Three in full view. It stared at Embera.
"My mission is absolute. I cannot resist my programming. I make no promises."
He looked sad, his eye tearing up. He couldn't stand to look at Embera in the face.
"My only hope is that we're fighting on the same side..."
He trailed off, walking forwards, away from Embera, gaining some ground as he climbed a small outcropping of destroyed highway.
"I will kill Rosso."

*Embera looked at the area, practically hoovered clean. She gave a skeptical look.*
Embera: given how readily and fancifully you ate those dudes....yeah I kinda think you do.
*She took note of the emblem branded on Finale, and shook her head.*
Embera: you know as well as I do, no programming is absolute. This is still partly your choice, as you go along with it. I don't want to have to fight you, but when the time comes we must do what we must.
*Seeing Finale climb away from her, she could see that he was finished with her. She turned back down the way she came to meet back up with Genesis, giving Finale some parting words.*
Embera: No ya won't!
