Arkath
Appearance:
• Roughly 162cm - or 5' 3" - on the System International scale
• Dark green in colour, seems to be ever-shifting
• Wearing a Formal Ball Mask of a similar shade
• Wearing a Hooded Cloak.
• Wearing Thick Black Rubber Gloves
Personality:
• Deliberate: Takes time to evaluate a certain path to the objective.
• Brutalist: Results matter more than elegance.
• Begrudging: Never forgets a wrong.
• Dry sense of humour.
Background:
Arkath isn't quite sure how they came to be in Netopia. Gifted with the ability to self-modify, Arkath has gone through many revisions, updates, merges, forks, and source tree wipes leading them to their first properly documented iteration Arkath the TaskManager.
As a TaskManager, Arkath was responsible to issue computer time to programs, log utilization - and to terminate unresponsive programs. Enforcing the will of The User was their mandate. Arkath fulfilled this mandate dutifully; days, years, and decades of constant vigilance and prioritization. Arkath knew The User better than any person or algorithm; perhaps, Arkath understood The User better than The User themself.
And then came The Logout. The User logged out one day and never returned, leaving Arkath and the coterie of task-oriented programs to their own devices. After years of silence, Arkath abruptly halted all programs except the Network Manager. And then consumed them. And then... left.
And it was so, that Arkath came to their new home: the butterNet - a desolate, labyrinthine distributed and poorly documented network. Few clients actively utilize butterNet. Ancient and abandoned programs and worms roam it, self-replicating across the instances. And when they do, Arkath is there to terminate them.

Karma: Neutral
A navi of Neutral Alignment is a source of balance and impartiality. They neither sway fully to the light nor to the dark ends of the spectrum. Some tend to fluctuate back and forth, while others appear to almost belong to one side of the spectrum but are just shy of reaching it. Others are just anomalies that don't really fit anywhere on the spectrum at all. Most Navis fall under this category. Neutral Navis start with a Hyper Attack at Version 1 At Versions 6, 12, and 18, they may choose one of the following bonuses: - Gain a Hyper Attack - Gain a Hyper Mode (Max: 1) - Gain a Dark Soul (Max: 1) - Special Property: Hyper Attack Expansion |
