Serix knew enough from her time with the ONB to know that if Ruin had to make his own exit, then the area was locked. That meant that all she had to do to send Rosary to new life's prison would be to delete her from this network.
"Sure. I'll even do it for free, just for you."
Serix launched herself towards Rosary, as her PET screen popped up.
"Volcano battle chip, slot in!"
Sarah shouted as Serix grabbed for Rosary's head while flying, and released the full power of the buster type battle chip with her free hand. The attack was aimed directly at Rosary's face. Serix wouldn't release Rosary, or stop flying, as she began to gain altitude while gripping at Rosary's Hair and pulling hard.
"You made a big mistake, little girl. Now it's time to pay the piper."
Serix would spin around and descend quickly, with the intention of slamming Rosary into the ground. Each second of flight, the flames surrounding Serix got brighter, and hotter.
A red navi warped in outside the barrier a few moments after Ruin's data signature disappeared. Looking around for a moment, he began to approach the hole in the Border wall. Shane's lockdown program covering the hole in question that came into view as he got closer. Sighing, the navi in red brought up a small screen with his right hand and began poking at it. All the while, Nightshade's transformation began, pulsing out to the area, the red navi paid no mind, his black visor giving him various information on the navis he could see within. As he finally reached the barrier, the panel in front of his hand dropped. As if melting away, the lockdown program in front of the opening dissolved away, allowing the navi to pass through before closing behind him.
Seeing the situation before him, with Nightshade completing his transformation and approaching Rosary with singular purpose, the navi spoke out in a bellowing voice. It seemed as if it came from all around them, as if the network was speaking itself.
???: "Nightshade.EXE! Stand down at once! This area is now under the jurisdiction of ONB Commander Blues.EXE. All navis stand down or face the consequences. That means you too Serix!"
Indeed, the navi that had walked in was the same Blues of legends lost long ago. Looking just as he did in his prime, his white hair trailing behind him and his red armor standing out amongst the rubble of the battlefield. In his left hand, his trademark red blade shone, held to his side in a ready position. He quickly surveyed the area before barking orders.
Blues: "Kajira, Get yourself patched up and restrain that navi!" Blues pointed with his blade to Rosary, who Nightshade was approaching clearly intent on deletion. Just because the area had been set to reroute to the prison didn't mean he needed the excess paperwork to sift through for deleting this navi without knowing the full story. He looked around some more, seeing many wounded navis around, likely Ruin's handiwork. Off in the distance Trishula seemed to be standing, to which he also yelled out to.
Blues: "Trishula! What are you doing here? I thought you were on another mission."

Kajira paused as she heard the voice then. She had only heard the voice a few times before, but it was enough to give her pause. She glanced back over then as she saw the red-armored Navi standing there and gave a small exhale of breath. Finally. Some real backup. That was too little, too late, as far as she had been concerned. If Blues had made his way here during the whole of the situation perhaps Ruin wouldn't have gotten away...but he'd taken his sweet time.
Then again, she couldn't deny that she was thankful for his assistance here. This was something that was going to require a fair bit of a show of strength, and someone like Blues being present would certainly help that. She glanced then, down at Nightshade, seeing the individual showing signs of what she'd seen before during their training exercise. It wasn't exactly...the same. He'd seemed like he was more in control, last time. This was pure unadulterated emotion spewing forth from him and if she didn't know any better, she'd think it was a Darksoul.
"Understood sir," the woman called, not wanting to disobey the man. He's the one who basically signed her paychecks, anyway. "Blake, you good on that recovery chip?"
BL4K3: Juuuust about. Sorry for the delay on that. There you go.
Kajira exhaled as her data was mostly restored after that, between Blake and Serix. Good. She glanced down to where Rosary still remained, the Chaos Data still emanating from her form. A bolt of lightning crashed down from above, before another struck before Rosary, Lady Lightning standing just before the other, electricity dancing up her arm. "Rosary.axa. You're under arrest for assault on an officer. Attempted deletion of an officer. Allying yourself to a known felon," she spoke, listing off a number of other things too that were only tangentially related, such as the massive destruction of property damage that she had caused from her explosion earlier.
"Come peacefully." There wasn't a request in Kajira's words.
He had a plan going forward, what with knowing Ruin would be gone before it could matter. But he had stopped his own assault regardless when Serix arrived, looking over in her direction first in a manner the same as he had Spartan before her. But he hadn't acted on this time as she kept going. He was curious on her proposal and would honestly have expected that it was a bluff on her part. But then he recalled the sort of character that he heard of the Onyx Overlord, listening to all the stories rather than cherry picking his way through them.
"If she made a straight-forward request of him, motives realized or not, for something like this he would likely agree."
It was his train of thought and knew it to be right. Honestly it was a good thing for them that Genesis hadn't actually shown then. Serix had a good plan... except for the repercussions of a fight between Ruin and Genesis full blown. Simply because it was three against one didn't mean that Genesis would hold any of his explosive power back. Even his own teammates, were they weak enough, would be scattered to the wind. And that would be because the Onyx Overlord would have no qualms against using the fight as an excuse to destroy this border. It was something that stood against his beliefs. Be it Netopia or Electopia, he would aim to destroy it either way. But that wasn't his problem yet. Plus his continued attack was interrupted by Kajira, looking down at her now.
"He was unrelated? I had assumed with his uncaring stance and his lack of wear and tear, combined with the forces you could present here, that it a four man cell that posed the problem."
He at least figured the difficulty for the entire situation had came from Jin, Rosary, Spartan, and Ruin. Seeing how Ruin, before his own attack mind, was the other person not harmed here. Sure it started with just Ruin, but there were plenty who could rally to their side if given the right words, even if Ruin was a known felon. Indeed, that was what could rally people to him even. The ability to stand up to the law enforcement of the world made others feel stronger that wanted to do the same. This empowering feeling would in turn cause them to act out in kind, as Rosary had clearly shown her lack of restraint at that.
"So you couldn't get a hold on the situation over just one navi?"
So the actual situation had been that Ruin was unscathed because he had legitimately not even lifted a finger against them. He couldn't restrain the small chuckle that came out then. Man, he sort of jumped the gun on this one. He noticed Nightshade but paid it no heed, as he was intending to go after Rosary shortly as well. Whether it was himself, Nightshade, or Serix was of little importance. But then he heard a familiar voice, Kajira noticing a brief flicker before her eyes then. Like there was something around Trishula that one couldn't see, or feel, for that matter. Whatever it was had done... something, as the ONB Commander arrived.
"I was on my way but noticed that things weren't going so well here, so I stopped here, sir! However, in my own inexperience I made a few bad calls as well."
Though he wouldn't count letting Ruin go as one of them. Better to have him somewhere they could later find him than for him to just go in reverse and back into Netopia. How could they capture someone who was out of their jurisdiction, after all?
Rosary tumbled to her right to avoid Serix's charge. The lava burnt her feet for a moment before Nightshade's freezing air froze the lava around her legs. She nudged once, nudged again, and then ended up stuck. Rosary gandered at the new approaching Navi, commander huh? Rosary had no clue who that was.
"Ehhh.. I wam uh, kindwa stwuck."
She spoke with her lollipop in mouth of course. When Kajira appeared in front of her, she crossed her arms.
"Thwis wisnt fwair... Fwine. I'll bow dwown. Nwot wike I hwave a chwoice."

Nightshade barely even turned his head at the mention of his name. He kept on walking towards his target, stopping only when Kajira herself arrested Rosary. Good. One thing was dealth with. He turned over to the breach in the lock.
Shane on the other hand was too busy with the nation wide emergency to hear his Navi's request.
"TRACK HIM!" He roared.
Shane jumped up as his PeT flared into life. "N-now hold on Nighty! Commander B-"
Nightshade cut the connection. Fine. He would track Ruin on his own. The navi began making his way towards the breach in the lock, completely disregarding anything else.

Having been only a bystander since his arrival to the Electopian Border, Spartan seemed to have caught the interest of one particular navi. The navi that has the appearance of an aircraft fired his arms unbeknownst to Spartan hitting him directly where his face should be. Having been dazed and confused from the impact, the translucent navi felt his head being grabbed upon and flung towards the explosion that was caused by the navi who everyone had a particular problem with.
As Spartan flung sporadically towards the explosion, his head began to shine brightly as the fusion of energy began to combust in his body. He then released all energy to cause a resistance in inertia to slow his current speed down leaving a trail that was created from his blast of laser. Spartan stood upside down, motionless in the air, before his body began to shift from the side to an upright position and started his descent to ground below. He remained there silent exactly the same way he has since his arrival, but it was noticeable that he has received damage from the hit and shockwave dealt by the explosion. Not bothering to question or retaliate against the navi that assaulted him.
Blues surveyed the destruction left in Ruin's wake. Cursing himself for not getting here sooner to intercept the criminal himself. Having only come off of another mission moments before, he had yet to return to New Life. Surely he'd never hear the end of it from the Officials in the Real World for not reporting back right after. Unfortunately for him, it looked like despite the darkloid having escaped, the situation was yet supressed. Seeing Nightshade walk up to him, Blues took a single step forward, crossing the full distance between him and his would-be subordinate in an instant, the tip of his red blade brought up to the enraged navi's throat.
Blues: "Inspector Nightshade, do not make me repeat myself. We've all had a rough day and I will not be tolerating insubordination."
His visor covered his eyes, though his tone spoke for what his eyes lacked. Where previously his voice was commanding, now it lent itself to a cold anger. His blade held perfectly still before his enraged subordinate's throat. Without turning his head or moving his body in the least. He addressed the remaining navis in the area.
Blues: "All navis here are to report to New Life for questioning. Nightshade and Kajira, I expect you two to meet me personally in my office for your verbal reports. Trishula, we will talk later about the results of your mission as well as your part in this mess... DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!" His yell obviously addressing all navis in the area, to which the surviving navis of the blockade weakly replied with a salute before returning to help their comrades.

"Section 5, page 342, chapter 2 section 3bis." Nightshade spatted, hooking the blade with his claws and forcing it away. "No matter what your rank is, if you attack any fellow officers your ONB affiliation gets immediately disavowed. And if you get marked as Rogue, well, you won't live this long to tell the tale. So, blondie, should we interpretate you raising your cute pointy stick my way as hostile action? Either way, I have no time to play with you. You can fire me later, I have work to take care of. Kaj is more than adept to answer your questions. SHANE!" The feline navi walked past Blues and over to the breach.
"W-what's wrong now! Can't you just let Captain Blues handle it?"
"Inform all the active officers in all precincts. We got a Lv5 security breach. Ruin.exe is on the run. This is MY problem. I am not letting that guy have his way. The more we wait the more navis are endangered."
Shane sighed. "Yes but Nighty, don't get reckle-"
"I will go on till my body is dry and till hell freezes over! I can fail everything else. Not this. If I fail this, people die. I will have him out of my country should I die trying!! Nightshade.Rx, in pursuit of the target."
Shane sighed. He knew Nightshade was dead set on having Ruin's head. If there was something the navi didn't want to eat dirt of was his job. Blues wasn't helping either. Showing up this late and leave Nighty alone against someone like Ruin for that long had been a bad decision on their end. He popped in a screen in front of Blues.
"Sorry for the trouble, Captain. But I do believe Nightshade is right. We can't waste any time talking and risk lives."

Even if part of his job was interrupted because of this incursion, his other work had gone off fairly well. And while he had done well to hold himself back, he couldn't help but start laughing. It was always amusing to see people like this. Someone who wanted to talk about rules but at the same time was blatantly ignoring rules for insurbordiation by ignoring someone. Hypocrisy was ever constant, huh? But more than that, he couldn't help but laugh at the fact that only now did the officer named Nightshade deem it fit to take aggressive action. These guys were good for him.
"Won't live long to tell the tale... says the guy who flailed about pointlessly. Heheh! Too bad that bravado's so late, huh? Hah!"
He couldn't contain his full-blown laughter, really amused at everything. Man, it was good working for this group. He actually couldn't name any faults in it now. He was all for allowing him to run off and be a martyr without a cause personally. But then that would be opposite of his job, seeing as, if they were doing this to try and save lives... why bother wasting them?
"Besides, 'Shane', if you're concerned about lives then why are you going to pursue and engage him in a place where collateral casualties are a guarantee? Not to mention that... no. No, I suppose that doesn't matter too."
The human was just trying to act on his idea of how justice worked. Pursue and fight the bad guy. In Electopia. Where he was most likely in a populated city. Now if Shane had said that the lives didn't matter, then his opinion would make more sense. But by pursuing the guy who didn't attack them already to seek out a fight, they would only cause what they were trying to prevent. But hey, folks made stupid decisions all the time. Besides, Trishula was considering something else right now. If nothing else this could prove useful for his other mission. He wanted confirmation on something and Nightshade heading out would offer that confirmation he felt.
Shane popped in front of the guy. "You clearly know nothing about Nightshade and how he does things. He had a plan the whole time. And while you came here trying to make your...look big, he was strugging to keep the entire situation under control. ALONE. With no one but himself to count on. He went in knowing he might not make it. He doesn't care about bravados. He doesn't care about his pride. Even his own life is irrelevant at this point. All he cares is the wellbeing of the people of his country. So shut your mouth or you'll have a formal complaint filed against you." Shane was serious. He would not tolerate anyone laughing at his partner. He knew how much Nightshade suffered on the inside for not being fully able to deal with the criminals he was sent out to stop and he wouldn't permit anyone to laugh or mock him behind his back.
The human would then turn his attention back to Blues. "We will keep an eye out and notify you immediately if we trace him. You don't have to worry about my partner. He knows what he is doing and he knows he cannot screw up. After the whole deal is over, I'll make sure to not bother you with anything else. The ONB doesn't seem like it really needs us apparently."
In his anger it seemed as if Nightshade forgot an important aspect of the rule he recited. Disobeying a direct order from a superior also instantly strips one of their ONB status until such a time an investigation on the matter can held. Blues was really trying to get this through so they could regroup, however, an emotional navi searching for a criminal known for causing immense collateral damage when fighting was a recipe for disaster.
Blues: "I had hoped to avoid this..."
His red blade changed to a solid white, radiating small particles as it seemed to struggle to keep its form. As Nightshade walked past the commander, his red form flickered out of sight. Shane's PET read that his area lock had been completely overridden by a much more powerful one, though it seemed that its function was still the same. Any navi deleted here would have its data instantly collected and reformed, but in New Life's Prison.
One by one Nightshade could feel something strike his arms, legs, and body, the feeling escaping each mere moments apart. Near the entrance to the breach Blues reappeared, his blade only merely showing a hilt. On Nightshade himself, the fragmented parts of the commander's blade latched onto the navi's body.
As the last word was spoken, the blades fragmented on Nightshade's body instantly tore through the navi's data. Pulling in conflicting directions as even the enhanced form that Nightshade dissipated. The fragmented blades then spun about the area that Nightshade once was before returning to Blues' blade. Completing the blade as it appeared before. It then reverted to the red weapon it was before. It was unfortunate he had to do this with so few navis. A moment of silence was had by the commander before he resumed his job, firstly turning to Shane who was likely confused at his actions.
Nightshade.EXE DELETED! Respawn Point set to New Life Prison
Blues: "Shane, It is exactly because lives are at stake that we cannot have your navi running around blindly looking for a criminal known to cause immense collateral damage when he actually starts fighting. We can't go about this recklessly. You'll be able to find Nightshade's data in New Life prison shortly. You can visit him after he gives his report and we've determined our next move."
Then, walking past Shane's monitor, Blues put his hand to the side of his helmet, speaking to someone on the other line it seemed.
Blues: "Hello? Yes, Commander Blues here... Yes... A mass recall from the Electopia border... Yes... No, Just drop all of us off in Training Room E... Inform the operators to report to their local branch for pickup... Got it. Blues Out."
He turned to the rest of the navis at the border, nodding to Trishula as well.
Blues: "Everyone! Prepare for transport! Trishula, we'll meet you there."
Blues turned to Serix to quickly respond to her question he had ignored the last time.
Blues: "We'll discuss payment in time, you'll need to talk to Navi Resources about that anyway."
As his words completed, the ground lit up beneath each navi with a reticent, marking their position, though none appeared around Trishula. A few moments passed, and in a great flash of light, each navi save the one disappeared from the network. Leaving only the lone Trishula behind in a ruined network, the connection to Netopia now completely disconnected.
