"Hmm."
It looked like the idea might bear some fruit after all. He would prepare for it the next time now that he saw it once. It was also blocking the others off, so it was doing its job for now.
"Keep it up."
As it took its time to swipe at Magnolia, Trishula took this chance to charge forward instead, dashing off to get closer to the disassembler. Magnolia jumped up and over the claw, crimson light flaring to life from her left arm to bring the blade down on the claw as she passed over it with the intent in mind to take it from its body soon. Trishula's words were acknowledged as well, the others going for another attempt just as before.

The beast looks on through the chaos, glaring with fire-red eyes at Magnolia as she grows near for the initial strike, daring her to move as it hisses through mechanical jaws at the swordswoman, baring its claws in a menacing show and rearing back to swipe at her...
...but then something very odd happens.
Just as she makes her initial swing and Eregion makes its own, Magnolia disappears from the battlefield entirely. The slash from Eregion then goes through her previous position and sends out a bladed shock-wave wide enough to hit the entire armed invasion force at once before Magnolia re-appears behind Trishula for her follow-through, turning her blow against her own comrade.
Eregion then bares its claws and hisses again while lowering its head, the light from its eyes bathing the entire area in blood as it stands as the guardian to the entire point of this assault. Unwavering, unflinching, unfearing in the face of its assailants.

"Wha--"
That was one way to deal with her, but she wasn't quite expecting it at the time. The same could be said of Trishula, who had been wanting it to use its ability, but then it had used it in a manner that he hadn't quite accounted for. And since he had gone forward, he hadn't quite noticed that Magnolia had disappeared until he heard the others get struck by the guardian, causing him to look back... to see Magnolia appearing beside him and poised to strike at the same time.
"Trish, mo--"
He wouldn't make it in time so he had to prepare for the backup plan instead. But her blade came through the air and clashed with something then as a hollow ringing resounded through the room for it. And as soon as it did the crimson light erupted in an explosion that was greatly stronger than Magnolia's initial strike to the surrounding area as a whole. But as it erupted the explosion condensed itself into a sphere and launched itself at Eregion instead with all of the force paked together, Trishula's hand open as though he were guiding it as he placed his other hand on the ground, a flash happening briefly over it as a sort of force aimed to drag the Eregion from its position and into the blast before it could move as Magnolia touched back down on the ground, eyes narrowing in a sign of annoyance.
"...Well that sucks."
"It surprised me, so we have to take it in stride."

Eregion releases a metal-shearing roar as the split-second attack from Trishula and Magnolia forces it to step back, very obviously taking damage as evident from the cracks that form on its body-armor. This betrays a very crucial fact about the dragon-like beast; though unique in offense, its defense is sorely lacking when compared to Gate's other soldiers, such as the Shadow Devil or High-Max.
...but it did make up for the weakness in other ways.
The Eregion hisses as it re-gains its footing, once again baring its claws threateningly. It then looks back and eyes the pod holding Alpha, and then back to the group, lowering its head as it does so. Raising its claws, it swipes back and rips both pods off of the WWW computer and holds them in front of itself in a manner similar to a make-shift shield, hissing and daring the duo of high-speed fighters to move.

So to make up for its ability, it was a bit more on the wise side of things. Which made it a little bit more problematic. Problematic because based on their own approach it could tip their hand more than they intended. They considered that could happen given they weren't always against a group of... straight-forward individuals. In for the penny, in for the pound, then. Revealing this card by itself wouldn't be as bothersome as some of the others, if only because for someone like Gate he wouldn't hit too many major snags at dealing with it one way or another later.
"Trish."
He kept his hand on the ground, but the Eregion could feel it too. Like an invading force went through it, the pods, and more in the area. Then it focused whether than stay that way, on the pods themselves that the machine soldier held. And not unlike what it had done with Magnolia, the pods vanished for a moment, removed from the battlefield. A moment that the other high-speed fighter didn't miss a beat at taking advantage of. She had launched off in an instant, the red light of her sword taking to a cyan instead as a series of ten bladed waves were set upon it. For its claws, legs, head and torso all together.

The Eregion looks at Trishula as Magnolia gives the signal, but quickly has its attention taken as the capsules that it had been holding disappear. It looks shocked for a split second, but then its eyes slide back to magnolia... with a sly glance. Raising its arm as if still holding onto the capcules, it motions as if to block above the speedy girl as she attempt to slash, and this would be when a key factor would make itself known:
Despite Trushula's attempt, the capsules had not been removed, simply turned invisible. Magnolia's attacks fail, and instead slash the capsule holding Alpha badly. After the strikes, it only takes a moment for the capsule to re-appear, showing extreme structural damage as the Eregion seems to almost laugh in its silence, taunting both Magnolia and Trishula as he waves Alpha's capsule back and forth.
...but this wouldn't be the only problem. As Magnolia attacked, she would feel it; the field around them was beginning to take effect. Each slash was slightly weaker than the last, almost as if it was observing every move that they made, adapting to their presence...

So Trishula just on his own couldn't get the desired results. No, it wasn't just that... so that's what it was. Small wonder happening upon the lab wasn't something so simple for them. Gate had been operating on a scale that, honestly, was larger than they had anticipated. In return to the Eregion's sly glance, Magnolia couldn't help but sneer back.
"My apologies."
"Good grief. Of all the people to underestimate, it had to be Gate of all people. ...This one's our loss, then."
They had priorities and this infringed upon them. It was adapting to them which was a problem. It was alright for that to happen, but not at this stage. The light in her weapon silenced itself, muted for now. And then like the times before, there was a brief sign of a signal, a strength that Rosso, Glint, and Trishula had each shown before. The difference was unlike theirs, the source of the origin for hers was incredibly unclear. What else could be noticed was that Magnolia's slashes had each changed at a different pace, as if each attack wasn't following the same pattern despite being done back to back as they were. The blade flickered back to life then with the same cyan, Magnolia pulling back. Their goals clearly having changed from capture now and leaving this attack's outcome to chance was also out of the picture.
"Stella."
She thrust the weapon forward, keeping it plain and simple. What happened next was unlike the others too. It was an attack of blinding speed, aimed to destroy the machine if it landed or anything between the machine and it.

As Magnolia powered up, she would feel... a presence. It was almost as if something within this field was trying to hold her back, trying to keep her power from being able to manifest itself, almost as though she couldn't breathe. However, in the end, she would win out. The Eregion once again hisses as Magnolia holds her weapon out, holding out the Alpha pod in a threatening gesture before it realizes what it's facing.
Magnolia's new attack would undergo the same reaction that her basic moves had seen when she first entered the area; a brief spark, a slight flicker, and then the release of full power as expected. Despite the speed, the Eregion attempts to dodge the blow, but takes the brunt hard. With the sound of metal sheering and a fountain of white sparks, Magnolia's strike severs Eregion's arm, causing the appendage to fall lifeless to the ground with Alpha's pod rolling out of its grip. Eregion, now acting more like a cornered animal, recoils from the attack and takes a step back. In its shock it sees the pod and begins to reach for it, but holds tightly to the remaining pod as it backs farther and farther down the platform, slowly building distance as it does so.

This was... a presence? It was more than just a field? And it was trying to hold her back, but didn't feel like an enemy at all. It was almost suffocating, yet it still didn't come off as malevolent despite this. Wasn't it just like... it garnered her interest thanks to this too. They were going to have to investigate this further. After she was done here, taking steps forward to close the distance between them.
She had taken the arm that was being a problem as it were. It wanted the pod but also couldn't afford to drop the one it still held and building distance... was it planning on getting away? She wouldn't allow it so easily, Trishula moving to get Alpha's pod as she braced herself for the presence once more just in case. But since this was just one of Gate's weapons this would be no more than a bad dream for it when she was done. But this time the attack was even faster and sharper than before... and not singular at that. What looked like one strike had become three in reality, not one to play with her food as much as Rosso did before in his confrontations.

Eregion's eyes glare past its hostage capsule as it looks to Magnolia with disdain. Every moment or so it glances back to Trishula as it continues to back up, hissing at the swordswoman as she makes her final approach. It knew that the next attack would finish it regardless of the field's powers. Its eyes dart around the room for a moment before looking back to Trishula, giving a glare, and then turning back to Magnolia.
As Magnolia reels back for her final blow, Eregion brings out its own final gambit. Eregion suddenly drops the capsule and slashes its remaining claw in a wide arc in front of itself at the moment of the final blow. Like before, a void opens in front of the beast and absorbs Magnolia's attack. But as it does so, an unexpected attack rises from the network tear; the volley of fire that Trishula had released at the start of the fight emerges like lightning and rains down on Magnolia's position, bombarding her with the silver commander's power. At this same moment, a second rift opens directly above Magnolia, dropping the earth-shattering triune bladed slashes that she had just released with killing intent down back onto her own head as the Eregion looks on with a sneer.

Eregion's gambit was a solid one... and yet, Magnolia's own sneer hadn't left at all. The silver commander's rain and her own fell upon her immediately as a hollow ringing went through the air with each strike. And as soon as it a light flickered instead, Trishula's volley and Magnolia's own attacks that had struck her growing stronger, faster, more deadly than they were before many times over before they changed targets and launched once more at Eregion, almost as if they were resonating off of themselves. It was a trick that would be very effective against plenty of others... but it had a much more unintended result when applied against them.

Eregion had played its last card, and it was a card that played directly into the hands of its enemies. With a screech that sounds like metal being forcibly ripped into pieces, Magnolia and Trishula's combined force overwhelms Eregion, splitting its body as it recoils one final time. Eregion roars in anguish as it reels away, finding itself too damaged to continue. With one final sneer through its pain, the Decompiler goes limp and falls off the edge, disappearing into the blackness below and leaving the second capsule on the platform

"Look at it going out in style. I can respect that."
Trishula moved over, securing the second pod as well. She was glad for his overbearing frame compared to her much smaller one, but it was time for them to go. Glint hadn't... oh, that made sense. Suppose the facts were laid out on the table for them. A presence was felt then, not emanating from either of the two themselves. But it was here that a rift opened up, possibly a portal of some kind that the invaders started to pass through, exiting with what they came for. It took them more effort than they were expecting, but the best laid plans, as they say...
