Looked like it had touched on the ground in a favorable fashion now. And something else had too, from the feel of it. She was a bit delayed in these thoughts from the electric shock that had slammed into her too, shaking in place for a moment but thankfully not long thanks to the diluted effects. But she was struck by the paralysis too, narrowing her eyes ever so slightly then. If they wanted to have a word with her, she would want to help them refine what fighting in a team looked like as part of that talk they wanted before this all started. But she sprung part of her trap early for Vanguard's assault, a pale blue light launching up from the floor and into the hand as it froze over hard to keep the eye from moving even if it wanted to and to attempt to lock it in place further for his attack. The pale green light on his legs kept him moving just fine along the ice that she put in place. Now then...
"Am I to assume that as a chaos factor, you don't mind what happens next? I'm willing to offer you one chance to just not do this."
The wall that Vanguard was sent towards gained a pale red light instead, catching him as he hit it but also launching him back in his intended direction. In its current state he'd be able to run it through the hand and the eye still while it was still immobile and non-lethal to the touch. While she was willing to offer the person one chance as they likely were unaware of the situation as a whole, she was more than aware that there were people who did not help a situation and only hurt them. Except unlike others, she wasn't halted by things like former relationships or concern for their well-being. If they were making the choice, then she would respond to that choice.

"As a Chaos factor ya say?"
Shadow Labrys turned to the direction of the voice, but had trouble seeing them fully.
"I'm on orders, so maybe evil is a betta' word." she said as she giggled, "But this is just too much fun to quit, so Chaos works perfectly for Lord Rosario's plans!"
Herself and Asterius both melted into a familiar crimson pool before quickly reappearing in front of Vanguard's path once more. Asterius took in a large inhale to clear any remaining steam in the room and free the visibility before re-releasing his breath as a giant eruption of flame, attempting to push back Vanguard like a pinball and damage Mistair. Shadow Labrys couldn't make out Mistair's level of strength, but from the presence of everyone in the room combined, she knew that she herself was the weakest there. She would have to rely on Asterius wholeheartedly.

Now frosted over and paralyzed, the Shadow Devil's eye swiftly moves from side to side, attempting to escape the situation as best it can. However, this comes to no avail. Despite its best efforts and its inability to move, the Shadow Devil's entire body reels back slightly from the sheer force of the laser from Vanguard, dealing tremendous damage to the monster and causing its entire form to glitch wildly. Under the pure strain, a crack appears on the upper portion of the monster's core, showing that the assault thus far actually was working. However, this would be where the assault ends. Despite Vanguard's best efforts, the new chaos-factor appears and keeps him from dealing the finishing blow.
This move does not go unnoticed by the Shadow Devil, as its eye quickly darts between both Navis. This is when the fist of the monster shuts down, clenching hard enough to break the ice. At this point the Devil looks directly at Vanguard with an ever-shrinking pupil. The eye is sucked back into the Shadow Devil, and its body returns to the form of a large ball of liquid. This form remains for a moment, seeming to almost shrink as it body becomes denser and denser.... and then it happens. All of Vanguards's pin-pointed reticles disappear. The sheer denseness of the Shadow Devil's body breaks his connections, rendering his previous targeting work useless.
At this point, the Shadow Devil drops to the ground, falls into the cracks, and re-forms its body at the very edge of the room behind Thorn and Nightshade, yet this time the eye does not reappear. In one swift movement, the Shadow Devil's hands suddenly lurch forward like snakes, unexpectedly grasping both Shadow Labrys and Asterius, fully and inescapably pulling them into the black murk in a brutal show. As this happens, the devil's body changes again. It forms its normal orb-shape, but then takes on a new form; that of a gigantic skull nearly large enough to fill the entire room. The skull then rushes forward like a truck with the obvious intent to smash any Navi in its path and slams into the far wall with a quake.
....and those with an eye for detail beyond the obvious would now notice something else. Behind where the Shadow Devil had started its charge, are both Asteruis and Shadow Labrys, standing in puddles of black liquid. Rather than crush them, the Shadow Devil had actually moved them out of the way before its strike.
However, it wasn't over. With a sudden upward thrust, the Shadow Devil rises toward the ceiling of the fortress, forms a set of spikes on its lower surface, and crashes down like an anvil before opening its sinister eye once again to survey its destruction.

?.ERR
Suddenly, without warning, specs of what appeared to be dust in the air began shining a bright, red light, a million error messages blipping across the NIA Network at once. Similar red lights poured from within the Navis in the room, glancing out of whatever spot they could find in the Navis' armors or bodies, shining behind their eyes, out of their mouths, underneath their nails, within any wounds they'd amassed . . .
. . . and, then, all at once, an ear-piercing shrill, sounding like a cacophony of trillions upon trillions of voices echoing all at once, in horrific agony, filled the room, drowning out all other sounds underneath the myriad of tortured voices. A series of massive bouts of brute force rocked the room, the beams of red light erupting into bursts of raw explosive power, filling the air - and the insides of the respective Navis - with bursts of white energy, multiplied at full power and generated hundreds of times over across the Netspace, erupting pains of raw power within Navis and the air around the ensuing battle, leaving no worries for friend or foe.
[Note: Affected Navis Include any Navis that have Interacted with Genesis since the Border, any Navis that have Interacted with Navis that have Interacted with Genesis, or have personally visted the Netopian Border and/or Town of Lumoise. Otherwise, assume the air around you is exploding.]

The recent turn of events happened too fast to fully process. The only thing that remained the same was pain. A pain that Nightshade and Thorn, under certain circumstances, would not be able to bear if it weren't for some failsafe measures going off. They were alive, but they were not looking good. Thorn was still not used to his new body, the new substance he acquired by assimilating part of the Shadow Devil weighting him down and reducing him to a sloppy pace at best.
He could feel an immense power within him, but he had no clue on how to awaken it. The situation itself was one of the most desperate he had ever encountered too. It seemed like the gods of the universe truly wanted them to die.
Nightshade was on his knees, all bruised and battered up. The feeble blue light of the undershit program keeping him alive was slowly fading away. Still he slowly stumbled in front of Thorn, showing no intention of backing down.
On the exterior, he seemed incredibly calm. His gaze though showed wrath to no end. A fiery rage befitting of a wild untamed beast, something words cannot fully describe it. Up until now, he never truly wished for death and destruction. He always believed in peace, in a better world.
In the end, however, despite everything...the world was nothing but kill or be killed. There was no beating around the bush anymore. If he wanted to survive or realize his goals he would simply have to step on others.
And the first one who would get stepped on would be that foolish little girl he foolishly spared long ago. Maybe if he smashed her head into a couple walls she would understand not to mess with him anymore. If she lived through it, that is.
But first, would have to deal with the blob. The initial charge was an easy dodge. The problem would have been with the spikes. Fortunately, Nightshade reflexes were second to none.
His right arm immediately formad into a strangely colored LongSword, which he used to cut himself and Thorn an opening from the falling Shadow Matter. His left arm morphed into a shotgun, which got pointed straight at the stupid girl's face, making sure to target her accomplice as well.
"Let's see what fun you have after I ERASE YOUR SMUG GRIN FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH!"
And with that said, he pulled the trigger.

Vanguard.EXE
It was kind of hard to see what was going on outside of the whirling sphere of dark swords. He was relying on his sensor vision over his own two eyes, and, so, the world outside of the sphere was displayed like on a grid; he hadn't made much use of this function for a while, though, and it was still rather fuzzy. Without warning, he felt him bounce off of some surface and suddenly rebound - had he missed the Shadow Devil, then?
He could vaguely hear the sound of someone speaking through the whirlwind, and, suddenly, another force halted his movement. Had the Shadow Devil amassed support? He didn't have any resistance on the lower half of his sphere, so, he knew that he was still in the air. Apparently having missed something, he slowed down his wild rotation and uncurled his body, the formations of the DarkSword dark chips sticking out of his back and along the edges of his arms and legs like quills. He dismissed the Darkswords from his person in order to lighten his load, and falls through the air without so much of a hair singed from the fire wall.
From down below, he could clearly see the new arrival atop her mount. Had she somehow redirected him? He was standing on the opposite side of the room than he had charged the Shadow Devil from, and, yet, had never touched the Shadow Devil.
Vanguard didn't care how she did it. He just knew that, now, he had to handle her as well as the Shadow Devil. His Darksoul, while still brightly ablaze, wouldn't protect him for much longer. Once it dissipated, he'd be able to heal himself without worry, and, then . . .
Without warning, the sound of ice shattering sounded ahead, and Vanguard glanced back up at the Shadow Devil. He'd escaped from the secretary's bindings, then. Its pupil shifts to stare directly at him, and he returns the malevolent stare, and, then, the Shadow Devil began to densely compact his body. Before it even happened, he knew what the Shadow Devil was trying to do. The densely compacted data would be flowing much differently in comparison to normal, and his targeting systems immediately shifted to try and accomodate for that. His systems dismissed his current reticles as obsolete, and would take a while to recollect enough data to get that pinpoint accuracy again . . . or to set up the previous reticles to the same level as before.
It was a smart move. It wasn't something he'd expected. This thing was just full of surprises. He takes a few steps away from the black core, knowing full well what it is capable of, and watches without worry as it sucks in its new help. It switches its form one more time, changing into the grotesque shape of a gigantic skull. Once he charged across the room, no one would be able to get a clear dodge away from it - they'd have to scramble up a defense to stop it, or at least move quickly enough to get up underneath it.
There was no way the crippled secretary could amass the speed necessary to get down, and, if she fell, his only hope against Rosso was lost. Growling underneath his breath, Vanguard used the last of his speed to dart to her side, pushing her down beneath him just as the thing rocketed overhead. A second later, his eyes still on the target, Vanguard watches as it takes to the ceiling, forming spikes with its underbelly.
"Heh. Never lets up, does it?"
The spikes shouldn't hurt him, but, he had the secretary underneath him. There was no way of telling how she was fairing, so, he channeled what was left of his energy to create another massive barrier around the two of them. For a brief moment, their entire world was nothing more than a dense field of purple flames. Vanguard glances down at the Secretary, still on the floor next to him; he was kneeling, at this point, with his fist planted into the ground.
"After we destroy this thing, we need a chat."
The Shadow Devil was veered off just to their side, and, as Vanguard dismissed the barrier around them, the air was suddenly alight with flashing alarms, screeches and explosions from all sides. He even felt some from within himself, but, only felt the force of the blows - no real harm came to him. Whatever it was at that time, it was of no current worry to him, and, still over the secretary as he was, his DarkSoul absorbed the brunt of the force for her.
In his field of vision, one of Vanguard's reticles reappears over the Shadow Devil's eye. He'd have to start back at square one; this reticle didn't visibly appear on the Shadow Devil, though. He had no need for that. There was a level of danger behind his previous assault that the Shadow Devil didn't really account for.
He simply grinned. From within the Shadow Devil's own fragmented data pool, the hair thin darklight lasers sprout, sprouting out from within the Shadow Devil's own body to pierce through its pupil, down to its core. While it was only at half of the destructive power as when he distributes the blows himself, it was still at catastrophic levels of energy; the trailing lasers still rip holes through the walls and floors that they trail past, and, just as when he struck, the laser flared, diminished, and flared up, four times in rapid succession.
The reticles he placed over the Shadow Devil's data stream were for his benefit alone - his targeting systems could guide any fired weapon to his intended point without worry. The reticles were so that he could assault them and target his data in melee, as well. He didn't need the reticles inside of the Shadow Devil for this part - the damage was already done, the second his attack struck true. His systems could do the rest of the work for him, and the left over remnants of his darklight data within the Shadow Devil would rip him to shreds, given time.
As if on cue, the sky, still alight with his darklight blaze, rained down another set of four meteors, once again shrinking down to pellet sized blazes that zipped towards the eye. Even with the reticles on the Shadow Devil's code gone to his own eyes, they were not gone to his sytems.
On the opposite edge of the room, the cat Navi appeared to be handling the new arrival. With his Darksoul slowly sputtering out from around him, while he did have enough energy to continue an assault against the Shadow Devil, it would be better for him to try and prepare himself should this not fell the thing.
He didn't bother with the flashy array of chips this time, and instead just downloaded them directly from within his coils. An array of auras sprung around his form, wounds and scratches across his body healing in seconds as his restorative efforts went into affect. All the while, he amassed more energy, preparing for another assault as his darklight fires littered the battlefield.

It appeared as though it was getting a bit fed up of Vanguard's offensive and the lockdown that was set upon it. Outside of feeling sluggish, she was suddenly hit by a veritable mass of sound for lack of a better term that after a few moments she managed to shut down with her defenses. But it had both startled and stunned her at the time, concerned on why hear head practically exploded for no reason that she could discern from anyone present at the given time. She could put together at this point that this was in some way the fault of the Onyx Overlord, for which she owed a fair debt too after just today. She definitely wasn't going to make it in time to avoid the incoming charge, so Vanguard had saved her with his timely interference. Good thing he at least didn't feel anything right now, not struggling at all beneath him for the close shave.
"It doesn't quit until it has to. Never has."
It was persistent to say the least. But it sounded like Vanguard was finally willing to have an actual conversation now. Before it was mostly just orders and then nothing else. He was paranoid and not one to trust others besides himself, relying only on himself when he had to. That had advantages and disadvantages. But she imagined his chat would probably be about what the NIA had done too, of which was a bit relevant when they would chat about it. Sort of. Not as relevant as it would have been, anyway.
"I believe we do. After we finish here."
It was around here that the brute force came. She felt some of it, but Vanguard served pretty well as his namesake here. So her approach this time was to keep him at optimal while lending aid to his assault a bit more directly this time. So she moved and placed her hand on him, Vanguard feeling Darksoul begin to flare back to life. It was as if he was back at full force within it rather than at the edge of its limits.
And from the floor from varying angles shot up the same ice that had frozen the Devil before, this time at Shadow Labrys and Asterius as Nightshade was about to take his shot. Given the previous success of the combination move as well, she had a better idea of what to target for it as well. So the other spots on the ground had changed, moving on their own and to the wall across from the Shadow Devil as they poured out streams of blue lightning at the eye directly. It was showing signs of fatigue just as they were in its own way. All they needed to do was push a bit more.

Asterius bear hugged Shadow Labrys from view as the air detonated around him. Though it seems to just be pressure, it made sure to protect its master.
Asterius unraveled his arms and crashed them into the pools left behind by the Shadow Devil, lifting them to create a solid wall of goo as he saw Nightshade prepare his shotgun (Note: this action was okay-ed). Unexpectedly, Mistair's ice froze the entire wall of goo, reducing its stopping power and causing it to only be usable once as it crumbles from the force of Nightshade's blast.
Shadow Labrys giggled in her mechanically-infused voice.
"Sorry, but my grin is immortal even if I ain't! Now if ya excuse me, I hafta deal with the healthiest lookin' one ya guys got."
She reached behind her back and unhinged a dormant pole. Upon her touch, it transformed into a battle axe, with the blades being extra large. Asterius then grabbed Shadow Labrys like a ball, winding up and launching her straight for Vanguard. After throwing her, Asterius immediately dissipated into the pool of crimson highlighting half of his body and disappeared once again. As Shadow Labrys traveled at a moderately high speed, she spun and released steam from her axe to increase her acceleration. Vanguard appeared to still be in DarkSoul, heck, seems like he just entered it. She wondered if it was due to Mistair, but right now it was a problem.
She knew that as long as Vanguard wasn't on guard and could connect her spinning assault, it wouldn't even scratch him, but it should be enough to knock him back to where Asterius would be waiting. The plan would work even if she didn't hit him, she just hoped he would move backwards. Regardless, Asterius emerges from behind Mistair and Vanguard's position. His entry is slow as always, but he attempts to grab Mistair with his right fist and Vanguard with his left, completely constricting them and holding them in the air. A difficult task for how long his reappearance would take, but as long as Shadow Labrys made contact with Vanguard, she hoped it would make it easier to at least grab him.

...this was the final moment. Despite the Shadow Devil's awesome strength and defensive capabilities, the final assault lands true on its core, causing the crack to widen... and break. A shard of the Shadow Devil's core drops to the ground as it re-takes its normal form, covering the majority of its now crackling and sparking eye with its hand as it takes one final glance. It then retracts its core, now moving with far less stability, and collapses to the ground as a gigantic puddle. The liquid floods the entire ground area and particularly pools around Shadow Labrys and Asterius. The two Navis are quickly swallowed by the mire, forcing them to release their current actions and plans, before the monster pulls them below, vacating the network in a hurry through the back-end data. In its wake is destruction and the threat of the stolen data, but the day was won at last...
Boss Encounter: Complete!
Nightshade: 1 Holy Mystery Data, 600 EXP/6,000z Thorn: 1 Holy Mystery Data, 400 EXP/4,000z Vanguard: 2 Holy Mystery Datas, 800 EXP/10,000z
Asterius: 100 EXP/1,000z Shadow Labrys: 100 EXP/1,000z
....several moments after the Shadow Devil vacates, those with particularly honed senses would notice a second presence leave. A quiet yet malevolent presence suddenly lifts away like a heavy fog, making one thing clear; the WWW's monster had not been alone....

Nightshade remained still for a few moments, panting heavily. Did they win? Or were they spared? He fell to the ground wheezing. Now that the adrenaline rush was gone, he could clearly feel all the damage he had suffered.
"D-darn...we barely pulled through..."
Thorn was a little less battered but still somewhat less damaged, possibly because of the data he absorbed from the Shadow Devil. He slowly stumbled forward a little, even though his body still refused to move like he wanted.
"Eh...you've grown real strong, little Prince. Perhaps even stronger than me."
With a smirk, Thorn would move his tail toward nightshade for a playful boop, only to see the little cat avoiding contact. A smidge of sadness peeked from the dragon's usualy confident behavior.
"Ah right...the Devil's goop..." He mumbled. "Better avoid touching people."
In that moment Thorn's eyes found the shimmering fragment that was once part of the devil's core. He immediately picked it up and made sure to absorb all the data he could from it. Sure enough, the added code finally allowed him to regain his lost mobility even if he still was not used to the extra weight.
*tip tap tip tap tip tap*
"Hm...about time."
In from the entrance door another humanoid dragon rushes in, bumping into Thorn and skidding to a stop. His curious eyes surveyed the destruction.
"B-big bro...I...I came as fast...as fat as I c-could." He stuttered. "What the hell happened here!? Oh dear, Nighty are you alright?!"
Nightshade coughed and spat. "It's fine, Aeron. Just some scratches."
Aeron rolled his eyes and sat down, using his long blue tail to gently grab Nightshade by the waist and pull him in his claws. The little cat navi opposed no resistance, he could barely move anyway. Nightshade would slump over the blue dragon, going completely limp, exhaused for the fight. Aeron curled himself around him, squeezing lightly and beginning to heal Nightshade's wounds. A soft cyan aura surrounded the little cat, his small cuts and bruises intantly fizzling away.
"Man...this kind of damage..." The blue dragon muttered. "A little more and you would have been killed."
Thorn himself slotted in a DarkRecovery, it would be enough for now. He wasn't as damage as the others, so he could wait. "Can you do something for the other two as well?"
Aeron looked up and eyed both Mistair and Vanguard. "The lady I can heal fine. That darkloid guy has extensive damage...and it seems he did not treat previous wounds as well. I might be able to do something, but to repair his damaged Source Code I would need to fuse with him for a couple of minutes and work on it from the inside."
The pure poison navi nodded. "Lady Mistair, this is my little brother Aeron. He is the best healer of the entire Nebula System Dynamics network. He will be able to treat us as well as the many other wounded around here."
The blue dragon's ears timidly splayed backward at the mention of his name. He bowed his head at the Nia secretary. "P-pleasure to m-make your acquaintance. Please excuse me for not arriving sooner."

Vanguard.EXE
As the height of the battle came, Vanguard noticed the lady with her flying ax coming at him. He still had plenty of energy, and the secretary's assistance in powering his DarkSoul meant he still had quite the adrenaline rush going through his servos. Then, in the Shadow Devil's last moments, it simply reached out and dragged the pair down with it, leaving the Netspace in a frothing hole through the floor.
Vanguard glanced over the hole to watch it descend, considering for just a moment that he should go after it. Then, as the battle died down, his DarkSoul's aura fluttered and all but dissipated, and all the injuries he'd allowed himself to amass stung up across his body without warning. He winced, pushing himself away from the edge of their escape route lest he fall in from exhaustion. Thankfully, he was pushed to his DarkSoul solely because he allowed himself to be - he still had plenty of energy left should the battle have waged on for a while longer. Still, when the battle subsided, he felt the injuries of the past few incursions piling up.
He stood up, deciding to grin and bear through the pain. The healing dragon's assessment wasn't too far off from the truth, but, his source code wasn't nearly as damaged as he made it out to be. When had the new arrival even come in, anyways? Another of the individuals with the cat and the Darkloid . . . he shrugged, walking up to kneel next to the secretary again.
Despite not realizing when he had come in, he had been paying attention as the rest of them talked their way through the recent battle. Himself, he was just replaying every moment of it in his mind. If the Shadow Devil had gotten away, that meant that it would be back later - and would likely be doing the exact same thing he was. They needed to be prepared for it to strike back, if not soon, than some time in the future. What he couldn't get over was the second presence he only just barely noticed leaving the vicinity - how had he not seen it earlier?
However, he was pulled from his reverie when one of the dragons - the one that had been here the whole time - referred to the secretary by name.
"Mistair?" he repeated, turning to look at the female Navi, still curled up on the floor. So, that was her name, then. He hadn't had the time to ask up until now. Vanguard turned to look at the brightly colored dragon - didn't the cat call him Aeron? - who had just spoken to them. His specialty was in data recovery and repair, then? As if in answer to the little dragon's request - on behalf of both himself and Mistair - Vanguard shook his head.
"Don't try healing anyone right now, Aeron. You'll only expend an inordinate amount of energy on the wrong process - you don't know what you're looking for." He turned to look at the group, leaning down to offer Mistair his shoulder so that she could at least drag herself up. "Everyone, check your body for any wounds. Anything, anything at all; especially if it's bleeding. If it feels like one of your limbs won't work for you, report it. These aren't issues with your code, and they aren't things Aeron would know how to target and heal properly."
To follow his own orders, Vanguard began to check over his own form, and glanced over what he could of Mistair without being too invasive of her privacy.

She was preparing for her retort for after she would get grabbed, but it looked like she didn't have to. The Shadow Devil retreated and took the additional intruders along with it. But not all of the intruders, noticing the second malevolent presence that left. It was quiet, but still concerned her. Sequester had been compromised, making her priority to see how far the data breach had managed to go. So her eyes glimmered for a moment, scanning through for what she could see. And while the information that had been reached was actually valuable information... it wasn't so much after the other events today that she could see. A small blessing in this overall curse. Her thoughts were wandering now, her good hand running through her hair as it did. The presence that they didn't know, the World 3, the situation in Netopia, Magnolia, and the rest... She was tired of today to put it frankly. So she kept her thoughts about the exchange between Thorn and Nightshade to herself, sighing instead as Aeron arrived. It was a thoughtful thing to do, but she wondered did they really consider how thoughtless it was as well? Another victim... well, at least he was a willing one compared to the rest of Netopia. But she nodded at her name, confirming that she was in fact not a nameless navi roaming the HQ. It was a pretty big step up from what Vanguard's initial assumptions of her was, but then she shook her head to the blue dragon as well.
"Arriving late is fine, Aeron. We had enough reckless actions taken with just who was here. If you acted thoughtlessly, you would be paying for it now."
She accepted Vanguard's shoulder offer, placing her good hand on it and managing to drag herself up. And then lean on him just a bit longer before she adjusted to stand on her own at least while not disagreeing with what he said, her right hand still on his shoulder. It was all accurate, but at least this time they had some living people to at least see what else they could about it as last time it was data from the recently departed. Vanguard's old wounds had been agitated, plus he had acquired new ones from the blows he had taken from the Shadow Devil. It was a good test in a way that let him know the amount of force it would take to shatter his bones, so better late than never some could say. He also had the time to survey some of the outer damage she had taken over the extended time. She had a few singe marks on her clothes, primarily from the electricity that hit her earlier in this fight. She had an open wound on her left arm and left side, evidenced by the damaged clothing on that side being a darker shade. It had grown darker during the fight between when the Shadow Devil had grabbed her and the electricity and was the source of why she wasn't using her left arm now, though the origin of these wounds initially was thanks to Genesis. Her right leg had some cuts and bruises too, from trying to fully evade when the Shadow Devil turned itself into cannonballs, the blood running down it freely as a summary of the most blatant external damages without being too intrusive with his gaze.
"As for my own wounds, my left arm isn't cooperating anymore, my side burns, and my leg hurts. Some more aches and throbbing, but not the worst."

After a few good minutes of stillness, Aeron would release Nightshade, which seemed completely healed and topped off on stamina. The little cat stretched around, testing his body. He seemed pretty in shape.
"Now now mr Hot Shot. There is a reason I called him here. While it is true my little brother is not the best in combat he excels in healing and complete regeneration of damaged data. This kind of situation is just child's play for him."
Aeron would nod and timidly hop forward taking Mistair into his care. He would make her sit down and began to examine her wounds. The flustered look on his face and his fumbling around made for a quite cute picture. "No need to strain yourself, Lady Mistair. Please, have some rest while I treat your wounds."
He scrambled and pulled out a gauze roll from one of his pouches he had fastened to his back with a belt. The interesting bit on the sterile cloth was the intricate runes covering both sides with a neon green sheen to them. Aeron's snout turned even more reddish as he wrapped Mistair's waist a couple times mumbling a barely audible "Sorry".
Once her wounded arm and side were bandaged he placed his three fingered claw on the wound itself and concentrated. Closing his eyes he focused himself. Soon, a somewhat anesthetic/numbing sensation would make its way in the secretary's body. Once the pain had been flushed away, the runes on the bandages were activated. In just five minutes the little blue dragon had restored Mistair to the point where she could stand a move around with no pain.
"I have stopped the data decay, and these bandages should keep the area safe from corroding agents. The runes on them are just a conduit to amplify and facilitate the flow of my healing abilities. I would say you should keep them on for 10 days. It should be enough to fully heal everything. Those wounds were way worse than Nighty's. At least you did not get infected with anything."
Nightshade let out a chuckle as Aeron helped Mistair back up. "Awesome uh? That is Aeron for you. The Healing Touch is such an amazing ability."
Areon would then move over to Vanguard, shrinking down a little bit, slightly intimidated by the navi's appereance. He sheepishly wagged his tail around and looked up. "C-Captain Vanguard. Just for this time I w-would like you t-to put your faith in me."
He would turn over to Thorn for a brief moment, continuing after the purple dragon's 'go on' gesture.
"If you would allow me to fuse with you just f-for five to ten minutes I would be able to reinvigorate you and at least repair some of your damage. You need to be strong for all the navis that c-count on you, sir."
He would offer Vanguard his claw, waiting his response. "A-allow me to demonstrate my worth to you, s-sir. Please. After we are done I'll treat all other wounded officers and civilians left."

Vanguard.EXE
Vanguard watched the little dragon going to work, expending all of his effort on restoring - what did he call him? Nighty? He must have another name that he properly goes by, he thought. - the cat to full power. Even as he stood up and stretched out as thought all of his pain was gone, Vanguard knew that it wasn't true.
Vanguard saw the wounds on Mistair, before Aeron could get to her to patch them up. Her arm wasn't likely full of damaged or decaying data - it likely had a literal bone inside of it, fractured or even shattered. The wounds underneath her clothes were readily dripping out blood, and it wasn't just for visual effect. Vanguard raised his eyes to lock gazes with Mistair, even as she was being patched up.
Neither of the other Navis knew what Vanguard and Mistair did. He shook his head again as the cat once again praised his coworker's skill at healing, well aware of what was still going on underneath Mistair's bandages. Even if it wasn't visible, and no matter how confident this dragon was, there was nothing he could do to combat this issue.
Finally, he raised his head, still knelt down to allow Mistair to use him as a crutch, as Aeron turned his attention to him. He'd taken a full account of his own wounds already, and knew what could be expected of his stature underneath the armor. Pieces of the armor were thrown open to reveal skin with gashes underneath, irritated wounds from the past once again bleeding and aching. Of the newest wounds, he had burn marks over his entire body, and a rather sickening dent on the upper left of his chest. When he tried moving his left arm, it just sent stings of pain racing up his body and plotted little dots of color over his vision.
"For one, stop grovelling. You're embarrassing yourself. If you don't have faith in yourself, I'm not going to have faith in you." Vanguard's voice was curt, and he didn't display any signs of being in pain to the little dragon.
"As for whether or not I'll allow you to 'fuse' with me, the answer is no. Neither of you understand the depth of the injuries on your bodies right now, and nothing you can do," he paused, turning to look directly into Aeron's eyes, "Can fully restore these wounds. Do you know why? Because, they aren't degraded data. They aren't caused by missing or destroyed code. My data can repair itself in all of the aforementioned ways; regeneration, restoration, repairation, retrieval, outright replacement . . . none of them work, because your data being gone isn't the issue. The issue is what is there."
Vanguard reaches up with his free hand, now that Mistair is standing, and simply pulls the purple visor off from in front of his face. As it turned out, the thing didn't appear to be attached to his face at all, and just slid right off as though he plucked it out from the air. He presented it to Aeron. "Just in case you don't have X-Ray Vision. Put them on; I've already set them to the right frequency. I want you to see something."
Whether or not Aeron did have the X-Ray Vision or he decided to use Vanguard's visor, whenever he viewed into Vanguard's body, he would easily see a functioning human skeleton underneath the black coat of armor he wore. Some of the bones were heavily warped from the intense punishment of the battle, and some were worn from simple overuse in an extended period of time. His right shoulder bone was completely shattered, as were the closest ribs and parts of his collarbone.
"You see that? My data doesn't naturally consist of a functioning skeleton. I do not naturally have bones. Neither Mistair nor I normally bleed. This phenomena is present in every Navi throughout Netopia. Restorative attributes and healing reagents were tried long before you got to the scene, Aeron, and the simple fact is that what you're capable of healing isn't the issue. Not to mention that restorative properties in general are already stymied."
He stopped for a moment to take back his visor, and places the purple X back over his eyes. "I can mend my own wounds, to a degree. With my experience thus far, the only thing that restorative methods accomplish is give you more energy; they don't actually heal the wound."

She was going to ask them to wait a moment longer and listen to mister hotshot, but seeing was believing. Plus being able to save the words was useful at the moment. It would be noticed more using herself as an example than ones who got off with more superficial injuries. Once he was done with his examination and was getting to work, she placed her hand on his head to it as her gaze locked with Vanguard's. But she was smiling instead, stopping her hand movements as he finished and helped her back up. Though rather than comment on her condition or what was brought up, she brought up something else instead. A communication she had received earlier but wasn't relevant for them at least as much as it was for Aeron. She had paused for a moment to note that actually wasn't part of Vanguard's face before chiming in.
"Vanguard is in better condition than some of our other agents. They have already been evacuated and are on transit, but you can find them if you go to Limmous and use this. Head over there and take care of them instead as quickly as possible if you can."
It was a specific data signature that she sent over to him. Using it should let him access the isolated server that they created. Next were the topics that were of equal importance, or at least one of them as they felt the heat in the area rise a bit. This didn't alarm her or give her pause, as she knew what it was that caused it. Instead she continued unhindered as she looked to Thorn, holding out her right hand.
"Thorn, hand over that piece you picked up from the Shadow Devil. Also, what did you come here to discuss before leading everyone here?"
