Once a huge attraction for Seaside Town, the Aqua Net, a giant showcase of aquatic life on the net, still brings in tourists, but not quite as many as before.
In spite of the quiet nature of Seaside Town, the Aqua Net is a fairly active and prosperous area. Inside are aquarium showcases for actual animals and aqua-viruses, along with expansive waterways and beaches for Navis interested in getting wet themselves. The network stretches into the net-sea, with under-water tunnels for Navis who cannot survive underwater to view the depths. The area is a net-resort for all that stands as a paradox to the now quiet city it stands for, almost as if a ghost from the past not willing to accept things as they truly are.

For a resort, this place sure seemed quiet. There were tourists, sure. A few navis walked along the streets of Seaside Town, minding their own business. There were beaches and shops and motels, but none of it was... EXCITING.
Xyzillentz was making his first visit to this place. He had been coded a while ago, sure, but had just been activated recently - thanks to dumb luck and a lonely young man named Zed Vactor. Not the high-class criminal he'd been designed for, but there was potential in the boy yet... they got along swimmingly, probably because Zed was eager to have someone to get along with at all. If anything, his low standing in human society was a boon to Xyz; it made him desperate and all the more willing to commit crimes and other assorted vile acts. Besides, corrupting a frustrated innocent was terribly entertaining.
But there were downsides to this period of long hibernation as well. He lacked experience. Experience and connections - two things any aspiring cyber criminal needs desperately. So he'd been traveling around Electopia for a week or so, seeing the sights, meeting the people, and deciding how to use them all to his advantage. Aside from Element City, this had been the place he'd had the highest hopes for.
When he imagined seaside resorts, he thought of gambling, amusement parks, nightclubs, towering hotel buildings, and a seedy underbelly ripe for exploration. This place, so far as he could tell, had none of that. It was all wholesome fun in the sun.
That's not to say Xyz didn't enjoy this type of recreation - indeed, he loved to indulge in some of the finer and simpler pleasures of simulated life. Rather, he was upset that he hadn't found what he was looking for. Everyone here was distracted by their own content attitude, focused solely on relaxation. There seemed to be nobody paying attention to the navi who was wearing the full-body dark suit even though he was at the beach. Blending into the scenery could be great in battle, but Xyzillentz was nothing if not a social beast. The way he saw it, his existence was like a performance, and he needed an audience - not to mention some bit players. And if he seems self-centered, well, maybe he is. And frankly, he doesn't give a darn.

[FINALE] [00B4D7] Finale was falling and fast. He needed something to land onlike a soft looking Navi... or in the sand! He tried to land in the sand but....
CRASH!!
He landed right on top of a navi that, really looked kinda similar to himself. He landed on top of Xyzillentz and passed out, his headache worse then before...

Running from the sidewalk to the crush and froth of the waves on a particularly turbulent portion of the beach, a navi in a completely black wetsuit easily carrying two full length surf-boards came to a sliding stop. Coming to a halt just a few feet from the collision course Finale had traced across the sky directly....onto a fellow black suited bystander, Trance couldn’t help but smile at the unfortunate accident. Approaching the two navi’s nonchalantly, the grin still gracing his open features, Trance called out to them, “Well! Aren’t you two just suspicious individuals! Suited up, crashing about and making a ruckus and...not even a surfboard in sight!” The laughter in his eyes, easily betraying the light heartedness of his words, Trance lodged both surfboards in the sand beside the meteor-like encounter and offered them both hands up.
Not noticing that Finale had passed out, the vibrantly blonde haired navi had offered both hands to helping the two up. Despite the oddity of the two navi’s outer-wear which despite his joking were obviously not wetsuits like his own current attire, Trance didn’t seem worried or bothered by approaching these two complete strangers. His own oddities also displayed for all to see, as his browned scarf flickered around his neck in the steady ocean breeze and his dichromatic eyes fell with charismatic friendliness on the two.

Behind his one-way visor, Xyzillentz smiled widely. He had sustained the hit with little to no injury, although it had been quite the annoyance. Whatever inconvenience he'd encountered upon the arrival of this sky stranger was more than balanced out when he saw who was coming to his rescue. For a moment or two, the toxic navi stared silently at the newcomer, taking note of his eccentricities. Eyes that were different colors... a scarf on top of a wetsuit... and some amazing blonde hair. For a moment he even wondered if this navi was a hallucination.
Deciding he hadn't been hit hard enough to cause one of those, Xyzillentz reached up and took a hold of both of the surfer's hands, pulling himself up quickly and paying no attention to the unconscious man who slid off his rising form.
"It's strange... I come across two new people in the space of a minute, and the one who's an angel isn't the one who came from the sky." His voice was silky-smooth, the bizarrely-worded compliment rolling off his tongue effortlessly. "Thank you ever so much for helping me." Xyzillentz had not let go of the newcomer's hands when he finished speaking.

Grinning as the lower navi took his hands firmly and accepted his offer of aid, Trance was both taken by surprise and intrigue as the masked figure’s silken words seamlessly offered both compliment and thanks. Not allowing even a trickle of the surprise to manifest itself in his body, Trance only smiled wider as the navi offered his words of kindness...and not being one to back down in the flamboyance of any wonderful new meeting, Trance withdrew only a single hand and in a flourish of motion while holding Xyzillentz’ hands drew down to one knee. Lowering his head and immediately taking note of Finale’s unconscious status while his eyes were broken from Xyzillentz’ own, Trance lightly kissed the back of the new navi’s hand. Rising to both feet again he released his own grip of Xyzillentz’ hands and, his previously laughing casual tones were covered with husky overtones, “Indeed, the world is a strange...beautiful place...”, continuing with only the slightest of pauses after his slight accentuation on the word ‘beautiful’,“My name is Trance.” Despite the sudden huskiness of his voice, the enunciation of all his words were flawless and his own name seemed to hang in the air like a tantalizing offering, the staccato ‘T’ almost immediately decrescendo-ing before it all but faded from his lips.
A still friendly tone still graced his face as his lips tugged into a devilish grin, one that seemed to compliment his features as completely as Xyzillentz’ words had originally. The surfboards remained upright at their backs as the surf continued its relentless beat against the shore. The endless ebb and flow of the ever-changing ocean seemed to set the scene perfectly, as the two navi’s exchanged pleasantries in the most elegant forms.

Xyzillentz placed his now-freed hands lightly on his hips, gazing over this boyish navi. Was he flirting back? That... had never happened before. How strange. For a moment in time, he had no idea how to react. Was this waterbound navi trying to make him uncomfortable? Was he lying just to get on his nerves? Maybe he even MEANT some of it...
The darkloid decided it didn't matter. If he was speaking and acting the way he was as a form of psychological warfare, then Xyzillentz was interested in him as a kindred spirit and potential ally. If he was being sincere, then the toxic troublemaker was interested for much more obvious reasons. He cocked his head to the side as he made a playful accusation. "Trance... are you trying to seduce me?"
Almost immediately, he laughed off his own question - although he did believe it might be true. He needed some way to transition into the next part of the discussion, after all. He'd decided it would be interesting to see how this innocent-looking man would react to seeing his face for the first time.
He spoke as he raised his hands up to the base of his helmet. "My name is Xyzillentz..." He pressed the seal-release button inside the helmet with his tongue, allowing his helmet to come loose. He continued talking as he pulled the helmet apart at its seamlessly concealed hinge, splitting it open along an invisible line just below the visor. It opened at the back, and he pulled it forward to remove it, concealing his face as he finished his sentence. "...but you can call me Xyz if you'd prefer."
Xyz pushed the helmet closed again and held it against his waist with one hand, tongue flickering in and out of the mouth on his snake-like head. It was covered in shining, forest green scales, and his eyes were tinted a deep, royal purple. The look in his eyes was one of arrogant anticipation. He was expecting Trance would either be terrified by his appearance, or entranced by his unique beauty. Xyzillentz felt that either reaction would be wonderfully enjoyable.

*Well, he could go and pick her up sometime later. The dark orb formed before Xion stepped out from it, looking around to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. While normally that would mean he was looking for something to have fun with, he was here looking for something a tad it different for once. It didn't take him long to see others in the area, but he didn't approach them just yet and instead wanted to see how things played out first. While it wasn't his forte to just sit back and watch others, he at least knew how to do it and it did tie in to his original code of conduct. The older one that he had at some point in time and still used occasionally.*

Swiftly she moved, she flew over high and out of sight above the Aqua Net, and, finding Xion, homed in on him from behind. Morphing into her humanoid form, she almost greeted Xion loudly when she noticed his attention was on others, so she kept her voice quiet. "Hey buddy. Missed you in Bayside," she greeted almost playfully. She also looked onwards to the others in the area, studying them.

"Amethyst, looks like you made it out alright. I didn't actually go back to Bayside though."
*Still, it was actually good that she made it out alright. Now then, how to go about this exactly in all honesty? Well, either way actually, he was pretty certain that things were fine at the moment. For now, he was trying to recall some people on a long list that he ignored probably too often. He recalled them, but he only knew of one that would probably be active presently. It would be nice if that one hired gun that was hired a while back was around, but he had vanished a while back too. He had one in mind who likely wasn't inactive either though at least. But just the one wouldn't be enough, which was why he was eying others now while keeping up the conversation.*
"Of course, straightening out that situation or hoping the masses forget might help you out later. Then again, you might run into those friends of yours again too."

As Xyz asked his playful question Trance had little time at all, through his laughter to catch a word edgewise and instead listened intently as the navi began his own introductions. His eyes wavered to the deft movements of the navi’s fingers as his helmet was removed in an effectively dramatic fashion. The cadence of speech, the flow and ebb of Xyz’ words, whether by conscious choice or not seemed to harmonize with the sea just as Trance’s own had. Taking note of the pause before Xyz allowed Trance to call him by a nickname of sorts he curiously awaited the full removal of the helmet that seemed so...intentional.
Then his words were fading, the true face of Xyz revealed for all to see. Trance was taken aback by the sudden revelation of his serpentine nature, causing his thoughts to hitch for a moment before his mind went into overdrive. Breaking out into a huge grin and began to also laugh, Trance clapped Xyz on the shoulder and continued where Xyz had left off before, “And what if I am?” Winking at him through his light hearted laughter, the thought that dominated all others was, ’Hahah he got me there! Very effective use of intentional motion and nice use of surprise. Wouldn’t have expected that one.” Not for a moment did Trance’s laughter seemed directed towards the emerald head that was Xyz, instead it seemed to resonant with charismatic camaraderie, just as Xyz’ own had moments before. If anything at all, his laughter was directly inwardly to the foolishness of his own mind and to the wondrous events the world presented in his life.
As his laughter subsided, he gained the opportunity to more completely inspect the visage of Xyz. One that brought with it all the sinister allusions that the history of the snake had, but also the simple beauty of such perfectly enamelled emerald scales contrasting in the warm rays of light with his eyes. The varying shades of purple that seemed to shimmer as vibrantly in the light as the sudden unexpected flicker of red that was his tongue, supposedly testing the air in its newfound freedom. Trance absorbed all of this in a moment, his snap judgement deciding that this navi was indeed extremely interesting and a likable individual.
So without further ado he nodded his head towards the ocean and made a unique request, one that would have been issued without introduction had Finale not made his dramatic entrance just moments before he had arrived from his run down the boardwalk, “So, ya want to go catch a couple waves? ” Reaching back to pat the surfboard behind him, the presence of the other an obvious invitation while Finale remained resting in his sandy bed. The strangest and perhaps enigmatic thing about this request was that Trance had no experience surfing. In fact the only time he had ever handled anything similar was for grinding rails across chasms in the under belly of the networks, a very rough approximation at best. So why would a navi who had no surfing experience invite a stranger along to join him in this strange venture, especially if said stranger could have years of experience? Because it was a challenge in itself and the presence of another made it even more entertaining of course!

Surfing? Riding on waves for entertainment? Xyzillentz had heard of it before, sure, but he couldn't begin to imagine what it would be like to actually try. But he did know it sounded like something exciting and dangerous - and that was what he had come here hoping to find.
Before he accepted the offer, the poison provocateur walked over to one of the boards sticking out from the ground. It seemed sturdy enough, and it was clearly designed to move efficiently through the water. Silently, he began circling around in order to examine the other side of the board...
As he turned, two strangers entered his field of vision. They seemed to be observing the two navis by the beach, conversing quietly as they did so. It all seemed terribly suspicious... which could mean something fun was about to happen.
Xyzillentz turned back to trance, addressing him as directly as possible while putting his helmet back on. His speech remained as smooth and unconcerned as ever, belying his surprise and curiosity. "I'd love to try it sometime, darling, but we seem to have attracted a couple of voyeuristic types. Normally I love an audience..." He paused as he closed the helmet around his head, and the airtight seal re-engaged, causing a slight, brief hissing noise. "...but I'm not sure what kind of show these two are expecting. Maybe we should go find out, hmm?"

*As the group continues to speak, a single Navi walks out of the crowd, litteraly passing between the set of Navis and inland beyond them. As he does so, the Navi, unwavering in his path, bumps into Trance with enough force to cause both to stumble. The blue Navi then takes a few steps farther and turns to face the one he'd just slammed into, blood red eyes locking on as he looks up to the slightly taller Navi with obvious agression*
?: Who dares....?
*The Navi stares for a moment, locking eyes with Trance an extending the moment for some time before at last speaking again*
?: Ho-HO.... Boy, a word of advice; when chattering with your little friends, stay away from the main paths.

Amethyst watched the new navi stagger between the duo farther down and Xion and her. She cocked an eyebrow while asking Xion out of the corner of her mouth, 'Who the heck is that guy?" She wanted to go over there, but at the same time she didn't want to draw too much attention to herself, yet. As such, she set her shoulders back and watched. No matter what, something interesting was soon to happen.

Watching with delight as Xyz approached the surfboards with no apprehension but rather what seemed to be accepting interest, Trance couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement as he would soon be testing the waters with an extremely interesting individual. As Xyz’s gem-like scales flickered with an inner fire in the brilliance of the sun, a stray thought wandered into Trance’s mind, ‘Is his entire body covered in those scales? Or...is his body possibly serpentine beneath the suit layer too?’ Filing that thought away for later, Trance’s idle thoughts were almost immediately interrupted when Xyz began to speak in his silken tones and informed Trance of two individuals that were so poorly disguising their directed attention. Not bothering to confirm with his own eyes, as they were obviously hidden from view by the surfboards since Xyz had only just noticed them, Trance couldn’t help but feel a lurch of anticipation at the new development as well. Today truly had the makings of a fantastic day...one filled with tasty challenges.
A smile still gracing his youthful features as Xyz’s helmet re-sealed with a short crisp hiss, Trance responded with intrigued tones, “Well, well, well, there’s no need to let them get jealous. We really ought t-“ Stumbling forward as his sentence was perfectly broken, his eyes instantly locked on to the offending force. A navi had neatly smudged him out of his comfortable position and now was also stumbling forward. Eyes tracking and reading the path of motion in the instant as he himself was stumbling Trance couldn’t help the instinctual action from occurring. Catching his balance after a step or two, his bracelets flickered with the gentle rays of the sun as they were flailed through the air.
“Who dares....?”
The unfiltered righteous aggression was clear in his voice; a tone that resonated poorly as a greeting to Trance. Turning to directly face the navi in question his eyes scanned the horizon directly at eye level, missing the navi before finally allowing them to flicker down and meet the ochre eyes of the clumsy walker. It was a subtle passive-aggressive snub and one that could easily be missed. Momentarily retracting the more aggressive pangs and body language that were rising in response to this navi’s clear aggression, Trance intently studied the navi through his peripheral vision while his eyes remained locked on the navi’s.
As the navi’s advice was given Trance’s entire body became visibly agitated and his eyes widened in a strained look of surprise. Fingers flicking back and forth while he spoke, his shoulders rose with unsteady rhythm and his breathing was sharp and erratic, all of which were very clear signs of intensive stress. “SIR! Do you know any kind of first aid?! This navi here is severely injured!” Motioning with unnecessary force to Finale’s prone body, the pangs of worry and fear coloured his speech beautifully, “He hasn’t moved since I found him and he’s completely unresponsive! I just don’t know what to do, and...and...please sir, it’s magical you came when you did! Can you help?”
