Yun took a moment to read the riddle aloud very carefully, taking time to adjust the torch as needed.
"A raven's wing, Its end struck by dawn. Substance or its lack Cast by a candle. A presence Made in an absence. A dagger in the night, Better known as A knife in..."
She stood perplexed for a moment, before a light came on in her head.
"The back!"
Before placing the torch in the brasier, she took the time to summon three walls (objects) of preternatural darkness to protect her rear.

The dark room goes darker. As soon as the walls of darkness are formed, the brasier glows eerily. As soon as the torch approaches it, though, the blue flames disappear, leaving only an almost imperceptible glow in front of the lady to fail at lighting the room.

As Yun makes her way to the door, her three walls follow her, leaving not even enough room for a digital toothpick to be inserted lengthwise. She carefully turned the handle, waiting for the soft click that would bring her closer to her goal, or the cease in the handle's movement that would spell her defeat.

In the dim light, no handle can be felt. The walls behind Yun begin to melt toward the brasier at the center of the room as though they were a wax that the strange darkness was heating.

Not feeling a handle, she suddenly realized that the door didn't have one. "Hm...What to do now?" Then, for some reason, she decided to look for some sort of design in the structure of the door. A design that would leave room for a sort of cryptic key.

The door is without mark. Yun's walls continue melting, albeit at an accelerating rate... the brasier's light gains strength with every passing moment. The words upon its pedestal become readable again, and seem to burn with insistence.

Eventually, Yun realized that she was running out of time. She quickly ran back to the riddle, looking it over once more. "A dagger in the night...A knife in...the dark." She waited, watching to see what would happen after she spoke these words. Would the door open to her? Or would she be forced to turn back, and lose out on what awaited her within, or be forced upon what was behind her. She could feel it's presence, as it melted away her walls of darkness. "Reveal yourself." She couldn't help feeling that someone was there. Yet at the same time, this could have been mere paranoia.

The walls of darkness at last disappear into the odd light at the center of the room, absorbed by the strangeness that had been present over the entirety of Yun's visit. It pulses once. The answer resounds... "...the dark..." ... and the door shimmers. It slides open. Beyond is a balcony overlooking the entirety of the Citadel in all its enormity, but inside the brasier boils with darkness. All becomes muted. The air thickens with every moment, the typical static from the Undernet fades, colors lose saturation... and then... a single sound. A single sound, oozing with threat...
From outside, all across the citadel, those present might notice that the flecks of static in the sky begin to flicker out like guttering candles in the dark, and stretching from the uppermost reaches of the Citadel, the sky is becoming pitch black.

Yun quickly walked out to the balcony, searching for a safe way to get up, or down from where it was. Suddenly a screen popped up in front of her. "Yun! Something strange is happening. Wait, where's Sun?" Then came the coldest reply she could bear to say. "Sun no longer matters."

*While he had been talking to Embera, it appeared as though something else was happening. Looking up, he noticed the sky was changing about the Citadel. It was becoming pitch black now, something odd even for this place of darkness.*
"Embera. It looks like something has been set in motion here."
*It could be nothing but a momentary change, a glitch to cause those who were cautious or paranoid to be leery of what was to come. Or it could be something, something that would come up that was either very big or very small in the bigger picture of things. The latter would be preferred, but things would happen as they would.*

[glow=white,2,500]*As Embera heard Genesis, she could look out to the darkness. The noise quieted and the area was pitch black. She pinched the bridge of her nose and discontently made a light-hearted remark to he Onyx Overlord with her eyes disgustedly shut.*
Embera: Tell me again why we stayed in one place for more than five[/i] minutes? Things like this happen when we're around anything for a less than extended period of time...ugh...
*Letting out an annoyed sigh, she shook her head and looked at him. It was clear that things like this have begun to annoy her.*
Embera: So are we bailing, or what?[/color][/glow]

The sky ceases, and thunder sounds across the citadels. From deep within its vaulted halls a fanfare as from hell's own caverns sounds, and the darkness of the sky coalesces upon the very balcony Yun stands upon, driving her to her knees with the sheer weight of the darkness.
????: Shhh... shhh...
A black cape begins to form amongst the energy, held up in a wide V... evidence of a navi's form is outlined, and the darkness ceases its profane flow.
????: Shhh... number 610,555... Shhh...
The cape falls to the figure's sides, and it stands to its full menacing height. Hue becomes visible again, but everything remains quiet. To massive horns protrude from the navi's shoulders, and its mechanical head flashes with intent.
????: Shhh... Shhh... Give me sport at least, puny darkling, for it has been far too long... Shhh... Ruuuuuuuuun... Shhh...

The pain hit her when her knee hit the ground, followed immediately by a fist. "I see, so you must be the ruler of this part of the net. Well, in that case, I would like to offer you my services. If you need anything done, just ask, and I'll do it. I do, of course have my limitations, but those will be discovered later on. As for the now, what shall I address my master by?" Yes, she had appointed herself as a servant, of sorts, to the navi before her. The reason being that while most would kill her in a heartbeat, this one had taken the time to actually say something.

*He had to give a small laugh at Embera's remark. Lighthearted though it was, it still held quite a bit of truth to it. As thunder sounded through the sky and the darkness began to grow together, it was clear that whatever lurked within the silence of it all was big indeed. It was clear that it was gathering at one of the citadels now too.*
"We'll stick around."
*Leaving at the sight of things wasn't one of his better points. Besides, if they left, what if it was something they needed to know for later? Guess they would have to start making their way towards its gathering point soon. Standing around wouldn't get them any closer to finding out what it was after all, though it would be a bit of hit and miss on the way too.*

[glow=white,2,500]*Embera placed her hand in her palm as Genesis gave his reply. Looks like things were finally back to normal.*
Embera: Yeah, of course we will... Well, we can go up, or down. Personally, I think if we go upstairs, I might jump, but that's just me. What's your pref?
*This wasn't a depression, or anger overtaking Embera, just...annoyance. There was never any peace, no matter where she went. Should be expected in the Undernet, but, like so many obvious things, the thought never crossed her mind.*[/glow]
