1 judge Version Bonuses off 2 intro posts 10 battle posts Side Note: OP isn't totally fleshed out =============================================== [Intro Post 1]
"Can someone get me some coffee, and explain to me what's going on one more time?" A young adult male asked, with a bad case of bed head and still wearing what he wore to bed- some sweatpants and a t-shirt. He had been called late at night by one of his father's assistants who told him that "it" was finally ready. "It" was apparently a net navi that his grandfather had, before passing on, taken it upon himself to bring back online.
He didn't really know anything about it, too busy being out on his own and trying to manage his gym. But he stopped being privy to any knowledge gathered by his father's company for opting out of it in the first place. He didn't want to be tied down so soon, and wasn't even sure what exactly he wanted to do. But his grandfather left him the navi in his will. And that was the first time he even learned of the navi. But the navi wasn't "finished" yet according to the people working with his grandfather. So he didn't think much of it at the time. But that was a couple years ago.
Even now that he ran a chain of gyms (which was supplied with equipment by his father's company) he had forgotten about it until now. And here he was, going to meet this navi for the first time. Lab techs were explaining to him the work that had apparently gone into it, which he was having a hard time understanding and processing at the same time as waking up. Up until now he only used a very simple and basic Netnavi in his day to day. Some of the details about the netnavi sounded rather absurd- like his original height being over twenty feet tall. What mad man would design a net navi that big?
After some last minute details were sorted out, he was now watching a screen displaying a hulking figure clad in glossy, white-silver armor plating over what looked like a dark grey stone body. Even sitting down, the stone goliath would be atleast be AS tall as he was if not taller, sitting down. "Can he hear me?" He asked curiously, a tech nodded in response and opened an audio/video channel. "Hey..." He said warily, totally unsure how to go about this.
Golem didn't respond, not even looking up at the screen that was now floating just slightly above his eye level. He was awake. Why? Why was he awake again? How long had he been inactive? Why did it seem like he was closer to the ground than before? It was at that moment that Golem's head moved, his glowing eyes mechanically scanning where he was. For all intents and purposes, it was a server designed to resemble a sterile testing chamber. It was a very, BIG testing chamber. There were no active threats, so he was in no rush to get out. He wasn't sure if he needed to. "Not much of a talker are you?" Golem's new operator spoke again, and it dawned on Golem that the human had actually been trying to talk to him on and off for a minute or two.
Golem's gaze finally fell on the screen floating by him. "You probably have a lot of questions. We'll try to answer some of them. But for now, it looks like we're going to be partners," The Human continued now that he had his attention. Partners? Golem had nothing significant to gain from a partnership with a human that he could not otherwise accomplish on his own. So what did this human hope to gain? "Maybe even friends if we get to know each other better," he added. Golem still didn't respond, simply watching. The human looked away for a moment and Golem could hear another voice vaguely.
"So they're telling me that they need test one more thing before we can get out of here. Since you're designed for fighting, they want to gauge how strong you are," the human told him. Golem's posture straightened more at these words. Fighting? His "heart" seemed to pump slightly faster at the prospect of fighting. But why? He remembered getting into battles before, and his chains would suppress him. But he was no longer bound by his chains. "They've hired another netnavi to come in and spar with you. They should be arriving shortly as a matter of fact," the human finished with growing anticipation.
Golem's systems almost immediately picked up on another presence, prompting him to turn his attention to the opposite side of the big, open and featureless room...

Tip tap tip tap. The sound of claws lightly scraping against the hard floor echoed throughout the test area. "A big one, uh? Look at that. Such gargantuan size." The navi commented, stopping by at the other side of the room. Seeing as that mountain of data was talking to someone, Nightshade simply waited it out. With one of his hands on his hip and the other lightly scratching his helmet, he scanned the area with his deep blue eyes.
Standing just a little taller than 6 feet, the navi had a slim body clad in a black undersuit that covered up everything up to the guy's nose, ending with a face mask. Neon green markings riddled the black cloth, seemingly glowing as the light of the room reflected off of them. The most intresting detail out of everything would be the navi's armor. Grey in color and a tight fit, it did not seem to be made with any sort of metal like material. Everything looked...rubbery. Like the guy was wearing thick yet smooth slick rubber instead of a more common metal plating. The reason of that weird armor setup was unknown.
Another fun detail was the navi looking like...a cat person. From the design of the helmet to the thin tail waving around in slow arcs. The boots the guy was wearing even had an open toed design to allow a set of claws on the guy's feet to safely poke out without ruining them.
Nightshade tilted his head slightly as the twenty feet tall navi turned around and made eye contact. He was curious to see just what this whole ordeal was about.

[Intro 2] ((He's actually 12 feet now. He was originally twenty something feet tall XD)) =============================
Golem was still in a cross-legged sitting position. All that had changed was he was now looking in the direction of his sparring partner. "..." was Golem's typical response. Golem was about the same height as the other netnavi sitting down. Golem hadn't seen too many navis during his time, due to going inactive so frequently. But there was something immediately... different about this one.
His operator meanwhile, looking over the other netnavi, was simply trying to assess what they were capable of. Golem was clearly big, durable, and probably packed one hell of a punch. But being so big and bulky could prove to be a disadvantage, especially since the other netnavi looked more catlike. Golem's Operator wasn't in the same room so wouldn't be able to detect what Golem was picking up though. "You may know better than me. But your size might be an issue," Golem's Operator commented.
A lab tech then came on and gave alittle spiel thanking the netnavi for participating, and that they'd get paid after the testing was completed. Golem meanwhile, brought himself to his feet until he was standing up with his arms supporting him up. Golem was doing some assessing himself, and felt a deep burning within that was begging to be let out. He couldn't remember when the last time he felt like this was, only that he did at one point feel this way. But it was a blur after that. "Anomaly..." Golem intoned in a deep, gruff but mechanical tone of voice as he stared at Nightshade intently.

"...Uh...what a guy..." Nightshade huffed, folding his arms and giving off a cocky posture as he smirked under the mask. "He figured it out as soon as he looked at me. I mean, I do give off that kind of aura, but I was trying to surprise people. Either way, I'm here for a fun fight. If you're fine going up against something like me, then let's begin. I'll let you have the first shot...uuuh...whatever...your name...is...you look cute though. Kinda like those things you can hug at carnivals..."
The cat zoanoroid transitioned into the battle stance he was most comfortable with. Nightshade's tail twitched with anticipation. This was going to be a fight to remember. With how the other guy looked, he might even need to use that form...

[battle 1] ============================================
The audio feed was still on, so anyone currently watching the fight would be able to hear Nightshade. He liked to talk. Pride went before a fall as the saying went, and through his past experiences. But none of that mattered to Golem, whose joints ground together like heavy machinery as he adjusted his own stance. Shifting his weight, Golem dug his new metallic claws into the floor, making it buckle beneath him seconds before he suddenly sprang forward. Someone of his size should not have been able to move THAT fast.
Once he touched back onto the ground, he immediately tucked himself in and curled up into a metallic ball- a metal ball with large metal spikes. Golem's body did not lose much speed in the transition, the spikes on his back creating sparks as they cut through the floor while Golem sped toward Nightshade. But then he suddenly unfurled, and jumped up into the air. This was followed by a pair of chains that ended in a spike launching from his sides, digging into the ground on either side of Nightshade. The chains tried to retract, causing Golem to instead pull himself down straight toward Nightshade...

Nightshade could barely contain his excitement. The guy was so...exotic looking. That armor of his was so shiny and cool. He wondered if he could get a copy of the guy's Armor.bat after the fight was over.
He was ready to tackle the rolling ball of death coming at him. Balling up his hands into fists and just tightening his grip was enough. Shink...and a pair of metallic claws extended from his knuckles forward. He winced lightly. He still wasn't used to them being part of his body yet. Still, it was much more practical than having them attached to his old gauntlets. The beauty of being basically the only bugfrag eating navi. Boi did those things taste good. Sure, he had mutated somewhat since the time he had eaten his first one. But in the end he liked his new old powers just the way they are.
However, he did not foresee what the opponent would do next. His eyes darted left, then right, as the chained spears hooked the ground at his sides. Returning his gaze at the bulky huge warrior uptop, he understood perfectly. Getting squashed like a fly would mean bad things. Who knew just how much the guy would actually weight.
Just at the very last possible second, the cat navi would safely evade Golem smashing the ground with a fluid and elegant backflip. Nightshade would then gracefully land on top of the thick layer of water that had formed just moments before Golem jumped. It looked like the cat navi had a few hidden tricks in his sleeves. He could change the stage to ocean pannels it seemed. By the look of how easy it was for the cat to walk and move ontop of water, it was clear that was his natural element.
"You know...I like the design of your armor. I want one just like yours."
Not even a second later and Nightshade would immediately be right in Golem's face. The tall hulking navi was fast, but he was way faster. The cat zoanoroid tried to use his metallic claws to swipe in a X shape right on Golem's chest.

[Battle 2] Some more moozik. ===================================== And then Golem's massive frame came hurling down into the ground, assisted by his chains pulling him down even faster. The ground immediately around Golem caved in, with the outer most part of the metal floor screeching from the impact by the giant. There now seemed to be water, which was fortunately not deep enough for Golem to be fully submerged. Though there seemed to be some kind of... distortion immediately around Golem's body that seemed to be keeping him dry. Golem turned around to face Nightshade in time to meet the claws swiping at his chest, ignoring what damage they may have caused and simply retaliating with a backhanded swing of his arm for the smaller navi's torso. Golem's arm was definitely big enough to just bat a navi of Nightshade's size away. This was followed up by Golem releasing his chains again, aiming for the ceiling this time. Once the chains dug in, he pulled himself up and out of the water and landed against the ceiling with another thunderous impact. This time Golem hung there, his hands suddenly morphing into what looked like metallic blasters before he took aim and started firing off brilliant flashes of light at Nightshade from his vantage point.

Nightshade's eyes widened as his attack was simply shaken off with ease. So that armor wasn't just for show. The wind was knocked out of him as soon as he got slapped away and into the furthest wall of the arena. Thankfully, that was when his tight fit rubber armor came into play. While not as affective against cutting attacks, Nightshade's rubberized and padded body was very much capable of shaking away those kinds of impacts.
He looked over to the human that called him. Why wasn't he operating? Was he trying to see what his new navi could do alone?
"Hey, why so quiet? I can respect those kind of guys...but come on! Light up a little! We're trying to have fun!"
The cat navi hopped off the wall and extended his hand forward. A black sphere phased out of nowhere and dropped in his hand. Like a major league pitcher, Nightshade threw the small ball at Golem. The ball would suddenly glow red hot and explode in a whirpool of flame as soon as it made contact with anything. An impact bomb of sorts.

[Battle 3] =======================================
Golem's Operator was more silent because of two reasons. The first reason was naturally because this being their first time actually meeting, he had no idea what Golem was capable of. And two, he didn't know what this other navi was capable of and was simply assessing what he could do too. The water was an overall problem no matter what, especially if the other navi could use electricity. So far he appeared to be able to use Water, and fire as he would soon see.
Golem meanwhile didn't try to dodge, he couldn't really from his fixed position. But when the smoke started clearing from the explosion, some kind of energy shield would be glowing between Golem and the bomb's point of impact. "He's fast and probably won't get close to you again. So don't give him any breathing room," his Operator suggested.
Golem made a low, grinding sound in response as he morphed his blasters back into hands and he kicked off from the ceiling. And promptly belly flopped INTO the water, causing a towering wave to erupt from his point of impact in all directions. He then stood upright, arming one of his Flash Cannons and firing off a couple shots before using his chains to hookshot his way toward Nightshade.

The cat navi observed as the other two took the fight wayyyyy to seriously. He would rate that belly flop a 10 out of 10. That is, before the guy shot hat him. He swatted the shot asidde like it was nothing, but the wave of water was a major problem. Not because he could not breathe or anything, but because the thing was so big it obscured his view of the opponent. To add to it, The force of the wave forced him backwards, pinning him to the wall for just the few seconds needed for Golem to approach.
darn, he had left himself too open that time.

[Battle 4] =====================================
And then Golem literally threw his weight around, using the momentum to crash right into Nightshade, feet first. Though he was made of harder stuff, he could still feel things. He knew his attack had made a direct hit, managing to keep himself up right against the sunken wall. That was excessive. "Ease off- this is just sparring," Golem's Operator intoned, prompting the the titan to adjust himself. Golem pushed himself off the wall, landing back in the water with a splash as he watched with anticipation.
Golem was... swaying slightly, his body lightly rumbling or creaking as he waited with growing impatience. This burning sensation was growing, it wasn't going to be ignored. The water did little to calm it down, it only seemed to agitate him more simply for existing. "Show me.." Golem's deep, stone grinding against stone voice intoned. It was obvious what he was referring to. Though he had no idea what it was from never encountering it before, he could still sense it.

Suddenly, the temperature in the arena dropped by a few degrees. The ground started quaking as rocks and rubble began to levitate and cracks began to form. An ominous invisible pressure clad Golem tight. Boundless thirst for destruction. Pure Killer Insinct. Primal rage. Clouds filled the sky above and began rumbling, the area around the combatants began glitching and bugging in some spots. It shifted and broke down, then in another moment it was fine again. It lost colors, it gained them. *GROOOOOOOOOOOOOAR*A powerful wind blowing the shards and the dust away from the previous impact as a pillar of purple flames rose high into the now clouded sky, busting the room open in seconds. The ground around it was instantly destroyed, not able to withstand the power surge, the walls crumbled and the water was blown away. Here it came. The power of a navigator program able to fully control a Cybeast's strength. The Beast Out. Trees were eradicated, windows of the nearby buildings smashed. All kinds of warning messages would pop up on human screens, the tension on the brink of short circuiting all their equipment. A clear warning: This wasn't the average power up. More chaos erupted as the unbridled power of Cybeast Gregar himself was finally allowed to flow without restriction. All the viruses still present in the area squeaked and ran away as a very distinct body shape could slowly be seen rising from within the fiery pillar. Even the weak become strong, once the chains of their heart are broken...
When the purple light faded and cleared, leaving static and bugged textures around the area where the power had manifested, the imposing figure was standing in the middle of the destruction. The juuka slowly raised his head, opening his eyes. A cold, heartless death stare. Two piercing blood red eyes boring into Golem's soul. tip tap tip tapThe figure moved. Tip Tap Tip TapThe figure was approaching. He was getting near. TIP TAP TIP TAP.
Sparks of lightning occasionally coursed around him. His mere presence there was enough to glitch the area in close proximity. His tail, waving in slow low arcs just a hair away from scraping the ground, twitched with anticipation once again.
"Gladly."

[Battle 5] =================================== On the other side of things, everyone was indeed freaking out at the sudden fluctuation of power suddenly coursing through the network. Golem's Operator had seen enough anime to know where this was going. Golem meanwhile seemed... amazingly calm and collected, his stance barely moving against the force of the transformation. He did not know enough to understand what exactly happened, nor the gravity of the situation. The only thing that registered was that there was now something very powerful now threatening him. Golem rose to stand upright on just his feet, the joints of his body grinding and making metallic clacks as if locking into place to support his change in posture. All the transformation did was fuel the fire steadily burning. "Did none of you do a background check before hiring this guy?" His Operator demanded as Golem's eyes turned a slight tint of red. Or was that his imagination? Golem raised his arms up slightly to his sides, metal clad fists clenched as the jaw of his helmet suddenly cracked. And then it split, dangling around where the stone making Golem's chin was and revealing a crooked grin that matched Golem's red-white glowing eyes. Golem simply roared in response, his voice much more audible and primal before he lowered his head and charged. He was not nearly as fast on four legs. But with his size and power, that was a moot point as he would try to bull-charge straight into Nightshade. Did these humans accidentally pit two monsters against each other? ======================================= Even moar moozik

The juuka would look at the bulky navi as he charged forward. "Do not fret. I have no intention of deleting anyone. However..."
All he would need was but to raise one of his hands and the charge was abruptly interrupted. The little cybeast didn't even skid backwards by much. "...I will not hold anything back, if that's what my opponent wishes."
He seemed to have completely shrugged off the damage he had recieved when Golem smashed into him. Nightshade grinned as he struggled just a little to hold the guy under control. Being this close to one another was exciting. One could smell their fighting spirit. Letting go off of Golem and sidestepping out of the way, the juuka lowered himself on all fours. He found that was way more natural to fight in some sort of hybridized bypedal to quadruped style. A little more scanning would show that the transformation also changed Nightshade from a plantigrade to a digitigrade stance.
His right arm was aimed at Golem, his hand turning into a strange looking buster. One second of spool up before the entire area Golem was in was promptly strafed by a hail of lead comparable to Vulcan minigun fire. A pocket, wrist mounted A10.

[Battle 6] ======================================
The outer edges of Golem's eyes would shift more and more red as he tried pushing against Nightshade's new form. But before he had a chance to try and hit him, he was let loose again. Golem's momentum and weight caused him to stagger forward, managing to turn himself about using one of his claws digging into the ground. And then he was pelted by automatic fire as he brought his arms up into a more defensive position. Sparks shot off from each shot's impact, followed by the sound of metal crashing against metal.
Golem growled audibly, actually feeling the sting of the assault before standing straight up. Eyes now completely red to match Nightshades as he threw his head back and roared. The area around Golem and Nightshade was suddenly struck by an incredible blast of force, causing the ground to sink all around them whilst sending debris and rubble flying up; only for them to return falling down again. "Feeling..." Golem abruptly spoke with a moment of clarity. "Good..." Golem finished, embracing the power coursing through him as he got back onto all fours and charged forward again...
The situation back with his operator was still on edge, lab techs were busy relocating power to buffers, fixing glitches that had sprung up while his Operator watched with rapt attention. Was this how people felt watching some of his sparring matches when he was younger? It was a different feeling than actually being IN the arena. But he was definitely getting an adrenaline rush by watching these two giving it their all. Well, it seemed more like Golem was warming up to what he was feeling.
