The winds cut into Syn, the Reaper showing no signs of it affecting him. The only response shown was a raising of an eyebrow. That last zephyr made it a bit difficult to close distance, and strike down the woman before him. "Are you finished...?"[/color] The scythe-user questions softly, a merely questioning phrase, before blazing a trail forward with ashened flames. With a flick of his weapon, Syn continues to hound his opponent with his flames and scythe, before slicing the ground beneath him, ripping it open as a wave of darkness ushers forward.

The woman gave a smirk; didn't this one know that there was always a calm before the storm? The gentle breezes she sent towards him were just to test him, after all. "No, my friend, that is not all. But I might ask the same of you," she responded as the Reaper's attacks fell upon her armor, barely tossing her hair around.
The storm that surrounded her suddenly picked up in speed as she watched her opponent, the winds beginning to howl. "Show me what you can really do!" she roared out as a storm of wind burst forward at Syn.

Syn takes this set of attacks, almost bending over before standing up, black flames erupting around him as a howl ushers in the Reaper's advent. "A building flame will grow to consume all. But we shall see if your winds can put out my fires..."[/color] The Reaper comments back simply, merely gazing at his opponent with impassive eyes. Contrary to her Element, she was more on the sturdy side of battling, seemingly taking attacks and returning the force back at the opponent.
With a flick of his wrist, his scythe spinning in a circle before stopping, the Dark Navi rushes forward and resumes his strikes against the opponent, aiming to bring her down.

As her attacks landed, Kajira could see that this fellow possessed the same trick as Xion, as the attacks that he'd taken seemed to stop having an effect after awhile, which led to his dark energy filling his body. "When my winds stop blowing, you won't even know where you've ended up," she spoke, giving him a smirk.
As the hellish fires began to build around her, Kajira merely shook her head. "Not on my watch," she spoke, stomping her foot downward, which caused a burst of sand to radiate outward away from her, quelling the fires and leaving nothing but a sandy wasteland in their wake. "There. That's better, isn't it?" she asked, smirking, before she began her own assault.

Syn merely raises an eyebrow. "Perhaps. Or you won't be aware of what you're blowing."[/color] He replies idly, a spark of humor coloring the Reaper's tone. It seemed as thought even with all of the changes and strikes that had been sent his way, the scythe user was still going strong, his red eyes burning brightly with the darkness that marked his cloak.
"But I can't say this situation really suits me."[/color] With a shrug, he resumes his attacks, interested in how this battle would turn out.

Kajira panted, giving a throaty cough as the Reaper's attacks continued to fall upon her. She wasn't done yet, not by a long shot, but the fact that he was able to still keep the attacks coming despite all that she'd thrown at him was something that was more than a little annoying. But at the same time, she was intrigued at his ability to survive...he mirrored her, in some fashion.
"We're well past the foreplay, boy," she said with a grin, returning his slight jab at amusement. "And it's too bad you don't much care for the sand...it's like a portable beach wherever I want to go," she spoke, before extending her hand, the winds building there.

"Are we striking home then?"[/color] Syn tries to stand against the fierce winds and sands that strike out, but the inherent natures of his own Element leave him feeling the sting of such attacks even more than usual. After the end of the assault, the Reaper twirls his scythe, before it fades away, as a sigh echoes in the area.
"Good match. Perhaps we should do this again some other time."[/color] While Syn would've rather won the fight, he wasn't going to go about the whole thing in an ill manner. A loss was a loss, the opponent before him was just more skilled.
"It'll be just as satisfying, I think."[/color]

Kajira gave the man a smirk, the winds dying down around her as the reaper's scythe vanished, leaving the two of them alone on the battlefield. "I always strike at the core; there is no better place to send one's assault," she said with a grin, as the sand trickled down from her features, pooling at her feet.
"And yes, we will have to try this again sometime. I'm always up for a rematch," she spoke, giving the other another smirk.
