Each strike would make landfall, though now the brute was finally within firing range of its original target. It opened its mouth to spew fire in the cross-shaped pattern at Silent Ten, harkening back to an older series that would be defunct knowledge for them now for what the Fire Blast could possibly be based off of. And just as the brute had increased aggression, so too did the bird as it picked up momentum and strength again to come down upon Navi Joe and his antics as well.

Silent Ten
As her enemies switched up their tactics, so did Ten. She carefully danced around the constant blaze of fire that was released by the brute, evading it with ease to the best of her ability. The felt herself losing a bit of her speed, and that worried her, but she kept on maneuvering about, knowing that she would find another burst of it as her tempo improved. Knowing that she needed to be able to slow down the hawk long enough to help the other one, she got in the way of the hawk.
Holding ou her hand, the metal of her suit became elastic and expanded outwards, taking in energy and rapidly modulating the waves to her need, as she encapsulated the hawk in the metallic strands. Once she was done, she returned her attention to the brute, knowing she was in over her head by a few margins at this point, but needing to find a way to deal with it, and fast. Thankfully, she was getting closer and closer to that margin with each passing moment.

The metal was able to hold the hawk down for now, leaving the brute to take the brunt of the offense from both combatants now while the hawk was removed from the equation temporarily. From the barrage of blasts and Ten's preparation, the brute continued its offense against her still as it would again spew fire from its mouth, the cross formation still growing stronger over time.

Silent Ten
Ten carefully danced around the flaming crosses once more, this time delicately picking her way across the battlefield. While she wasn't at her apex yet, she needed to finish this quickly before her enemies got the best of her. Dashing forward, she jumped up past the latest flaming cross, relying on her ally to help her evade defeat, and leaped into the air in front of the beast.
Holding out her spike, metallic tendrils emerged from her armor and became an array of spikes on all sides, each one lashing out as she drove her spike forward, putting forth an incredible amount of her own energy into the strike. The displaced wave energy erupted all at once, but didn't make a single sound as it surged from her spike directly into her target, intending to remove it entirely.

Using what time he had left, he ran forward towards Ten, unleashing an array of dynamic effects to help protect the silent one. As the last bits of flames raced towards him, he shielded himself using a rock cube, before tanking through the next one guns blazing. The coordinated strike was enough to start bringing the brute down to its last legs, but not quite to defeat just yet. Her positioning made its choice of target easy, directing its fiery crosses in Joe's direction now as it spewed them forth from its mouth. Instead to meet Ten in her position was the previously imprisoned hawk, descending now that it was free upon her time and again. The same confinement wouldn't work again so swiftly either, so now time was of the essence for them to settle things near its climax.

Ten lowered her shoulders as she fell from the air; she had been using energy to keep herself afloat, consuming noise and purifying it to create propulsion. With much of her energy depleted, she didn't have much left in her to even try to keep herself moving, landing down for the first time since she first launched to get into combat.
She stared down the flaring inferno with no hope of being able to evade it; she was spent. She closed her eyes, unwilling to stare down yet another defeat; yet another reminder that she would never measure up . . .

It was a moment, just the briefest, but it reminded her of Ace; of Arthur. Her eyes opened, and the figure in front of her was stout, sturdy, and unflinching. It was many things that reminded her of her older brother, but it wasn't Arthur. This figure was coated in ice, and as the flames crashed upon it, as it promised, it didn't move.
Centurian and he had dispatched from Warrior after he left for the Dark Colony sometime ago, and they had been traveling Creamland in search of people to help. They had done what they could where the opportunity arose, but here, with two people fighting against viruses, it seemed that the two had finally found their purpose.
Armiger watched as one fell down from its assault, having put forth every effort they had, and it just wasn't enough; the viruses were brutish creatures and were not easily felled. As the flames fell towards her, she looked away.
He couldn't allow anyone else to fall.
"No need to look away; you've nothing to fear. You can stand strong; I will never fall, and I'll protect you."
The suit of ice moved quickly, breaking down into a blizzard to maneuver across the gap and rapidly resolidify. Rather than completely consume the blizzard, as Armiger reforged himself, the blizzard kept up as strong as it could. He held forward his gauntlet, allowing the attacks to land him time and again. Each time they struck, they would find him unflinching, as the ceaseless blizzard around him intensified time and time again. Their assault ended, and Armiger still stood, staring them down with hardly a scratch on him.
"As for you? Face judgment.
The moniker of project darklight, the goal of their creations, to cast judgment upon those that would prey upon the weak. In an instant, the blizzard was let go, rolling outward in all directions as it threatened to consume the two viruses entirely.
"No mercy this time, either."
The crisp peal of thunder ripped through the air as the second navi descended upon the unwary viruses, a bolt of lightning carrying him as he aimed his spear directly for the Hawk's neck.
