-Navi Name: Vaimn Note
--Appearance: Vaimn Note is a relatively short navi with emerald eyes that pierce through pointed-edge black sunglasses; these remarkable eyes are set under dark-green hair that is short and swept, and his design evokes the image of a suited-up rock-star. Black boots ride up over pants the color of his hair. A golden stripe runs down the seam, and a sleek looking black jacket hides a deceptively slender torso. Vaimn's sharp face (with sour lips and an angular nose) is almost always fixed in some look of mildly bored amusement. Occasionally he will reach up and adjust the position or antenna on a set of over-the-head headphones, schematically consistent and constantly (rudely) covering at least one of his ears.
Orbiting Vaimn are two dangerous, torso-length, blackened steel kite shields with particularly sharp points. On the backs of each are gauntlets for secure wielding. When not in use these shields sit on his back, points down, ready to be called to action.
--Personality: Selfsure, untrusting, and with a streak of vanity, Vaimn is far too laid back for his own good... when he has nothing to do. However, Vaimn pursues jobs with the utmost composure and compassion and when met with a task puts his whole heart into it.
--Background: Created a handful of years ago as an assistant navi to an unremarkable reporter, Note's primary function early in life was to provide digital security for that man's data files. As the reporter was flung into real world conflicts, so too was Note catapulted into a number of digital frays where he had to watch friends and strangers suffer at the hands of wild viruses or malicious, despicably harrowing corruption.
In the years after, Note's operator died and he took up the reporter's mantle. Never, though, did he forget what he had seen and so he began to contract programmers to update his abilities to suit what he thought would be the greatest good - now self-sufficient, Note freelances his way through day-to-day life and occasionally plays music at dives local to him. He just waits for the time when his new abilities will meet a call to action, a call to report the truth of events, and a call to stand up for those otherwise crushed by the weight of humanity's digital imagination.
