It was a pretty morbid twist that in the world they lived in, one was more weary of trust and good-faith than they ever were the threat of annihilation itself. And yet it wasn't a twist he was unaware of. He was someone who said their world was just that bad, after all.
"The catch hasn't changed. I would still like you to make a decision that you considered for yourself. Whether it be to stand with us, stand against us, or not stand at all. I simply want you to be able to make one you won't regret. If there was a catch, I could only say it was something I mentioned before."
He outlook grew a bit more grim then, as if to remind of the urgency of that statement he made before. The question of was the world truly that bad, and the question of why now.
"Even if we give you time, there isn't time to spare. That's run out now."
They acted efficiently, yet urgently. Ruthlessly, yet cautiously. They destroyed, but sought no dominion. And yet that was something he had to make abundantly clear if there was nothing else to take from this. The time for actions and decisions was upon all of them. Whether they made a decision or not, whether they took action or not, was at least this time in the hands of Psyche himself. His decision or action wouldn't be forced, not like they were before.

Psyche continues to examine the artifact that he'd been given as Rosso speaks, shifting his gaze from it to Rosso and back several times over. He could sense the lessening strands of patience, but still had one final question to ask
Psyche: Very well, I'll accept your opportunity to search this out for myself. But one final question to close out our time together today, assuming you have no further questions for me in return. Regardless of my choice, I would like to contact you with my answer. How would I go about doing so?

"There are a few ways to contact me that still work, such as that artifact there. I can also allow messages through from you. As long as you use Zane's channel for it, I can receive it. Another way would be setting out just a small amount of bug data, but not enough for others to notice you. You're well acquainted with it after all. If you do so in a location that isn't masking you like this, I can find you no matter where that is. But I do have one final question of my own."
The last would be more of a ditch effort if anything. A distress signal, funnily enough. And his talk with Psyche had still managed to stir this question up. Normally it was something he thought to be second nature. Something that never begged questioning. And yet he couldn't help but wonder now...
"If you were faced with a task that would be the ruin of everything and everyone, those you hate and those you do not... how would you go about solving it? Would you do everything in your power to do or not?"

A telling question to finish off a telling meeting. Psyche thinks for a moment before shaking his head and raising a hand to Rosso, his eyes shut as a bit more detail is added to the proverbial picture.
Psyche: You always did have the heart of a zealot.
Psyche looks back with a thoughtful yet stern expression, speaking in a strong tone as he gives his reply.
Psyche: Every problem can be broken down, as can any answer. Stop looking at it in absolute terms and break it down into its component parts, then you may just see that the problem itself isn't what you thought it was in the first place. But as for me...
Psyche leans back in a proud, almost smug way. His face would betray a smile to match if it had the features to do so.
Psyche: I'm still here, aren't I?

He couldn't deny that one. At the end of the day even if Zane had never come off as self-righteous or holier-than-thou much, the heart of a zealot was a good personal description for him. He had been uncompromising about his ideals time and time again. In the past it was something that kept those around him on the straight path, not veering off into the grimy path that others casually walked again and again.
But every problem can be broken down, as could any answer... Looking at it without absolute terms...
"She'll get a good laugh out of hearing that one."
She had stop looking at the world in absolutes a long time ago. Small and cunning as she was, she'd probably tell him that he was being way too melodramatic about all of this. She didn't harbor any illusions about was being done or needed doing, straight as an arrow. Whether it was wrong or right was a clear picture in her eyes. But she didn't let those distinctions weigh her down whatsoever. But he couldn't help but smile himself at how assured of himself the doctor was.
"Smug as you are, I've never been able to take you for a quitter either. Even if you aren't a vibrant beacon, you make an ever brilliant stand. I would never be able to hate that."
He was going to leave a nice present for Nightshade from this... but he supposed he would heed the doctor's words early this time. The cat and his nine lives would manage to last for a bit longer. At least until he proverberially threw himself into the fire. Or literally, in this case.
"I hope to hear from you again, whatever your answer may be."
Like blowing out a candle, the faint sign that was Rosso faded out like a candlelight. Leaving Psyche with both answers and questions alike from this encounter, safe between those that he trusted instead of those he could not trust.
And for the first time, the move would be in his court instead of in theirs.

Psyche holds his smug demeanor as he nods to Rosso before he disappears, looking on as the newly appointed harbinger of destruction leaves his network.
...he then releases a massive breath, deflating in his chair from relief. Despite his facade and brazen show, the meeting with Rosso had been far more nerve-racking than he would have dared let on. With a new-found migraine, which is compounded by the size of his bulb-like head, Psyche lazily turns his chair back to his monitor and begins to work again. First he scans the area to make sure that Rosso had fully left, and more importantly that he hadn't left anything behind. And in regards to that, he then begins to scan his own network in hopes of discovering what changes Rosso had made to the basic framework when he entered. Changing an entire country such as Netopia or Electopia was one thing, but Psyche's control over his own private server made it far easier for him to localize the exact changes.
While he does this, psyche also places the device that Rosso had given to him into a small box on his console, cutting it off from any form of communication. And lastly, Psyche begins a scan on himself and his personal database in order to see if anything had changed in his time speaking with Rosso.

As Psyche continued his work, he would receive an E-mail notification that read:
