Through the sprawling streets of Netopia's castle town, hidden away behind alley after alley into a small clearing. A disassembler once sat in the center of the clearing. Commonly used by many to get rid of unnecessary things and get bugfrags out of it, but abused by some looking to just make some quick frags by feeding tons of copies of the same, cheap program. Now in the clearing, something like a navi stands, its breathing audible from the alleys leading into the area. A heavy, slow breath escaping its pointed face, jagged teeth bared and white dots where its eyes should be stare blankly as it stands, as if waiting for something or someone. Hunched over it only stood about five and a half feet tall, but a great hole in its chest stood out still, covered in static entirely. Clawed hands hung down at its side, the data in the air around them seemingly changing to cubes of green and orange as it touched each claw, falling and rising without concern, as if unsure what to do with itself.
Over its head, in a yellow, easy to read font spelled out "Disassembler". Though the text seemed to be flickering in and out, all except for the "D" at the start.
[Navis may no longer join this event. Participants are locked in.]

"So, uh, is this the place?"
Labrys was already getting dissapointed as they kept going down the wrong paths. She had gotten tired of walking, and eventually just climbed onto Uni's shoulders. Uni let out a sigh before responding.
"The clearing is right here. We simply made a wrong turn earlier."
Uni trotted slowly into the clearing, expecting the Navi posting on the BBS along with a broken dissasembler, but his expectations shifted as only one entity stood before them.
"Lady Labrys, it appears that we are too late. It seems we have entered a scenario I was hoping to not enter."
"Eh?"
Labrys looks up towards the bugged being before them, examining its monstrous features in detail before speaking.
"Oi! I know ya are all bugged up and stuff, but can ya speak? Is it completely controllin ya? I don't want to have to resort to violence all the time!"
[Labrys V4 and Uni V1 have entered the fray!]

Vanguard.EXE
One back alley after the next, following a trail of data left behind like bread crumbs from the incredibly injured darkloid. With each turn, Vanguard expected to see the whelp limping through the shadows - only for his data analytics to suddenly recalculate, the information repopulating without prompting.
Something was tampering with his network connection. That is the only possible explanation. His data analytics were running fine; there weren't any issues with the analytics, themselves. His connection with the Siega Network, though, was flaring in and out, with some kind of unknown interference bugging with the data and repopulating his analytical search parameters. Were it not for this interruption, the Net would have one less piece of scum to worry about.
Vanguard needs to find the darkloid. But, to do that, he needs to track down whatever was causing these anomalies - he pulls up his connection with the BBS, to start. Something like this couldn't be just focused on him, right?
Reading over the most recent activity, Vanguard focuses on the Rogue Disassembler. The local disassembly factory was actually nearby, where the created bugfrags wouldn't harm anything important: Shoved into the dark corners of Element City, in the very same alleyways that he is in.
Uploading those coordinates, Vanguard makes his way through the winding back alleys. While he did not succumb to these dark paths for his usual work, they were a necessity for hunting down the Darkloids. Luckily, within a few turns, he found his problem.
The Rogue Disassembler, as the thing was being called, stood a full head shorter than Vanguard, and seemed to be constantly changing - the bugged information that surrounded their body was unlike anything Vanguard had seen, before. Interesting, to say the least.
But, not interesting enough to allow to remain. For one, the thing was a large mass of bugged information, which wasn't good for anyone.
"Vanguard, reporting in," he whispers, kneeling down on a single knee. "Accessing server to affirm destruction of a target. Begin monitoring this area, and put resources forward to repair any network damage.
"Engaging entity for infraction, now."
Vanguard loads a battle chip into his Battle Custom, and raises his right hand just as it transforms into a dark purple cannon. Raising the cursor sight to his eye, he locks onto the rogue disassembler.
Ready.
Aim.

The sound of an almost canter of footsteps echoed throughout the empty streets as JewelMan made his way toward the Disassembler. All four of his legs clip-clopped as he moved, the roving juggernaut turning his upper body this way and that as he did so. He held a few bits of interesting data that he had found on the job, and was looking to see about getting it disassembled into something a little more useable. In the back of his mind, he recalled the BBS post about such a thing, in that the disassambler had actually bitten someone, but he didn't think that it was true. After all, after posting it, the navi hadn't ever responded back to anyone.
Instead, JewelMan sought to both check it out for himself, as well as perhaps get something even more interesting out of the disassembler. For all he knew, with it being bugged out as it was, perhaps he could even get double prizes!
The happy little clopping however came to a slowed pace before it finally stopped. He saw the thing that was standing where the disassembler usually was, but beyond that, he also saw a few navi around it as well, none of them looking like they were going to stand down. One, a female, seemed like she was trying to reason with it, but there was another who had already locked in a Cannon chip, aiming it right at whatever this was.
"Oh come now my dears~. Perhaps our friend here is just a little tired, that's all. Certainly, having a cannon waved in your face is just a terrible tragedy. Disassembler, my friend, perhaps you should just take a rest, my friend? Long hours and no play make for a very dull Navi~" JewelMan offered as he cantered around them, watching the small group of Navi as he waited for the Disassembler to respond...or for it to attack. ((The exceedingly blinding JewelMan has entered the fight!))

PlagueMan.ERR
The pandemic knew their way to the disassembling unit far too well. Once upon a time, they spent nearly all of their hours here, searching for more and more of the ever allusive bugfrags that practically called out to them. No matter how many programs or items they fed into the disassembler, or how many bugfrags it spat out at them, their own corrupted data seemed to call out for more. It was like their own data had become addicted to the process of collecting more corrupted data.
It was something of a dark time for them, but, it ended in allowing them to become what they were, today. The process thereafter was scary and unforgiving, and, it was for that reason that they wanted to be there for someone else going through the same thing. PlagueMan made their way through the Net to the Disassembler as fast as they could, travelling as a massive cloud of noxious and even mesmerizing colors through the net, doing their best to keep their own bugged collective from distorting the net around them.
Skipping the long trip through the alley ways, they plotted their data pool right in the clearing that held the disassembler. Falling down as a blob of collected data, they solidified - for the most part - into a writhing mass of amorphous colors. At risk of splattering all over the place, they try to keep themselves together, the collective dragging themselves back towards the center and slowly but surely forcing their form upwards to try and make some semblance of being.
Come on, now. We can do this!
This was easily the most difficult part of breaking up their collective to travel around. They could never just load in to somewhere as their preferred form. They always plopped down as a mass of writhing navis that looked like a rather unhealthy liquid (not inaccurately so, either, considering the damage they caused to the net around them through glitches and errors and destruction of data), without a clue of which way was up. Or any other direction, for that matter. And somehow, this blasted lead coat always got caught up somewhere in their collective, and they found it a chore to fish it out and force it back open so that they can shove their form down into it.
Which is what they were doing, now. After finding a minor semblance of humanoid shape, they fish around in their collective, and their centermost members push open and push out the metal coat from their core, pushing it to their outer layer. All at once, the metal coat expanded from their innermost and clamped around their outermost, and, with a few more shifts in their collective and reshaping of their form, PlagueMan stood amongst the crowd of Navis.
Their form solidified itself with a violent shaking motion, and the collective opened their facsimile for eyes. These eyes were entirely unnecessary, of course, and were just to look natural - they had millions upon millions of eyes looking in every direction, constantly reporting feedback to the entire collective, from each and every member in their hivemind. Just behind them, for instance, they can see a female Navi who seemed to want to help the "rogue disassembler;" just behind her, there was a rather radiant mass of green scuttling about on four legs, cantering around and trying to make friends with the disassembler; to their right, they could only barely detect the foot falls of another Navi, who was priming some sort of weapon at the disassembler.
They made a note to keep a few eyes on him.
In front of them, was the rogue disassembler. Much as had happened to them before they gained full control of their corrupted mass, it looked like the Navi has been forced into a state where she was no longer in control of her own form, the Bugged Data forcing her to go out of control. They knew this feeling well; thankfully for them, though, just after they got infected by the bugged data that seemed to call out to them, they got sucked into an unending, looped server of their own code.
She didn't seem to have the same, uh, luxury.
PlagueMan makes note of all the other Navis present, and decides that they will wait to see how this situation goes before deciding who to support. With any luck, this will not degrade into a fight - this Navi didn't need someone to attack her, she needs help. For the time being, PlagueMan was keeping their own bugged collective as much in check as they can manage, but, the data around their own form wasn't fairing any better than the data around the disassembler. They came to help with her transition, and, with any luck, their experience handling this will make it easier.
If she was truly out of control, though . . . they pushed that thought to the back of their mind, ignoring it.
"Greetings," they echoed, their collective speaking as one, the resonating voices, some of them late or early, others looped and pitched in odd ways, jumbling together in otherwise perfect harmony. "We are PlagueMan, and have been where you are at, now. We understand what you're going through, and only wish to help . . . the bugged data that holds over you is also in us," they pause, referencing the disassembling unit behind the navi.
"That very same unit assaulted us with BugFrags, too. It must be very confusing to be where you are at, now, but, we assure you, your transition will not be a difficult one," they finish, flaring their form out at their last promise as a warning to the other Navis present, allowing but a small bit of their corrupted data to run rampant for a moment. Meanwhile, the whole time, their own form was constantly shifting and warping, bits of data floating off to change into something else or just raw static or cubes of data, much like the disassembler before them.
They wanted to make it known that they were nearly one and the same with the disassembler. They could tell that the other Navis here were hardly on the same level - except for the female, just behind them. She seemed to be the strongest of the lot, which made PlagueMan a little worried.
We may have to fight them all. Keep the disassembler from harm, while, at the same time, keep it from harming any of them.

You!
Even as Navis gather around the disassembler and prepare to take action against it, a tear opens in the coding of the net itself, revealing a monochromatic cascade of binary and hexadecimal code. Within this window into the inner workings of the net, a tall and strong figure slowly appears, walking through the data like rain. Dull, steel armor covers his form, with strange crystals of day-glow green adorning that. His visage is strong and confident, with bright red eyes peering out from behind his crystalline armor and a large metal hammer held in his hands as if it were weightless.
The Navi steps out into the world at large with a solid stomp of a metal foot and raises his eyes to the disassembler. He looks it over for a moment, standing tall with confidence and an air of unshakable strength. Finally, he brings his hammer about to one hand and holds it vertically, slamming the jeweled end of the handle into the ground. This causes the hole behind him to shut itself, and leaves the focused Navi with one goal...
Vytrex: You were deleted, and it is my charge to ensure that your data is fully erased. Do not resist....
Vytrex brings his hammer back to ready, widening his stance as he glares at the mass of data before him.
Vytrex: ....otherwise I'm going to get SERIOUSLY chewed out for not erasing you sooner!

[smear:FFFFFF]As people funneled in, the creature didn't move much more than it already had been. Its eyes remained blank even as those who sought to destroy it took their aim. It would seem it wouldn't react until struck first. Each individual seemed to be looking at it differently, either as a victim, a bystander, or perhaps just a plain old Disassembler. Some just saw it as a mistake needing to be wiped out, and perhaps who thought that was most correct. However it was unlikely to happen easily, as the creature seemed mostly unresponsive.
However, the appearance of one navi did seem to spark a reaction. One Plagueman.ERR, the source of its suffering and abuse. Alongside that B.o.B. navi, both of which fed it multitudes of the same program, shoving them down its throat all to get the bugfrags that came of doing so, and the plagued one to get the power of the bugs on his side as well. What selfish acts would soon lead it to this realization of self, yet also this pained existence.
As Plagueman entered the scene, coming closer to the bestial navi, the ways to the alleys closed themselves off. The buildings which lined them seemed to distort ever so slightly before crashing together, cutting off all escape. Even on high the sky quickly turned from its fair blue with clouds to a blaring error message. The stage was set.
The time was for Revenge.[/smear:d50000]
The creature before those who stood let out a fierce roar, waves of bugged data rippled from its maw wracking those who stood before it. In an instant, all around its body formed layers upon layers of what some might know as the Alpha Barrier program, and above its head, the flashing letters finally flickered out, only the D remained. It centered itself above the navi, and in short time, new red letters appeared around it. The creature that stood before this group of curious navis.

Vytrex: ...crap.
Vytrex raises an arm and literally shoulders the entire onslaught, holding his ground against the disassembler's attacks. His eyes flash from red to green as the gems across his body flash white with every impact, seeming to absorb some of the kinetic energy into themselves. The overall damage was minimal, but it was already clear that the rouge contraption wouldn't simply go quietly into the ni-ohhey Navis!
Vytrex pauses for a moment and looks around, blinking several times as a realization dawns on him like a ton of bricks. He'd been on the top-side of the net a few times, sight-seeing in remote areas and learning about the culture that he'd been denied (which also explains why he hadn't finished his job), but this was his first time actually seeing non-embeded Navis in a format that he could actually converse with them. This... this was actually a rather monumental moment for the deletion Navi, one that he'd have to take a moment to properly express.
Vytrex: ....hi.
....Vytrex waves at JewelMan with a blank smile, at this point acting as though the disassemble wasn't even there. A monumental moment indeed.
Feeling slightly less... epic... Vytrex swings his hammer to the side without really paying attention, hoping to hit one of the disassembler's many barriers as he looks around wide-eyed at all of the Navis in the area in a manner similar to a shy toddler's first day of preschool.
Defense Phase
Unbreakable The natural effect of his hardened armor and strong body give Vytrex formidable endurance. Defense skill Increases the user's base max HP 2.5x. The user's armor is set at 0 and cannot be raised in any way/shape/form, including via outside sources.
Impenetrable The toxic crystals on Vytrex' body absorb damage with high efficiency, making all but the base strength of an opponent worthless against him. Defense skill The user is allowed to ignore all in-battle damage boosts used by the opponent, directly or indirectly. The User treats all attacks as though they deal the damage stated in the opponent's stats regardless of additions/reductions/added effects applied in-battle. Attacks with self-boosting properties always deal the lowest possible amount to the user. The user cannot directly lower the opponent's damage via attacks/skills, though The opponent's self-imposed/indirectly effected damage reductions still count. User cannot avoid The user is constantly inflicted with LV5 Poison. This status effect cannot be cured and has no time limit.

PlagueMan.ERR
The Navi exuded a sudden force of bugged data, and the very environment changed. They had never considered using their power over their form in this way, but . . . this being seemed to have no qualms with the idea.
Whatever the issue, the beast never seemed to have any worries until they arrived. Perhaps . . . no, it couldn't be. They pushed that thought to the back of their collective mind, and prepared for the worst, as a wave of familiar, corrupted data, not unlike their own, pulsed over their form.
In response, they release a rapidly expanding burst of fungal-based Navis into the air around them, the collective rapidly growing to make a barrier of fungal shrooms around them. The bugged data ripped through it easily enough, but, the collective remained strong. Constant deterioration of their own data was nothing new to them; their data practically ripped itself apart at times, only to rebuild itself even faster.
PlagueMan strikes by reeling back, and surging forward with their own burst of bugged data, rippling forward from their very being, realizing that it would be foolish to support this thing, now. Whatever it was, it was not a normal Navi - not even like them, even. It was a monster all its own, and it was out for blood. Instead, they would help the other Navis put the beast back into its place.
As they surged forward in a burst of corrupted data, they also expanded outward to search for prospective hosts - their form was like a literal virus, needing symbiotic relations with a host to survive. While the hivemind could support itself as a collective entity, they were strongest within another. In this case, they chose among the strongest and most durable Navis to take residence within - the jewel-covered man with the hammer, the only barely visible darkloid with the cannon, and the only other Navi who had tried to reason with the monster.
Nearly as soon as they took residence within the hammer-wielding Navi, the bugged wave wracked over him, too. Their collective members responded by adapting, and sending a connection path that allowed the whole of the collective - and all connected members - to grow stronger for it.

Good. No one tried to stop him.
However, as more Navis arrived, the bugged entity got more and more frustrated - which meant that it would be harder to take down.
At least, this way, it might stand a chance against him, Vanguard thought, grinning to himself.
Before he could pull the trigger, though, the beast roared, and a series of barriers rose, one after the other, creating a series of colorful bubbles that slowly but surely concealed the beast underneath them all.
That was a lot of protection.
Considering the barriers for but a moment, Vanguard changes his tactics. His battle scanners tell him that these barriers were special - and incredibly plentiful. Storing away his DarkCannon chip for later use, Vanguard places a single hand on the ground before him, a new chip in mind.
"Goodbye."
As Vanguard downloads his new chip, he feels two separate waves of bugged data flow over him - first, from the monstrous thing itself, which burned up in a flare of darklight flames that he summons from his core; and, another, from someone else. This second one felt less malevolent, though, and he felt infused with greater power, as something latches onto his inner being and began to make him stronger.
Fire.
Instead of releasing his signature cannon fire, Vanguard pressed down on his hand and lifted off of the ground, rolling into a double spin-kick that released a series of powerful waves of darkness from his foot, circling around and licking against the rogue disassembler's barriers. Despite the defensive measures the disassembler was using, he'd find that his barriers were rather useless against his trained techniques.

Labrys reached for her axe and unfolded it before jumping off of Uni. The being's large roar was quickly followed by onslaughts of area attacks. Labrys's axe became engulfed in white light, but quickly the light shattered and reformed itself into Ariadne. Ariadne held Labrys as the attacks came in, but she took some of the beast's proximal influence as well. "Thanks Ariadne! Now, lets get this party rollin, Uni! Asterius!!"Darkness poured from Labrys's axe and engulfed Ariadne as well as herself. Another large roar could be heard, on par with BreakDown's, as Asterius shook the field as half of him stood through the data of the floor. Shadow Labrys emerged with her clothes changing to a black, purple, and dark teal-ish color. You may have a ton of barriers on you, but little did you know I know how to get past 'em!--Shadow Labrys ran up to BreakDown and attempted to slice straight through his massive defense, but found much surprise to hear the clanging of her axe against it and backed off. "Wha- what? How did ya stop that?" "Lady Labrys, those barriers are too thick for you to cut through. We will have to take them down one by one. My analysis shows they shouldn't be too strong."Uni chimed in as he summoned illusions of Rosary to onslaught BreakDown's position. "Errrrgh fine! =========================== "Well then, I say," JewelMan spoke as the world around them seemed to...change. He wasn't quite sure what had happened, at least not at first. But unlike the others who watched the Disassembler, waiting for it to do something, JewelMan's gaze drifted out around them as the buildings themselves seemed to close down around them, cutting them off from being able to escape. "Hm," the Navi spoke quietly, mostly to himself as he saw the Disassembler beginning to notice a certain Navi first that JewelMan found absolutely horrid. Still, while he wanted it to be, it wasn't his place to comment.
Instead, he began to move, his four legs carrying him around the Disassembler as it starte dto go more than a little bit berserk, and JewelMan gave a small wince of pain at the flooding of energy from the creature. Whatever this was, it was certainly something dangerous. A wave of energy then caused JewelMan's arm to erupt into a wide shield of diamonds, the Navi protecting itself from the onslaught. Even still, it pushed him back a few steps, despite the four legs anchored into the ground. Whatever this thing was, it had incredible power behind it...and JewelMan wasn't entirely sure that he would survive if he tried to fight it.
Still, he wasn't going to just...back out of something like this. If the others were going to fight, then he might as well too. "Well then my dearies, if this little monster isn't going to behave, I guess we'll just have to give it a little spanking, hm?" he asked, before he heard an almost 'shy' greeting from one of the other Navi. He blinked, before turning a wide, starry grin onto Vyrtex. "Well hello to you too, dearie! Aren't you an interesting, strong-looking individual? Built for heavy work I'd say- I could use you in the mines...but that will be for later~" the man cooed, before looking back at their opponent.
He began to gallop forward into the fray, looking to help reduce the plethora of shields that seemed to cover the creature's body! =========================== JewelMan Turn One =========================== Defense:

The being looked winded after its initial outburst, but its stayed head turned, an eye always sat on Plagueman. All around it, navis bashed into its unwanted but protective barriers as each layer shattered like glass to ground. As its panting slowed, it raised a claw and pulled back exposing its chest of static, as if ready to move in and strike once again, but something caught its eye. A hail of lasers from Vanguard made it past its barriers somehow, piercing small holes to get through. BreakDown leaned back even more, catching the lasers each in the the hole of static. Seemingly absorbed, the being slumped back down, before shooting a glance at who fired on it. A spark of dark energy and a burp from BreakDown's mouth, sending a small later into Vanguard before BreakDown finally moved. Reeling back and then shoving its claws into the ground with incredible force, its claws dug into the grounds beneath. From its back, exploding bugged arms, thin as twigs each wrapped around a thin cannon, aiming from on high at each navi, releasing beams of corrupted energy at the opposition, with two beams coming at he who instigated the attack, Vanguard.
As the lasers finish firing, BreakDown quickly rolls, breaking off the grown arms with a shriek of pain. On all fours and a quick push, the beast rockets toward, slamming a clawed hand into Plagueman. The claw intermixed with the combined being of many, its energy almost becoming one with the hive navi. But the hand slowly was being pulled out, tendrils from each individual bug that made up Plaugeman came with it, like a web pulling at its being they spun into BreakDown's claw, the form of a program not unlike the kind it would dismantle before.
To Plagueman however, the pain of it was greater, as the Disassembler creature pulled the program out, the collective could feel it. Not only the feeling of having a graft pulled out of your body, but like each and every bug was being tortured, crying out in pain as if being punished but its source for standing up for the one who pulled them out of BreakDown's being.
With a final rip, BreakDown pulled the full program out of Plagueman, jumping back, the program then dismantled itself into the creature. A flash of light surrounded him so slightly as it finished. Turning its head back and forth, it looked for its next threat. Combat

"Uni!"
Uni stood resilient against the onslaught from BreakDown, but it was clear to see he was already reaching his limit.
"Uni, take a break ya hear?! Ya're gonna overwork yourself!"
Labrys held her axe up to deflect the precision laser copy of Vanguard's attack.
Uni panted before speaking.
"Lady Labrys, worry not. We must support the others here."
Uni looked around as he summoned more illusions of Rosary. The green Navi seemed to stand still rather often. Maybe he had a purpose similar to Uni's? Either way, now's not the time.
"Pardon me, green one and crystal-ed one, stand closer. Allow my incense to enhance your combat capabilities. We shall not allow the dissambler any opening."
Then, Uni witnessed the Dissambler tear apart a bugged Navi a little distant from them, and tried to start running over, but Shadow Labrys already flew over, riding her axe.
"Ay are ya alright buggy friend? Ya have an awful lot of power that ya're givin' me. If ya need it for yourself ya can hold onto it."

JewelMan looked on as their attacks crashed against the creature with very little effect...until Vanguard unleashed a torrent of lasers upon the beast. The attacks crashed against it...but they seemed to just...be pulled into the static-like vortex that lay within the beast. "How exciting!" JewelMan exclaimed, clapping his hands together and hopping a bit with all four of his legs out of his excitement. This was something that he was quite excited for...and he didn't even know why!
However, the attack came back around toward him, and the Navi had no means of readying another shield- it took time to get it to regrow into a usable format- how unfortunate. Instead, he readied his Amethyst, the core of it pulsing with a newfound energy as he forced it to, much like the diamond shield, to grow, and as the attack came down, JewelMan hid behind, giving a small grunt of pain as it struck his defenses, causing him to take a forced step backward. "This is not what I expected to find at all! I have never seen such variation in code!" the navi cried excitedly, even as the amethyst shield faded from him.
"Let us see just what he can do!" he exclaimed, his jewel weaponry coming to bear around him. =========================== JewelMan Turn One =========================== Defense:

In a fairly well oblivious show, Vytrex just smiles and nods to JewelMan, feeling rather proud that the one Navi of similar armament would take notice of the obvious.
Vytrex: Oh, the data mines? I actually work the back e-
This is when the indirect attacks from the monstrosity hit Vytrex. He barely flinches and only moves an inch or so from it, but his expression becomes slightly harder and more annoyed as he takes the damage, a fact that is framed by the green glow in his eyes growing slightly brighter.
Vytrex: ....
With a slightly more serious nature, Vytrex turns back to the disassembler. He then drops his forearms and holds his lower arms out vertically, tightening his focus as he does so. The gems across the deletion Navi's body flash white and release a blinding flare of light towards the target, followed immediately by a rain of bright green beams that rain down from the sky, each flashing white as they impact the barriers and dissipate within. Vytrex then rushes in and swings his hammer around like a golf-club, attempting to break through one more barrier for good measure.
