Kido Shin
[Electopian National Combined School]
Touted as the future of education by its founders, the ENCS is a combined High School and University for both mandatory and furthering education. Though it does not support dorms, it is a simple bullet train from Millions Heights, a short 45 minute commute to the school.
The campus itself is laid out in a pentagon, Five massive buildings serve as monuments surrounding an interior garden. Each building supports a different discipline vital to today's world, from development to maintenance, research to net-battling, and everything between. You can learn it here at the ENCS.
Recent world developments however have caused foreign students to be on the decline, as borders for contries grow tighter following the wake of several world threatening events. Tensions among teachers and student body alike are high.
Shin walked into the Electopian National Combined School, flashing his old student ID Card to get past the front gate. Since he hadn't dropped out, and was actually just a "no show" to his last few years of High School, they still had him in the system, just in case he decided to show up one day. While it would raise a few red flags in the system, should someone check the logs and notice that a No-Show suddenly showed up, he didn't plan on staying around long enough for that to be an issue.
It had been six months since he sent StrifeMan on an ill-advised training trip into the Undernet. Not long after, the borders cracked down, and all outside connections to the deepest regions of the Net were shut down. His only companion and closest friend was locked down, without any form of communication. Ever since the separation, Shin had been looking up and down in all of the darkest reaches in search of a way to open up a connection for him. He knew how StrifeMan could get without a person to direct him, and, with each failed attempt, he worried just how his faithful Navi was going to be once he was finally rescued.
Walking through the front door, Shin started through the halls, raising the rolled down turtle neck to cover the lower half of his face. He dipped past the thoroughfare of students and teachers alike, on his way for a specific part of the school.
Throughout the world, little corners existed that acted as a direct link to the Undernet. It was like any other jack-in port to the Net, but rather than jacking into a particular Network or machine server, it was a hyperspeed fast track right into the deepest corner of the net. While Shin wasn't as outwardly connected to the dark recesses and under market as some other less than altruistic NetOps, he knew when and where to look or listen. Shin believed that, near the middle of the school, in an old server room, he would be able to find a little server port that would get him to where he needed to go.
He was on his way. If he could only make a simple connection for StrifeMan to connect to, he could get his old friend out of his six month long prison.
That, and the sooner he got StrifeMan out of the Undernet, the sooner he could leave this school. He was certain that was the fifth teacher he dipped past that looked at him like he was some kind of delinquent, debating on whether or not they should send him off somewhere or shove him into a detention session he sneaked out of.
