Location: The Heap Story Version: On Version Bonus: On Post Count: 1 intro, 5 battle Judgement: Single, requesting
Serix had just received a contract to take out a Navi named Xion. She spent a moment or two remembering the events of Element city, and vaguely recalled seeing a Navi there by that name.
"So, I've received a contract. It is in my best interest to fulfill it. Hopefully, I don't get killed."
Anyone approaching might notice a blue window floating next to her. A woman would come into view, and speak to Serix.
"We do this right, and we'll have navis flooding the office! Stay on guard, and don't underestimate your target."
"Right, I won't."
Serix had posted a public notice on the world BBS, challenging Xion to meet her here. She stood in the middle of an old metal working building, complete with kilns. Sparks rose up from the smoldering fires as she closed Sara's window and waited for Xion to show his face. Occasionally an old steam pipe would release a jet of vapor, and the automatic fans would pump air into the kilns to stoke the fires.
"Any time now, Xion. Don't keep a girl waiting."

*He would admit his initial reaction to seeing the challenge on the BBS was bemusement. No one had ever called him out for anything, but when they did it usually was because they didn't know him. There was also the chance of it being a prank or an actual set-up. Neither had ever bothered him before, but he would go to the designated area to confirm that someone indeed did call him out. So he had entered the old metal building, the crimson orbs of his eyes flickering to life when he actually spotted someone in the middle of the building.*
"Oh, this is an actual thing, then? Fancy that..."
*So it wasn't a prank or a set-up but an actual challenge. This was that dolled up version of a GI Joe, wasn't it? So her name was Serix? He shrugged his shoulders then, eyes focusing in on her. He had taken in his surroundings already.*
"Hate to break it to you, but I'm not all that interested in you. So I don't mind if you wait forever on me. But, since I'm already here... where's the harm in playing a bit? Take your best shot."
*Odds were this location was chosen for a possible sort of advantage, otherwise why fight inside of a doomed building anyway? His eyes narrowed ever so slightly at her words, but his neutral stance hadn't changed at all yet either. But his fingers were moving, just back and forth. Flexing as if in preparation for when they started. Either with her at his prompt or him if she denied his offer.*

"Well, you actually showed up. Gotta say, I was hoping that I would have to chase you down."
As Serix spoke, sparks kicked up all around, and the building quaked and groaned. Before either Navi could move, all of the exits collapsed in such a way as to make escape difficult, if not impossible.
"Someone put a high price on your head, and I intend to collect."
As she walked towards Xion, her image blurred for a second and suddenly there were two of her.
"As much as I would like to let you go,"
The original stated, and the clone followed up with the following.
"I simply don't see any profit in it."
The original Serix started glowing ever so faintly as she moved.
"I hope you're ready for this."
Quicker than the average Navi would be able to blink, Serix closed the distance between herself and Xion. She delivered a lengthy barrage of kicks towards his abdomen, before backing up and tossing a Molotov at him. After, which, the clone moved in and kicked at his head.
"Please, do try to keep up."
Again, Serix would speak, and her clone would follow up.
"I really want to have some fun here."

*Well wasn't that cute? A building that locked itself down. A prey locking itself in with a predator was an amusing idea actually. Was it not supposed to be the reverse here? That being said, he could name a few people who could put a bounty on him, but... huh. That thought was a bit distracting actually. It wasn't surprising that they did, but... yeah. He couldn't paint the exact picture, but he got the gist of it. Seeing two of her was nice though.*
"Double the fun. Haven't had that since Resonance."
*But was it a paperweight like his were? Well... that was something to find out shortly. Still even as she approached he stepped back to lift up his arms to meet the blow. It wasn't even to soften the blow as much as to give it a different part of his body to target. And when she launched the molotov his way he used his right hand to generate a small throwing blade that he tossed at it to catch it mid-flight. Even when the clone came to kick at his head he stayed his ground, taking the kick full on instead as his head tilted back along with his upper body a bit to move with it. So they had about equal strength in their attacks, but one was less speedy than the other.*
"The only profit to be gained from letting me go is your continued existence. But as you already stated..."
*He leaned back forward, his eyes gleaming as he did. There was no other bodily motions, and it wasn't as if glaring daggers at someone was ever actually harmful. It was always harmless, something some would mock at times even. Except right where Serix stood did darkness spark to life and explode as he held his gaze.*
"There is no profit to be gained in letting me go anymore."
*His movement next was fast enough where it could be considered warping instead. Vanishing from place, he appeared to the left side of the clone and punched at it once before vanishing again, this time to the front of it and striking again before appearing back in his starting point, another explosion of dark energy being set off from his gaze at the clone. Then in his left hand formed a ball of purple electricity, firing it at the original Serix next as a gun formed in his right hand, an onyx and silver magnum. Larger than Xion himself would commonly use. But unlike its appearance, a hail of bullets was unleashed when he pulled the trigger much like a vulcan instead.*

Serix wiped a string of data away from her mouth as she rose from the ground.
"You pack a mean punch, I'll admit that much."
The glow around her grew slightly brighter as she spoke.
"But there's one mistake you've made."
Serix tossed another Molotov at the ground near Xion's feet.
"I don't give up."
She launched herself at Xion, kicking towards his abdomen a couple more times before generating two blades that a person at a distance might think were simply on fire. However, these blades were made from fire. Fire data from within Serix's code. A moment later, one blade arced towards Xion's head, while the other sped towards his feet.
"Never forget that."
A ball of fire followed Serix's words out of her mouth.
This was when the beaten and bloody clone hopped up. After engulfing it's fist in flame, it charged towards Xion and punch towardshis head.
"Oh, right, don't forget that there are two of us. Double the fun, as you said before."
Before finishing her sentence, Serix kicked at Xion's abdomen four more times.
"Are you having fun? Because I know I am. Actually, I'm wondering who it was that sent me after you. "

*That was an interesting glow she had going on. But as far as he could tell, this one was as direct as some others were the same. But for anyone paying attention, the moment she uttered the words that she would never give up, there was a gleam of joy in his eyes then. How often did someone submit themselves as a personal chew toy of their own volition? And seemingly forever, at that? So this time rather than let the Molotov explode, he caught the next one and tossed it back at the entrance door he came in from. Sealed off as it was, he just didn't feel like letting her have that one. It was too soft compared to her actual punches or kicks. So as she kicked towards his abdomen he again didn't bother to move, taking the kick straight to the center of his stomach as he slid back, but stayed on his feet. The next were the blades, one meeting his head and causing it to tilt along with it and leaving a burn mark on it as the other caught him at his feet, at last causing him to buckle. The ball of flame being fired from her mouth though, that was an interesting one too.*
"Guess she's an actual fire-breather then."
*This too caught him and sent him back and before he caught his bearings, the clone came and punched him square in the helmet again. There was another burn mark that reminded him of Iria again, causing him to hit the ground as Serix effectively stomped on his stomach four more times after. But he still chuckled despite all of this, the hue of his once crimson orbs being purple instead.*
"Of course I'm having fun. It isn't often anymore that I get to fight with hunters or do-gooders."
*His body was engulfed, or rather, something had erupted forth from it. Having been surrounded and covered in darkness, the only thing visible being his two eyes within the reaches and depths of the vast darkness that sprung forth. Purple, as at last a twisted smile of the same purple hue showed itself as well. There was little reason to hold back on her, so he let her have his way with him, sort of. And then it dispersed, spreading out from under her before gathering once more in front of her, standing up and holding something in what could be presumed to be the left hand. An ashen reaper's scythe, the power behind it amplified by the damage Serix herself had inflicted upon him. And so he swung the weapon across in a wide arc, releasing a fiery blaze aimed to engulf Serix and the Clone both. And once more were several rounds fired from the gun, this time unleashing a massive surge of purple water and a purple tornado to go with it.*

As quickly as Xion attacked, Serix was unable to avoid his attacks. However, she wasn't about to go down as easily as her clone. The clone exploded into a pillar of flame, as the fire washed over it. Serix, however, had something designed for just such an eventuality. As the flames parted, a swirling vortex of dark energy formed around Serix. This battle was far from over. In fact, it was just beginning.
"Surprised? Did you think you were the only one who had something like this? I told you that I wouldn't give up."
Without her clone, Serix would have a tough time getting an edge on Xion. However, she was certain that all was not yet lost. She cackled a bit as her screen popped up, and Sarah slotted in a battle chip. The ground beneath Xion would bubble and crack before a small jet of magma rose up to meet him. Afterwards, however, the floor would return to normal. Serix then proceeded with the tried and true method of delivering a barrage of eight kicks to Xion's abdomen while the glow around her grew brighter still.
"What's wrong, can't keep up? Or is it that you think you've beaten me? They do say that 'pride cometh before the fall.' So, since we're going to see this fight through to the end, mind telling me if the name Ravage rings any bells?"

*He lowered the scythe and gun after, both disappearing back from whence they came. They were still tools of his own darkness after all. But seeing her rise up with that swirl of darkness caused him to tilt his head at her and chuckle instead. The small jet of magma rose up, but he didn't avoid it or anything. As it hit him, it merely was engulfed into the mass of darkness. It wouldn't stop it from continuing of course, but it was of little consequence to him.*
"A lot of people have something like that. Most of them are worthless though. Especially in the face of a particularly insane clown."
*This time he wasn't passive as she approached with her barrage. The darkness shot forward, meeting each of the kicks. It would strike the extended mass, but ultimately cause no harm to the one wielding that darkness. He chuckled again at her own words though. Talk about not following your own words. 'Pride cometh before the fall'? And just what exactly was she doing, then? She reminded him of Amethyst, which meant that she would ever and always be a nice way to kill time when she was around. Maybe be a better bat too...*
"If you didn't care to find out who Ravage was before now, why would you care at this stage?"
*He didn't hide his mocking tone at all, nor the implications that would be implied because of it. This time he lifted up his right arm, a standard battle chip being applied to it. It changed into a sort of buster that many would recognize as the Volcano battle chip. And so it absorbed the fire from the area that Serix and her operator had just set up before firing the searing blast at his opponent as he stomped his left foot down simultaneously. But something else would come up from behind her too, a series of Dark Lances honed to strike her. Afterward, purple flames rose up from his left up and started to dance around it as spheres of dark flames. With five in total, they were launched at Serix next.*

At this point, it hardly mattered who attacked who or how, unless one of them had an attack with very specific parameters. Serix had a way to add those parameters to an attack, but wanted to have a little more fun first.
"You know, I gotta say, you definitely pack a punch. Maybe we can work together some time. After all, think isn't personal. It's just business. Still, I am thankful for the opportunity to make a little extra money, and get a good workout in."
At this point, Serix was lying through her teeth, at least about the last line. She had a bad feeling that she was going to go down soon, but didn't want to telegraph that to her opponent.
"As for who Ravage is, that's the one who called me in. Though his message was a little vague. Simply said to teach you a lesson. Honestly, I'm fine taking a loss here. However, I am bound by my contract to see it through.
After she was done speaking, Serix launched herself at Xion once more, her glow becoming ever brighter as she kicked twice at his head, four times at his abdomen, twice at his feet, and twice more at his head before backing off and tossing another Molotov.
"Let's try to enjoy this a little longer."

*It was true, he wouldn't exactly hold a grudge over something as silly as this. There were bigger things that caused that. Like Turbine as one very blatant example of someone he would tear asunder should he ever see that guy somehow around again. And then he would find some dark pit to force the guy to respawn in where agony and torment would--that was close. He almost slid down that slippery slope again. He could answer her as the darkness lashed out, blocking the two kicks at the head, the four at the abdomen, the two at his feet, the two more at his head and absorbed the molotov as well. Nothing of it was left behind or anything else. But one thing Serix would notice after taking the attacks that did no harm is that her glow was... gone. The smile rose up from the dark figure once more, taking her words to heart and throwing them back at her. That was the intention behind the Dark Lances, instead finding her glow now surrounding him.*
"Gotta keep up, you know. All because you have that doesn't make you invincible. Quite the opposite can be said for many who rely on it."
*It was some worldly advice. Whether she took it or left it was up to her. The glow quickly changed hues, becoming a dark purple as it was soaked in darkness to be used for his own ends. It looked like she was storing up for a while there. But unfortunately she didn't have the experience to deal with someone, say, interrupting that when she thought she was impervious to harm. Like her he could bypass that, but unlike her he could hurt her in other ways as well.*
"But you can pitch a solid punch as well. Unless you learn to listen though, I wouldn't want to work with you for some things. Some tasks require more than a hole blown through it. As for your contractor, I won't go after him. I can tell a prank when I see one. If they were serious about coming after me, they would've hired a more renowned hunter for it than you."
*The visage of darkness flowed outward behind him. The image of a dark wave that spread all out being formed as it shattered. But it could be felt palpably in the room that he had gained a sharp increase in strength. Whatever he acquired from her and utilized for his own means, not making a move this time as the power only continued to intensify instead.*
"So I'm going to give you one chance now that the cat's out of the back to leave yourself. You can come at me again later if you feel like it since you never give up. As long as I'm not preoccupied I'll entertain you some more."

Serix was understandably weaker than her opponent. She knew this, and it infuriated her. Having further power taken from her only enraged her more. To the point where, if one looked closely, they might notice that the flames surrounding her changed to a sort of purple color. A fiery crown formed atop her head, and wings made of the same stuff formed at her back. Serix jumped into the air, as high as she could without hitting the top of the building. However, rather than returning to the ground, her wings flapped, showing their blazing feathery appearance, and held her aloft.
"Tell you what. I'm really not interested in coming after you again once this contract is fulfilled. So, how about this. If I can land even one Attack against you, you concede defeat. Then, you don't have to worry about this anymore, unless your name comes up on another contract."
The fires from the kiln raged as she dove towards Xion. She adjusted her targeting parameters so that all attacks would focus on one spot, and, as she threw the Molotov, she screamed in a manner as to mimic a hawk, or some other bird of prey. Upon reaching Xion, she kicked both feet towards his face. She threw a sword at his abdomen as well. Her last three attacks were simple. She glided around behind Xion, delivering two kicks towards his back, followed by a fireball hurled towards the ground at his feet, and finished with an emblazoned punch towards where a human's kidneys would be located. Backing off, she simply said two words, before leaning on a girder.
"Had enough?"

*He could understand her frustration at least. Years ago, he found himself forced to heel before him. Ground by someone else's foot into the pavement because they felt like it. That day was what spurred on the nightmare that he became to this day. And the one responsible for it also was no longer among them, permanently erased from their supposedly immortal lives. But since she was devoted to this, he would at least offer her his full attention, necessary or otherwise. She would obtain a treat that only two other living people knew he even possessed. Xion was cloaked in darkness, true... but that darkness became a paradox at this moment. Becoming as a white shadow that coated his entire form, it mixed and blended with the darkness. His left arm was in the white shadow, his right still in pitch black darkness. His left leg was in black, the right in white. His torso was covered in both, stripes that criss-crossed back and forth. His face area was simple, split clean across in white and black on the right and left respectively. Having claws and an extremely long tail that moved about at will, one of his purple hued eyes becoming azure. For the first time since his Dark Soul activated, his full mass was visible again.*
"I guess I can take you up on that bet. But I hate to lose one way or another, so I won't be screwing around from here on out. Either way..."
*The culmination of the power he gathered from her and increased himself would be unleashed here and now then. She was focusing this time, likely to try and get past his actual Dark Soul. All her moves were focused compared to the ones before now. So rather than dart about trying to avoid them, he would use both white and black to swallow the onslaught whole. And so a black and white orb completely encased him. Each attack slammed into the orb that was pulsing like a heart itself, steadily cracking at her attacks. With each one it beat, and then beat, and then beat yet again. As she finished, it beat still... but by this point he had spoke up to her, his voice like an echo through the mass he created himself.*
"Your little place here will have to go."
*And slowly lifted off of the ground. And wordlessly, it slowly dropped back down to touch the ground. It wasn't some grand show or anything like that until it touched down. And then it exploded outward like a warhead had gone off with the goal of engulfing the entirety of the factory. An explosive power that had grown stronger with each pumping motion it had done as she attacked, aimed to detonate the factory itself and wipe it off the map even if Serix herself made it out alright.*

Serix: I remember when I first read your RP posts. They weren't the greatest. But you've done some improvements since then for sure.
Style: 25/30. Serix is always plenty direct, and I personally enjoy that stuff. Dense as a rock on some things but she goes on the only way she can.
Articulation: 10/20. There was a lot of descriptions that were just flat out skipped.
Balance: 20/20. All Serix got going for her is going straight in during this fight. Can't be defensive but can be knocked around and punch back.
Length: 10/10. Length was fine to me.
Emotion: 10/10. Serix can only be Serix.
Judge Points: 5/10. This one is more because I remember the rule a while ago about listing the turn at the end of the post like Gen was doing in his. But you never did it, so here we are.
Total Score: 80. B Rank.
-----
Xion: And this guy is just back in his typical fashion. He's a joy entirely because he comes off as prideful but at the same time is far more calculating than not.
Style: 28/30. Xion is direct too and always on the move in one way or another. If not physically than mentally. Factoring in his opponent's way of acting leads to his many ways to completely overwhelm them.
Articulation: 17/20. Could only be so descriptive when it's said you got kicked at. Still worked out in this particular situation.
Balance: 20/20. Xion fought as Xion does. If the opponent has standard attacks, let them enjoy themselves before becoming a walking nightmare. And the infamous bait tactics return for him as well.
Length: 10/10. Length was fine to me again.
Emotion: 10/10. Xion similarly is an amusing fellow. Happy that he gets a chew toy as long as he beats her up again and again when she tries to collect.
Judge Points: 10/10. Because of the stuff at the end of each of your posts.
Total Score: 95. A Rank. +20 more for Version Bonuses = 115.
Serix: 70/700
Xion: 80/800
