*While walking past Static, the cloaked man heard a crash. Not reacting to it as if it were totally expected. Walking downstairs, "Corrosion" met Shadow with a raspy laugh. Adjusting his hood, he welcomed him in.
Corrosion: It's been years! I know why you're here, young man, and I tell you...this shop's seen better days...
*Falling into another coughing fit, Corrosion made sure he recovered quickly.*
Corrosion: My entire stock's been cleaned out for years, and the building's in disrepair. Hate to disappoint, but there's nothin' here anymore. I know your type, Shadow, so I'm not gonna ask for your help in fixing stuff up. It warms this wicked heart to see a good megalomaniac still at large...And who's the little lass behind you? A pet perhaps?

[bgcolor=000055] “This is not the reunion I wanted at the moment” _______________________________ A pet? Seriously? That’s what she was she these days?
So far, the gelatinous program had been trailing this dusty and dank land. She had passed up so many twisted spirals of pathway and décor of skulls that she lost count of her time between her last meals. The program had her lips twisted, cheeks puffed for a pout, and her eyes rolling just hearing the NetNavi call her a “Lass.” She was anything but, however, her frustration imitated that of a raspy young girl as she reached beyond the doorway with one big step and stood near the opening at the left shoulder of Shadow.
“This better be worth my time!”
Her thoughts were kept to herself as she opened her mouth and let out what seemed like a small whimper of frustration. She made it obvious to the friend of her prey that she had no ability to speak. She simply kept lips together and eyes darting towards the figure as she only took action juggling thoughts on how to go about getting her next meal. She had to admit, if that annoying girl of a “NetOp” could not cover her, then she may have to consider using the golden-trimmed NetNavi for her little escapes.
Maybe it would be nice to seem like she had a “friend,” not that he was friendly. ______________________________ “But it will have to do for right now!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”The Zone” by The WeekendIC Attire: Megami:: Graceful Goddess {Default}Nu :: Default Chatty Ditz: Had to get a Nu post in before I get a nap.

Shadow was surprised when he actually was greeted, after a moment anyway by the navi he remembered getting one of his first dark chips from. He couldn't help smirking as he saw the old geezer. He actually could tolerate him as opposed to most navi's, but he wasn't sure if that was just because he was a reliable supplier in the past...or if he was actually someone he liked.
His smirk dropped into a ever so slight frown as he listened to the old navi speak. He never figured he would stop his wheeling, n dealing...and occasional swindle.
Mm mm a shame. I was hoping you might have had one of those rare dark chips like in the past. I haven't seen one in years. You of all people I guessed would have one." Shadow paused as his "pet" came up to his left and issued forth a whimper of sorts. He figured by now she couldn't talk, but now he was fairly certain it was fact. He wondered what she was whining about, the only thing coming to mind was the pet comment.
"Careful what you say old timer...she seems to pack a punch, and you sound like you got a foot in the grave."

The bats by his waistline gave the navi a moment of pause while his scythe dispersed... He had hoped one would be enough but he was wrong. He was entrapped and did not have a plan B. Perhaps.. ah! Yes!
Hur... Dumbstupid, there's no 'honor' here. Kill or be killed that's the only rule. Dun like it leave.
The heel navi kept one hand visible while the other slinked to his side, and slightly behind his back. The large navi slipped another darkchip into his palm and clenched it tight, activating it.
Suddenly the ground buckled down before quickly popping every navi in the area except the darkloid into the air with swift rebound. Using this as a distraction the Dopey darkloid bore the brunt of a couple bats popping at his stomach and ran away... limping himself into a certain building.
He hung himself on the door frame and flung himself around to the inside and onto the ground, hiding from the still scrambled trio outside. eruhg... Dumb bats. He muttered while scrambling through his pack, hunting for a dark recovery.

*Corrosion was taken aback by the sudden burst of guests. He wasn't particularly one for company these days, even though the exception would always remain for Shadow. Agitated now, he lashed out his hand to the heel navi's throat. Soon his neck was covered in burns both chemical, and physical. Reducing his head to a bubbling paste, he lifted the husk rather easily.*
Corrosion: Check his pack, my boy, and you'll probably find something you'll like. As for the little girl...I can see from your appearance that you're similar to a bug. You're probably hungry, ain't ya? Well, why not have a snack. He probably won't taste too good, given the Darkchips he's been getting drunk off of, but it's the best I can do.
*Lobbing the navi to Nu's feet, he brought up a rather creaky chair and sat, still making conversation again.*
Corrosion: My foot's far from the grave, be sure of that...
*Removing his hood, Corrosion looked at Shadow with half serious, half joking eyes, that flared on and off in brightness. If Shadow had an eye, he could see hairline cracks around his right temple, a sign of obvious Advanced Darkchip corruption.*
Corrosion: Power comes at steep prices, Shadow...Even if I had the rare ones, I couldn't sell them to you until you could better control them. You know I had great deals, but I'm not about to give a star customer a suicide tablet...

(( Wait, like... a page's worth of posts happens in the few hours I'm gone? T_T Whaaaatttt. I'll uh... pick up from Shast's hurhurhur.EXE.
EDIT: Okay, nevermind. Didn't notice that Team Chip Star posted right after. Edited to reflect the fact that the Heel Navi is dead'd (or so he probably is, sans head and all). ))
Silence was somewhat caught offguard. He was in the air and couldn't easily find a good vantage point. He indeed had no weapon that he could you to break his fall, and he could feel himself falling at a steadfast rate. Physics calculations were nowhere in his skills, but he was falling at a fast enough rate that he knew he would simply have to brace it, especially given his... condition.
A slight thud could be heard as the wraith-like being smashed into the ground, leaving a golden orb flying out form under his hood, rolling towards the building. On the ground, he groped around his face, as if looking for a missing something, to see if something had been misplaced, only to see it in plain sight rolling towards the building. He suddenly did a somewhat uncharacteristic action, rolling over and making a sudden mad dash towards that orb, only one of his glowing yellow eyes now visible underneath his hood. As he charged for it, one of his arms rattled for a moment, falling off as well and glowing with a black energy for a moment.
Still, he went over to retrieve his eye, bending down slowly, complete with the usual creaking noises as he picked up his eye and appeared to fixate it back onto his face underneath his hood. Looking at the now-beheaded Heel Navi, he inspected the Heel Navi's remains, in some sick fascination. His eyes even lit up more radiantly, as if he were looking upon a new tool, no... a new toy granted to him. His smile became wider, his teeth seemed suddenly sharper, and he quickly picked up the Navi's body by the leg and dragged it outside, twitching a bit as if unable to contain his excitement at finding... a corpse?
He then noticed the chips attached to it, slightly hearing Corrosion's earlier remark about "his pack." Like a child who suddenly forgot something, he stopped and dropped the body somewhat nearby Megami and Shade. He quickly searched the Navi for the chips inside of it, gathering them up, and tossed the pack so that it landed cleanly back where the Navi's body was, leaving them there for whatever Shadow was interested in. His sudden fanaticism for this Navi's body had even dwarfed his concern for the fact that he was still missing an arm--it still remained nearby Corrosion's shop, twitching a bit as if having spasms of its own.
...And proceeded to look at the Navi as if it were a Thanksgiving feast: eyes widened, mouth almost appearing to salivate.

Static patiently waited upstairs, shaking his hand wildly from the unexpected pain of Corrosion's handshake, accidentally knocking down Corrosion's chair upstairs. Pain resistance was not Static's forte.

The bats had been caught off guard, and reassembled with the main body while everyone was in the air. However, as soon as Shade hit the ground, there was a loud 'pop' as pain shot up his arm. There was no scream, no cry of agony, only a small grunt. With a limp left arm the vampiric navi found himself able to stand, watching as Silence dropped off the thing that had previously attacked them.
"I didn't have to do that, ya know. The only reason I did it was because you seem to serve some sort of purpose."
Then he turned to the girl, that had kindly helped him out.
"Not to be rude, but I could have taken that thing on my own. I do, however, appreciate your help in the matter."

[bgcolor=000055] “This is not the reunion I wanted at the moment” _______________________________ “Such terrible strength...”
Megami had said this lowly to herself as she had gotten up from a kneeling position. The Heel Navi’s forceful strength to send her dawdling through the air, but with a kick flip and a careful stand, she was able to at least make a quicker recovery. It seemed that he fled quickly, but Megami was not one to pursue the NetNavi but it seemed Silence and Shade had an interest in him for some reason. Megami’s steps were slow and careful and she walked into the building to see what was occurring.
There were hands that were shuffling through the Heel Navi’s pack and then him being discarded to the strange pink female NetNavi that caught Megami’s eyes. Her eyes widening as she was familiar with the form, Megami gasped seeing the form of the strange figure amongst them. “That’s...!” Megami’s right hand coveted her mouth seeing the figure, but she said nothing more as she watched what unfolded before her.
*THUMP!*
The body of the corroded NetNavi had been laying at Nu’s feet. Her hands went to her hips as she seemed to look up at the NetNavi who seemed to be “feeding” her like some sort of pet. She would be insulted, but truth be told she was somewhat thankful as she looked from side to side at their “company.” This was not something she was accustomed to doing this in public; after all, she was use to keep her little hunger to herself.
She did what she had to, and so the gelatinous bug denied her being.
It was not good to give herself away. Even if she seemed to have unorthodox properties of a NetNavi, she had became as in touch with them as possible from her imitative flesh, expressions, and attitude as she folded her arms and simply looked down onto the decaying NetNavi as if he was some sort of dead body that would rot with the maggots. Her nose went down to the Heel Navi and then up to Corrosion as if to say: "What can I do with this?"
The gelatinous bug had preferred viruses and lone helpless NetNavis who would wander through the Network. The release of wind from her breath had been showing bored and uncaring little sigh. She looked around towards the others with her nose up, but in her mind. “What?" she had thought, but could not convey it in words. However, the little display was enough to convey her innocent act: that she was not a data devouring Amoeba. After all, if she were to admit, that would simply put everyone on guard.
So her hunger was tamed for now.
Megami had watched, somewhat disturbed by the NetNavi’s appearance. However, just as Nu had looked to the corner of her eyes to see Megami, she had that perverse smile once again. Megami, turning a cheek to Nu, had seemed to try to ignore her. If this group was “her friends,” Megami certainly did not want to inquire any trouble. Her focus was solely focused on Silence and the vampiric-like NetNavi that was bickering. This was an unlikely combination of NetNavis that she was uncertain about, but she still needed to find some information that would benefit the ONB in this peculiar situation.
It seemed the Undernet was more dreadful than she thought if figures like that Heel Navi and the strange blob of a NetNavi was here as well. ______________________________ “But it will have to do for right now!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”The Zone” by The WeekendIC Attire: Megami:: Graceful Goddess {Default}Nu :: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

(( It wasn't supposed to resemble a cat dropping off his mouse or something in front of you guys. xD Oh well. ))
Shade.EXE: "I didn't have to do that, ya know. The only reason I did it was because you seem to serve some sort of purpose."
Ah! He was out of character. Silence placed his hand on the Navi's emblem, quickly seeming to absorb some black thing out of it as the Navi's body started to randomly spasm again. Almost suddenly, Silence returned to his typical, creaky, slow ways.
Silence.EXE: "'Serve some sort of purpose?' Then of course you are here to use us."
Silence stood up again, his arms underneath his cloak as if to brandish something. The unusually tall Navi peered out from beneath a hood, his two eyes now repaired again.
Silence.EXE: "Perhaps I should repeat what you yourself just said then. '"Not to be rude, but I could have taken that thing on my own. I do, however, appreciate your help in the matter.' If you prefer to jump in and take it for me... then that is your own decision. Do not attempt to do it and expect that because you took it... that you are entitled to having me in your debt."
Silence looked around more, realizing that now attention was on them.
Silence.EXE: "It was a potentially dangerous attack... yet I am certain that I could have survived a blow."
Silence glimpsed back towards Shade, his eyes suddenly turning to a dark orange for a moment before returning to their normal glow. His arm was still missing, though he still seemed to not be concerned about it.
Silence.EXE: "As I said before... I have no right to exist either. No one does. And if you believe I serve some purpose to your 'game,' then you best leave and find someone else to show off around."
Silence almost seemed ready to brandish something, though still something was off, since it became rather clear earlier that he lacked a weapon, not to mention his missing arm. He almost seemed to disregard that fact completely.

"I never said that the purpose involved me. You seem to have some sort of goal, and I don't exactly enjoy seeing people hacked down before accomplishing their goals."
Does this guy think I'm some sort of idiot? While thinking this, Shade noticed the girl walking into the building he had just left, and decided to follow.
"The person in here doesn't exactly like people."
As soon as he walked into the building, he saw a familiar face. It was someone that he had previously sparred with.
"Well, If this isn't a surprise..."

Shadow was all for following Corrosion's suggestion about rummaging through the pack. But then the crazed Silence apparently after a marble or something, decided he had first dibs. Shadow was going to complain, but he saw the chips Silence grabbed, and none of them looked to be interesting to him at all. Several even that he had already.
Instead Shadow looked back at Nu, Corrosion called her a 'bug'. He had heard vaguely about them...but she definitely wasn't anything like he remembered hearing as far as 'bugs'. This coupled with the fact she didn't bother trying to absorb the body he was left clueless about what she was exactly still. Not the he really cared anyway.
He heard the 'thunk' the chair static knocked over though, and ignoring the growing group of navi's he looked up wondering what else, or who else was here.
" What's with all these people?" he said, a trace of annoyance. The Undernet couldn't have been open for very long, yet glancing back across the group, he noticed one of them that stood out from the rest. Her aura of 'good' distinctly noticeable. 'Already got Light monger's exploring down here? Bah! he thought.
He had totally disregarded the fact there was an arm laying on the floor. And the ramblings of the strange Silence who was talking to one of the other navi's he had no interest in. Finally he turned back to Corrosion, and offering a delayed reply to his last statement.
"Suicide tablet? No one said I was going to carelessly use it to use it. I am not addicted to their power that way like these dregs." pausing to motion to the headless heelnavi. " I would just rather have some...insurance...if I need it." he had heard of the corruption that could befall those that carelessly used the rarer powerful Advanced Dark Chips, but he also longed to own at least one..or three or four, just to know he had their power if he so required.

Megami’s eyes closed almost completely hearing Silence refer to the vampiric NetNavi. She had not been present, but his words of a retort to Shade had made it apparent to her that he considered his presence a problem. It was a shame seeing his gesture seemed to show some sort of promise, but she thought of it no more as she turned her attention to the NetNavis that were present other than the former and the blob-girl whom she was slightly familiar with.
There were the “friends” she saw to earlier...
" What's with all these people?"
Megami suddenly felt intruding at that moment hearing the NetNavi before her. He had a golden-trimmed plating along his body and seemed to have an intimidating demeanor that reeked of a dark aura. Seeing the “aura” of others was a specialty of others, like a good judgment upon seeing people. However, sometimes, it could be masked behind emotions which drew Megami’s attention. She could not pass off this NetNavi as some threat, but she felt that she could pass off that she was somehow a threat to him as her eyes met his own for only a slight second, all which Nu had seemed to side herself next to the NetNavi and look at Megami with a smirk.
She felt more misplaced than usual.
“I apologize for my intrusion,” Megami had said politely, “I-I am only hear accompanying a ‘friend.’ I did not mean to overstep my boundaries.” she had said explaining herself in a courteous voice. Megami’s hands were kept to herself, placed upon the NetNavi Symbol upon her chest as she tried to keep them where they could be seen. The angelic NetNavi did not want to give the impression she was a threat to their being. Even in a land of feral beasts, Megami found herself misplaced as she could only look about and feel a familiar dark presence.
Familiar? Why was it familiar?
Megami had felt this feeling before from something, but she was not sure. Her hands stayed near her chest and reached about her body as if it was at the tip of her fingers. Just by moving across a slight bulk along her chest where she felt a familiar lump of her Battle Chips that she kept along her that was downloaded for her use apart from Xenneth when he would usually load them himself. However, he was gone leaving her a variety of five to use from.
Battlechips? Oh! That’s right! Now she knew...
“...Dark Chips.” Megami thought with herself quietly swallowing a lump in her throat. ______________________________ “But it will have to do for right now!” ::OOC Stats::Now Listening To: ”The Zone” by The WeekendIC Attire: Megami:: Graceful Goddess {Default}Nu :: Default Chatty Ditz: -----

(( @quick: Silence actually didn't take any of the chips. He threw the pack back towards Shadow since he acknowledged that Corrosion got the kill. <_<; He just wanted the body. ^_^; ))
Shade.EXE: "You seem to have some sort of goal, and I don't exactly enjoy seeing people hacked down before accomplishing their goals."
But of course. Most people had a goal of some sort, even if it was something as minor as appeasing someone or as superscalar as fighting for whatever this 'threat' that the two referred to was. What of that 'right to exist' or so that he was rambling on about earlier, and his oh-so-righteous reasoning to 'accompany' them?
Silence found his mind recomposed again for some reason, despite the sight of the dead Navi in front of him. There were many, many things that would go wrong had he finished what he planned to do to that corpse while everyone was here to see. He kept his eye on the corpse, but as Shade left he steadily walked over towards where his arm was, picking it up and... screwing it back into his socket. Silence walked back towards his path, going further away as if to leave, but instead with an intent to really see what was ahead, perhaps without others here trying to chastise him on 'friendship' and on what was 'honourable' so that he could hear himself.
As he walked off, he carried the fallen Heel Navi's corpse with him, dragging it still by the leg as he thought to himself the potential experiments he could perform with this... thing.
(( No innuendos. ¬_¬ ))

Opera appears out of nowhere. Again, she could have been here hours ago, and chances are nobody would notice until she wanted to be noticed. She had been scanning the code of everyone to gauge threat level, and found a major abnormality in Nu, which she probably doesn't know the name of. The timestamp for her creation seemed unreasonably far in the past. In fact... Yes, after checking her databanks, the timestamp claims that she was created before the invention of NetNavis. For plot reasons, she also notices Nu cannot speak, and she convienently produces a program designed to allow viruses to speak, starting to modify it to work for Nu.
Opera: Hello everybody! If you give me a moment, I can give a voice to Ms. Voiceless here, and she can tell us all about her history. At the very least, something must have corrupted her timestamp, because the data I'm getting claims that she was created before the invention of Navis. Unless... Nah, she couldn't possibly be that...
(OOC: Many real life programs have timestamps that say when they were created, so applying that same trait to Navis seems reasonable. Incidentally, the 'that' she refers to is Alpha, resulting in dramatic irony in that last line.)
(OOC EDIT: Also, you all realize that Megami has the highest story version in the room, with the possible exception of 'Corrosion' who appears to be an NPC and therefore not necessarily bound by story versions, right?)
