The faint tip tapping of paws followed by the heavy stomps of claws echoed here and there as two navi dressed in factory new armors ran around gathering Civilians. Well...the one with paws was running around. The heavy stomps would make clear that whoever was making them was slogging through rather than running...or just passively walking.
Nightshade, strong with his times with the ONB, had cleared almost all of the map by himself, with Thrash just following behind and making sure the little cat's words would be taken by heart.
With almost all safehouses full and many evacuated citizen later, even the cat navi was running out of stamina. They took that moment to finally relax for a while. Of course, Nightshade would relax in the only way he knew: cuddled up with the huge daemon he called sister.
There was simply nothing to do. Whenever he was close to Thrash he felt safe. He felt protected. He felt happy. It was amazing how the daemon allowed any of this. No one would ever be able to come this close to his big sister, yet he could easily sid down on her lap, rest his back on her belly and keep that spot for hours on end. Not only that...their bond was even stronger when close together. The Empathic Link, Nightshade's very personal window into Thrash's soul and vice versa, his most cherished treasure, was stronger than ever. The little daemon would let out a soft happy sigh.
"Phew. That was a slog! A few of those guys really were a handful." He said, fiddling with his boots and dusting them off. He was proud of the uniform he was wearing, no doubt. "I think we can rest for a little bit. After that, we can contact Mistair and tell her our mission has been accomplished without complications, what do you think, big sis?"

Ah, the beauty of a quiet moment without need to worry. To be able to speak with friends, and enjoy the scenery, especially in this political climate, is truly a beautiful thing to say the very least. After all, moments like this come so infrequently that they must truly be cherished at all cost. Of course, though, a small interruption to such a wonderful moment could be forgiven, right?
As the Navis sit and chat, another Navi of simple design walks up with a friendly smile. Cloaked in white, he seems outright friendly as he makes his way to Nightshade and performs a small half-bow.
Excuse the interruption, but I am searching for a Navi by the name of Rosso. Would you by any chance know where I can find him?
The Navi holds his smile and polite demeanor flawlessly, patiently awaiting a response from the young daemon as he does so.

Nightshade turned over and looked at the newcomer. "Oh? Rosso?...hm...last I have seen him was at the Border. You could try your luck at NIA's HQ. Sadly, I am not aware of his whereabouts."

The Navi thinks for a moment before shaking his head and looking skyward. His hand strokes his chin as he looks back to Nightshade with a puzzled expression, seeming somewhat disappointed at the answers.
I see. Thank you for the information, but could you kindly direct me towards NIA HQ? I'm afraid that I am not familiar with its location.
The Navi awaits an answer patiently, looking to Rosso with an inquisitive expression.
Oh, and I can't help but notice that you have a rather unique design. Might I inquire as to which Navi lab had a hand in your programming...?
The white-cloaked Navi's expression once again turns to a a smile. It was obvious at a glance that Nightshade was anything but a consumer-grade Navi, and the design was something that he hadn't seen before.[/color]

Nightshade tilted his head. "You...don't know where it is? You are not from around here?" He hopped up and puffed out his chest. "Well...my name is Nightshade, as per my customization...Nebula System Dynamics helped me with that. It did cost alot though, over fifty thousand. Especially the coding for the tail and my paws. Anyway, here, let me walk you to our HQ." He would then wait for his sister to tag along

The Navi smiles and nods, enjoying the chat with Nightshade and hearing about his origins. Quite a bit of information, quite a bit of data.
Oh, I'm something of a wanderer, and haven't had the pleasure of truly getting to know the area. However, I've just been spending some extra time in Netopia as of late for what should be obvious reasons. As for your design; I've heard of this Nebula System Dynamics in the past. Perhaps I'll visit them at some point and discuss their designs.
The Navi then nods and motions before Nightshade graciously.
I would quite appreciate the honor, Nightshade. You may call me Egress, and it is a pleasure to meet you. And please forgive my previous ignorance; I was not aware of the fact that I am currently in in the presence of an NIA member. For that reason, please allow me to extend my thanks for your kindness.
The Navi half-bows again, smiling brightly as he does so. How fortunate a turn of events! He didn't appreciate luck, as it was so uncontrollable, but for once it had fallen in his favor. Perhaps this day would progress smoothly after all.

"Nice to meet you too!" The little daemon would reply with a joyful and friendly tone. "Although, normally I would be wearing grey and green. On duty though I'll always wear my uniform. Not many navi nowadays do such thing, and it's really sad...in a way. Being able to wear such ornaments is no longer treated as a sign of trust and honor. I suppose you know about the situation around here? It's better to avoid any kind of battle routines. We are having a bit of a problem." The little cat would dust off and stop for a moment to fiddle with his open toed boots again. It was obvious he really cared about the uniform he was wearing. Once done, he would resume walking with his tail wagging in slow lazy arcs behind him.
"When you'll come see Nebula, just go to the reception and make my name. I'll make sure to walk you anywhere you want in our Navi Research Labs. I can already see that crazy of Gel.Pt wanting to try out his new creations on you. With all this white you would look like a pristine canvas to paint its masterpieces on. If that happens, don't worry. Usually we let people keep their customization if they please without costs. Gel's crazy personality is a godsend when it comes to creativity. He's one of the best at what he does."
With a twitch of his tail, he gave away the fact that Gel had a say in Nightshade's appereance. "It took him three days to work on me. From a common normal navi to this. He wanted everything to be perfect. He really is an amazing Customizer."

Egress smiles and nods, listening to all that Nightshade has to say.
Yes, I am also familiar with this type of situation. A bit of pride in where you've come from and where you've gone is important to have. Now I hate to press, but could we please go to see Rosso? I do have a rather important bit of information. Oh, and if I may; where is Nebula System Dynamics located? As stated, I've never had the pleasure of visiting for myself.
Egress makes a gentle motion forward, punctuating his request for Nightshade to lead the way. While the conversation is pleasant enough, goals for this visit still remain in his mind.

"They're all over the place, though one of their bigger joints is in Electopia."
It was a silvery and somewhat cheerful feminine voice that chimed in. Someone who had gone completely unnoticed until she spoke up. She had a fair complexion and a short stature, either barely at five feet or just a bit under it. She had a head of short orange hair at neck length, not even to her shoulders and a bit unkempt at that. Though she was in a suit of white armor from the neck down that fit to her figure with a few things that stood out besides her figure. On her back was some sort of extension, two at that sitting on her back that one could assume were her own boosters that she was using rather than in her feet. And on her left arm was a triangular object, unassuming in nature.
"If you're walking him there, you don't mind taking me either, right?"

Egress glances over and looks at the young girl that appeared, giving her a smile as he looks her over. Yet another Navi of unique nature, with something almost enigmatic behind those bright eyes. With a nod, Egress treats her as an equal as he performs yet another half-bow.
Ah, not at all. In fact, I find this rather fortunate! At risk of bring too bold, it's obvious that you're a rather unique Navi yourself, one with some very interesting properties. Am I correct in assuming that you are one of the Navis currently holding leadership over the NIA at the moment?
Egress's eyes were now brighter and more focused than before as he speaks to the lady Navi, finding something very interesting about her.

She raised her right hand and shook it in the negative. It would make things in Netopia easier for you to be someone in power, but she wasn't such an individual. If she were then she probably wouldn't need someone to guide her through some unfamiliar areas. But she maintained her smile all the while as she replied as well.
"Oh no, not at all. I'm actually one of the people holding leadership over in the Creamland Knights. But I figured this would be a great chance so why pass it up, right?"
She was fairly honest about her position. Of course being in her position and then asking to go to an opposing faction's headquarters was red flags all of its own. It was the sort of honesty one would expect someone to not mention at a place like this before having reached their goal.

The Navi's eyes show new clarity at the girl's words, his smile reflecting less care-free joy than before. The change of pace happened so suddenly, but the outcome was not entirely unwelcome.
Aah, I see. Well, I suppose that this works out just as well. While my first goal was to meet with Rosso, you and your group actually held a place on my list as well. I suppose that going out of order is fine given the situation, wouldn't you agree?
...the Navi's words came with a sudden tone-shift. Something far deeper than had been obvious before begins to bubble to the surface as the Navi known as "Egress" looks on with a knowing smile.
Very well, I suppose that proper introductions are in order. After all, it's only the polite thing to do.
[smear:FFFFFF]The Navi's white lab-coat flaps quietly in the wind as he takes a step forward and folds his arms behind his back, his friendly smile now overtaken by the smile of a calculating mastermind; vaguely arrogant, and very much in control of the situation.[/smear:aa00dd]
I am Gate, the one in control of World 3, and I am here today to remove you from my equations.
Gate stands firm and laughs under his breath, looking on as the master of all that he surveys.

Her smile had done the same just as soon as his did. But while she still didn't hold a malicious air to her, it was more than apparent that she had come looking for a fight. That was the reason behind such an announcement. To offer the incentive for the engagement to begin one way or another. For whatever reasons behind her desire for the fight, the look in her eyes said she was honed in on the knowing leader himself.
"I agree wholeheartedly. This is out of order for us as well. But you were on our list too. But introductions first."
The object on her left arm left off a violent surge of energy as green, purple, and orange light starting to shimmer around it. Even as it was engaged there was no signs of life from it, the multi-colored energy surging even fiercer. And It had formed into a sort of laser sword surrounding the triangle and sprouting from it, a blade easily twice as long as she was tall. It had already pierced through the ground with ease, dragging it through the ground in an instant and raising it level to point toward Gate.
"I have been given the designation of Magnolia. Likewise, I'm here to take you out of any future equations."
The length of the weapon changed immediately, becoming half the length that it was as five swipes occurred, an afterimage of her arm left behind as five waves of green light tore forth, leaving behind a palpable trail as it did. The path that it tore across became discolored and lost its luster, practically as though all life that existed in it was taken from it just from the passing of the attacks.

The green energy soars forward like a diving falcon, draining away and dealing tremendous damage to the entire area as it slams into Gate himself.... only to do nothing to the World 3 tyrant. His stance is unchanged, and his demeanor is unchanged. By some means, Gate had entirely negated Magnolia's attack without moving a muscle.
Gate: Please, my dear. Do you honestly believe that you're a threat to me? I'm afraid that it takes something with a bit more power than you to make this a fair fight. And that's exactly why I'm not the one that you'll be fighting...

"A pretty small one, isn't she?"
*The voice came from not that far away, beaming into sight as a blue light that expanded outward as if on demand, lightning surging around it before it calmed down. What stood beyond the light was a uniquely designed navi, wearing darkish blue and white armor, the parts not covered in armor being black in color, his legs trimmed with gold lines and his hands white as well. He had a buckle around his waist, gold at the front back black at the sides and no one could see, a sort of grayish blue on the back. He wore a blue helmet that let long blueish hair down to the middle of his back flow down, the helmet being elongated on the sides and having a green gem on either side, a red visor over his eyes that concealed them from sight with a smile on his face.*
"But I'm not one to judge. So let's have some fun, yeah?"
*He would check her out for her defensive first, jumping up as he fired a salvo of energy shots at her and passed over her, drawing a beam saber as he did. It had a golden hilt and a circular guard, but the blade it produced was a deep red hue, aiming to cut her with it as he passed over her and touched back down on the ground.*
