The noise had at last become dense enough that the water spout was able to strike her suit with enough force to generate the kinetic energy that it could utilize. Having finally come online, Feint peppered the remaining EM Viruses with gunfire to ideally close this out now after taking much longer than she'd liked to have admitted.

The intense noise was starting to get out of hand, but the force of her blows blasted the viruses apart all the same. As the intense Noise continued to build, it resonated in the air around her. The viruses seemed to drop natural rewards, but the potential to allow the Noise to work was in the air.
EM Virus Horde
{ShuriKunai }Element: ::Element:Wood:: ::Element:Blade:: [ShuriKunai HP=500/500] [Blade Form] [ The Shuri Virus series fold themselves up into their blade to attack, making themselves invulnerable to harm.] ° For each attack slot used, the Shuri Virus omni-blocks one attack made against it. If this attack would be aimed at other targets, it automatically blocks it for all allies. Ineffective against Hits All. [Shuriken] [ The virus leaps up and throws itself forward, folding into the shuriken on its back to dash forward.] ° 50 Wood S-Damage. Increases by 10% of Current Noise and by +10 per turn. ° Hits up to four targets at full damage and effects. Cannot be naturally avoided. Fully Undodgeable.
[Blade Form] - ShuriKunai Omni-Blocks Desolation #1, but takes Desolation #2 to the blade. Overkills by 3,741 - Caps noise at 1000%.
{Gloopy }Element: ::Element:Aqua:: [Gloopy HP=2000/2000] [Drain Drop] [ When not attacking, the Goo- virus family slips down into the drain underneath it to move about, being impossible to strike.] ° Gloopy Virus attempts to Omni-Dodge any attack made against it. ° This skill fails against the first attack that is aimed at the Virus per attack the virus makes. ° Goopy always starts using just 1 Attack Slot and adds 3 each turn, then resets once it hits its maximum. [Sticky Rain] [ Gloopy rises up out of its drain and releases a torrent of oily water from its spout, falling on opponents from on high in small droplets at a time.] ° 30 * 10 Hits Aqua S-Damage. Increases by 50% of Current Noise, divided among all hits. Increases by +20 Damage per hit per turn. ° Hits All. If Hits: Soaks.
[Drain Drop] - Gloopy avoids the first Desolation, then dies to Desolation Trigger. Noise is already at cap.
[Noise] - 1,000%
Rewards: -- 3 BugFrags -- 750z -- +1 YMD - Multiply gains by 2.5x. -- +3 GMD - Each automatically upgraded to maximum.

#s://i~imgur~com/8w4a7DV~png Feint exhaled, almost as if in relief, before holstering her weapon and stepping onto the warp panel to where Burai had been waiting. Densifying all of the Noise probably wasn't the preferred way of fighting them, but she found what worked for her and that was all that mattered to her in the end. As for the spoils, she'd let the residual Noise do its thing as her victory was mostly thanks to that in the end.
" They're pesky, no doubt about that. Now then, back to navigating our way about this place. "

Burai's patience was thankfully strengthened by his promise. If nothing else, he was a man of his word, and it would have gotten him in more trouble than he'd like to be to leave her behind to deal with the viruses.
To say that was the last group of viruses Feint would be jumped by throughout the rest of their travels in the Bermuda Maze would have been a lie. As they continued moving, the viruses continued finding time to jump Feint. The results were ultimately the same; they lacked the outright killing potential, and the more she acclimated to the noise, the easier it was to control it to ensure she could get results faster.
That, and as the viruses got stronger, they blasted her suit with more effectiveness. Later groups of viruses would've been annihilated quickly for their own brute strength, before Noise could've even become a factor.
The maze, of course, only got more complicated as they went on. Burai started picking up the pace, making the horde of viruses to attack them less frequently, and at some point started radiating an intense force that practically annihilated any virus that got close out of frustration. They continued leaping across vast distances, taking sharp turns, and re-entering rooms that looked painstakingly similar only to take an entirely different path through it, as though getting into the room a second time changed where the paths led. Burai even pointedly looped around rooms and took steps towards one exit before turning around and heading towards another, as if how you traversed the room was important, too. Purposefully walking around dead ends; entering a room and standing completely still long enough for the entire room to change around them; heading towards what looked like a hole in the wave road only for it to be an emission gate that launched them forward; the complexity required never stopped going up, and the attention to detail required more demanding.
At some point, the bleak sky of the space was lit up with bright, multi-colored stars: Green, Blue, Yellow, and Red. The more they traveled, the more the stars shifted, Burai always glancing at the sky to see where the stars were, and somehow using that to decide the next route to take. Just like he had warned, a few rooms were completely devoid of light, Burai only visible due to the wavelengths he emitted despite it, and he kept his flames burning as he traversed otherwise blind.
The last series of rooms that were governed by the stars had the bright stars suddenly lose all of their colors. Burai nonetheless looked up at them, considered their positions, and made his way towards the right path on the crossroads. Finally, it seemed, they landed on a straight-forward enough path, a series of interlocking wave roads that all converged from their one platform, and then converged onto a single launch pad.
Assuming that Feint was still keeping up, Burai made his way forward. "We're at the center of the Maze, now. That last warp stream will get us to where the seal is . . ."

#s://i~imgur~com/U4Xclbh~png She had to admit, simple directions would not have been able to get her through all of... that.
" Freaky place. Anything I should know before going in this one? "
Considering how well the previous scene went without the heads up of encountering a mind-mongling enemy, it was probably best to ask ahead of time to be certain there'd be nothing to catch her too off guard again going forward.

As he stopped just in front of the orange launch pad atop the yellow wave road, Burai considered her words, and almost cursed himself. Why hadn't he thought of that possibility before this?
"There shouldn't be anyone at the center of the Maze. There is a possibility that a certain scientist exists in your time, however, that has set up her own personal little lair here. She is of no issue to me, however - it is who may be protecting her that I am concerned about, and how they view us infringing upon their lair.
"There is also the very high possibility that if the Continent of Mu is not already in the sky, and what we saw back there was just what they wanted us to see, that we may have just led them to where they would need to go to awaken it."
The last part was spoken with a bit of regret in his voice, but it was very candid. He looked around, wondering if they could be nearby, but knew that the Maze would make it easy for them to hide, so long as they didn't get too close. It interfered with his ability to read his environment with his Wave Predictor, too, which made that a non-option. There was no avoiding it, now, though.
"Whatever it is, if it is Dr. Vega and her protector, just be ready for a lot of viruses and lightning. If they are here, then they already know who we are and what we look like - we've been using the Kamikakushi, and her protector is intimately connected to the Undimension we've been using to get around. I have no idea what the state of this world would have allowed for him on this side, but I only ever landed a solid blow when his lady's safety distracted him.
"If it is the latter . . . do your best to not get in my way. Whatever they are, they're strong, and I want to destroy them."
Without much more exposition on the matter, Burai stepped forward, rocketing towards the Center of the Bermuda Maze.

#s://i~imgur~com/U4Xclbh~png Any enemy that difficult to hit was certainly concerning, and with the inclusion of viruses came the possibility of more Noise, should those be dealt with as before. It at least wasn't an entire certainty they would encounter this scientist and her protector, though. She had to wonder whether or not this was "the one" Burai had originally told her about at the start of all this, the one he personally wanted to encounter. Some sixth sense told her otherwise, but she naturally had to question it.
" Either way, what's done is done. Let's pull back the curtain and see what awaits. "
And with that, she stepped forward after Burai toward the center.
