That looked about right for an attack at the tyrant himself. Still she had to take a shot for confirmation if nothing else. So while she was disappointed she couldn't just cleave through it, she also wasn't taken completely by surprise as well. Though she still couldn't help but pout just a little bit when it came to his words instead, taking at least some offense to them even if it was to be expected. Must've been how that other guy felt that she beat up recently.
"Now that's just rude. You don't even know how much of a threat I legitimately am."
It was around here that the assassin showed up. Though really he was a man of many talents. But Gate would notice that the look in her eyes intensified then. It was like some sort of elation filled her up when he arrived and was going to be her opponent. Her smile hadn't broken down, but she was more fired up than she had started this fight at even when her opponent was the man who often had the world wrapped around his fingers.
"...But that's what he's for, huh? Better here than Creamland. You were on my list of targets anyway, Dynamo!"
She moved her left arm as the energy changed size again, amassing in a spot like a shield as it took his shots directly before it changed back into a sword, clashing with his own with a grin plastered to her face as he passed over her after. She pivoted quickly with the sword extending outward to over thirty feet then with the speed not slowing for a moment, a myriad of blows being unleashed from the extended weapon still.

Gate nods at this comment. Fair is fair, and she did pose a legitimate point. That was one of the reasons for this meeting, after all.
Gate: Alright, I'll give that to you. But still, as should be obvious I've taken measures to ensure that your threat is minimized to say the least.
Gate then looks over to Dynamo. While the World 3 Navi had always had a genuine distaste for making use of hired Navi, this was the long exception. Dynamo had proven himself time and time again, and was not one to be trifled with. But still, Magnolia had just tipped her hand a bit. Rather than simply disappear as he normally would, Gate makes the choice to stay and watch this fight first-hand.

*Well that was a bit unexpected. She actually knew him by name. Looked like he wasn't up against just any upstart that wanted to rise up and be a problem for World 3. The weapon of hers was ever changing, from shield to sword to larger sword. A bit too large if you asked him, but clearly that didn't diminish her speed any so being small wasn't hindering her all that much. He took the sword he had in hand and spun it, the weapon turning swiftly as it met each oncoming strike. His eyes glancing over to Gate through the visor, a smile on his face then too before focusing back on Magnolia. He knew what he had to do here.*
"Whew! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance too, lass! You know me so you should know my deal. No reason to get so heated over little old me."
*She had some force behind those swings and remarkable speed to back them up as well, but that wouldn't cut it with him that easily. So he threw the sword then, the weapon spinning like a boomerang at her as he tossed three more after it. Holding his ground as he fired several more shots from his buster, staying in place for a time still as he was prepping up for her like counterattack that probably involved using that sword of hers again.*

She couldn't say that he was wrong either, nodding back in turn. Part of the reason for hunting him was for more than simple elimination. Part of it was on a trial and error basis. They knew enough as is, but details on Gate himself was a tad more scarce. He had plenty of resources to the point where having to use his own hands to clean something hadn't been done in literal years no doubt. But his designs spoke for themselves, like the measures he had taken already just for today.
"You got me there. I was for certain you didn't have any details on me yet, but I was humbled instead. It's gonna take some real effort today."
She made the weapon shorten to about her own body size next, cutting along the air rather than waiting for the weapons and shots to reach her. And as they did they slammed into the remnants of the green light left behind, smiling still as she started to lean forward just a bit. A sure sign of what she planning to do next.
"But I appreciate those who use the sword, so I can't help but get a bit excited at the prospects of facing those sorts of people. Especially when they aren't pushovers."
Blitzing forward as the boosters sparked to life for a single instant, closing the gap between them as she did a swing from his left. But at the same time a blow came from the right. Two at the same time from opposite angles? Four blows came next, two at each leg before it concluded with four more, each aimed at a different part of his chest instead all in the span of an instant.

Gate smiles and graciously waves to the side at Magnolia's statement, still watching the battle unfold before him.
Gate: I don't care for luck, Ms. Magnolia. I'd far rather have knowledge before I make a move. And while I admit that my knowledge for today was more focused on Rosso, this odd turn of events was not unaccounted for.
Gate keeps an eye on Dynamo during the fight, watching the assassin's movements versus Magnolia. He'd been holding his own, but frankly Gate had always preferred a one-sided fight in his favor. Still, the situation was not exactly unadvantageous.
Gate: I must say that I find it interesting that you have such close observational capabilities from Creamland, especially given the current political upheaval. If you somehow survive this encounter, won't it be a bit of an issue when the NIA finds you trapped here?
It's rare to have an opponent willing to continue casual conversation during a fight, so why let it go to waste?

Nightshade grinned. "Bingo." Just as the three navis suddenly began fighting. Jumping out of the way and using the smoke to vanish from sight. Putting his speed to good use, he would gun it for the HQ. Picking up his device, he called Mistair. "Got a photo of Magnolia. She's with the Creamland knights. There is also another guy, Gates of W3 who thought he could kill Rosso. They are fighting a thirn navi. Here's the coordinates."
After that message, he made another call. "Who's calling?"
"I need all the info the NSD has on the Creamland Knights."
"...Alright. I guess you found something?"
"Yeah. Come to NIA's HQ asap."

*So she had a preference of opponent too, huh? Still, she had come into a close range just when he was prepared to meet that sort of approach. In his hand was a sphere of energy that crackled with electricity, clenching his hand into a fist as he struck the ground. It created a wall of energy around him, catching the sword strikes that came all around him. And then it planned to return the favor, doing a second punch inside of the wall that brought down a rain of the same sort of energy all from the sky at once to take her. And from the first one itself was another nasty surprise as the energy violently lashed out with each strike that Magnolia landed against it.*
*But he wasn't quite done yet, the weapons from earlier having another intention. The weapons had been deflected, but then began to multiply after and scatter about all of the surrounding area. If she was going to dart about at that speed, she would meet one of the flying blades eventually. This caused him to draw another sword, jumping straight at her as the wall of energy faded to unleash a strike straight at her now.*

"In a minute."
Mistair had responded to the communication. She sounded a bit strained however and from what he could hear on her end was a lot of loud noises. Violent like shouts, screams, and explosions. So from the sounds of it she was likely preoccupied with something right now as well that she couldn't get away from. She'd get to that when things were looking up on her own side a bit more than they were.
Though Magnolia could understand what he meant about luck. None of the people she worked with cared much for it either. It was either they knew their opponents or they would find out about that opponent. It was a nice thing to do when one meant business, so it made sense even to her. But because of that even more she had work to do here. That meant that it was about time. As her blade struck the wall of energy repeatedly, she glanced back over to Gate as she started to make her move back from the rain of energy that was going to blanket the field.
Though as she darted back she bumped into one of the flying blades behind her, eyes focusing back on the battle thanks to that misstep. So there was the reaction from her strike against his defense coming at her, the rain that fell, and these swords that swarmed around her coupled with the man himself coming to finish things. But she didn't make an effort to move. Instead she held her ground, letting it all fall down upon her. But when Dynamo's blade connected, her hand reached out to take his arm by the wrist, the dust settling with her still smiling.
"It's about time for checkmate. This'll hurt."
She had a firm grip, her fingers having entrenched themselves through the armor there. The swords that had been flying had met their mark, actually resting on her blade-first right now. But they hadn't cut through and done damage to her, like the energy strikes as well. And so she swung her sword next, a thunderous roar sounding out that echoed throughout the area and beyond to engulf Dynamo in a blaze of green, purple, and orange light as the sky itself remained discolored after the blow.
"It's true that observational ability at Creamland is spotty. Got some that are good at it and then a lot who aren't. But the NIA won't be able to find me and unlike the others here... I'm not trapped at all. I just haven't left yet."
It was after that strike that she released her grip, already going into the next barrage of blows to follow. While she would have preferred if that last blow had concluded things, he had a penchant for survival. So the following strikes were an attempt to give some closure to things instead.

Gate just smiles to himself as Nightshade makes his move. He looks to Magnolia to excuse himself and takes a single step forward, teleporting to Nightshade as he does so. A hand lands on Nightshade's shoulder as Gate appears behind him, paralyzing the feline Navi on the spot.
Gate: It was a shame that we didn't make it to your headquarters, Nightshade. But don't worry, I haven't forgotten about your wonderful little lab. Perhaps I'll stop by some time and show this scientist of yours the proper way to make a Navi.
Gate releases his grip on Nightshade's shoulder and turns his back on him, returning his attention to Magnolia.
Gate: Apologies. The boy and I had such a nice talk before you arrived that I felt it only proper to say goodbye. After all, it's so rare to fins so-
This is when a gigantic flare rises skyward in the distance, staining half of the sky orange with cataclysmic flame. Gate smiles at this, making note of the direction.
Gate: Ah, it seems that I've discovered the location of Rosso after all. Judging by the direction and distance, I'd say... Rammount? which would mean that it's likely under assault.
Gate then looks back to Magnolia and Dynamo with a smile.
Gate: But I suppose that such things will have to wait for another day, won't they? After all, it would be terribly rude of me to leave you after you've come such a long way.
Gate re-folds his arms as he looks on with a smile. Magnolia was proving to be a fine opponent for Dynamo, which was a rare occurrence indeed.

Nightshade would turn around and face the guy."Oh yeah, sure. Come and see what happens" And with that said, the cat navi would vanish without leaving a trace.

*Well that was something. In terms of durability he would have never guessed that she could take so many of his strikes without any sort of harm. So more than her offensive power was outstanding... at least in the second category of power. He might not have been able to read her, but he knew his own limitations fairly well to speak for them himself. Her blow that struck him was incredibly fierce compared to the previous ones, gritting his teeth through it until she let go he immediately had planned his next move.*
"This is going to get a little dicey it appears..."
*The swords that had stopped against her came back to meet her oncoming strikes, the energy that he struck the ground with last time being in his hand as he sought to drive it directly into her with ever increasing force. If she could take it in its entirety directly like this, it would give him another idea for how to proceed going forward as well.*

Looked like he still had some defenses ready for her. She was going to blow the incoming attack, but... she paused. Her eyes had gone over to the giantic flare of cataclysmic force, the only time her smile had ever faded for a moment for a blank expression. It was clear that Rosso's show of force meant something to her just as well, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as she managed to keep her somewhat cheery demeanor in tact.
"That showoff... it must be Genesis, then. But I want him instead..."
This caused the blow that Dynamo did to strike her full on, actually causing her to be launched backward. But she caught herself in about the span of a second, her hand going to her stomach as the smile returned. And while there was still no maliciousness there, her eyes had turned into a glare instead. She had felt that blow at least, so it had managed to reach a threshold that could at least inflict some rather minor damage. So instead of launching herself back at him, she simply righted her posture and stood up in full.
"I'd like to keep this going, but I can't any longer. Checkmate is checkmate. The price for learning anything about us is steep."
It was sudden and out of nowhere. But it was practically resembling vivisection at the moment. From Dynamo himself erupted an onslaught of bladed strikes, blasting out in all directions. Of note however was that the number of times it happened was equal to the number of times that she had been attacked in this entire confrontation. It would also reveal the current effects that Netopia had on those here, her sword becoming smaller and taking on a silver glow now instead. When it did, the network began to tremble down to its foundations. Readings or no, it was a sharp increase in the output that she was using up until Rosso's location was revealed.
"Because while I do enjoy fighting, some opponents I have to terminate."

....aah, now this was what Gate was after. Magnolia tipped her hand a bit in this moment, and Gate can't help but smile even brighter than before. With little regard for how Dynamo would respond to such a show, Gate slowly claps for the beautiful show, laughing under his breath as he does so.
Gate: Bra-vo Magnolia. A beautiful show. I suppose that you intend to take us away now to fill your own mission. However, I must correct you on one small mistake. A checkmate does not occur by taking out a knight...
...something... huge is suddenly evident. The entire network seems to suddenly turn monochrome for a moment before the color slowly returns, revealing a far more sinister smile on Gate's face.
Gate: ...but only when you've cornered the king...
A solid black orb of energy appears in the sky.... roughly the size of a small network. The gigantic attack sparks wildly from a central point in the sky. With a tremendous flash, the moon-sized blast blankets all in the area... save Gate and Dynamo, both of whom now have a set of ring-like barriers encompassing them. From amid the chaos and burning, white light, a large and imposing figure appears. Black and white armor is adorned by golden trim that highlights a wickedly strong body standing nearly ten full feet tall. Slowly it descends between Magnolia and Dynamo, hovering with one leg raised and two fists clenched. It looks down on its opponent with a pure white, statue-like face as if a king passing judgment... and frowns in disgust.
Gate: ....and since you still lack the power to do so, I believe that it's time that I take Creamland's queen instead.
Gate smiles knowingly as one of his finest creations, the terrible High-Max, stares down Magnolia in stone silence. This would be where the true battle would begin.

*He was managing for a bit there when suddenly the attack happened. There was no tell or warning, but from the number of hits that sprung forth he could surmise that it had something to do with how he had fought up until this point. And another weird thing was that he was bleeding blood, something that he most certainly didn't do normally as he coughed violently, placing a hand to his chest. Thankfully for him, he didn't have to push this any further because he most certainly was about to call it quits. Now he could actually do so without it appearing as bad. Or rather, expected in a way. Because it was more like a tagging in more than a full on withdrawal, beaming up and coming back down beside Gate.*
"Gonna have to call it quits with that and let him have some fun instead. Give her some licks for me too, yeah?"

"I don't need to take him away. He's slated for death. But I am supposed to take you away if I'm able to. If I don't have the capability to do so, then I'm to mark you down like him. And--..."
She was listening to him and was going to give the details, but then he corrected her and she realized that he wasn't really wrong. Taking a knight didn't mean that the game was over. It usually meant that they sent another piece, like their queen or something like that. And then the moon was dropped down on her, engulfing her in the tremendous flash that came with it. To say that she caught some nice fish today was putting it lightly. This was one of the ones that they also hadn't expected to show up so soon. But being here was great. He wasn't her mark, but one of hers was being snagged right now. In return, she would snag one of his as well. And this time she was a good fit for this sort of opponent.
"It's a nice guess on you to know that my motif is the queen. Am I supposed to count him as your queen or is that rude?"
There was a brief flicker in the air around her that faded when she stepped forward. Whether or not it was still there was questionable at that. That aside she wasn't sure if the Judge of World 3 would like be referred to as a queen, but he did serve a Tyrant and they lived in decent times where some folks were okay with that. This would certainly require a more firm hand than what she had done with Dynamo. Hopefully he would bleed out like a normal person and die, but she didn't bank on that happening so easily. So she would have to settle for doing that to High-Max instead.
"My Moonlight gets to sing a lot today. Boss can't be mad about me slacking off now."
The silver glow remained, the area around it and her shifting multiple times. From green to purple to orange to monochrome, the increase that she had planned to use to finish off Dynamo was still where she settled at to face off against not the assassin, but the executioner of the World 3. But she was grinning ear to ear now, more than simply elated for this faceoff. Even though she could feel the signs that Rosso was giving off, she had to give this priority for now. So the boosters activated, soaring up toward her opponent as the same barrage of strikes occurred concurrently, striking from all angles at one of the finest creations that Gate had forged.
