The Undernet. A place of darkness like no other. Tainted by the bad reputation it gainend in the centuries. Apparently, it wasn't scary enough for certain types of Navis. As Legacy took his trip in what could be classified as the internet's hell, something strange flopped in front of him. It looked like a blob of darkness, with six magenta oval things inside. It sloshed around, its power strangely inviting.
Legacy walked around the Undernet completely unperturbed by the atmosphere. In fact, the tall gaunt looking armored navi fit right in. No, instead he walked with a bit of enthusiasm as he explored parts unknown to him.
He had done his research on the place beforehand actually. Despite how dangerous it was to the average civilian, the background politics made misbehaving on too large of a scale would earn the ire of beings far too powerful for most navis, thus the atmosphere was hung on a delicate balance of being both safe yet unsafe. Still, even for the recently awakened Legacy, he was strong enough to put up a fight or get away from most of the ne'er-do-well rabble and viruses weren't much of a problem. No, instead he faced a very different problem at the moment.
"...What." Legacy's face was unchanging as ever, but one could tell that his mood was now one of a man who had just trodden on something extremely unpleasant. If someone had forgotten to clean up after their Spikey, Legacy was going to be sure to open up a new breathing hole in their forehead. For better or worse, he looked down and checked his feet, and thankfully found that it was not Spikey manure, but something else entirely.

The thing did not waste time. It grew a couple of tendrils that immmediately locked Legacy's leg by tightly coiling around it. Almost as if stuck into cement, the tourist navi could only spectate as the ooze shot up his leg and proceeded to "eat him"
It flowed all over Legacy, encasing him within itself. The whole thing happened in ten to fifteen seconds max. Hardly any time to react. Yet, it did not seem to have malicious intent...for now.
Whatever it was it was changing Legacy's appereance. The mechanical warrior was now a good 7ft tall. It seemed that the liquid settled down in the shape of some sort of Lizard like creature. Some of the liquid mass sculpted itself into an incredibly muscular body, while all excess mass that wasn't needed to grant Legacy this odd form was condensed into a long tail.
Strangely enough, visuals weren't the only thing changing. After a few moments, Legacy would feel his entire body tingle, as if many miniscule needles were burrowing inside his systems. The amount of energy he seemed to be losing since he stepped into the puddle increased by a good amount, yet not enough to stress his reactor at all.
By far the most interesting detail was the new power creeping within Legacy. It was...pure darkness. It completely removed any inhibitions within him. It called to him. All his most secret and depraved desires could now become a reality if he so pleased.
His memories would recall a certain dragon navi talking and showing to him something basically Identical to what he was experiencing. He had called it a Dark Soul. Did Legacy just gain one by accident?
Oh. Apparently. The thing could speak. In Legacy's mind, at least.
"Oh?" Legacy was admittedly relieved that what he stepped in wasn't what he thought it was, and even more so now that it was...Moving. Up his body. Still, Spikey manure or not, this was a somewhat unsettling situation. Legacy found it somewhat curious and fascinating. He wasn't terribly pleased that this thing was having its way with his body so easily, but he didn't feel any particularly harmful intent.
"Oh. This is Dark Power." Legacy finally put a finger to what the sensation was. That weird feeling of power that tried to tempt Legacy to no real avail since he found himself uninterested; but the next bit was new. Rather than a tall imposing robot, he was a... Well, Legacy couldn't really tell what he was anymore. He didn't seem to grow, but this sensation on his posterior... Did he now have a tail? A most interesting and yet confusing occurrence. As if confirming his question, the tail wiggled slightly showing Legacy's amusement.
"Oho. Well, this is an interesting sensation. Ka-ka-ka! I knew the Undernet would provide amusement if I looked hard enough!" The robotic navi turned amorphous blob/lizard cackled to itself. He could feel something inside him, willing Legacy to let go of his morals and inhibitions, and do whatever he pleased. To this, Legacy cocked his head slightly to the side, wondering how that was any different to what he had been doing before.
"Hmn?" Legacy scanned the area, wondering who was calling out to him. It took a moment to realize that the voice came from within his own mind. "Well hello there. My apologies for stepping on you, but might I ask what business you have with me?"

"Your body was interesting for me, Weird One. As I need a host to live, I decided to merge with you."
The weird creature kept shifting and moving around Legacy. Every second that passed it adjusted itself to fit the robotic navi's size. The dark blue color was being stained by purple patches here and there, likely a byproduct of it feeding off of the armored navi. While it could force movements, he didn't seem interested in doing such thing. He was much more interested in how his new host did not show any sign of change.
Usually, the average navi would slowly give in to their desires, more and more. There were those who lived for the thrill of fighting, those who stealed, killed, tortured. He always gave the host the freedom and enjoyment of their darkest desires...yet this one didn't have any. Usually, by now he should be begging for more power.
Four gooey spikes grew out of Legacy's new arms and legs, four of the six magenta cores becoming visible to the naked eye again. Rhythmically pulsating at a slow rate as if they were hearts, wouldn't take long for the robotic navi to understand they were the reason of his energy drain as well as his new tail that was throbbing and tracing slow arcs just above the ground.
The creature's interest was piqued by the unknown reason that caused his new host so much amusement over the tail he now had. The last two magenta cores emerged not long after on Legacy's smooth muzzle, acting as eyes for anyone daring enough to try to communicate with them.

"Weird one? Hello pot, name's kettle. Have we met? Ka-ka-ka!" Legacy looked over the now changed version of his body. He seemed to resemble some sort of reptile at the moment rather than his usual mechanical Gothic armor self. That would have explained the tail at least. Such an odd sensation. He felt the need to lean forwards slightly to account for the change in center of gravity and say nothing about nerves where there used to be none.
"Still, this energy drain may prove to be a nuisance and I'm not a fan of doing charity work. I may have to ask you to leave before this ceases to be amusing." This DarkSoul or Dark Power proved to be somewhat irritating since it seemed prioritize some of its own systems over Legacy's own. He also disliked that whatever this was just sort of latched onto Legacy to feed off of him. The thing he disliked most of all however, was the strange feeling on his face.
"Nu?" Legacy focused on his peripheral vision, seeing what might have been the offending addition on his face that was causing the discomfort. "WHAT." He felt his face, feeling a rather obvious protrusion that didn't use to be there. What's more, it seemed to be moving as if responding to Legacy's speech and wiggled itself according to Legacy's emotions. Yes, Legacy was growing confused at having a nose and an emoting face that moved as he talked.
"What manner of...!?" Legacy's expression scrunched up and wiggled about in response to his confusion of having a face.

"Your body is mine, Weird One. Unless you find me another host, that is."
Despite the thing's rather unreasonable demand, Legacy seemed significantly distracted by his own issues. "THERE ARE WIGGLING BITS ON MY FACE YOU ACCURSED CREATURE." Legacy roared in horror. His brand new brow furrowed, his new lips had a deep grimace, and worst of all, that blasted wiggling sensitive nose at the end of his snout. How on Earth did other navis deal with these nuisances?! Legacy's tail slapped the ground in impatience. If anything, Legacy may have handled the new experience a little more gracefully normally, so perhaps the DarkSoul did have some effect on him in a way?
"Another host is it?! Very well, but know this blob thing, the temple that is my body is open to admirers but it is claimed for none but myself!" It also seemed to have made him considerably more arrogant, or perhaps the trauma made him less in the mood to mince words. It was difficult to tell with him really. Within a moment though, he fell silent.
"...Oh. This is new. He must have been feeling REALLY irritated if he left himself that open." Legacy(?) said as he examined himself, although he sounded considerably higher pitched before. "Now, I know he asked before, but who're you again? In case you hadn't noticed, but this body is occupied and I'm already being charitable enough by charging him rent. Another freeloader is too much."

The creature silently observed as his new host rambled about his...wiggly bits. Not everyone seemed to like the draconic features he gave them upon Dark Linking.
He seemed fine with having a tail and not fine having a nose. Honestly speaking, he had learned that granting some basic wishes to the host made coexistance in the same body easier. If the host is happy they wouldn't try to rip him off. Still, he really needed this host, so he would stop any attempts the guy-uh?
Maelstrom hear another voice beside his and his host's. It semed that his host was already allowing someone else within him prior to his arrival. The voice appeared higher pitched. It seemed that this alternate persona bad taken over and was intent at examining their body.
"Zv-405 is my designation. Previous hosts referred to me with a wide variety of names. Maelstrom or simply Mael seem to be the most commonly recognized names I possess."
The creature shifted around Legacy again, better distributing his liquid mass. The tail grew a little longer as the muscular form buffed up even more. By now he had sufficiently burrowed his cores within the Host to take full control, yet he still wouldn't try it for the time being. This navi did not seem to be an ideal host. He would need to find an alternative. Possibly a Darkloid he could better feed off of.
With the bond finally complete and Maelstrom now looking as a true DarkSoul with his new body completely purple, the leech turned his attention to his host's other persona.
"How rude, comparing me to a DarkSoul. If anything, he...What did he call himself, Legacy? He's the one doing the borrowing." The voice said with a huff, displeased at the sudden comparison to the parasite. The thought of it made its now engorged tail slap the ground, caving in the flooring slightly around the tail.
"Well, I suppose it would be rude not to introduce myself. A name though...My old name is a bit long, I suppose I should follow his example. Sefira will do." Sefira said, deciding a name rather offhandedly. "I must say though, not having a conversation face to face is a nuisance." Sefira snapped its fingers, causing a mass of green particles to emerge in front of it. The particles clumped together and crystallized, forming a translucent crystalline body identical to Legacy's.
"Umu. This is more fitting." Sefira's voice was now coming from the crystalline copy. It seemed like Legacy's body still remained inside of Maelstrom, yet most of his functions seemed to have shut down and the once flowing energy seemed to be at a bare minimum. "That grotesque form was far too bulky. This will do. Ah...A beautiful color, is it not?" Sefira admired the emerald sheen of its crystalline body.

Maelstrom took that chance to take over control. His tail waved slowly as he stretched around. Not a bad body at all. Not one of the best though.
"Pleasure to meet you." He simply replied, not even needing to open his mouth to speak.
Maelstrom wasn't a guy with many words, but he could hold a conversation just fine. He'd never really start out though. He would hop closer to the emerald constuct, somewhat drawn towards the shine. "...I suppose so." He replied to her question about colors. He never had any thought for them. He barely even cared about their existance. The only thing that mattered to him would be remaining purple for as long as he could. Purple was healthy, blue was starving. He was purple now, so all was ok.
"Hahahae! Hahehahehaehheehehe! Ho-Ho-ho~! Kak-kaaaak, huuugth- Ooooh . . . Fiddle cracked across the knee, what a twist of fate you be!"
The voice resonated, sounding raspy and almost forced, like they were sick and struggling to speak all at once. Where it came from was difficult to discern at first . . . before the two staring at one another would realize that half of their opposer's body had changed.
The right side of the blob and the left side of the crystalline figure, respectively, was overtaken by what looked like a heavily muscled figure with a bare top, his upper body marred with tattoos and scars alike, some actively open and seeping out his red life essence. His deep, sunken eyes were rounded with deep, dark bags, as though he never sleeps, haunted by the spirits that dwell just behind his constantly shifting irises, from blue, to pure black, to red, to feral orange, and back again . . . only again to shift from blue, to blinding white, to radiant yellow and then to empty grey.
When he suddenly walked forward for both pairs, it took a moment for the other half of their body to collect itself, and, even after it would reappear, they would feel the violation and empty cold within . . . whatever it was that was just sharing their space. The two halves of the single Navi met, the two halves becoming one, and, at first, one half still stared at the crystalline figure, the other still staring back at the dragon. Accompanied by the sound of cracking bone and snapping sinew, the body in front of them disgustingly righted outside, its legs snapping to the front and its body creaking about until, rightfully standing and facing the dragon, was a full Navi.
His humanoid upper body, under greater inspection, seemed to be rippling with faces. The runes carved across his skin seemed to move, the circles charged with energy circling about and shifting in tandem with the mesmerizing glyphs, in the shape of strange animals and ghostly figures. His lower body, clad in darkest of armor, had no particularly strange features to it, aside from the armor appearing to melt or even shift in design entirely at odd places, correcting itself and then malforming again seemingly at random . . . for but no other reason than that it seemed to be able to.
"Haheha! StrifeMan knew it," he cackled, his raspy voice switching inflections and styles at random, sometimes sounding high pitched and cheery and other times sounding almost animalistic - at all times, it was berated by the sickness and ire that one could smell rolling off of him, along with the carrion of his rotting, scarred flesh, and the pain of his constantly slouched shoulders. He raised a hand, still very much human, to grasp at the dragon, his palm resting against the dragon's cheek . . . but Maelstrom would get the sensation of something moving just on the inside of StrifeMan's hand, attempting to burrow within his cheek!

The Dark Soul Leech watched as the strange navi went to touch his host's cheek. In response, part of his own fluid mass flowed over to Strifeman's hand, covering it and insulating it against any kind of intrusion. This was his specialty after all. He did it to live. Some of the purple ooze flowed inside Strifeman's body through the cuts on his hand, sending a little pulse of Dark Power inside the navi. The dragon stepped closer, seemingly curious of the crazy navi before him.
He did not ask anything, because he already had understood the guy's name. He could feel a pull towards Strifeman. It seemed that the guy already had some darkness within him. That would usually mean that his Dark Link would be more stable and the bond deeper. Even with his expression not changing, the leech was wondering if he should merge with the guy caressing his cheek instead of the weird one.

"Oh, how convenient." Sefira watched as something rather strange looking slithered on up to the two of them. The crystalline navi wasn't sure what this repugnant thing was, but it seemed far more willing to interact with Maelstrom than Sefira was. This Strifeman thing even tried touching Maelstrom of its own accord. This was officially Strifeman's problem, not Sefira's.
Or at least, it would be, but Sefira remembered Legacy's and by extension Sefira's body was still inside of Maelstrom. "Oops, how careless of me." Another snap of the fingers and suddenly the link between Legacy and Maelstrom was severed, and where once stood a crystalline copy now stood the original body rid of any outside influences.
"I'd prefer not to touch something so disgusting, but you two suit each other well. I shall amuse myself by watching whatever bizarre creation emerges next." Sefira folded its arms and watched the rather strange spectacle.

StrifeMan's eyes change to that of the searing radiance from before, and, for a moment, his face slackens into a face of conviction and resolve - a zealot's fervor stares back at Maelstrom, with the intent to destroy.
Then, they shift again to a simple, human-like blue eye, which glance at the liquid covering his hand and the being before him almost with fear. This face nor these eyes last long, as the radiating, pulsating purple of his usual eye color dominates once again, and StrifeMan cackles.
"Gyahkahaha-hehehahea! We can see it, you know?" he whispered, but not very lowly, like a child trying to whisper but being very loud about it. "The temptation in your eyes . . . the sin in your heart . . . they see it, too, and it makes them scream. Can you hear them? The voices? Ooh, what am I saying - of course you can't. You might, though! Ooh, StrifeMan looks forward to it . . ."
He suddenly stops, slouching a little forward, his gaze now vacant - no radiance, no glow, no detail to his eyes at all, as he hobbles backward, his hand detaching from the goop as though without though, falling as he moves. He stops just shy of the crystalline figure behind him, his limbs horrifically snapping about, bones shifting as his arms snap up and back, his spine straightening and then violently bending itself to one side all at once, before his body shifts back to its original state . . . with a few changes. Easily missed amidst the cracking of bones and rearrangement of his limbs, his skin tone had changed from the peach of a human body to a deep red, scales sprouting across his features. His face now sported horns and more pronounced bones, making him look arguably devilish.
"Yes, yes, StrifeMan knows what there is to know, did you know? He knows all about your mistake . . . your pain! Your delicious, wonderful pain . . . it makes them scream. Scream! SCREAM!"
Without warning, the hole in his chest - had that been there, before? This dark, decrepid void, borrowing into his heart, a large, lightless crevice, seeming to fall down, down, down . . . it sputtered into life. Rapidly spinning, churning out violet energy, little spurts of crimson mist, and even small, grasping hands began to inch out from within it, the churning energy accompanied by the sound of flapping wings, coughs and screeches from within. "Do you hear them screaming?!"
