Oblivious to the situation she found herself in, Shine trots along somewhere far off the beaten path in the Forrest Network with not the slightest care in the world. However, she comes to an abrupt halt as a wolf-ish, menacing figure crosses her line of sight.
She gasps loudly enough to be heard from whatever distance apart they may be -- an understandable gesture for one who's very life was endangered by this entity's presence. Her widened eyes and gaping mouth were certain indicators that the mere sight of this creature had her frozen in complete fear for her lif-

- ... or she was just stupid.
Nonetheless, she sprinted at K-358 at almost threatening speeds to either pet, hug, or maybe even savagely attack him as far as he knew. No otherwise offensive actions were made yet at least, but who could trust a crazy masked girl in the middle of a forest? At the very least, her affection was probably of the aggressive type.

He moved. It was all he knew how to do when he didn't have an order. While running, his parameters picked up another time scale - looping around, he surveyed her. With but a single request, he was given permission to engage. It had been a while since he could stretch his servos freely, and the last time he was en route to a target, it was under direct orders.
K-358 came to a step in front of the girl with the mask, his grey fur rippling with the green energy that flowed from the core of his body, to the tips of his claws, and to the spikes in his fur. The ebb and flow of kinetic power through his body was evident from a glance, his fur shifting with each movement, the glow emanating as the energy moved through him.
He studied his target with interest, as she stopped to stare at him in horror. He wasn't sure what exactly was so terrifying about him; he was a little less to take in than his siblings, but, the energy and spikes might have taken anyone by surpri-

The girl was running towards him, and he was largely uncaring of her intentions - he was insulted.
"I'm no puppy. See if you can keep up!"
K-358 began rapidly vibrating in place, kinetic green energy pulsing from his core to the rest of his body in intense waves. When he began moving, next, he flew forward, a green streak in his place, his movement far too fast for anyone to keep up with. What followed was a rapid burst of claw strikes, kinetic energy blasts and simple collisions that carried with them incredible accuracy and force for a creature moving at his speeds.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye from her perspective -- one moment she was running forward to claim a new pet, and the next moment she was nuked by a supersonic pooch. A talking one, no less!
" It was just a joke, geez! "
Impressively enough, she was still standing afterward and even managed to evade a few of his swings, but whether that was by skill or by mere happenstance was unclear. Now came the part for swinging back though, and needless to say her retaliation was much less spectacular than his in terms of raw... well, everything.
" Let me guess, they call you 'Bolt', right? "
Truth be told, be probably wouldn't get that reference.
That was fine though, Shine wasn't as good as others at firing shots at people so no reputation points were on the line, but as far as physical shots were concerned, she pummeled back a few times and then continued standing there angrily for the beaten she had just taken. "What a rude doge!", she'd think to herself, because of course in her own mind she was totally innocent!

He didn't stop running around her, although he did get a little slower. At some point, the blur of lines appeared to conjoin back into a single point, as if two copies of the beast had been moving about before. She threw out a wild arrow, which he slowed down just enough to intercept, drain the energy out of, and leave, wasted on the ground. Then, she did something unexpected - she threw down a smoke bomb.
The cloud of smoke permeated across the space, but, he wasn't blinded. Closing his eyes, he pieced through the meandering clouds for the dense pocket of moving mass that would be a solid object - the girl. With his ability to detect kinetic energy as his guide, he sped up around her, deftly avoiding her attacks and preparing for his own.

K-358 was more or less running circles around her at this point, but Shine was still holding out for now. Some of her strength was returning in the brief reprieve that the smoke gave her, so her adrenaline was just a tad lower than before.
A summoned entity in the smoke was enough to draw away a few of the wolf's attacks, but it was ripped to shreds almost instantly. Shine was attentive enough to learn a few things about this grumpy puppy in the short span they'd been fighting, most importantly being its intolerance of dark-based attacks.
Finally drawing her sword, Shine infused it with a dark chip in attempt to exploit that weakness. While she couldn't strike nearly as quickly as he could, the point was made clear that her intentions were clearly no longer to snuggle and cuddle anymore.

He felt the bytes in her body become revitalized with energy, moving faster than they were before. Whatever was going on, she had successfully restored her energy. He felt a direct correlation between her striking him with her weapon and the energy returning to her body, which made him a little weary.
Then, out of the darkness, he saw a blade of pure darkness emerge, the glowing blade slashing through the air at him. In a deft moment, time slowed down, and K-358 ducked down in a careful skid to avoid it. What followed was something of a continuous game of up and down as the little girl spun the blade around frantically, K-358 either dulling the kinetic force on impact or all but freezing the blade in motion to whip around it.
Then, his own speed returning to him, and her frantic flinging dealt with, he picked up his own pace, again, and went to give his counter assault.

K-358's dodging wasn't anything surprising, but the mixture of shock and confusion on Shine's face was unmistakable when he stopped her blade's momentum through the manipulation of kinetic energy. Her suspicions were at least correct in that he really didn't want to get struck by the blade, but the dark chip's infusion wore off before she was able to land a hit.
" You've got to run out of steam eventually! "
And before she would, hopefully!
Shine stood her ground as the wolf struck back viciously, using what little time she could to imbue her weapon with another dark chip. When he was finally finished, she crawled back to her feet from having been brutally knocked around by the barrage of kinetic bursts and claw swipes.
Without warning though, K-358's shadow suddenly sprung up from the ground behind him and threatened to restrain him so that Shine could finally land a hit. She wasted no time in swinging wildly once more, this time with several times the ferocity as before, in hopes to either cut him down or at least slow him down to be on par with her.

K-358 saw the malice in his own shadow and had the thought to avoid it, but, realized that he was quickly overworking himself. He decided to come to a halt and collect himself, as blade after blade slashed against his flesh.
His eyes flung open, the energy within his body overflowing as the last blade struck him. Everything slowed down - the swing of her blade, the curl of her hair, the leaves in the air. Everything paused. With a roar, K-358 threw himself at her, ready to destroy her, the energy in his body flooding all over his form.

Shine grinned arrogantly after the successful chain of attacks -- an impossible detail for K-358 to miss as she remained paused from his perspective. From her own perspective, these moments would pass seemlessly as she couldn't keep up with K-358's current pace.

Battered and bruised, but not out quite yet, Shine sprang from the stasis she was frozen in to defend herself from the wolf's brutal rampage. She was able to keep up for a good while, but just as before, he eventually out-paced her and she ended up with more cuts and wounds than when she'd started.

All she wanted to do was pet him and scratch his ears! And then it turned into all this!
An electrically charged hammer formed in her hand that she instantly swung into the ground, absolutely decimating the forest and probably all the innocent woodland creatures within it. That is, if she swung it at its full might -- she was a bit too injured to utilize the hammer's full power, so the squirrels and critters of the forest lived to fight another day.
They just lost all of their homes instead.
As for K-358, the explosive blow probably wouldn't delete him either, and she didn't want it to. Her hopes would that it'd just knock him unconscious long enough for her to get what she originally wanted and then bounce out of this place before he woke back up.

Just then, an intense wave of pure oppressive force descended, a fracture within the very fabric of the Net opening up as a cloud of red data flooded the netspace. Joker turned his attention to the girl that felled him, taking her in his sight for a moment to contemplate what he would have done with her. If nothing else, she accomplished what he needed to have had done - she tested his experiment's new abilities, and found him wanting. He frowned, looking down at K-358 again, noting that he would have to go through his data files to properly observe the fight and make adjustments as necessary, while also ensuring that any information that was relayed back to the animus syndicate didn't include him losing in this instance.
He turned his attention back to the girl, and offered her a warm smile; a stark contrast to the grimace he had been wearing up to this point. "Congratulations are in order, little girl. In this instance, you have proven that it is you who are stronger than this one. That means you get to live another day. Is there any reward you request?" Joker pointedly reaches a hand into K-358's data files, his own hand disappearing into a red stream that sent corrupted red lines arcing across K-358's data like poison running through his veins. Shine was relieved that this whole episode was finally over. Well, almost. She thought for sure this newcomer was here to scold her for ruining this would-be forest, but turns out he was just here to collect his belongings.
She made no motion toward the extracted data, non-verbally denying the offer of taking it altogether.
" I just wanna pet your dog! "
Was it too much to ask?!
Without waiting for permission, Shine reached forward and fluffed the fur on the top of the wolf-navi's head, then patted it back down repeatedly.
" See? Now was that really so bad, puppers? "
Speaking to the unconscious dog was probably silly enough to watch, but Shine worked hard for this moment so she didn't care all that much. She seemed much less grumpy now that she got what she wanted, but oh the costs at which that came.
" Thanks Mister. Also you can put his innards back inside him, I have even less need for any of that. "
If nothing else, the question one would have asked about her at the start of this ordeal had certainly been answered.
She really was just stupid.
In blissful ignorance, Shine trotted her way out of the area, perhaps in search of another doggo to pet in her endless quest to find them all.
