I was dilly-dallying in the site's coding for a new feature I'm wanting to implement, but I need to check its compatability with different operating systems and browsers. The test is simple:
::mettaur::
Step 1
If you see an image of a Mettaur, post saying so.
If you just see the text ::mettaur:: then post saying that as well
(NOTE: Don't just say "I see ::mettaur::", because it's going to just show up as an image on my screen. I need to know what you see on yours!)
Step 2
Post the following information as well:
- Your Operating System (Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android)
- Your Browser/Application (IE, Safari, Android Internet)
Step 3 (Only if you DON'T see the image)
- On Computer: Check to see if Javascript is turned on/off
- On Any: Reload the page (Especially later on if you, say, navigated from Page 2 of this thread into Page 1. This is a known problem that breaks lots of codes on this site, such as Spoilers. Not really sure how to fix that one still.)
- On Computer: Check for Browser Updates. If you were missing one and this fixed the problem, say so (IE don't backspace and turn the post into "works fine" -- I need to know the points of failure)
- On Phone (Internet): Scroll to the bottom of the site, and somewhere in the bottom right should be the word "Desktop". Click that, then try again when the site reloads (Again, if the test failed for you before, but worked after trying this, post saying so). If this still fails, check to see if Javascript is enabled.
- On Phone (Tapatalk/Forum App):
Step 4
- Type ::mettaur:: anywhere in your post
- Later on, when enough people have posted, I'll ask you guys to come back into this thread to check whether or not having a ton of mettaur codes on the page slows it down at all or not.
And that's it for now. Thanks for the help!
