Torihime stomps into the arena, her wooden getta clacking loudly on the floor. Stopping and stomping her foot down, she assumes her signature pose, feet wide apart and arms crossed, a half grin on her face.

Crescendo.exe
The man stood, and though he could not see his opponent, he heard her approach and words distinctly. A small, kind smile appeared on his face as her body was revealed to him through her words as they reverberated around. "I do not know which party we are starting...but I am curious to see what I have missed in my absence," the man spoke, placing both hands on the staff, his words revealing her to him as well.

Crescendo.exe
RP Phase: The man didn't move, at least not outwardly. Torihime would notice, but not with her eyes, that a gradual, building sound began to echo from the man's body. It was subtle, but the sound rose in tone, pitch, and all in between before it released itself in a crashing note, echoing around him in a seemingly endless rush.
Following that, a small shock wave of sound echoed from him, the environment slowly coming into focus for Crescendo as he pocketed away what was there and what was not, and where each item was, for the future. He didn't speak, didn't move, but simply...waited, as the sound radiated off of him.

Torihime's grin widens as she sinks into a lowered ready position, taking note of the mounting noise and the crashing sound rushing at her. With a quick draw and a double flick of her blade, she blocks the incoming waves of sound, absorbing the final hit and storing it, making her seem slightly stronger, before deftly returning it to it's sheath.Defensive Phase:Blocks Resonate with Natural Avoid (Shield) Blocks Sonar with Turtledove *Turtledove* Active | Shield With light-speed movement, Torihime blocks an incoming attack with her blade, Kujaku.
Skill effect: Shields a single attack
Uses: 3 per battle Activates Kingfisher off Turtledove... *Kingfisher* Active | Counter After avoiding her opponent's attack, Torihime capitalizes on the opening to strike back or build her power.

RP Phase:
The man didn't respond to the woman at her taunt, simply turning his head slightly to the side as she spoke. Nancy Boy? He wasn't familiar with that...phrase, and wasn't certain but it definitely sounded as an insult. A small frown then appeared on his face as sound began to appear around him, nearly visible as the woman came forward towards him.
The first burst of pressure barely made him move, the man simply standing, unblinking as he watched her, the sound from her attacks leeching back to her, small bits of his Sound appearing in her movements.
And then low, she lashed out, striking with the blade itself, the attack causing him to give a small wince, even if he didn't move to avoid it. And then she was gone. No, her Sound let him know she was just to his side, even before she spoke. "Not at all." he responded cordially as her last attack landed, and the male seemed, while wounded, mostly unperturbed.
It was now that he could finally 'See' her.
"Odd that a girl like yourself would be interested in this level of combat. However, I do not turn down a challenge. Let us see if you can handle the volume, hm?" he asked, the sound becoming louder, around him.
He took a small step forward then, and the sound of where he was seemed to harden, almost becoming something...solid.
The sound then seemed to be even worse than it was before, as the thing that stood behind Crescendo copied his previous movements perfectly, like an echo of his existence, even as Crescendo finally made a movement. He raised a hand, a burst of raw sound echoing outward, possibly rattling the woman's body from its presence alone as he watched her, his gaze even.
He could See her now- there was no escaping.

OOC | Just to clear up a few things. I didn't actually USE "Perch". She can't attack or do anything when she uses it. I only posted it because that's where the description of her Focus Pool is. What happened was that I blocked with "Turtledove" (a Shield skill), and her "Kingfisher" skill gives her +1 attack slot in her Focus Pool for the last S-Range attack she blocks with Turtledove each turn.
I also wanted to ask about the Resonance. I'm not super clear on how it works, but I wanted to know if it applies if the attack is avoided/blocked, as I'm not quite sure how I accrued 6 stacks. Not a complaint at all, I just want to understand.
If you want to edit your post so that you're not wasting your Resonance on cutting auras, since there aren't any currently, then that's okay. |

RP Phase:
Crescendo watched the woman, merely curious as to her reaction as she continued to offer a number of statements. His own expression was calm and relaxed, but though he didn't show it, he was amused by her behavior and exuberance. He wondered if, one day, he might have that same level of outburst. But for right now...it was impossible for him to show that.
She struggled under the assault of sonic waves, but that didn't last long before she used that interesting blade of hers to absorb that sonic resonance, empowering her.
"Come now. Show me what you can do." the taunt was simple, quiet, and without a lot of force behind it. But whether or not it was his words or her own personality that spurred her forward, she came, leaping high into the air.
Even now, he could See her perfectly, with her form holding that blade at the ready.
As she descended, the man exploded into a burst of sound, reforming a short distance away. The sound that had erupted clung to Torihime, giving him an even better view of her.
And then she vanished.
He frowned, before he felt her blade bite into his side, and he gave a low grunt. She was gone before he could react, but he could still See her a short distance away.
The force between himself and his clone continued to radiate outward, before Crescendo knelt down, placing a hand on the ground. From there, a blast of sound echoed outward, allowing him to seek her better, and find her. See her. Defeat her.

Crescendo.exe
RP Phase:
The man simply...watched her, for a moment. She seemed like she was beginning to run out of steam...which with as much excitement and effort she was putting into her attacks, he couldn't deny that it would make him just as tired as she looked. He was one who had taken a relatively...relaxed approach to most things. And that showed now, as he watched her.
Then, her blade was sheathed, and his eyes narrowed ever-so-slightly. He'd seen this before. The woman drew her blade with an incredible speed, sending a wave of force at him. Crescendo, however, merely raised his hands, a field of force beginning to appear before him.
As her strike came close, the shield was fully formed, a wealth of sonic energy stopping the burst of energy cold. However, while he was distracted, the woman appeared nearby, slicing cleanly through his Echo. A frown creased his brow, then. "I see," he said simply, before the sonic energy wreathed around him.
The resonating power wasn't nearly as strong as it had been prior, but it still sent off a burst of it at the woman. The sound moved through the air, simply causing it to shudder with each and every movement as it drew close.
To complement it, Crescendo snapped his fingers, a burst of sound appearing then, like a deafening gunshot as it raced towards the woman.

Torihime grits her teeth, and her demeanor changes suddenly in the face of the oncoming attacks. She sheaths Kujaku, gripping it's handle loosely in both hands, closing her eyes even as the attacks continue to rush toward her. The attacks collide with... something at the last minute, distorting the air in waves around her.Defensive Phase:Activates Perch *Perch* Active | Custom Settling into a defensive stance, Torihime closes her eyes in concentration and grips the handle of her sheathed Kujaku with both hands, surrounding herself in a protective aura as she charges up for a powerful attack.
Skill Effect: At the beginning of her turn, Torihime may surround herself with a barrier with 150+(V*15)HP that absorbs 50% damage dealt to her. While Perch is active, Torihime cannot attack, dodge, counter, or use any skills. Reducing the barrier to 0 HP inflicts Torhime with Berserk (Ignores Immunity). If the Barrier is still active at the beginning of her next turn, Torihime gains attack slots in her Focus Pool equal to her base attack slots, with a maximum equal to V/2 and a minimum of 1. RP Phase:
So, she was capable of defense other than simply absorbing his attacks. Interesting. He watched as a field of force rose up around her, deflecting the waves of sound. A small frown was etched into his face then as he watched her, curious what she might be attempting from here. If she was on the defensive, perhaps he might be able to play a little more...offensively.
However, the barrier shattered soon after, and what remained was, visually, the same woman he'd been fighting against, but with vastly different aura about her. She'd been aggressive before, but withheld from becoming too rash, the woman keeping a very interesting swordsman-like style.
Now...all of that was gone. An animal stood before him, waiting only long enough for him to register the change before she sprinted forward, no longer treating her blade with care as she approached.
The man merely...waited, building up a bit of sonic energy at his hands as she approached, unsure of what she might do in this new state of hers. The woman brought her blade up and leapt, the weapon streaking towards him. He lifted his hands, the weapon slamming into the vibration field. He slid back a half-step, eyes widening slightly as he noticed she was still attacking.
The vibration field was fading, but he used it again, stopping the second attack. He realized, then, that she hadn't stopped, and darted away leaving a burst of sound in his wake, leaving him slightly winded as he watched her, the woman drooling, incoherent, and seeming to be completely insane.
"Hm." was all he stated as he gathered his energy, before releasing a cacophany of noise at the other. The resonating power emanated from him before a veritable shock wave of raw sound followed, both aimed at the woman. He watched impassively, curious to see the effects of his attacks.

Almost completely unaware of her current situation, Torihime charges Crescendo again without hesitation following her previous assault, running headlong into the oncoming attacks speeding toward her. With a crash and a yelp, the attacks collide with their target as Torihime is sent reeling backward as she crumples into heap on the ground, her hair and her robes in disarray. Her ragged breathing begins to slow and calm, and when she raises her head to look at Crescendo, the rage has been replaced with her normal cocky grin, her eyes gleaming from the exertion of the fight.
Defense Phase: Resonate deals 201 damage (weakness) Sonar deals 162 damage (weakness)
HP: 0/1000 Status: DEFEATED
Torihime slowly picks herself up and gets to her feet, letting out an exasperated sigh as she dusts off her robes and fixes her hair.
"You're not so bad, there, Sound Dude. A bit noisy for my tastes, but... eh. This one goes to you, but next time... YOU'RE MINE! Heh..."
She exits the battlefield without waiting for his response, trying very hard to conceal a limp.

Crescendo.exe
Crescendo merely watches the woman as she finishes the fight, not deleted, which was good. He had no need to delete her. His own body was mostly fine, though from that last assault, he was a little spooked at the onslaught that the woman had unleashed upon him.
At her words, a small smile flitted across his face. "Nor are you. And I will look forward to our next engagement." As she walked away, a low, muted sound echoed around him before it, and he, vanished in a small shock wave of bass.
