Asymptote shook his head. Wasn't planning on using it that battle. It was just a friendly sp- Asymptote would begin, before hearing the coughing from a nearby alleyway, eyes immediately drawn towards the coughing and a sphere of energy crackling behind him almost immediately. The figure made himself known afterwards, and Asymptote couldn't see much past the hood, but he could see a little bit of green liquid from the navi's mouth. He would let the sphere dissipate and turn his head towards the figure.
Asymptote shook his head at the navi. I did allow the dark soul to fester in my heart...I do accept that much. But...all I was involved in was a simple sparring match. Navis were afraid of me...even my opponent was afraid I'd attack the crowd that had gathered to watch us fight...I saw it in her eyes. The fear I would go berserk... Asymptote finally said, closing his eyes as he thought. I want...to use this...not to hurt innocents. I intend to gradually learn how to control and harness it's power. It might be a beastly force...but...I think with time...one can learn to control it's power. Not as a vassal...but as the master...but what I heard my dark soul whisper to me in the back of my mind when it unleashed... Asymptote paused, visibly afraid as his body began to shake. It scares me.
*The man chuckled at Asymptote. This was not a laugh of condescension, but rather a laugh of interest. The feisty ones were always the most fun to watch, after all. Nodding with Thorn, he was keen on adding his little caveat on top.*
?: Oh no no, you can control it very simply. Not easily, but simply. The problem is, when it can no longer gnaw and consume your heart, it consumes your body. I can attest to that.
*The man then removed his hood, showing his whitened hair, and taut, pale skin. The cracks pulsed the same sickly green color, appearing as if his whole head were throbbing. He coughed up more of the sickening corruption onto the ground, rubbing his chest as he did.*
?: You need to ask yourself if you want to control the DarkSoul, or co-exist with it. Those feelings are inside of you, boy. DarkSoul or not. But the biggest thing is to trust in it. Trust that underneath the wanton chaos is a primal urge to assert and preserve one's self. It can and will destroy everything around it, but you'll probably be safe at the end of the episode.
Clearly the only answer to continue the path to what you despise most and become the most powerful being on site so no one can beat you so you can play the game fairly. fist pump ~Shast

Thorn's interest in the guy seemed to grow. The Darkloid decided to bite the bullet. "Uh...Who are ya with that fancy disease? Is that the reason you know so much about DarkSouls? Did your DarkSoul separate from you in some way?"
Asymptote contemplated everything that had been said. They're right...you know. the voice in the back of his head whispered. Asymptote shook again, a chill running up the entire length of his spine as things continued. He exhaled loudly, much akin to a balloon deflating, his heart sank as he heard what he knew to be the truth. There wasn't much he could do about it...not much he could think against the reasoning. Both of them had been darkloids for far longer than him...and unfortunately, as much as he wished to not hear such words...as much as he wished he didn't want to hear things like what had been said...they were right.
I suppose...there isn't much I can say against it. Facts are facts. I need to get stronger regardless. But I need to balance my exposure to both my Dark Soul, as well as Dark Chips. Asymptote would finally say, inhaling deeply. Opening his eyes, a gold color filled them. This will be quite the learning process.
Thorn tilted his head slightly to the side, curious about his friend's sudden eye color change. His tail kept on wagging up and down, the dragon still content to be all cuddled up in his friend's arms. It took a little bit to notice, but he could finally sense Asymptote's DarkSoul. It was...so weak. Well, Asymtote hardly ever used DarkChips until now...and hardly ever gave into it. Made sense.
Thorn himself concentrated, calling his powers from the depths of his body. Just like Asymtote, Thorn had his eyes glowing gold after a few seconds. His scales darkened to a less vibrant purple as the navi commuted with his own DarkSoul, the poison dragon's powers spiking to a considerable level.
The dragon kept on wagging at his friend, Dark Power calmly flowing freely from his body. This small exibit was mostly a reminder that he too had been through the same ordeals Asymptote had to face daily. It was also to show that DarkSouls could be tame in nature, not necessarily always bent on destruction. "You can still count on me. I did promise to train you into a capable Darkloid now, didn't I?"
*The man smiled warmly as Thorn kept delicately close to Asymptote. The purple dragon looked like a concerned friend, trying to tell his partner that "he was going to be okay." The little display was anything but impressive to the man.*
?:It doesn't matter what my name is, but I suppose You can call me what my people call me, "Corrosion". And I am as you see, because I offered my body to the Dark Power in order to keep my spirit in tact. It's a vicious thing, but...such is life.
*"Corrosion" coughed as he let out a chuckle, seeing the deeper purple, he couldn't help but make an assumption.*
"Corrosion": That some kind of chameleon trait? Hehehe you have no idea what a darkloid is, do you? A darkloid is not just some navi with darkchips. They are evil beings who revel in carnage and hatred. You want to see what you can become? Allow me...
*As he finished, the man reached into his cloak, revealing a purple shell, made entirely out of Dark Chips. Fueling his energy into it, it pulsed green and purple light before the pure chip took form.*
"Corrosion": This here, is a DarkInvis chip, with this you will get to meet a true Darkloid.
*With his ominous warning, the man thrust the chip into Thorn's head, before violently ripping out a deep-purple dragon, writhing and kicking as its restrained form hissed and snapped at the man. Subduing it with a link to the chip in its head, "Corrosion" chuckled as he looked the boys in the eyes.*
"Corrosion": Now this is a darkloid![/color]
*The serpent thrashed to and fro, being wrenched from its host. The light was agonizing, but it found itself unable to remove the man's head from his limbs. Lashing out, the DarkSoul clawed at the boys, trying ever so desperately to see their insides.*
Thorn DS: Kill! Let me close so I may gut you and watch you suffer beneath me! I will consume your fear and dismantle your very spirit!
*As it lunged one more time, it found itself tethered to the man, cursed to be on this line, unable to make its desires a reality.*

Thorn looked as the man literally pulled out his own DarkSoul from his body. His muzzle turned into the most amused grin he could ever do as he watched his other half wriggle around shouting bloody murder.
"Well...am I not the handsomest?" He teased, chuckling. "So, you're the other side of me eh? I can say I like your spicy behavior. I mean, you're me...so of course you're awesome. Without me, it would be aweso~"

Asymptote looked at the display "Corrosion" had displayed. A powerful dark chip, ripping the dark soul out of Thorn's head as though he were nothing. He was certainly a powerful navi, that much was for sure. But Asymptote stared at the thrashing, gnashing creature in front of him. Asymptote's golden gaze would dim before returning to the blood red of his current self.
So, this is the "true" face of my friend, hmmm? Asymptote asked himself, raising an eyebrow behind the metal mask, sighing deeply as he slowly got up to his feet, a bit taller than most navis at a good six feet in height while standing. Quite the trick you have there Corrosion. Is this how you show everyone their inner selves to try and disillusion them? Or is this a special occasion?
*The man smiled gently as Thorn's Darksoul thrashed about violently. It craved suffering, but the tether would not move. Pulling the poisonous serpent to its knees at his heel, the man's hand glowed a white aura as he reached into the skull of the snake and pulled free the DarkInvis chip and tucked it back onto his person. As he did so, the DarkSoul immediately disintegrated, flowing back into Thorn. His almost heavenly glow subsiding, the man addressed Asymptote directly.*
"Corrosion": Not quite, my friend. I simply did this so you may see what a Darksoul is, and to allow you to make an informed decision. Not all poisonous substances are chips and venom, sometimes it is misinformation. Sure, you can "harness" a darksoul's power, but unless you give in to the DarkPower's call, you are going to be a shell of your dark potential. If you forsake your dark path entirely, a new avenue of power comes forth in the ways of ascended forms you did not know you could attain. This is not to say it is right to do, as many who are gifted with such forms lock away their raw power, forsaking their instincts, and becoming trapped in the maw of moral dilemmas. What are you going to take from this today?
"I thought I did a pretty good job giving into it." Thorn chimed in. "I do consume many DarkChips daily and to be honest, I don't really try to hold myself back. They feel great. Becoming one with your DarkSoul feels great. Everything about DarkPower feels great. Well...for someone like myself, that is. I need to find a DarkInvis chip somewhere too. Something tells me I would like being able to use that everyday."

Asymptote inhaled deeply as he stared at Corrosion, the navi doing his best to articulate his thoughts as clearly and calmly as he could. All the while, before the giant of a navi could speak, his own dark soul, his other self, began to speak through him. A higher pitched, articulate voice spoke through it's "host body". An almost analytical sounding voice, compared to Asymptote's (now) baritone based
We take this from you, "Corrosion". The Dark Soul, if the host body is strong enough, can commune with it's self. There is an ancient art that was never passed down, one from the time of the original hero who saved this world time and time again. We speak, of course, of Chaos Unison. The dark soul is indeed a barbaric, powerful force of nature. But, we believe that if navi and dark soul commune together under a united banner, it's possible limits are non-existant. The voice continued, despite it's tone, the aura found around most dark souls was...somewhat repressed if Corrosion was looking closely.
The one known as Thorn...he maybe the closest to this possible outcome. He embraces his dark soul, but seems to have suffered no neural degradation most dark soul users have. We believe that only the weak, the stupid, are unable to keep their wits about them. That they become the darkloids that attack, the ones that lash out. You, despite your condition, also seem to be in some control of your own dark soul. Yet you try to scare my host body, the "reality" you see, isn't neccissarily the "reality" that is set in stone.
And just to make a point, the Poison Dragon wiggled his way into Asymptote's lap. Curling his long purple tail around Asymptote's waist, Thorn happily settled with his back pressed agaisnt Asymptote's chest and his head under the huge navi's chin. By now the bulky navi's body was completely drenched in Thorn's poison, yet said poison did not hurt. It did not burn, as if Asymptote were immune to its detrimental effects...and it most certainly was the case.
The lesser darkloid could feel some sort of feeble connection with the dragon he was holding in his arms. Mostly due to Thorn's own DarkPower flowing within his poison.
The Poison Dragon was extremely calm and relaxed in his spot within the lesser Darkloid's arms. He looked up to Corrosion.
"I don't see him trying to rip me apart." He told the mysterious guy, very much enjoying himself.
