"Limited announcement it is. Alright then..."
*Now with the overall plan settled it was time to see it to fruition. He got to work on that now then. It wasn't too hard to figure out how it worked. He just thought of the island and limited his range to speak to those that were there. Now as he thought before words weren't his forte, so here he went.*
"Citizens of the Dark Colony, I'll save you some time and say that this is Xion, the foreigner of the Dark Dimension. When the Autumnal Assault happened I saw it as a chance to flex my muscle. But then I became the governor of the place. Now this came as a mixed blessing back then. I left you to your own devices to do as you saw fit. We stand divided because of this. So allow me to tell you of my vision for the future when the dust settles here. I won't promise that this is the vision that your Dark Lord Samhain had for you. He chose me to govern in the first place, and this is what I have chosen to do as a result."
"My goal is for you to be able to do as you please. Whenever and wherever you desire. To push beyond just this simple island that we possess. For you to no longer be just expendable forces, but a part of what has become something much larger than that. For you to lead lives that please you. Not because you're simply people that are governed by me and those assigned to my side, but because you all have become a part of a whole. A whole that will continue to grow ever more as long as we stand united instead of turning against one another as we have so far."
"So now I ask you to make your choice. Do you want to stand with me and accomplish this goal together? Or would you rather stand with Xezzukhz, a man who doesn't even know what to do with his power? As always, and as always will be, that choice is yours to make."
*And with that the connection slowly closed, leaving it up to them to decide the rest as promised. Like he said, they would be able to do whatever they wanted whenever they desired. He wouldn't go about changing that even now. If they wanted to stand against him, then so be it. But if they wanted to stand with him, then he would see to it that he kept his word. He had started this climb with that in mind once he returned here, after all.*
"And there we have it. Now we just need to do the rest of our plan."

Xyzillentz nodded in approval. "Not a bad speech, if I do say so myself. You may be cut out for this politics stuff after all. So how does this work? I spew gas, AirMan blows it with his turbine, and you... bless it, or something?"

AirMan listens to the plan in silence, contemplating the entire situation with care.... and that's when he notices something.
AirMan: Not to wet your aspirations, Xion, but I am noticing a small issue on my end of this plan.
AirMan motions up through the skylight, where a storm brews above thanks to the pretender to the throne's obvious influence.
AirMan: All that lord Sammy's puppet need do is bring about strong rain or the force of a full storm to end out ambitions. My skills with the wind are great, and I have great experience with moving poisons around via air currents, but I could not out-pace a natural storm on such a large scale. To perform this plot, we must first gain air superiority, or at least figure out how our friend is controlling the weather of the colony.

After sitting in cyberspace for what felt like hours, Ichabod finally formed atop the chandelier within the castle. After confirming that he was in the right place, and that he still had the orb, he checked his surroundings below. He immediately noticed a huge hole in their plan. He watched as another navi tossed Disco kid out of the castle and chased after him. "Darn it..." Ichabod grumbled. He would have to fly solo. He knelled down to get a better grasp of the situation. Meanwhile, deep down he felt regret for not being able to help his friend. He prayed for his safety. Judging from above, he counted four of five navi. Not an army, but he was sure they were all powerful enough to crush him like an ant. They seemed to be talking/debating. Ichabod leans lower to see if he could hear some key words. As if by a miracle, he no longer needed to. A P.A was being broadcast to him, and he could easily pinpoint the navi speaking by watching his body language from above. "Citizens of the Dark Colony, I'll save you some time and say that this is Xion, the foreigner of the Dark Dimension." "Xion... he must be their leader." Ichabod thought to himself. "Then it is absolutely paramount that I succeed. The loss of their leader could dissemble their cause entirely!" As the speaker continued, Ichabod gazed at the gem of the dark magic mechanism. Once his hand comes into contact with that jewel, his mission will be a success. At the end of the speech, he continued to stare down below. Now he needed an opening. Being gunned down at the moment he lands was not preferable. But that's when the second hole in the plan appeared. From below, Ichabod watched as a much larger navi pointed up towards the ceiling. Ichabod quickly scooted back towards the center of the chandelier. "I've been spotted..." Ichabod panicky whispered. "It's now or never." With nothing to loose, Ichabod grasped the orb and leaped off of the chandelier. "You worms dare to conspire against the true Governor of these colonies!?" Ichabod screamed during his descent. " Then you shall now witness the true power of my lord, and his faithful solders!" This was the moment. As he landed, he pressed down the jewel on the orb, as instructed. He dropped the orb onto the ground, and let it cast is powerful conjuring.

A red flash filled the room as Ichabod pressed down on the jewel, and long, sinewy, powerful tentacles made of evil energy burst forth from the orb. Every navi in the room - Ichabod included - was instantly, inescapably constricted by the glowing tendrils, which wrapped tightly around them like angry anacondas. Ichabod, being as weak as he was already, was released in seconds. Others were not so lucky.
The tentacles were there to feed on the data of navis. Those assembled in the castle atrium were helpless to defend themselves as bits of their code were sucked up by the sinister strings, their power and strength draining from their digital bodies like blood from a leech's victim. The torment lasted nearly a full minute as the immobilized programs were severely weakened, with the tentacles only disappearing once the orb had reached capacity.
Once released, ElecMan collapsed to the ground with a pained sigh. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this weak - it was as if he had just been programmed days ago, not centuries. Xyzillentz managed to keep from failing over, but he was very dizzy and wobbled unsteadily on his feet as he tried to regain his bearings. He, too, could feel how much weaker he had suddenly become.
"What the..."
He glanced around the atrium to ensure that no one had been deleted, but even if they were all present, if they'd suffered the same fate as he then their collective power level would be seriously compromised.
_ _ _
OOC: All navis in this topic have been drained of 5 story versions, to a minimum of v1. To the best of my knowledge, this means the current versions of those present are now: Xyzillentz - v8 Xion - v7 AirMan - v5 ElecMan - v1 HeatMan - v1 Ichabod - v1 (unaffected)
Standard versions will be restored for all those affected at the end of the arc. This will not affect any battles or custom stories outside of main story mode.

Being the first released, Ichabod watched in both horror and amusement at the struggling navi. They were all weak now. A few of them were even as weak as he was. His eyes widened, as he watched the few who were released early collapse to the ground in agony. He should regret what he did, yet he didn't even care the smallest bit. With all of his strength, he attempted to suppress his happiness. Yet, this emotion was too strong. Out of his mouth erupted a storm of corrupt laughter. "Next time think twice before crossing the true Governor, you swine!" he cackled. He turned around, his back towards them, as he planed his next warp. He pauses halfway through and says, "And be grateful he allowed you to live! Next time, he shall not be so charitable!". Extremely pleased with his work, he warps out of the Castle, and thinks about how he shall explain his victory to Xezzukhz.

((Will work on a fancy template for Geist to post with later.))
The dissonance of voices that came from the singular being as it approached was jarring to most. To one, however, it would seem almost nostalgic. "I wanted to kill them all They will all die Patience will yield their demise Uehehehee their data is leaking everywhere."
The floating, semi-ethereal form of Energeist loomed forward in the darkness, watching as a singular navi released his words, with a fanatical devotion that made the vibrant being almost...relaxed for a moment.
Then the eyes of the creature went wide as a hand extended out toward him. "CRUSH!" he roared, but missed whatever it was by the smallest margin. Energeist's hand hesitated there for a moment, and those watching could see a face or two ripple under the surface of his body before he resumed his normal, stoic stance. "Xyzillentz...I found no way to the world of humans to destroy them..." he spoke, as if that explained where he'd been and his sudden arrival here.

+++HeatMan.EXE+++
“All adversaries who emerge meet the same fate!” _______________________________________________________
HeatMan felt sickly!
"This could be a problem," the fiery NetNavi said as the tentacle, or what left of it, had become charred. Regardless, it had done its damage. Heaving his body from the floor, the sleek box-like form of HeatMan had lifted with the press of his giant gauntlet looking hands. His beady eyes still brimmed with flames. His hands collected the remnants of the burnt remains of the aggressor that was torn from the source of the leech and he held it out as it fallen from his hands as ashes.
"Listening to you guys, I was burning up! Right now, I don't feel so hot." The fiery NetNavis hands let off a flicker as he tossed them forth in a nonchalant manner. His beady eyes narrowed at the pathetic display of his power. However, it was only with another toss of his hands, the flicker sparked into a blaze around his wrists. Even if the inferno on his appendages seemed like a dazzling display of passion, it paled in comparison to his previous flames.
He did not let it show however.
"Rest assured, that does not mean I can't still burn anyone to a crisp. After that, I feel like actually getting into some...politics. So, what's it going to be? Are you really going to light a fire under this 'True Governer' that little sizzle was talking about? " His little, burning eyes set on this snake-like figure wearing his helmet. In some way, the fiery NetNavi seemed to be making an offer to aid their cause.
After all, he had his reasons.

Xyzillentz narrowed his eyes at the collective of consciousnesses that was approaching him. Could it be?
"Geisty? Is that you?" It was something of a rhetorical question; who ELSE could it be, really? He'd only discussed the idea of breaking into the real world with one multi-souled energy entity, after all. As such, he didn't wait for the obvious reply to continue speaking. "How did you find me here? Do you even know what's happening on this island right now?"

"I was the one who found you, Xyzie..." the more feminine of the personalities within Energeist spoke up, the face moving across the unstable plasma of his chest. "I could taste your scent through oh so many networks..."
"What is happening on the island?" the deep-voice asked, usually the most tactical of the three primary. "We didn't bother to see what was happening outside and merely slipped inside."
Xyzillentz would note that the personalities definitely seemed more...self-aware than the last he had met with Energeist.
"If you need assistance, we will gladly offer our services..." the actual mouth of Energeist spoke, watching Xyzillentz. "We do not need to know why we need to destroy...only who our enemies are. Allies of Xyzillentz are our allies...who are our enemies?"

So Energeist had tracked him like a hunter. Xyzillentz wasn't sure if he found that sweet or slightly unnerving. Either way, Energeist clearly hadn't been affected by Xezzukhz' little "surprise," so he/she/they(?) could probably be of some help.
"Well, dear, to give you the extremely condensed version; there's an egomaniac demon d******** claiming he's the rightful ruler of this colony and trying to take it over. We-" he gestured broadly to everyone in the room - "Are fighting to stop him and keep control of the island for our little... 'family.' And unfortunately, the enemy has just hit us with something of a surprise sabotage. We've all had a good deal of our power drained somehow."
ElecMan clenched his fists and shouted out in anger. "I can't BELIEVE this stuff keeps happening to me! I fought MEGAMAN! I deserve more respect! I-"
Xyzillentz shut him up with a quick blast of green energy from his visor which hit Bolt Boy right in the butt. ElecMan motioned to strike back, but thought better of it, shut up, and sat down.

AirMan stares down at his hands for a moment after the pulse. He could feel his body weaken, his power drained off like water from a faucet. The feeling was one indescribable, like returning to a previous age far removed from the present...
AirMan: ...he will suffer.
AirMan's hands clutch in hatred, his normally tempered attitude eroding away to a deeply-rooted anger. Xezzukhz's tactic had not only brought about its desired effect, it also brought with it the memory of a time when AirMan was nothing more than a mafia grunt; a time that he vowed he'd never see again. With an outright blood-lust in his yellow and red eyes, he looks to the skies above and then to his associates beside him.
AirMan: His forces must suffer for this, and he himself will know what it means to feel a long and painful death. Go about your business, I have a favor to call in, and I am going now to bring this island to its knees.
With that, AirMan teleports out in a storm, leaving for areas unknown.

*So he had managed to do part A. Now came doing part B that AirMan and Xyz brought up. Well, not entirely the same, but good enough. At least that had been the plan anyway. Then that random nobody jumped down. Now he had said they could do whatever they wanted, so he couldn't be mad if someone sided with the guy they were going to kill in very short time. And not only that the guy who did it ran immediately. This... was pretty pathetic, really. Pathetic enough that unlike AirMan, who showed his anger in full, Xion remained silent for a moment before laughter started to come from him. It was brief and short, but he shook his head as it ended.*
"So their true governor not only cannot fight in a legitimate battle, but those who follow him can only run and hide. He can only resort to such petty tricks to do anything at all. This colony is more doomed than I first imagined. Someone this weak and pathetic can only serve as someone to fuel a fire."
*A fire that was his rage. He could keep himself tame around the others. There was little point in lashing out against them as he did against the masses before. Better to reserve such brutality for the one who clearly wanted it so badly. But he was also weaker than he normally would be. He would need to calm his head first before he went to go and fight the guy as planned. He had managed to hear AirMan, but had missed most of what the others had said up until then.*
"Go to the city. Hard to miss it. Jax is likely there. If you don't let him know who you're with he'll mow you down like all the rest."
*Odds were that Ruin would head there soon too. He'd go somewhere first to go and attempt to calm himself down some more. And with that he vanished in a burst of darkness. Not quite outside of the colony, but in a different place inside of the network all the same.*

Well, so much for the stinky fog of doom. And just when Xyzillentz had been warming up to the idea...
With AirMan and Xion both having poofed off to parts unknown, Xyzillentz was left alone in the castle with a few guard demons, Lightning Smurf, Energeist, and a sentient cigarette lighter he wasn't sure he could trust. "Well," he remarked to no one in particular, "I suppose it's time for a trip downtown, then. See the sights, browse the shops, kill some people. Anyone care to join me?"
"I'll-"
"Not you, Zappy. You volunteered to stay and guard the castle, remember? Make yourself at home and try not to get yourself deleted."
"But I didn't-"
"Goodbye, dear!"
With that, Xyzillentz disappeared in a digital flash.

Energeist.exe
Energeist watched Xyz speak, the form standing with arms crossed over his chest, impassive for several moments. "We see," the creature finally stated after a moment, after getting the condensed version of the story. It was an interesting predicament, but Energeist had no stronger ally than the suited snake before him.
"As we were unaffected, we will lend you our aid... Yessss, let us help you, let us destroy them all KILL! KILL MAIM MURDER!" the voices cried in unison, before Xyzillentz sought to go out somewhere, vanishing.
The creature looked down to the loud-mouthed one that had kept speaking about having fought this...Megaman. The name was one familiar to Energeist, his impassive features watching him for a moment, as if deciding if he was going to ask, before he too vanished in a burst of super-heated plasma, following after his ally.
