Without even looking the beast raised a hand to his back to stop the axe. He didn't struggle at all this time, even with the thing digging into his arm. It snapped the thing without even breaking a sweat, no pain. No reaction. Nothing. The beast had its eyes locked onto the opponent. Programs don't get tired. Programs do not feel pain. All but useless limitations that would just hold him back. Hold its power back.
Suddenly, the Gregar Zoanoroid wasn't where he was supposed to be. Instead, the beast appeared behind PuppetMan already in the motion of kicking the guy pu in the air. Just like the many before him the zoanoroid could immediately LockOn onto his prey and use all of Gregar's speed to execute them on the spot. All in all, just a kick was somewhat of a blessing considering what else could have been done. It wouldn't feel that great, though, considering his feet paws already had sharp claws that would only get sharper as the beast took hold of the navi's body.
It couldn't really see them that clearly, but he felt that guy's strings trying to sap its power. Throwing his hand forward he would grab onto anything it could feel and swing the full arc all the way to the ground behind him. That would take care of those wires and smash his opponent into solid hard rock. Now on all fours and digging into the dirt with its claws, the beast's right arm turned into a buter that immediately spooled up like any SuperVucan would. With an earth shattering roar (literally) the beast strafed the entire area in his view in a hail of lead, regardless of the success of his tug.
It showed no mercy. It showed just an insatiable thirst of destruction. The area was beginning to glitch from the heavy damage sustained and the bresence of one of the many Avatars of Gregar. But it wouldn't stop. Oh no.
It wanted broken bones. It wanted blood.
It wanted death.

As the shadow axe was shattered, PuppetMan's eyes went wide with shock; the durability of the axe was proportional to the power of the shadow it came from to a degree, and the Gbeast had shattered it so easily. If the zoanoroid before him was strong enough to do that, what was going to happen to PuppetMan? Memories of a bygone era began surging through the navi's mind at blinding speed. After 500 years of existence, PuppetMan had gotten rather skilled at sifting through his memories in a hurry. Unfortunately, it also meant reliving the very pain he'd seeked to forget with this skirmish.
That tiny window was more than enough for the ultra-fast Gbeast to move behind the petite navi and punt him into the air like a human would a ball. PuppetMan was easily sent flying from the force of the attack, but was for the most part uninjured thanks to his aura from before. Alas, the strike was still enough for the aura to fade almost immediately after.
PuppetMan was in a dire pinch when he saw Nightshade - if the beast in front of him could even be called that navi - reach for the threads PuppetMan had attached earlier. Luckily for PuppetMan, such a strategy had grown common over time when facing him, and as such he'd developed a countermeasure: from the tips of PuppetMan's finger emerged small, sharp claws, no bigger than a toothpick, which severed the strings at his end. All the Gbeast swung was threads, which quickly faded to nothingness.
It was clear to the navi that his opponent had absolutely no intention of doing anything other than attacking him. This was likely to be the only saving grace PuppetMan would get in this fight. Quickly forming more strings and connecting them to his puppets, PuppetMan maneuvered them to flank his opponent at a distance; distance would matter little against a navi this fast, but at least it would prevent him from taking out both in a single strike.
An earth-shattering roar (literally) was the only reason PuppetMan knew an attack was coming, but without his auras and barriers, PuppetMan could only attempt to dodge the shots while continuing to manipulate his puppets; sadly, short legs and quick speed can only provide so much evasion, and within a short period, the Gbeast's aim was impossible to avoid.
Still, PuppetMan had no intention of going down easily. While his body began regenerating from the damage, a pull of a finger and a small flash of the number upon each puppet's head was the only visual queue his opponent would get that PuppetMan was making his counterattack. From the serpentine puppet, floating above at Nightshade's 5 o'clock position, came three overlapping blades of wind, while from the bestial puppet, standing at Nightshade's 7 o'clock position, came a large orb of digital lava, which the puppet hurled at the zoanoroid. Hopefully this simultaneous attack from blind spots would do something of use against the powerful navi...

The blows connected into a massive blast. However, the beast did not seem to be in any kind of pain. His body was burned, yes, but the Avatar of Greiga simply didn't care. Machines don't feel pain.
Instead, it roared again. Arching its shoulders backwards for a deep breath, the beast responed to fire with fire. Well, a kind of fire really. It heavily glitched everything it touched. That would be very bad news for any navi.
While the world burned, the beast seemed to be scheming something. Probably a way to kill the opponent for good. So many options...

PuppetMan was worried about the fire, but still had a few tricks up his sleeve. As he began collecting power once again, PuppetMan pulled another shadowy blade from underneath Nightshade; this time, however, it was instead a sword that formed, and instead of behind the zoanoroid, the sword emerged from right underneath! While the blade formed, PuppetMan recalled his puppets, bringing them back to his sides while the three retreated from the buggy flames, looking for a moment to either move back in or to even just get over the strange flames without harm. PuppetMan was lucky that his opponent kept giving him brief window to recover...

The thing that PuppetMan probably didn't expect was the beast walking through its own attack. The beast emerged from the bugged flames, quickly clawing at the puppets to swat them away from its target. the avatar of Greiga would then pounce onto the opponent, trying to pin them down onto the ground by impaling them onto it with its own claws. His buster arm would instead be devoted to shred any puppet the beast would have a clear shot on. Apparently, the zoanoroid was somewhat slowed down by the shadow sword in his shoulder. Snapping the thing and pulling it out would give the oppoent precious seconds to use in their favor.
But the beast would not yield. Oh no. It was but getting started. It wanted more. It will claim that navi's soul.

PuppetMan was hurled to the ground, arms at his side as his puppets also fell. Pinned by sharp claws, PuppetMan could feel his code being ripped apart. What was it going to take to stop this thing? The thought echoed loudly in his mind as he desperately looked for something - anything - that the small navi could take advantage of.
And then he saw it. Puncturing through the navi's torso and out his back was the shadow blade from before. Knowing he'd only have one chance, PuppetMan lined up his foot before kicking the shadow blade's hilt, pushing the blade further into his foe and hopefully off of him. As he did, a familiar sense finished gathering in his hand...

The beast did not flinch as the shadow blade was driven further into its shoulder. Pressing down with all its weight to compensate the arm it couldnt use quite well, the beast's blood red eyes were mere inches from Puppetman.
Growling, snarling, the zoanoroid pushed his claws further into his opponent, be it its leg's or arms'. The beast was excitedly devious, smelling the fear of its opponent.
"You wish...to be a predator...yet you're beneath me."
the beast's tail shot forward like a bullet with full intention of impaling itself through one of Puppetman's hands and into the ground.
"Success is measured in blood. Your or your enemy's. It's kill...or be killed. And right now you can't kill anyone even if you tried."

It was in that single moment of hubris that PuppetMan struck. Releasing strings from his right hand, he formed a shield of strings that instantly transformed into a single-hit barrier, deflecting the tail. Hoping this would create a moment's distraction, PuppetMan unleashed the built up energy in his left hand, sending strings puncturing through the navi's limbs. At the same moment, an axe of shadows emerged and swung from behind! Finally, PuppetMan delivered a kick to the shadow sword once more, hoping the three-pronged attack would land.

While the beast didn't flinch to was forced off of its prey to avoid being cleaved in half. Rolling twice then back on all fours, the avatar of Gregar pulled out the sword inisde its shoulder. Goog thing it was the left arm the one he couldn't use that well.
Using the Buster again, the beast aimed at both puppets with clear intent of destroying them both.
