Continued from The Mastermind's PlanAs Glint's company falls into the darkness below, they are force-teleported to the very bottom of the network. A place of lost hope, a place far from the goal... yet a place not devoid of an escape. The entire field before the group is shadowed, with an area of dim light covering roughly a 60 foot round area. Beyond this, it's impossible to see. But right at the end of the light, a pillar rises to the area above; an elevator. And just as the scene becomes fully visible, the elevator door opens and floods the area with light, giving rise to a shadow walking out.Metallic step after metallic step he appears, obscured by the blinding light of the elevator behind him. A Navi of normal height and strong build; nothing too impressive at first glance.... but at the same time, he stands with an abnormal confidence against superior numbers of a force shown to be neigh-invulnerable up to this point.
Didn't quite make it, huh? Shame, I was actually looking forward to seeing Gate humbled a bit.
The voice pauses as its helmeted head looks over the group or a moment, obviously taking stock of what was to come next.
....heck, I'm a nice guy. If you can beat me, Gate's all yours. But It's only fair to warn you....
The elevator doors slam shut behind the figure, allowing the light to die down and the truth to reveal... as a single, glowing red eye peers out with vengeful malice.Vile: there's no possible way that I'd ever lose to you.
...any analytic figure among this group would realize something right off the bat; any previous data on Vile had no baring on what stood before them. The Undefeatable Hero of Villains stands with not only his own terrifying innate force, but the orange barrier that they'd all entered into seems to twist and warp around his very being, creating an almost other-worldly visage.
The invading force now stares down the unwinnable outcome, the one being that they were warned not to face, and far worse than ever expected.

This was an interesting area that they found themselves in, Glint looking upward then. The others were examining the area and as the elevator came down, started to prepare their weapons. But upon seeing who had stepped out of it had to admit that they had drawn the short straw, save for Glint himself. He was still looking upward, but lowered his gaze after a few moments. It was funny how even those with Gate wouldn't mind seeing the man humbled from time to time. It was that rare of a feat. And in return to the single red eye that glared them down, a single golden one shimmered from beneath his own helmeted head. Even Vile's previous information was meddlesome to say the least. It looked like he wasn't slacking off in the time that had passed as well. And all the same, Glint was the first to speak amongst them.
"The one who refutes defeat, the one filled with such zeal. I'll be honest as well, we were told not to engage with you... but I was hoping to have the encounter all the same."
An almost palpable pressure washed over the area. It wasn't one of excitement or anything like that, but rather anticipation. This was off course from their objective by a long shot, but... this was good. It gave them a bit of a preview of what was to come. It showed that the ones here were just as they thought, different than the rest. Which made it all the better that he was the one to engage with him right here and now.
"Because I have some things I want to test against someone like you. Because there are few that I can do that with so readily. You know what to do."
Glint knew full well what he was capable of personally. What he could and could not do. But because he knew that is what made this engagement one that he personally desired. Not because he sought to defeat this foe, because victory took many different shapes. The other five stepped back, several gun barrels spawning from Glint's wrists. They knew their positions, and Glint would engage in this battle now. Because even if this was the Hero among Villains... he was a wall that could present itself before them at any time. A wall that he would work on here and now.

Vile laughs under his breath as his single, red eye glows from the shadows of his helmet. His very presence was almost overwhelming, as if this is the one Navi fated to end all of the plans and machinations of the forces that he now stands defiantly against; out manned, out gunned, yet more than capable of meeting the challenge that lies before him; possibly even exceed it.
Vile: Test? You must be some kind of fool to think that you can cut your teeth against me, big guy...
The red eye of the sinister hero flashes and his cannon drops level with Glint, matching artillery with artillery.
Vile: ...because I'd sooner cut your neck!
Just as he'd said, Vile's cannon sparks to life and fires with a flash, releasing a gigantic crescent blade that spins along its trajectory, reaching Glint's position in a moment before stopping in mid-air and cutting away like a buzz-saw for prolonged, continuous damage. While this occurs, Vile takes a hard, sharp dash to his left, causing the thrusters on his feet to spark wildly. While still moving, Vile reaches his hand out towards Glint and begins peppering him with a wide-spray of vulcan-fire from each of his finger-tips before finally leaping into the air over the war-mech, bending his knee, and assailing him from above with a jet of super-heated flames from the open portion of his leg, sweeping across Glint with a show of blinding light and searing heat while the massive crescent blade still spins in place before landing on the opposing side.

He wasn't kidding about the cutting his neck part. Glint replied by lifting his left arm, twin blades forming in place of several of the guns from before to meet the crescent blade. As it began to spin like a buzz-saw the sparks flew from the clash in spectacular fashion, a burst of propulsion made Glint dash back before he made a hard dash to the right in contrast to Vile's left dash and around the cutting weapon, the sparks further lighting up their battlefield as his right arm was raised level with Vile now. Returning fire with a salvo of his own at the vulcan-fire, they were array of shots that alternated between raw energy and plasma, heat rounds, and regular ammunition. And then Vile took to the air and over him, getting swept up in the raw heat that was unleashed from on high. The sinister hero was a walking arsenal all his own, much like himself.
But the golden light flared through even the wildfire that he was engulfed inside of. And a fierce, frigid wind erupted from his body akin to a blizzard. But to the keen eye it was clear what started it all off, as Glint had something that looked akin to a vent on his right waist. From it had actually been a surge of water to drive the flames off that were then touched by one of the swords on his left arm that took on a cyan hue. From there, it had turned into the blades of ice and fierce wind that propelled them toward Vile now. And on his left shoulder was a cannon of his own, white lightning crackling around it before it let out a first and then a second blast of the very same white lightning hurtling clean at Vile. And with another flare of his own boosters, Glint took off the ground and into the air, several missiles launching from his back and down toward Vile in what appeared to be an attempt to carpet bomb the relentless hunter.

During the clash, Vile quickly begins to take stock of Glint's powers VS his own. While strafing the silver giant, he'd had to make several swift evasive actions. The war-mech's own vulcans and the variety of other weapons outclassed Vile's own in this sense, generally muting his own munitions fire while dealing little in kind. Glint had a definite advantage in that regard. The water and ice was a bit of a surprise, but not terribly difficult to deal with for now, as Vile pulls the V-shaped shield from his back and repels the surge of blades and ice falling from above. From behind this shield, Vile gets a solid vantage-point on the next move at hand and quickly kneels with the shield still raised, once again detaching the lower half of his leg to reveal the barrels hidden in his leg-armor. Just as Glint fires, Vile releases a single shell from his leg that explodes into a dark blue cluster of energy orbs that cover Vile and mute the oncoming bolt, allowing his shield to take the last of it. And then comes the payload of missiles...
...this was where Vile would outshine his competitor.
Quickly dropping his shield while still kneeling, Vile reaches his left hand to his right, removing his forearm entirely and revealing yet another hidden barrel. Raising the stump, he takes aim at Glint and takes aim, rapid-firing a set of small, green rockets. The rockets fly forward at a respectable speed for a moment... then they split. And split, and split. Each rocket breaks into 5, meaning within a few seconds Glint is facing down what seems like 100 small rockets coming it at odd angles in a returned artillery fire barrage of massively chaotic magnitude. Glint's own carpet-bombing attempt doesn't even get half way to the ground before it's muted by Vile's return-fire, and even then the rockets just keep coming and coming while Vile makes his next ploy.
Vile: Didn't take you for the speedy flying type.
Vile brings his cannon up, looking to Glint as he puts his hand on the barrel. Just then, a single bomb that had been released from Vile's leg during the rocket barrage finishes bouncing into place below the war-mech, allowing it to explode. However, this isn't a normal explosion; instead, a violent tornado erupts beneath Glint and roars skyward, wreaking constant damage from below as Vile fires his main weapon. From his cannon, an absolutely massive laser, omni-present along its trajectory, screams into existence and pierces the heart of the tornado, taking in most of the cyclone with its extensive spread and burning power.

Vile's weapon of choice absolutely outclassed the one he used against him then. Honestly it would be difficult to discern what could come out next, but that just meant that he would have to utilize the tools afforded to him well in kind. He aimed his wrist guns first, planning to at least return fire to mute out most of the rockets in kind. But with their trajectories he hadn't managed to catch them all and was caught in the bombardment in enough time to certainly not register the bomb that had been launched beneath him. But Glint had spoken up, though his voice was probably drowned out by the violent tornado that now engulfed him in a constant swarm of damage.
"That's because I'm not."
As Vile prepared to fire his main cannon, he would notice two things then... there were two more of Glint on the field. One had been where he had started the battle at, the other where he had finished his dash before he had taken to the air. And each had their own payloads primed and ready, both firing with the lightning cannon from before. The shots this time turned violet while in flight, arcing into an array of eight bolts that planned to slam into Vile. But rather than dissipate on contact, they would aim to hold him in place for but a few moments given his strength of character. Both aimed with their arms and unleashed the salvo of rounds upon him as his shot pierced the cyclone, erupting loudly as it tore through the field and sky.
And be it the first or the third Glint, he had been caught in the blast. There was a brief flicker around him as a result, the man having been sent even further back as a result and eventually managing to drag himself a bit downward from the beam. Though notably, the massive being had some singe marks left over as a result, the same marks reflected on the other two that were acting separately of him. But at this height it should be fine to utilize them, calling to his hands the two guns he had used against NapalmMan in their previous battle as well. He fired with the left first, a yellow sphere being released that stopped mid-flight and instead released a great pulling force, aiming to lift Vile up and drag him toward Glint as he started his advance back toward the ground, firing the right next. The shot from this one however was nothing but a show of raw force, completely outclassing the previous weaponry that was unleashed by Glint during this fight.

Vile curses under his breath, obviously angered as he notices the extra two Glints on the field. The war-mech had already proven that most of his arsenal could outclass Vile's own in terms of raw power, which made the sudden increase in directions that said arsenal was coming from particularly annoying. Reaching back for his shield, the still-kneeling Vile sends out yet another set of bursts from his leg-cannon, largely muting Glint's triune onslaught, but not entirely by any means. The lightning in particular surges through Vile's shield and into his body, causing his entire form to shake in pain from the burst of unexpected damage, while the cannon-fire forces him back on his feet, very obviously straining his entire body to fight against the military-grade force. it's not until the salvo of artillery begins that Vile drops his kneeling position and thrusts both of his legs forward, dashing backwards on his back before planting his left hand and righting his trajectory while taking a sharp arc to the right while maneuvering back.
This is the moment that Glint fired the gravitational orb. Vile could feel the effects of it, and could see Glint taking aim. The minute second before the next attack gives Vile the time that he needs, and a plan is formed. Instead of avoiding, Vile dashes with all of his speed directly towards Glint, making a mad-dash towards the titanic walking arsenal. As he dashes, he positions himself in such a way that he's exactly in line with both the spacial anomaly and Glint, as if he intends to tear through the attack at the last possible moment. He continues this path until the moment that the devastating flash comes from Glint's main weapon.
Timing it perfectly, Vile flips towards the ground, raises his cannon, and fires a single shot. This shot is, however, entirely unlike any he'd released so far. Instead of a laser, a blade, or a burst of plasma, the shot comes out as a blanketing pulse of omni-present power. There is no range, there is no spread. As if at light-speed, the burst attacks Glint and all of his compatriots at the exact same time, attacking with only meager power, but in a manner and speed that's realistically impossible to evade. And this burst of death is exactly the opening force that Vile needs. The recoil of the burst sends Vile flying off to the side at break-neck speed, causing him to orbit around the initial gravitational burst just in time to largely evade the cannon-fire. Amid the blast, Vile's left shoulder and the yet unused rocket launcher are seared by Glint's assault, literally shearing away the weapon and armor like paper while forcing Vile to spin far more than he'd wanted to initially. But at this point, that didn't really matter.
Vile had guessed the situation right, and had not only evaded Glint's volley, but was now also in a perfect orbit around the orb that the war-mech had fired. An orbit that leads him directly towards the staggering power-house.
Vile: I know.
Thanks to the betrayal of force of Glint's own attack, Vile closes the gap in a matter of a split second, arcing in on the war-mech from above with his fist held tight. As he spins, he holds his right arm with his left and takes aim. At the closest possible point to Glint himself, Vile's clenched fist shines with a golden tone and fires off from his arm. The range on this unorthodox attack is terribly short, traveling possibly a foot from Vile's own position. However, the raw power behind it easily dwarfs anything that Vile had shown before now; in this short-ranged rocket punch, what could very well be an unstoppable force is released at insane speed aimed directly at Glint's head with all of the malice and zeal that Vile had long been infamous for

His assault was making solid ground against the rogue hunter, though Vile was by no means lying down and taking it from him either. The golden eye narrowed slightly then. Vile's option of moving toward the force rather than attempt to escape it was a sound decision for sure. He misjudged the speed of the mad dash however as Vile aligned himself with the gravitational orb, he had expected him to try to tear clean through it. Instead he had done the aerial maneuver to flip beneath and unleash that pulse, one that didn't cause Glint himself to flinch given the power behind it, but had caught the others by surprise still and shook them a bit. And gave Vile the momentum to mostly evade the attack rather than take it in full as desired. The others looked like they wanted to act then, but they could see in Glint's eye that not just yet. Vile wasn't someone they could tread lightly with, and a mistake could cost them dearly if they did exactly that.
And combined with the force of that shot Vile had covered the distance between them and got in a good angle to make his next move. He was expecting another volley of some kind, yet instead a rocket-powered fist was propelled at his head instead and dwarfed Vile's previous attacks much like Glint himself had done moments before. Glint's right arm began to move, but it was too late instead as the fist struck Glint's head directly, propelling him down to the ground at immense speed as he hit in a matter of seconds as the gravitational sphere flickered out of existence. But at the same moment that Glint hit the ground a similar blast, but somewhat stronger than last time from before came forth from behind Vile rather than from the front.
And it was apparent why Glint's right arm had moved earlier, what appeared to be a gaping hole left vacant where it had been left level with. He had opened the pocket and fired inside of it as Vile's attack was unleashed upon him, the space reopening behind him and firing on Vile. But given the alignment, it would have struck Glint as well had he not been struck by the devastating force just now. But in actuality he saw the situation as more an eye for an eye. It took a moment, but Glint stood up from the ground, the left side of his helmeted head caved in. And yet the look in his eye hadn't wavered from the start.
Rather than aim at Vile the war-machine planted the barrel of both of his cannons to the ground, pulling the trigger as pillars of lava and magma erupted forth before acting akin to a viper and homing in on Vile. Another larger cannon formed on his other shoulder to pair with the one he had before, lightning erupting from the left and a cyclone erupting from the right. They would all meet together to form a storm of their own, of flames, lightning, and cutting winds alike.
And as if returning the favor from earlier, the other two Glints aimed the left and right cannons he held in hand, firing them alongside the ones on his wrist as the volley was unleashed alongside two overwhelming shots, piercing through the heart of the storm and taking most of it along with it for their triune onslaught.

Vile relishes the moment when Glint is dropped to the ground by his short-ranged rocket punch, and takes full advantage of the short duration of the blow to instantly follow up with-
....fully unprepared, Vile is suddenly launched into the ground like a meteor not far from Glint, taken entirely off guard by the sneak-attack from behind. He'd kept the strange clones in mind, but this attack was definitely not expected. However, the damage taken from the initial blast was actually relatively weak due to the fact that Vile's shield had been hanging off of his back while not in use. The impact that follows, however, does hurt. Vile tumbles near the edge of the light and at the feet of one of the invaders standing ready. An invader that instantly get shot a paralyzing "try it" gaze from the red eye that beams out from the shadow of the rogue Navi's helmet.
Rather than dash away this time, Vile takes back to his feet and holds up his shield once again, bracing against the onslaught that was to come. Seeing the merged strike coming, the maverick Navi drops his cannon and begins to charge for a moment before sending out a dark blue tornadic beam of energy in a constant pulse. Meeting with Glint's own fury, the beam collides with the incoming super-strike, muting the attack while it itself is muted by the oncoming onslaught. The two strikes come to a stale-mate, but Vile, not being one to let a clash end in anything but his own favor, takes advantage of his kneeling position by releasing a massive gout of green flames from his knee that arcs up above the storm of power and rains down onto Glint in a storm of super-heated plasma.
But all good things must come to an end, and Vile quickly realizes that Glint's onslaught would have more staying power than his own. Kicking back again, Vile takes off from his position and releases Glint's salvo. The raw power lands right where he had been just a moment before and tosses Vile away once again, causing him to tumble away but quickly rise.
By this point, Vile was beginning to show the wear of battle. His armor was scufed, charred, and dented in palces, his shoulder rocket-launcher had been completely destroyed, and his body was sparking from the damage. But his spirit, his indomitable drive of no equal, drives him on endlessly.
Vile: It's still not enough! I will not lose here, I will not let you beat me!
Vile's anger was beginning to flare, and Glint's opposition was getting stronger. With a powerful leap and the flash of his boosters, Vile goes from standing to break-neck speed instantly, leaping high into the sky while dropping a set of bullets from his leg-launcher. One by one they hit the ground and surge out into ball-lightning, spinning outwards in a cyclonic pattern and blanketing most of the ground as Vile stops at the apex of his jump and lays down a rapid-fire salvo of plasma shots like a machine gun, peppering Glint with burning, explosive bursts before releasing one final burst, one roughly five times the size of the others that he'd shot before. This deep purple burst of plasma screams towards Glint like a meteor and explodes into a small but hyper-intense burst of energy on impact while Vile makes land-fall at Glint's side, releasing another vulcan-fire blast from his fingertips. However, this time the artillery used is far more powerful than the previous, hitting in a very wide spread around Glint as Vile takes notes of his opponents position and movements, as well as the two copies still on the field.

As Vile landed and they saw what they thought to be an opening, Vile's look alone was enough to paralyze and deter that very action. It was like he was a navi possessed of something unreal, how just his raw spirit could accomplish such a feat all on its own. It caused them to step back, in time to avoid the onslaught that Glint had sent at Vile at the time. Glint himself was surprised that even in a clash of that degree that Vile would still find the time to have it end favorably for him, the gout of super-heated flames swallowing him up for a moment before the vortex of water was released, but not freezing this time. The blade that he was using that did that had seen better days, detaching from his wrist as it dematerialized. They had managed to effectively trade blows then, but just like his own eye showed his drive to succeed, he could feel the exact same from Vile himself. He could almost say that he wouldn't be surprised if Vile was possessed of even more drive than he was. But that thought itself drove him to push even harder instead as the golden eye seemed to brighten then. There was too much at stake for him to fall. More than simply a matter of pride or anything remotely close to that. If he was defeated here, then that failure would be at the cost of far too many others. And of that he could not allow.
"If that isn't enough then I will give you more. Because there's too much riding on all of us for me to lose here. If you continue to stand, then I'll continue to strike until you no longer can. Until I no longer can."
The cannons on his shoulders lifted up and reversed, going to his back instead as they opened up and flared to life. Instead the lightning and winds served akin to an additional set of boosters now, leaving behind a trail of lightning-charged wind in its wake as he kicked his feet back in front of him, dashing backward first as Vile's assault began. Even with this however Vile would still be right on him, Glint returning fire at the salvo that was unleashed with his own wrist cannons. The trail that he was leaving behind was slowing the ball-lightning that would have caught up to him, but the final larger shot managed to tear through the barrage that Glint had let loose on his own salvo rather than managing to mute it out. He had managed to narrowly avoid direct impact from the meteor-like shot, but the explosion caused him to be launched aside as he spun, managing to right himself with the additional boosters at his disposal.
But it was just in time for Vile to land beside him and unleash the much heavier vulcan fire from his fingertips. As it continued to pepper him, Vile keeping track of the rest of the opposition let him see the two copies of Glint fade out, the original Glint himself visibly vibrating as they did. And it was here that he made his move, his boosters erupting with a force that was at least triple their original pace, rocketing off to the side of the barrage as he circled around Vile. It was as though Vile was at the eye of a tornado as Glint blurred around him, the lightning and wind left behind rising higher and higher to box him inside of the wall that was growing smaller as Glint unleashed his full arsenal as he flew around him. The first was the spatial anomaly from earlier as the gravitational force was shot somewhat above him, instead releasing a force to weigh him down in an attempt to push him against the ground rather than drag him upward. And much like the sudden burst of speed, it had grown significantly stronger than last time as well.
The next was the flames followed by the lasers, plasma, and solid rounds that were all fired off along with the missiles from earlier, all following a similar trend as Glint sought to top off this relentless attack. Doing so by jumping upward as he soared at break-neck speed above the vortex in an instant, both of his main cannons in his right and left hands filled to the brim with a charge of energy, unleashing a blast downward that would blanket the field in its destructive force.

Vile's head turns from side to side as Glint makes his move, attempting to keep track of him before finally giving into the simple fact here; this was going to be a salvo from all directions. Spinning around, Vile begins releasing shot after shot from his leg cannon, most of them breaking into a familiar deep-blue cluster of attack-muting blasts while the maverick Navi takes his shield in-hand and braces. When Glint's salvo begins, Vile holds his ground, dropping down as far as he can to guard while the orbs of energy mute as many side attacks as possible.
Then it begins. Like a deadly squall on a dark summer's day, Glint unleashes a devastating payload onto Vile's position while he himself is trapped in the cross-fire of a nearly omni-present opponent. Vile could do nothing more than weather the storm as best he could. Lightning, wind, flames, artillery; all and more pound Vile's position with frightening power.
But somehow he weathers it, for better or for worse.
As Glint takes his position on-high, Vile rips his shield off to the side, revealing that he had not survived the assault unscathed. His armor was now widely charred and damaged, dented and outright broken across his body. His entire form was now sparking as his frayed armor cracks from the strain of battle. He stands, battered and beaten by Glint's assault...
....but still his red eye shines through, burning from the shadow of his cracked helmet like the fires of hell through the night. Vile would not be defeated.
No more games, no more tactics. Vile's zeal was now boiling to the surface as he stands squarely under the gaze of Glint's insanely powerful vortex and does not flinch. His own shoulder-cannon flares to life once again, and another tremendous laser, omni-present along its trajectory and spread, meets Glint's own power in kind, stopping it cold in mid-air. Vile holds back Glint's onslaught with his full fury, but that fury does not stop there. Among the shells that he'd released defensively to guard against the tornado of damage were several others that he'd used earlier in the battle, and now is when they spring to life. With a burst, three dark violet cyclones erupt from the ground under Glint, once again delivering a constant rain of power against the war-mech as they scream skyward. At the same time, Vile positions his leg again and fires another gout of flames from beneath the meeting beams of power. However, this was not like the previous two; this bright blue snake of fire would burn through any water or ice shield that Glint may raise, being inextinguishable thanks to its own oxygenation properties, attempting to swallow Glint from below with sheer damage.
But Vile still wasn't done.
Fighting through damage that would kill any other Navi, and defying the odds that would crush even the greatest of heroes, Vile releases an enraged yell as he drops both of his arms to his sides and begins to release another barrage of rockts. Just as before, each one flies straight for a time then splits into 5 random trajectories, leaving only seconds before the sky is swarming with lost explosives. Some aim directly for Glint, but most others fly free through the sky with no target in mind.
Vile: All that's riding on me today is my own validation; your end.
...Vile suddenly breaks off his beam-struggle with Glint, looking through the oncoming cataclysmic blast as his arms fly back and re-attach themselves to him.
Vile: And there's nothing greater than that!
....and with that, the trap is sprung. Vile releases another omni-present laser blast, blanketing the entire field unavoidably with a pulse. The blast once again drives him back, allowing him to only be singed by Glint's onslaught, but at the same time it has a far more devastating effect in the sky above. Countless rockets flying free, swarming around Glint like hornets on the move, detonate in unison. With a towering explosion of white pain, Glint's position is swallowed entirely by the fury of Vile's sheer determination. A blast that turns night to day and shakes the network to its very core as the eye of the maverick himself looks on at the destruction wrought by his own hand.

Even in circumstances heavily stacked against him did Vile resist. He was fighting back and even as he was forced down, he still rose again. It was just as they were told honestly, no matter how they broke him down he would rise again to fight again and again. He was even driving back his assault now, causing Glint to consider his next move, something he... no, Vile had made his next move. Rather than one, it was three cyclones that engulfed Glint this time in a constant stream of force and would need to deal with it immediately if so. The back of his shoulders opened up, revealing a red orb in both of his shoulders that intensified its glow. The result was his newfound boosters increasing in their might even more to blast downward and mute out the three cyclones, but the result was that they both shut down for a time just as the fire was rising to meet him.
He had released the water, but the fire had gone clean through it, Glint's eye narrowing. Looked like Vile had countered it this time, which meant that he was ahead. So instead his shoulders opened in the front next as a red orb was in both, the orbs turning green as they released an air pocket to let the fire inside and closed around itself to let the fire burn itself out in due time. Then came the onslaught of rockets that continued to expand, filling the air as he used the boosters in his leg to slightly move while maintaining the beam struggle, leading the ones aimed at him at the air pocket as they shattered it and released the flame, meeting each other to let the flames cancel out the ones that flew into it and missing the ones that had missed him.
But Vile released the omni-present pulse again, pushing him out of the blast as he had before as it influenced what was happening in the air too. And combined with all the activity above, the network was shaken to its foundation by the erupted fury of Vile's attack. The other invaders looked on with some deal of concern given the display of strength that Vile was releasing.
"I can tell how much you've devoted to yourself. That validation, that victory... I can genuinely respect it. But my end, the end of Glint the Warborn... that senseless end of mine will have to be another day. Because now..."
Inside of the light, the golden light from Glint's own eye shined immensely. And the same barely noticeable flickering energy faded. It made sense with everything put together that Vile would be capable. And since he was, it meant that he would bring them to bear. The weaponry on his wrists were damaged, the ones in his hands equally so. But the ones in his hand crumbled apart into dust, the dust beginning to swirl and spiral as he held out his hands, a tear in the space appearing as he did.
"Come, Qliphoth Rhizome!"
From that space rose two weapons that landed in his hands as it closed. Two more cannons that looked rather plain in appearance, orange and white with spots of black dotting it. But the moment they fully came to bear the network trembled under their weight, something akin to what happened in Netopia and Electopia both now, yet even more than theirs. The finest weapons that Glint could bear in battle. He fired both in tandem, the energy released being green in color that spread far and wide like roots from a tree. Forming a massive network in the sky that eventually brightened to shine upon the network as a whole, the 'roots' began to release a terrifying rain down as from each and every inch was another laser released, blanketing the entirety of the field before and erupting again and again, the explosions rising higher and higher to eventually form what would look like a tree in the end.

...this time, Vile does nothing. Standing in his broken armor, Vile lowers his head slightly as his burning red eye trails off with a spark. He made no attempt to block or dodge, but rather stood with both arms at his side to the very end.
Vile: I don't need a fancy title to tell you how important I am...
...the beam, the destruction, the carnage. It all engulfs Vile as the tree of death plants its roots through his body, wreaking untold destruction and endless suffering. The network quakes, and all in its path parishes in the onslaught of it all. Devastation and woe comes to all that feel Glint the Warborn's power.
...but Vile is not a subject of woe.
Once again, against all odds, Glint is faced with resistance yet again! At the edge of the very beam of carnage that he uses to bring about an end to the battle, a massive flash begins to deflect the beam, parting it in six directions as it rapidly pushes through and towards Glint until, at last, a massive fist of steel breaks through the zero range of the weapon with the titanic force of a comet, compacting the air itself as it cuts through it all.
And there he stands. Vile, now visibly broken and down to bare-data in many parts, still stands before Glint! Every weapons system on his body is obviously critical, glowing with bugfrags from the sheer damage done and barely intact. His arms and legs bleed data profusely, and his helmet and breastplate are cracked so badly that it's amazing that they still even exist. And now Vile, the undefeatable hero of villians, leans with his shattered foot on the lip of a juggernaut. Already scorched and cracked from the raw force of Glint's own Qlipoth Rhizome stands Goliath; Vile's personal ride-armor. A weapon feared across the net for its reputation as the indestructible war machine.
Vile: ...because the ones that are too afraid to support you now, they will be my witnesses; they'll whisper my name in fear as the Navi who crushed them all! The Navi that killed you!
Vile's body should have deleted long ago, yet here he stands, still defying the might of Glint and all that he wields!

Against all odds, the maverick was still persisting as the fist came through to Glint's own surprise, taking the blow head on as he was forced back. The juggernaut spun in the air as he began his descent to the ground, righting himself as he landed in a kneeling position. Even he was somewhat stunned that Vile had managed to survive even that attack and call forth his Goliath. A machine that was the most fitting attachment to Vile himself with how indestructible he was proving to be all on his own. He was on the edge, and yet he refused to fall from that edge. He would hang on again and again, time after time. And with that war machine, it would take an even stronger push for that. It was almost beyond words, and yet Glint couldn't hide his own feelings either. To find someone like this with not just strength, but this force of will...
"You're possibly even more important than you realize..."
He knew not to hold everyone up to this standard. Not all of them could stand defiant against the worst of odds. Many would cower, many would flee or betray their own just to save themselves. But there were some who could stand and fight for their own reasons, be it for others, for the world, or even just to validate their own existence. But for those who were willing to display such devotion, it was enough to show Glint even more than he had given credit to. And it spurred him on even more than before. He let out a single breath, standing to his full height and tall.
"The fear that they feel is nothing to fault them for. In the face of an insurmountable wall, the emotions of fear well up and spring to life. Because of the danger to one's self, that they could be killed."
"But it's different for us."
Fear wasn't a motivator that functioned the same in either of them. Vile was fearless, while Glint himself used that fear in a different fashion. All he feared was his own inaction. Because if he failed to act, then that would be when things were truly over. Rather than fear what could be the end, he feared what could happen because he feared that demise. The cessation of existence. And because he understood how others felt about it, he would do what they could not. Until he no longer was able.
"Because the name I was given was for more than just importance."
Both had worn down many of their options at this point. And the Goliath on its own would void out several more by right that it was there. So he would have to use the ones that remained. Both had given their word, now came them upholding them. Vile's were heard, and Glint's own was that he would strike him until he no longer needed to. His shoulders opened in both the back and the front as the red gleamed, his newly called upon weapons seeming to pulse as he did. And it was here that he would fire them both once more. The green roots of the wicked weapon tearing through the space between them to leave zero space between them and the undefeatable. But it was here that the green turned to silver. And as the silver roots took place, they expand and grew to eclipse everything.
"Silver Key."
It was little more than a silent whisper in the cataclysm to follow. Rather than it become a titanic display of lasers like last time, it was simply an omnipresent eruption of unbridled force as even light itself was annihilated in the horrorific display of an attack. It felt like the explosion dragged on for eternity despite how brief and sudden it truly was, the golden eye burning on.

Vile sees Glint's power rising, an attack of cataclysmic power coming, and his lone reaction is to once again look on from beneath his brow in defiance, gazing from his sparking, red eye from the shadow of his beaten and cracked helmet
Vile: No; I'm more important than even you realize!
Just as he'd proven himself before, Vile takes the rising Armageddon of the shining tree of life and death head-on, bracing against the armored cockpit of the Goliath as he initiates another charge. This time, however, Glint's power proves to be too much to overcome in full. Vile's mech lists to the side mid-charge and loses momentum before reaching its target, causing the shoulder of the ride-armor to become outright scorched by the sheer power. Glaring through the light and power as he himself is bathed in the indirect force of tremendous magnitude, Vile scoffs and growls under his breath, ignoring the pain as he himself takes aim and fires another volley of plasma blasts from his shoulder cannon, but to no avail; Glint's masterful attack mutes every single attack poised against it as the final blast quakes the network, nearly shattering the right arm of the Goliath as Vile is sent reeling back on his ride-armor, planting hard near the onlookers at the end of the area.
By this point, Vile's body had sustained even more damage than before. In the center of his chest, his exposed core intermittently releases streams of burning hot plasma that pour off to the way-side, leaking energy from a seemingly infinite supply as Vile once again turns his defiant gaze to Glint with malice.
Vile: ...heh.... haha.... ha....
Even Vile's voice was glitching at this point, yet he still continues his endless onslaught, forcing the Goliath to its feet as it clenches its left fist and its right arm falls dead at its side.
Vile: You still don't get it... "Glint"...
If Vile's face were visible, it would be obvious that he was beaming a knowing smile to Glint.
Vile: All that you're fighting for can be destroyed; be it a thing, or just an ideal. Because when everyone who has that ideal is dead, then all of its meaning dies with them.
Vile laughs again, the fist of the Goliath tightening.
Vile: You're focused on that ideal, and that's the only reason that you're here today. Whatever it is, it's what brought to me. It's the baggage that keeps you from being what you could be... but me?
The Goliath reaches over and grips the right arm of its own chassis, gripping it with enough strength to crumple the fortified armor that remains like tin-foil before ripping the arm off of itself as Vile looks on.
Vile: My entire world is this battle; this moment! I don't care who you are, I don't care what you're trying to do...
The Goliath swigs the shattered arm across in a slashing movement, hurling it at Glint like a javelin.
Vile: ....because my victory is all that exists!
As the arm flies across the gap, its hand closes and morphs, transforming into a gattling gun as it wildly fires a set of armor-piercing bullets in a manner similar to a fully automatic shotgun. Behind it, a second hail of fire unloads and peppers Glint's position as Vile dashes forward while using the Goliath's remaining arm to unleash vulcan fire. Vile takes his place before Glint at the same moment that the thrown arm closes the gap, transforming the Goliath's remaining arm back into a fist and punching through the flying weapon and into Glint himself with a focused, earth-shattering blow. This is accompanied by a volley of plasma shots from Vile's cannon as the indomitable maverick slashes back the fist of the Goliath and slams it back towards Glint again, and again, and again; unleashing a one-armed, dashing combination of crushingly powerful punches, attempting to outright destroy Glint's armaments as he targets every weapon that he can see on the war-mech's body.
