"Ka-ka-ka! Finally, healed from that debacle!" Legacy cackled to himself, earning looks of curiosity from some, fear from others, and ire from the staff of the arena after Legacy had caused some... Collateral damage during his fight against Nightshade. He had been let in again after assuring them that he wasn't going to be launching another attack like that anytime soon, however he seemed quite excited to test his new power.
Legacy gripped his hands, putting some strength into them and feeling out his new capabilities. "Hm hmm hmmmn. My calculations say there was a small boost to my fighting abilities in general and approximately 20% increase in power. Stronger..." He repeated to himself, gleeful about the insight his calculations gave him. Taking himself and the Sefirot Reactor to its limits and surviving expanded his capabilities. Taking in whatever his equivalent of a deep breath was and focusing himself, Legacy's wing binders extended outwards and he braced himself and straightened his balance out.
"KAA!" Legacy shouted as his Sefirot Reactor activated, sending power through his body and glowing emerald colored particles jetted out of his armors emitters. It seemed that Legacy was ready for a fight to break in his new abilities.

". . . Send him in."
"?! Sir, why?"
"You want my opinion on him? I need to see him fight. So, send him into the ring. That's an order."
Cold. Piercing, unforgiving, unrelenting . . . foreboding. The source of the chill was hard to pin down, as the frost began to creep across the arena, instantly putting a small layer of permafrost on the floor; while solid and sure, it wasn't precarious enough to slip on. What had slipped into the arena alongside Legacy?
Suddenly, the cold illuminated, and an intense glare of shear, blue light washed over the battlefield. Like a frozen star, the figure descended, its luminescence at first blinding before it receeded, leaving behind a soft silhouette as the light fully faded within. Without its blinding radiance, the figure appeared to be a humanoid form encrusted entirely of ice, like a bastion formed of hard, cold steel, his powerful armor gladiatorial and devoid of any facial features beyond the stout armor, his helmet covering his entire head with simple vertical vents for a mouth and horizontal slits for eyes emitting the intense cold from within his body.
Within the armor, a core glows with the energy that radiates the constant cold, the air around his body appearing to steam with the intensity of his presence - not from raw power or intensity of might, but, the simple cold he emits. The frozen star looks at Legacy from the other side of the arena, his vents glowing with energy as he speaks: "I am called the Armiger. I am told you are to be my opponent. For your own protection, I suggest surrendering. That way, I will not have to hurt you."
His voice was loud and booming, like the resonating power of the star within, and the chilling breath that spewed from his "mouth" clouded up the air around him even more. He appeared to be purposefully designed to be a little flamboyant and noticeable . . . all the while, he was sincere when he spoke. Legacy needed to turn and leave, lest he get hurt.

"Hoh?" Legacy inspected his opponent. There was no mistaking that this one was a warrior, and that cold feeling... Ice? He certainly was an unusual one to Legacy. If memory served, Ice was still considered to be Aqua element during Legacy's time, however the type had been updated to follow its own elemental protocols quite some time before Legacy had woke up. This was the mechanical navi's first Ice Type navi he had ever personally encountered!
"My, quite the interesting one responded to my invitation. Ka-ka-ka!" Legacy laughed at Armiger's warning and elaborate entrance. Between this fellow "The Armiger" and Nightshade, people sure loved making their presence known to everyone in the immediate area.
"Well met Armiger! It seems I am not the only one with a 'Unique' construction! But you needn't be so... Cold, we're both here for the same purpose after all." Legacy gave a spirited response, vocally and physically as the Sefirot Particles flowed from his armor, mixing into the atmosphere along with Armiger's icy fog. Legacy reached outwards with his arm into a dense cloud of particles, his arm seemingly disappearing before grabbing onto something and pulling his rifle from almost thin air. Meanwhile, a set of small bat-like machines detached themselves from their ports on Legacy's back, flying in formation just behind him pointed at Armiger.
"Allow me to return your courtesy. You may have the first move." Legacy flicked his wrist towards him, beckoning Armiger to take a swing at him.

"Why is he so . . . noticeable?
"If he were to show up on the battlefield, what would you do?"
"If I didn't know him as an ally, with that flashy of an appearance, I'd have shot him from the sky."
"Exactly."
Armiger watched as the other released a cloud of contesting mist, and prepared themselves for battle, proffering no response to the other's banter. As much as he would rather not, it would appear that fighting against the opposing Navi was inevitable - so, he, too, prepared for battle.
"That will be your only warning. It's really rather a shame we must come to this . . ." The core of Armiger's body radiated, and an intense blue mist yielded from the surface of his body, ice crystals instantly freezing upon contact with the air to form; first, a polearm, the densely compacted ice forming into an ax blade with mounted with a spearpoint: A Bill. The second, at first, a simple wall of ice held within his left hand, before it solidified and shattered into the air around him, adopting more intricate details as a spiked, rounded shield, with a brace on which to mount his bill.
The sheen of intense cold spread out across the battlefield, suspending the air with chilled particles of Armiger's frozen core, as the warrior lowered his stance; placing his shield in front of him, with his bill mounted on its side, the Armiger stood fast.
And, then, without warning, the shaft of the bill suddenly elongated in his grip, ice rapidly forming to stretch the shaft forward, aiming the spearpoint at Legacy's side.

"Oho." Legacy watched as his opponent materialized his weapons from what he attempted to be condensed moisture and sheer cold. In quite a few regards, this Armiger had traits in common with how Legacy functioned it seemed, aside from the now rather obvious preference for close quarters combat. He wasn't fond of the attitude though, it seemed that his opponent was here on orders rather than fun which rather spoiled it. Legacy's somewhat regretful thoughts were interrupted however when Armiger commenced his attack.
"Heh. I must remember to thank Nightshade for this idea." Legacy noted to himself as in a smooth motion, a section in his forearm opened up, revealing a handle that Legacy drew on his opponent. A glowing plasma blade quickly formed as Legacy flipped the handle to reverse the grip and deflect the thrust away from him, made easier by the fact that Armiger didn't aim straight at Legacy. He wasn't sure if Armiger was just trying to intimidate him or showing off, but the action slightly irritated Legacy.
"No need to be so timid." He said curtly before firing a round of searing plasma directly at Armiger's chest. "I came for a fight, not posturing."
Legacy's Orbital Familiars meanwhile, scattered in different directions and moved to surround Armiger from different angles. Legacy wasn't sure if Armiger's conduct was from confidence or some misguided code of honor, but he was determined to draw out Armiger's best.

Armiger watched as the other defended himself, his extended polearm being knocked off course by a plasma blade. Instantly, the polearm shattered in reverse, the head of the weapon finding its way back to the polearm in Armiger's hand, the remnants of the extended pole collecting in the air as shattered ice crystals. They appeared to sharpen and weaponize at a whim, before showering down from above onto Legacy.
He raised no defense agains the plasma bolt assailing him. In fact, he seemed to not even notice it as it pelted off of his shield, leaving a nice little dent in the ice. While his outer body showed no signs of retaliation, his inner core responded rather . . . violently. The mass of thermal energy within surged with activity, the frozen core rapidly expanded, as the visible photosphere - his suit of armor - radiated with raw power, suddenly exuding a massive field of intense cold. This veritable solar flare of raw ice surged outwards from his body once, twice, three times in rapid succession, each burst more powerful than the last, and each unrelenting against Legacy's body. They ripped through any and all opposition in their way, and each burst appeared to leave the outer shell of ice of Armiger's body thicker and sturdier.
"Someone I am hurting is someone I am not protecting. I am designed to defend - with no one to defend, this fight has no other purpose than to test my capabilities. Meaning I've no care for banter and less for your enjoyment. Take solace in the knowledge that I will not delete you."
Armiger thrusts his polearm again, this time sweeping in a wide arc from afar, but bringing the ice in a wide curve behind Legacy, sprouting more heads to his bill along the edge of the extended pole to force Legacy closer to him.

Legacy didn't move as ice shards peppered his armor, observing his opponent's reactions to his own attacks. Were that the extent of it, there wouldn't be a need to dodge since they didn't have enough force to pierce Legacy's armor. The next reaction however, seemed significantly more intense than the ice shards however. Within moments, Legacy's body was skewered, the holes from the extended icicles leaked Sefirot Particles like blood. He was then dragged forwards towards Armiger before his body turned completely green and dissolved into a cloud of particles.
"Testing my limits is more than enough reason to fight, outside of enjoyment. You are an interesting one though, my own attacks seem to strengthen you." Legacy stood a slight distance behind Armiger, relatively unharmed from the previous assault. He had felt the blast from his Sefirot Rifle hit home, but it seemed fairly apparent that Armiger had let it do so for a reason other than confidence in his armor. That feeling of incongruity put Legacy on alert, and he temporarily withdrew from where he stood, leaving a copy made of Sefirot Cloud and teleporting away, observing what had happened in the mean time.
"Interesting. How about this then!" Legacy's wings folded over his shoulder and energy began building up along the barrel of the Twin Sefirot Launchers. "Sefirot Launchers...Shoot!" The muzzle flashed green for a moment before a pair of beams fired, significantly more concentrated and higher speed than the simple plasma bolt from before. If normal firearms barely made an impression, then perhaps something with a bit more gumpton behind it would do better.

Armiger.EXE
Armiger watched as his shards of ice peppered off of his opponent without harm. That was not his concern, however; his worries were to get the opponent to strike him, usually instead of an ally. His violent core would assail his opponent when his weak wended attacks did not bother him. The Navi rode the momentum from his polearm to make his way behind him, putting himself in an interesting position.
He turned his attention to his back, watching as the strange Navi behind him collected himself from the previous assault. He was leaking some form of life essence from his body, which meant that the Navi was wounded - trying to collect himself in Armiger's blindspot would not serve him well, as the frozen sun did not have one. The "eyes" on the front of his helmet were not his method of perception, but, rather, the flowing energy within that was his true self. As he left behind a small cloud of green particles in his place, Armiger shifted his vision again, turning from within his shell to search after him. He left the cloud alone, as that was but a decoy.
The sudden surge of energy and shout turned his attention to where his adversary had disappeared to, and Armiger shifted the outershell to take on the brunt of the attack his opponent was charging. From his bravado, this was his surest method of offense - or, at the very least, far more powerful than the one before it. The green flare of energy smashed against his outer core, the ice giving way under his fury, and Armiger stood still and waded the tides of pain and agony.
His outer core was steadfast and near impenetrable, but, sufficient power could dent it, and his inner core was incredibly unstable - his true body was fragile and frail beneath his coat of ice. For Legacy's efforts, he would see the ever shifting frozen core, as his blast had left the armor melted and deformed - until an intense sheen of frost froze over him once again, building a sheen of armor all the larger than the one before it.
Just as before, a field of massive cold exuded from his photosphere, releasing a series of three frozen solar flares to retaliate against his assailant. Despite the armor on the outside looking larger and sturdier than before, however, the core within fluctuated dangerously - Armiger's armor had given way, finding its match within the large lasers. At least he was actually trying now, and was through with all the banter.
Armiger raised his shield, now, and flung it forward, the sheet of ice on the outer layer of the shield flying off as a large disc to chase his estranged target, as he once again swung his extended polearm to bring the combatant closer to him.

Sure enough, the beams from Legacy's beam launchers had hit home, and this time to particularly noticeable effect. Just like before however, counter attack in the form of tendril-like icicles pierced Legacy, however he avoided he blocked the center of his own chest with his arms, halting it from rupturing his own core. Legacy had to admit, that armor of Armiger's was somewhat enviable, however the annoying icy counters aside, he still wasn't sure of Armiger's full power.
Without bothering to remove the icicles embedded in him, Legacy snapped the tips off to free up his arms and extended his arm outward. His hand glowed green for a moment before large crystalline gauntlet formed around it, and then Legacy swatted the shield aside, deflecting it and shattering the gauntlet in the process. "If he wants me closer so much..." Legacy suddenly lurched forward, dodging the blade of the pole arm and absorbing the diminished impact of the shaft.
Once again, Legacy took aim with his rifle and fired at Armiger's core. Rather than a bolt of plasma however, a grenade was propelled forwards and exploded rather far from its target. It became apparent that the grenade's purpose wasn't to damage the target, it was meant to disorient them as a blinding flash along with a cloud of Sefirot Particles blanketed the area, disrupting and enraging anyone that was caught in it.

Armiger's polearm did a strange thing as Legacy swatted at it. The intensity of the cold beneath the polearm burned through his gauntlet, hissing and steaming as the intense cold came into contact with the normal temperature of the hand. A shard of ice broke off, and Armiger was ready to capitalize on his unique fighting style, when, suddenly, Legacy threw a wrench into the plan.
To be a bit more accurate, he threw a grenade into the plan.
The flash of the grenade flared at the same time the own flash of his inner core flash-froze the air around him, introducing a level of cold so intense that the explosive force from the grenade fire simply halted within the intensity of the frozen solar prominence. The quickly created sheet of ice fell apart almost instantly, but, its purpose had been served, and Armiger stood without a dent on his armor.
Without something to respond to, however, his armor did not resonate, and no dangerous shards threw themselves from his core. His opponent had begun to realize that striking directly at him resulted in stark punishment, and, so, he was trying a less direct approach. Armiger, while a capable defendent, wasn't much of a combatant - without an opponent to analyze and respond to, taking acute advantage of his unstable core's tendency to just flare up and flare out, he was easy to dispatch of. He'd need to keep Legacy on his toes, and, preferably, in one place. Armiger smashed his shield into the ground beneath him, the ice on the shield spreading across the ground and arcing towards Legacy with conviction, hoping to wrap around his feet and keep him solidly on the ground where Armiger could get to him more easily.

"?!" Legacy hadn't been expecting his grenade to be nullified, however this provided yet a bit more insight into his opponent. The way the polearm's shaft reacted to even a light physical blow too was informative, troublesome none the less, but informative.
"I see. Based on the data that has been gathered, it seems I shall have to take a different approach." A burst of Sefirot Particles formed a bubble around Legacy, deflecting the approaching ice around him leaving him unharmed inside, although the barrier seemed to fade immediately after being struck.
This Armiger fellow, true to his word was far more suited to defending. That pesky core of his only seemed to violently react to direct offense, and it was far more damaging than any of his other strikes. Against someone like Legacy who preferred long ranged constant assault as his general strategy, it was indeed ideal. As much as Legacy loathed to admit, Armiger's strength to defense may have even eclipsed Legacy's own. At least, that was normally the case. The way Armiger's armor and core reacted to the Sefirot Launchers was at least quite telling. It had a limit.
The aura of Sefirot Particles that flowed from Legacy's armor seemed to intensify and flare up for a moment before it dissipated, and sparks of green electricity and plasma seemed to dance along his entire body as he built up power. After that little overcharging incident against Nightshade, Legacy was reluctant to build up so much power again within himself, but this variety of opponent left him little choice. If a normal attack wasn't sufficient, Legacy would see if he could blow him away in a single shot.
