"Hoh... This place has been quite well preserved. Yet, much is different." Legacy remarked as he watched over the sprawling city... While also making a slight scene. The rather eerie by all measures navi was currently standing on top of a guard rail on a large building, casually reading a brochure of the area as a tourist.
Yes, here in Netopia, the architecture was quite rooted in history which Legacy actually found quite familiar. He wasn't sure how long ago it was, but he was certainly here long before. Yet, this place seemed quite a bit more youthful and trendy than he recalled. "Might this be the effects of further globalization? Or simply a thriving economy. Ahhh, how interesting! Ka-ka-ka!" He clapped his hands together, making a distinct sound of metal striking metal.

Out of the blue, a wild virus flied past inches from his nose, embedding in the concrete wall to the navi's left. The force of impact destroyed it, leaving just a bunch of fluttering data. A faint tip tapping could be heard as a navi approached. Sporting a black catsuit with green highlights and grey armor, he stood at roughly 6'2. Most interesting about him were the tail waving behin him and the open toed boots that allowed a pair of clawed feet to poke out. His helmet too was exotic looking. Overall, the sleek navy loosery resembled a cat. Hestopped short of Legacy, studying him with his blue eyes. "You're alright there? Did I hit ya?"Visual reference

"Mu?" Legacy looked up from his brochure having watched a virus fly by his face in his peripheral vision. The loud smash into the wall nearby him was probably good enough indication that the virus was neutralized, thus didn't warrant his attention anymore.
"Oho? A local? Worry not, I am fine." Legacy gave a cheerful, although somewhat metallic sounding laugh. His lack of facial features gave him an unreadable expression, however he was looking over the new arrival carefully. He could tell, this one was a strong one. Legacy wasn't a match for him, was what his intuition told him. Well, it wouldn't hurt to make a friend of him in that case.
"That was quite a entrance that you made there! Come to enjoy the view as well?"

"Kinda ,yeah. I've been after that little virus for a while now. Name's Nightshade. Nightshade.Rx" The navi introduced himself. My, what a strange one this was. Be it his look or his antics, there was something curious aboiout the robotic figure in front of him. The cat navi extended his right hand forward at Legacy for a proper meeting. From the voice, it would be clear he was still relatively young.
"What brings you here?" Nightshade asked with a curious tone.

"Well met, Nightshade! My initial name has long been forgotten and discarded, so I go by Legacy now." Legacy shook Nightshade's hand with a bit of vigor behind it. The feline navi was a somewhat curious sight, although the irony of him thinking that was entirely lost on Legacy. He seemed cautious of Legacy to some degree, although the fact that he extended a greeting at least suggested that he didn't have any harmful intentions.
"Myself? Well," Legacy pointed upwards somewhat dramatically. "It's said people grow stronger through adventures, and if one is going to adventure, it should be a big one! Well, put shortly, I am a tourist, taking in a new world to me. Umu." He nodded to himself, as if agreeing with his own quote.
"Now what about you? I assume you've concluded your business of virus hunting if that crater you left is any indication." Legacy pointed at the now damaged wall next to him from the virus impact.

The cat navi looked at the crack in the wall he left. "Ahh...eeeh...ooops?" He muttered with a sheepish smile under his black mask. "You are right on that one though. Eheh..."
The little cat navi hopped forward past Legacy to look down on the streets, his feet paws suddenly completely silent. If he wanted, it semed that he could sneak around pretty well. Kinda of a given seeing his resemblance to cats. Nightshade waved at someone before turning back to the newly met navi. "A pleasure to meet you, Legacy. If you're here as a tourist I guess there could be a few places I could show you. Would you like a drink, perhaps?"

"Ka-ka-ka. Mayhaps a bit carried away there?" Legacy chuckled at the damage. "Well, if we say nothing, everyone will be none the wiser." The feline navi apparently let out his strength a little more than he had meant to in the middle of a populated area. Experience and brute force aside, perhaps he was just a bit young still.
"Umu. Perhaps this meeting too, was fate. Very well, t'would be my pleasure to join you! Lead on!" This was convenient for Legacy since now he had a guide. Well, it would be a different story if Nightshade was after something, but Legacy couldn't feel any dishonesty from him. From his appearance, he seemed to be the type to avoid a head on fight, but Legacy could feel his attitude was quite straightforward.
"It seems much has changed here through the centuries. As expected, merely researching the effects of time makes for a small impact compared to seeing it yourself!" The rather old navi was rather impressed at just how far along things had come.

Nightshade happily hopped to Legacy's side then in front of him. "Uh? Time? Past? Are you... ARE YOU ABLE TO TIME TRAVEL?" He gleefully exclaimed, hopping all around the other navi. "That's so cool!" He added, his tail twitching with excitement. "Did you come from our future? How do things look there?"

Legacy paused to stare at the younger navi before laughing loudly. "KAA-Ka-KA! A time traveler am I? You say some interesting things, boy!" The conversation took a slightly strange turn, although Nightshade seemed to be misunderstanding what Legacy meant.
"Quite the opposite my feline friend, I am from a time long past. It could be said that you're from MY future!" Legacy seemed amused by the prospect. Well, to Legacy, this certainly seemed to be the world of the future. It was hard to say really. "Nay, I know not just how long ago I was created. I do seem to have some memory of this place when it was freshly programmed, but much of my memory has corrupted after being left inactive for so long." Legacy tapped the side of his head, as if showing a screw were loose.
"Perhaps this is what a human would call going senile? Well, it matters not. Far too long has passed for that information to be relevant, and should fate mean for me to recall my memories, then it will happen in due time."

Nightshade slightly tilted his head sideways. "Oh...hm. You're a weird one. But you are still cool. Well then, first stop of our trip is Golden Grin. It is a beautiful pub right in the center square. It's real famous too! Lotsa important navis go there. Voices sat that their service is the pest in the entire nework!"
Nightshade resumed walking by Legacy's side. "You said you have few memories left of your time, do you still remeber how to set and execute Battle Routines in case a virus comes to nag you? I could show you how if you need help." He offered.
To be fair, the huge guy seemed to somewhat scare the little cat navi with his imposing stature and freaky past. Still, he seemed a ok navi overall. Nightshade chuckled. "And I just know the right place for that! It looks like an arcade and you can fight various people and..."
He kept going and going on all his favourite spots in town, going to great length in describing each one of them.

"Oho? That does sound inviting indeed!" Legacy wasn't sure if he was compatible with the concept of eating for navis, although his systems did initiate a rather lengthy update before waking up. For all he knew, maybe he could actually drink things unlike other navis from his period.
He followed Nightshade who was explaining stops in the city in high spirits. The idea of arcade simulations of fights in particular seemed to tickle Legacy's interest. "Indeed I do remember how to fight. It seems my instincts have not faded, although I fear I may have gotten a bit rusty. The sentiment is appreciated however." While he didn't feel too powerful ability-wise, he could feel that fighting was second nature to him, and that sometimes something in him would kick in and compensate for his mistakes at times. Still, he could feel that he was far from the limit his strength could grow.
"This 'Arcade' sounds most intriguing! Perhaps dueling against others would be the best way for me to grow. To test my mettle and continue to grow in power with others, a most thrilling prospect!"

"That's the spirit! First though we could do something about your code. If you come from the past, your source code must be so ancient! You missed on alot of updates and general improvements. With such outdated specs it will be hard trying to draw out your inner potential."
As Nightshade was speaking, he didn't notice that the two had stepped into some strange purple mud. Nightshade's boots seemed to have some advanced programming within them allowing the cat navi to be able to walk and run on almost anything. From water to...whatever that was.
The goop would soon spread to cover a good portion of the street, making it difficult to move around. By now legacy would find himself ankle deep in it.

"Hmmmmn..." Legacy made no sudden movements after immediately noticing whatever he was walking in. It didn't seem immediately harmful, but it affected his movement slightly from the depth. Subconsciously, emerald green particles began emitting from within Legacy's armor as he was put on guard.
"Nightshade, it seems now is not the time for small-talk. Keep your wits about you." He said as a rifle materialized in his hands. The purple sludge seemed like poison, hardly suitable for a greeting. He doubted he'd be much help as it stood, but it wasn't in his personality to immediately flee without confirming what his opponent was.

Nightshade recoiled, puzzled at the sudden mood shift. "Uh?" He muttered, looking down at his paws. Soon after that, the poison like substance slowly rose from the ground, coiling around Legacy in what could have been described as a very weird hug.
"Well, then, Nighty. Why don't you introduce your new friend to me?" The goop spoke. Slowly, it solidified into a defined shape. A purple dragon, one with distinctively dark powers no less. A darkloid through and through. Yet, he did not seem hostile. He was more playing cat and mouse with the two navis. The dragon chuckled and inched closer with his snout to Legacy's face. A mischevous and cocky grin was pasted on his muzzle, his two green eyes boring into the other navi.
Nightshade shook his head and sighed. "Legacy, this is Thorn. Don't worry. He does that with anyone."
"Hello there." The dragon greeted, letting the other navi free and using his long tail to boop Legacy's forehead. "Nice to meetcha."

Legacy didn't put up any resistance as he watched some kind of reptile materialize out of the purple goo on the floor. As usual, his expression remained unreadable... Especially since he didn't have any features to display emotion with. Still, he couldn't feel any real hostility from this new... Thing that quite literally popped up.
As soon as Legacy was poked in the head, his entire body fell backwards, shattering and disintegrating into the same green particles he had been emitting before. "Ka-ka-ka! Your friend too has an interesting way of making an entrance." Legacy reappeared a few short steps behind, his body fully intact. "Greetings, I am called Legacy. Pardon me for that trick of my own, I am not entirely in control of that." Legacy's defensive programming had subconsciously regarded to what it deemed a threat, but Legacy refrained from making a move on his own since he didn't feel malicious intent, only mischievousness.
"You're quite the interesting one yourself! Might you be some sort of chameleon type navi? Well met!"
