The residential area of Creamland, a beautiful and peaceful bit of the world. Right now, however, a good portion of it is on fire.
Navis scream and run for their lives in unison as large areas are outright demolished. Among the smoke and rubble, a single Navi is seen.
In the middle of it all stands NapalmMan, looking into the fire and smoke with intent eyes and holding his silence...

Many people would withdraw from this situation instead of run to the fire. And once the Knights had reached the scene and spotted who it was, they had buckled and retreated as well. He was a ghost in this world, but a myth that was withstanding among those who listened to those hushed whispers about the man who changed it all. But there were still some confident enough to come through both flames and smoke to reach the navi in the midst of this demolition site.
"You know sending a message to someone is probably the less criminal way of getting a response, right? Smoke signals are pretty cool if I'm being honest."
She had finished her prior engagements after all, so it was likely no surprise that she had returned to the place she had openly admitted was her affiliation before. Magnolia stepped through the rubble, though not quite with the same smile as she normally had on her face. She was a bit perplexed on if she should or still be at him for what he got away with last time. She settled for both, which is why she had a bit of a blank expression while her tone carried its usual silvery lining.
"Although a bit dated at the same time. Just like some people I know. So maybe a post card would have fit like a glove too? Though writing might be a bit hard for you, so napalm and brimstone's cool."

This.... uugh. NapalmMan's burning green eyes turn to Magnolia as she appears, looking at her with... worry. His eyes dart between Magnolia and the wall of fire, weighing the situation for a moment... before teleporting away.
An unexpected move given the chaos, which left Magnolia the choice of the n-
NapalmMan: GET DOWN!
Without a moment of warning, NapalmMan literally tackles Magnolia from behind with his cannons crossed, tumbling into a fall as he does so. Barrier or not, the sheer momentum would force her clear... as something emerges from the destruction. A large-disk like body slides out of the flames in a manner similar to a gigantic, solid steel hockey puck and crashes through the area, leveling literally everything along the way as it crashes past Magnolia and NapalmMan, resting a few yards away from them.
NapalmMan: You've studied me, so did you miss the part where I used to be the ONB commander and have never attacked residential areas?!
NapalmMan gets back on his feet and stands against the strange mechanical visage as a second being appears from the ash and rubble, hovering in the sky as it draws near.
The second being flies out from the rubble, hovering slowly yet surely until it rests above the first. At this point the entire scene would be made obvious.
This was not two beings, but rather two halves of the same being. The lower half appears to be made from solid steel, sporting heavy plating and anti-gravitational pads that allow it to hover mere inches off of the ground. The upper half is a skull-like, monstrous head, filled with wires and exposed circuitry that appears similar to veins and muscles on an organic being. The entire lower half of this thing is lined with teeth, and its true purpose is made clear as it suddenly halts all forms of propulsion and slams onto the lower half with a multi-ton crash. This is a lesser-known monster of the WWW than beings like the Shadow Devil, but terribly effective all the same. This is the D-Rex.
NapalmMan: ...that was always more Gate's speed.
D-Rex: World 3 Demolition Engine
-The base of the D-Rex is invulnerable and impossible to lift -The underside of the upper half is vulnerable, but protected by the lower half from most distance attacks. -Should a Navi be crushed between the top and bottom halves, it is unavoidably fatal

He hadn't met the resistance of the barrier as he came for the tackle, though she hadn't tried to avoid it either. She would say it was record time for the manhunt, but honestly, this was probably a bit slower all things considered. Well now came trying to make a comeback, to which she had one that she already knew didn't exactly pan out. This guy was always managing one over on her...
"Well, considering Giga City... yeah, you might be right."
Was that one to blame on NapalmMan or on his opponent being there? Though he did isolate his opponent before the fight, so it could still be reasoned he didn't exactly hit the residential area. Another notch on his belt of smart comebacks to get at her. She would leave out the part of the other commanders who actually got called dumb for not fighting in residential areas, but considering it was just that silly kitty calling them that his opinion wasn't very valued anyway.
"...He's still old too, y'know."
It was her jab at Gate for that one too. And to be fair, they had in fact attacked him fairly openly first. So this sort of move would make sense even if NapalmMan wasn't on top of it. Well, this situation could be turned into one of mutual benefit then. Besides, her last encounter with Gate had been cut short in both occasions. So seeing this through with one of his agents all the way was more than fine with her, getting up herself as her trademark smile returned. This could be a catalyst of its own too, actually...
"This is at least thirty percent one of your goons too, so knowing how to dismantle it should be a no-brainer, right?"
Her tone wasn't attempting to hide the playful yet serious nature behind it, even if her eyes took on a dangerous sheen as the differing energies started to form around her left arm. She could already tell that a certain someone would be disappointed that he wasn't here instead, but straws were straws.

A figure hopped down from a tall building and as soon as his paws lightly touched the ground, the area around him flooded with crystal clear water. It would be enough to halt the fire's advancement...for now. The slim silhouette would approach the other two navis walking at a calm pace.
"BattleChip: Rainy Day, slot in."
The flooded battlefield would slowly dry up, nothing but a thin layer of water remaining as the majority of it was used to trigger the Chip's side effect. Rumbling clouds would form up above and rain would soon fall, enough to soak anyone under it. In this case, it would be more than enough to put out the fires destroying Creamland. The cat navi walked past the two, taking notes of the location of the disk that attacked them as well as the position where it came from without interrupting their chat.
He swiftly found the high ground once again, or at least something elevated to grant a better view of the pace, moving one paw forward and one backwards in a defensive stance. His tail wagged around in low slow arcs.
So that was how to quench the lust of battle he felt within him. It seemed that he could no longer shy away from a challenge. Well, at least until he found a way to fully control his newly acquired feral instincts. Nothing but a minor setback, given the power he had gained in return. Besides, he did need to train himself with them if he wanted to be effective...although he should usually make sure their always were a last resort. Using such powers would raise questions and grab unwanted attention.
First things first, he would need to find out who or what he was fighting. Although the situation seemed familiar at least. Then he would need to find their weakpoint. After that he would strike. For now, he'd better conserve his energies.
Nightshade's deep blue eyes twitched around, the juuka ready to react at any threat in any direction. Only something akin to the Devil could cause such destruction. He would not underestimate his new opponent.

NapalmMan's cannons hum to life as he looks on to the D-Rex, looking it over.
NapalmMan: Closer to 60% in this case, actually. Its weak-point is its head, but...
As the D-Rex repositions itself and begins tanking stock of the two new faces, NapalmMan raises a cannon and fires a volley of flame-vulcan shorts at the mechanical engine. However, one by one the shots are deflected by a blue force-field projected from the lower half of the D-Rex, leaving the shots entirely ineffective.
NapalmMan takes a step back. He'd figured that this would be the case.
NapalmMan: Okay, guess you were right; it is about 30%. Gate re-designed it... most likely to counter me directly. The weak-point is its head, but we're going to need to figure out how to actually get to it.
NapalmMan widens his stance as he studies the D-Rex, watching its movements as it prepares its next assault.
NapalmMan: And you know that calling me old is about as insulting as calling me purple, right? You've got a lot to work with here, at least try to be a bit more creative.
The D-Rex releases a small blast of steam and closes its eyes for a moment. Its head then hovers up from its base, taking a position as if the demolition engine had opened its impressive maw. Now in position, the lower half of the D-Rex suddenly slides forward like a steam-roller moving at break-neck speeds, leveling the ground and not stopping at its target, instead crashing into the buildings behind and demolishing them in an instant. The head then follows suit, staying low to the ground and arcing around and through several homes, causing them to fall to rubble and a plume of smoke. The head of the beastly machine then seems to almost leap from the cover of destruction, slamming down on NapalmMan's position with a multi-ton slam that quakes the network with its sheer force.
The size of the D-Rex and the close-quarters made evasion hard. The body's ability to clear paths effortlessly made things a bit easier, yet the rubble and smoke that it generated also managed to cloak its movements to some degree... amazingly.
The Storming Bomber, assuming that Magnolia could care for herself, makes a quick dive to the right of the D-Rex's body and is swept up in the resulting rubble-wave that its destructive actions creates. He then re-positions himself atop the newly formed heap and looks to the head, knowing how it would follow-up its attack. NapalmMan holds his ground until the moment that the D-Rex's head is above him, at which time he fires a single bomb upwards at the head's chassis and dives to the side again, narrowly keeping himself from the same fate as the 8-foot deep pile of rubble that now stands roughly one inch tall. This is when NapalmMan turns back to the body, watching it without attacking.
NapalmMan: It has a general pattern; body attack, head attack, repeat. Don't rely on it too much though.
NapalmMan looks back to the head, motioning to Magnolia as he does so.
NapalmMan: It used to have a weakness to bladed weapons. Try to hit it while it's away from its body!

Oh, the kitty. This was a day of chances some could say. One such chance had slipped by before a while ago with the cat navi in question. He had been a pretty active guy as of late, though he had missed the thing that she would have liked for him to do. But some things just happened to get away when given the chance. Like the agent that Nightshade had encountered. Too bad about not deleting that one, but some things slipped from your grasp.
"Thirty percent is a pretty good ratio at least. Besides, purple has a nice meaning to it so it isn't exactly insulting unless you got a problem with colors. But that's for later."
Like those guys who didn't like pink for example. As the steam came out her own stance widened, doing a leap upward as it started its charge to go over the lower half of the body, her sword extending out and swinging then. It didn't appear to hit the lower half, but she had done a swing at it all the same. She got down low for the incoming head, swinging her sword then as well without apparently hitting the target, things NapalmMan had seen her do before in their last encounter.
"For now I'm on the case."
This was as much a weapon for NapalmMan as much as it was a bait for her. She could appreciate that gesture. The blade extended longer than the short sword it was before, a few times larger than she herself was as she blurred off and closed the gap between herself and the head before it could get back to the lower half. And then the flurry of strikes was set off, about twenty just then before she moved back as well instead of maintaining somewhat close quarters with it.

Individual strikes hit one-by-one from Magnolia's unique weapon, coming out in a flash and striking multiple times per single blow. Every strike hits, yet every strike also resounds with a sharp, metallic "PING" sound. Despite breaking through the barrier with her close-range strikes, every single blow from Magnolia clashes hard against the apparently plated hide of the D-Rex.
NapalmMan holds his position as Magnolia strikes, watching for any signs of weak-points and openings. However, few reveal themselves... save one.
NapalmMan: It's been plated to resist blades, but the base-structure still has to be there. Do you have anything else to hit it with up-close?
The D-Rex now springs back to full power, raising its floating head just above the ground as its eyes shine bright red. With a twitch and another burst of steam, both the head and the body roar to life, orbiting one another just off the ground and several yards away from each other as they begin to level more and more of the area. The pace speeds up as the two halves begin closing in on NapalmMan, breaking everything in their way as the roar of the D-Rex's demolition screams out amid the flashes of fire and plumes of smoke of the now bleeding network.
NapalmMan curses under his breath. The D-Rex still had its sights on him, and its basic strategy was a terrible match for the storming bomber. NapalmMan barely evades the initial blows by aiming both cannons downward and releasing a set of bombs that burst with massive kinetic force, knocking him away. From there, he takes off running in the opposite direction. While decent at running, NapalmMan had never been exceptionally fast, as is evident when the D-Rex's ground-razing strikes draw near. Out of options, NapalmMan waits until the head makes its closest possible pass before firing another set of explosives forward, causing him to instantly reverse course and fly towards the demolition engine. However, the momentum from this attack turns out to be lacking, as the body swings around before he can be blown clear and grazes him in mid-air. The force of this strike bats him into the center of the orbiting D-Rex, sending him tumbling from the force. Recovering as quickly as he can, NapalmMan takes a knee and takes stock of the situation as best he can, keeping tabs on both halves as they center the Storming Bomber in their whirling onslaught.

It was likely a weird response to expect from someone who had their attacks deflected, but Magnolia had a sort of smug sneer on her face after it happened that those watching her could catch. It spoke of too much confidence, backed by some knowledge that wasn't unveiled yet. But before she could act on it, NapalmMan's voice reined her back in, returning back to her more casual smile instead. It was still gunning for him from the look of it, and she supposed it wasn't as though she 'lacked' other means of attack.
"Sure. Make sure to keep it in mind as well and keep your distance from me until I say otherwise."
It was a tip that he could know as it kept attacking him, but this time she charged straight at it. It didn't appear as though she had any weapon handy, gunning straight for the storm's upper half where the head would be. Upon closer inspection however, the ground itself seemed to have been picked apart down to its seams. The air had grown stagnant with each space she moved through or was near, like whatever was around her was assaulting things down to its very core, the very environment itself. And it was when they were going to make their collision that it ran straight into the same unseen force as before. Except this time it seemed to possess an extremely volatile attribute, the very same that was erasing everything else with such haste. It didn't eat through the D-Rex as quickly as everything else, but it was pushing outward too, attempting to drive it away from the lower half so it wouldn't just lower itself back down to it. The revelation that it could service as more than simply a defensive measure.

Nightshade hid behind cover as the battle raged on, but still kept himself in a position where he could observe the fight. When Magnolia began doing her strange attack, the kittle Juuka scrambled for his communication device. Good thing he had a photographic memory. He dialed in a number, setting the call as anonymous. He didn't remeber if he was calling Mistair or Vanguard or hell even Rosso. As soon as someone answered, he would pull the screen over to the edge of the building he was in.
"No time for our feud bull crap. That's Magnolia. She's down there with an ex ONB, Napalman fighting another of Gate's contraptions." He pointed at the navi charging the D-Rex. "And whatever she is doing smells of Ultimate Program. Either she somehow found a spare GetAbility or I would say that thing can still kill any navi with ease. Rosso included, seeing as it's dematirializing the very fabric of the net."
He got back to cover. "Listen, I am stupid naive idiot. I get it. I'll accept the responsibilities of my actions for the screw ups I did. But right now we need to act fast before that power she has destroys everything. I need someone with a functioning brain to tell me what to do, 'cause my last ideas clearly weren't that brilliant." He pleaded.
He sheltered himself from an explosion happening nearby. "Please help me." He spoke again with a sincere and desperate tone. "I thought becoming a juuka would give alot of power and I got cocky."
He would hang his head low. "I need your help. Juuka or not I can't do this alone. I really can't. And you seem way more skilled at this than I am. I want to save lives as much as you do."

*She sat atop one of the only buildings in the area still standing and surveyed all around her. The D-rex was really muddying up the area. It seemed to be on the search for something. Embera could only catch glimpses of the machination in between crumbling towers. It was after the 3rd or so that she finally saw the tank meet its target, NapalmMan. She only shook her head as she watched his attacks fall flat. She had her own target, and was not ready to be involved in this mess. Seeing across the area, she finally found what she was looking for: A foolish boy caught in a mess he had no business being in. Taking a running start, Embera jumped from the building and plummeted to the area below, steering herself to Nightshade's location and quaking the area in the process. Grabbing his arm, Embera took off her helmet and snarled at the navi.*
Embera: And just what the HELL do you think you're doing here?! This isn't your battle, get your sorry self OVER TO MY VOLCANO AND WAIT FOR ME!
*Embera's scolding was intense, like that of a mother chastising a disobedient child. She would not repeat herself, and was wholly prepared to drag his unconscious body back with her*

Nightshade recoiled at Embera's sudden move. It wasn't the first time he had been scolded, but this particular time it was different. He would wonder why that lady in huge armor behaved so strangely. One moment she cared, the other she didn't, the other again she acted like a motherly figure in his regards. Still, her words did some damage on him.
The young cat navi looked down at the ground. "What would you do, if you saw people in danger?" He muttered. "What do you know about being powerless to stop the thing that will kill you?"
He stood up, wiggling his arm free from the metal clamp holding it down. "You're strong. Everyone around here is always strong and they can always do whatever they darn please at the expense of the weaker ones. Just because they have power, they think they can rule over anyone and impose their will."
Nightshade tail drooped on the floor as well. "I just wanted to help...I just...wanted to feel relevant. But in the end you're right. This isn't my fight. Someone with a crazy power like that Magnolia over there will take care of it. I'd just mess up."
He walked past the hulking armored navi scraping the floor with his feet claws and dragging his tail with him.

Wonderful. Just the Navi that he'd wanted to see here today. Things were going so very well, and then the little firebrand had to stick her nose where it doesn't belong. Of course that's about how the day was going as a whole.
Still, at the moment Magnolia had NapalmMan's attention to a far greater degree. He'd known of the barrier's strange defensive capability, but this was something quite new. NapalmMan remains in the center of the two halves as they spin faster and faster, keeping an eye on the head of the D-Rex and the small girl now keeping pace and slowly disassembling its data with her very presence. To simply call this unexpected would fall short.
Despite Magnolia's presence and the obvious damage that her simply being near it now brings, the D-Rex continues to orbit itself, crushing all in the area. Every second it grows faster and faster, spinning with more intense speed as it razes all to the ground and reduces entire buildings to rubble. Moment after moment the damage escalates and escalates, bringing ruinous damage and destruction to this once quiet sector until, at last, it makes its true strike. While still rotating, the two halves suddenly collapse their trajectory in on one another, crashing into one central location with an ear-splitting reverberation and a deadly shock-wave.
Now still again, the D-Rex, finally showing ware thanks to Magnolia's onslaught, re-gathers itself. Its head hovers up again, re-joining its body as it scans the area and calculates its next move.
NapalmMan had been expecting this exact move, but that fact didn't make evasion any easier. When he sees the trajectory change in that first moment, the Storming Bomber plants his cannons to the ground and fires an explosive blast, concussively sending him tumbling skywards. However, the thrust from this reckless move also leaves him open, and his own weight proves to be far greater than he'd compensated for. The head of the D-Rex clips him before he can get clear, slamming him away and causing him to tumble to the ground with a powerful slam.
NapalmMan takes a moment to shake his head, feeling as though he'd been hit by a bus. Despite the damage and the new disorientation, the Storming Bomber raises to his feet after a few moments and sees what the D-Rex is doing, deciphering its next move by the way that it's regaining its bearings.
NapalmMan: Plasma-ball next.. though I doubt that you're worried about that.
NapalmMan pauses for a moment, looking around the battlefield. He then runs to the dead center of the cleared land, distancing himself as much as he can.
NapalmMan: This is your best opening; it's focused on me and is going to take a few moments to charge up. Tear it to pieces!
True to NapalmMan's prediction, the head of the D-Rex hovers above its body once again, beginning to spark wildly as an orb of plasma begins to charge up, large enough to take out a few square blocks should it hit, and growing larger with each passing moment...

Suddenly a shot rings out from behind NapalmMan, and a bullet made of ice streaks towards the ball of plasma.
"Is a little sleep too much to ask? I've been up all night and the last thing I want to hear is some hulking metal monstrosity tearing up the.....wait....I recognize you now. You're the thing that took out the base in Sharo. Well, you got away then, but not today."
After saying this, the navi streaked towards the base of the D-Rex, and made to grab on. If this attempt we're to succeed, Ice crystals would slowly beginning forming along the base of the D-Rex, starting from where he had attached himself.

Magnolia hadn't broken her position the entire time, using its attack to further her own. The faster it went meant the faster it would be slamming into whatever this dangerous thing was she was using now. The sneer she had only breaking once the D-Rex had finally disengaged her with the shockwave, though she was still unscathed as she touched back down on the ground. The effects it had on her surroundings seemed to cease, showing it must have stopped for the time being. But it looked like it had seen better days.
"I'm more worried for you than for me. You make sure not to die on me, old prune. We're still in the middle of something too."
She blitzed, the ground beneath her shattering as she closed the distance immediately. She did a small jump, landing on the back of the new arrival briefly enough for him to barely notice as she kicked off of him, the area around her beginning to be destroyed again. And it was here that her sword flared back up to life too. If the base structure was still there then all she had to do at this point was wipe out what was built over that base and get to the part it was hiding. And so she started to circle the head in a whirling dervish, like a tornado that was constantly cutting at the D-Rex while aiming to erase it with her other means at the same time in a relentless drive that was growing exponentially stronger by the second as she sped up even more and more as well. She would tell the other guy to not hang around the base for too long, but they were free to do as they wanted.
